Here are my top five board games of September. I've been on tour and traveling most of September, so I've been mostly playing lighter, smaller box games. These are my favorite of them. Wonder Bowling is a small box dexterity game that's very fun and pretty unique. You put a bunch of bowling pins on a box and you have to use this mallet to knock off pins. And if you can knock off every bowling pin except for one, that's a strike. Got Five is a deduction game where you have tiles in front of you, but you can't see them and you have to deduce what the value of your tiles is. And, you know, a lot of deduction games are kind of big, break-your-brain games. This one is like chill and plays really quick. So, if you want like an easy deduction game, Got Five is great for that. Star Catcher is a little box card game that's quick and fun and it's kind of one of those card games where you can just turn your brain off a little bit and socialize and just chill and play a game. I'm surprised I liked it as much as I did, but Posers is a great party game. It is a game like The Chameleon or Detective Club or Fake Artist Goes to New York, where one person doesn't know the hidden word, the secret word. And in this game, you have to strike a pose.

Everybody sees a word and you just have to strike a pose and then you're trying to figure out who doesn't know the word and who's just faking a pose. And my number one game of the month was definitely the game Pop Art. This is a game where you are drafting and passing cards and then building a tableau in front of you, but every time you put a card in your tableau, you are using a background card and a transparency card over it. So, you're changing the colors, you're changing the composition of the cards. And then it's all about scoring, you know, this card scores if it's in a row with this card and this card scores if it's next to this card. A lot of puzzly scoring like that.
