What's up everybody? My name is Nick. I'm Mike. We are the brothers. Today at the game house we are playing Curiosity killed
done killed that cat.

But you're trying to be the one who didn't get killed by the curiosity.
You're trying to to use your nine lives and be the last cat standing from round to round in order to collect souls in a four-player game which what we're playing today. You're trying to collect three souls first. We're also getting into cat fights, stealing the lives of each other, and also working on some rituals because, let's be honest, we're ritualistic cats here, right? So, uh, what we're going to do is we're going to show you an overview of how this game goes. This is a game where you're going to be lying and bluffing your way throughout, and then we're going to hop right into this chaotic, uh, lie fest because cats, let's be honest, are not honest people. In Curiosity Killed, the cat, players are trying to be the last cat standing in each round to be the first to earn three souls in a four-player game. During each round, the active player will draw a card and then offer it to the next player in their turn order. They won't reveal the card, but the card will be lives for the taker of the card, deaths, cat burglars, and cat fights, and cards that can be added to rituals. The goal is to be the last cat standing with lives each round.
After you offer a card to a player, you are free to tell the truth about the card or blatantly lie. Cats do what they want. The player receiving the card must now decide to either accept the card, revealing it and carrying out its effects, or they can reject the card. When they reject a card, they must lose one life, and then they can peek at the card. They then pass the card to the next player in turn order, and they can again corroborate or lie just like the initial player. The new player now has the same choice to lose a life and reject the card or to accept it. If no one accepts it and it gets back to the first player, they must resolve the card. Life and death cards earn or lose lives to the player who resolves them. Cat burglars allow you to steal a life from another opponent and cat fights trigger a rock paper scissors style game where two players will try to outwit their opponent playing a card that defeats their opponent's card. This will be played over three bouts and each time a player loses a hand, they lose three lives. If a player loses all their lives, they are knocked out of the round and can't earn a soul. In addition to the other types of cards, players will collectively be working on three rituals. Each has an effect that immediately takes place when the card is revealed, and the player that plays the last card to a ritual gains a soul attached to it, as well as the special token. For example, the ritual of sacrifice gains the final player a hex, which allows them to redirect deaths from them to another player once per game. Players also have skills they can use to multiply the effects of cards, cancel another player's action, and more. During a round, if only one player is left alive, they earn a soul in the next round begins. In a four-player game, we will be racing to reach three souls, and the first player to do so wins.

All right. So, hey everybody, editor Nick here. So, I just want to point out something that we are doing wrong and we will unfortunately do wrong for the entire video. A little um blurb popped up during the overview that corrected this, but Mike is about to offer this card to Jimmy cuz Jimmy is next in turn order. You do not need to offer them in turn order. There's a part of the rule that we misinterpreted um which is actually now being changed in the rule so it should be clearer moving forward, but we thought you had to offer to the next person in turn order and it had to go all the way around until it got back to the origin person. And in reality, you could offer it to anyone and people can bounce around the table offering it to whoever they want and then once it's been offered to everyone and everyone has denied it, then it'll go back to the origin person. So, just know that throughout this game, we'll be passing them around in turn order, but you do not need to do that. Sorry about that.
