Best Board Game Box EVER? - Excalibur Sneak Peek!

I just got back from Clayshshire Castle, kind of an undisclosed location where I got the chance to see and play Excalibur. This is the newest game from Roxley and Manny Trembley, the designer and illustrator for a lot of it. And today, we're not going to tell you much about the game. In fact, I may I may not even be allowed to show you what I'm showing you here on the table.

This is the game set up. But today, I have to tell you about this box. I just showed it to Ryan for the first time to get his reaction. My reaction yesterday when I saw this was this might be the best board game box ever. Certainly that I've ever seen. I mean, it's not only one of the Yes. It's not only though.

It's not only one of the coolest boxes. I mean, just for anything, just I'm a big presentation and packaging guy. I'm a huge fan of like the unboxing experience of getting Even my wallet came in like a really nice So yeah, you get a new iPhone. Just like the degree of the presentation of the packaging is always nice.

This doesn't feel like you're unboxing the next board game from Roxy. This feels like No, this is crazy an experience. When I opened mine yesterday, it would had brown paper around it to like kind of uphold the surprise aspect of it. And even then when I saw it, I didn't realize till later when I got home everything that this box did.

First of all, it's got dual layer sides. you know, this really nice effect. Got foil going on, but the top of it has one, two, three, four layers deep. And I when I saw that, I was like, whoa. And then you see this Excalibur, this sword in the middle, and you're like, oh, wow, that's metal. What I didn't realize when I was looking at it at first is this.

This thing opens, revealing Excalibur even more with even more gold foil. Not only that, it's metal because it's magnetized to the front of the box. This is also a component for the game, which we will explain in a future date very soon. But these metal swords, it's one of three metal swords, and this is a deluxe edition, but it's three metal swords that divide up the table, but it's right there on the front of the box.

This is, I think, the best board game box I've ever seen. even without the sword. This I I told David I I'm a big first of all big King Arthur Avalon. He was correcting me on some things already. We were talking a little bit about Excalibur and the history of Excalibur, but besides that, I just like as a game, yes.

But just like even just to have this as a display piece with all my with all your King Arthur with all my King Arthur stuff is so and the fact that it just there's nothing more satisfying to me. Well, if you've watched the channel at all, you know that we're fans of magnets. There's a magnet here, too.

Hold on. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, no. I know. There's There's magnets all over the place. There's magnets everywhere. And if you're out there watching this and still watching it going, "What are you guys doing talking about a board game box?" Just wait until you see this because once you hold this in your hands and you take a look at it, you're going to go like, "Okay, that's Yeah.

I think this is one of the rare uh instances where like people say all the time like, well, you don't need the most deluxe version." And it's like, sure, nobody needs maybe the most deluxe version, but you get what you pay for. And when you hold in your hands and you unbox it for the first time, you're like, oh man.

Yeah, this is truly deluxe. Again, we'll have more details on what they're going to be offering on their campaign whenever it comes. As well as telling you a little bit more about the game. I had the chance to play it twice yesterday with like six to seven people. Going to get it played. You can play it at two-player, which is interesting.

I've heard that it's actually a very unique and different experience there. But we'll give you all those details in a future video. We just wanted I had to share with you this box because when I shared it with Ryan, he was like, "Oh, we should just do a video on the box. This is the coolest box I've ever seen." So, that's what we're doing.
