Gen Con 2026 Exhibit Hall Walkthrough
Transcript
Hey everyone, it's Rob and Mel in a hot Indiana uh Indianapolis here at Gen Con. Uh we're going to do a walkthrough of the hall uh like we did a couple years ago that you guys were asking where were we last year. Uh we were not here. So we're going to be here. We're going to do it quicker than last time. Hopefully it's less than 2 and a half hours cuz the hall closes an hour and a half.
We're going to walk around the whole hall aisle 100 up to or aisle one up to 30. Uh, so follow along and we'll just kind of commentate, walk through and yeah, just have fun walking up and down the alis with us. And we obviously can't stop at everything and check out everything, but just kind of give you an idea of how big the hall is, what's here, what's going on. Uh, if you hit the like button, that'd be great. Uh, share with your friends. Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to subscribe. And thanks again to our members uh, and our patrons for helping us come to Gen Con this year. Thank you so much for your support. Uh, if you want to support us, the link is down below. the join button down below here somewhere. Uh so yeah, let's get let's do it.
All right, so we are at
the end kind of of aisle 100
and we're just going to do a UI at the back here, but it is packed today. Uh it is day one. Uh it is day one. So this is aisle 100 that you can see up here. All the signs for each aisle are at the top and this is just the exhibit hall. uh open from 10 to 6 each day uh except for Sunday open 10 to 4 during the 4 day gaming convention and uh this aisle is usually like smaller publishers or crafts and stuff but uh they've been moving stuff around these years so I'll just kind of like flip around here and we'll
see the different stuff and we'll just just walk the aisles. We're not going to stop. Just going to keep walking the aisles, show you knickknacks. Uh what I want to do later uh in the weekend, do some kind of booth tours if I can film film some quick quick videos checking out some individual booths. But for now, we'll just do the walk around the hall just so you guys can see kind of you can pause or check out things in the background. Check out the exhibitor map that's on the Gen Con site. Maybe I'll link that down below if I remember to. And you can kind of see the full layout and where all the publishers are and exhibitors where their booths are. See some custom dice here.
And again, I explained it last time, too, but not all the aisles just go straight up and down. Some of them end in the middle cuz a giant booth that takes over two lanes. I've noticed this here too, lots of uh lot less bags and strollers and stuff that are kind of blocking aisles and things, but some people are still getting them in even though they're technically not allowed in the hall, but
some Alcarina like if Some leather. All right. Some leather outfits.
Very nice. Crafts and stuff.
Everything epic.
Yeah. Thanks everyone who watched our 2024 walkthrough. Uh Mel's falling behind. She's got a mic this time. So
if she notices anything or wants to stop and talk to anyone, we can.
I'm just in a I never went down yet.
Yeah. Yeah. We haven't looked at a lot of stuff. We came in the hall earlier. We're live. Came in the hall uh for the first hour of the con. Having some network issues, of course. So this is why we do the walkthrough. Fully recorded. Nice 4K 60. So hopefully it looks good on your screen, whether it's small or large. Yeah. Watch this on a TV if you want. see all the stuff in the background better than on a phone, I guess, unless your phone is huge.
All right, there's aisle one. We're gonna cut through here or aisle 100, I should say. So, it starts at 100. Uh, and goes up to like 3,000, but technically it's aisle like 1 to 30.
Okay, let's turn around here. Here we got Piso here if I'm saying that right. Piso with their Pathfinder. Tons of products. What was a busy booth?
Yeah, I mean RPGs are a jam. They have some board games every now and then. Pathfinder Quest I think is a board game card game. Nice. There's Mel. All right. There's Mel. She gets up early and doesn't get to sleep in on weekends. So, I'm just kidding. Uh, there is
You want to roll them, right?
They're like falling.
All right.
And yeah, as you can see, if you look up to the sky, if you're looking for your publisher, you're trying to find them in the hall, some of them pay to have big giant banners hanging from the ceiling to help find your way around. But again, some of these booths are like on the end of aisles like this one. They take up like they kind of like are in two aisles. So sometimes you walk by and you miss them but then you catch them on the way back. Candosaurus.
Some cool art. Crossing an Alene here.
Random DND stuff.
Using my very white.
Yeah, that is crazy. second grade and I'm like dude never
Oh my shakurerie board game.
Shakureri shakuri board game.
Yeah, we don't eat at the con either. So
we're obviously hungry. I'm definitely going to be drawn toward games that involve food. Got Bezier games here. Haunted mouse over here. I don't know what this is.
World. I don't know.
Well, look at all those boxes of game makers back there. Jeez Louise.
Game we were talking about on our most anticipated game stream, but I don't know, man. It's definitely a
definitely a very well produced game. I just don't know if the complexity for me uh meets meets the production. I'm not sure yet. I've been I've been hearing it doesn't. But still looks cool. But yeah, it's not not selling out. They definitely brought more than they expected cuz most games most games they bring to the con, even if they bring a ton, if it's a hot game, it will be gone. But I know that's a pricey one and a big one. And like some people just don't want to buy that here and carry that around. And most people who probably want it maybe got it on crowdfunding already. So
it's a tough sell when you bring like a, you know, 200 lb, you know, 3x3 giant box to the con and expect people to grab that and like lug it back to their car or fly with it home or, you know, it's not going to happen, right? But it does look cool. The game does look cool for sure. I debated it, but I I don't think I want to carry that thing around. I don't know if it's worth the price for me. Oh, what do we got here? Oh, I recognize the theme there. That looks like an IP. I know. Lord of the Rings kind of kind of happening there. Is that officially licensed?
Yeah. Yeah, it must be right.
Mordor Riding Club. Oh, this is over here.
That looks sick.
We're going to cut across. I'm like uh you know doing the whole squirrel thing just getting like pulled pulled over to certain things.
Terraria the board game. So you play in terrarium.
It's definitely
hard to move quick through here.
Very crowded.
Hard to see.
Yeah, I can't show every booth. This is impossible. There's too much. I tried to do it last time. It took two and a half hours. I don't know. It's cool. I'm looking forward to walking around through here later uh in the next three days kind of checking some stuff out.
I guess you can check the program.
Hey, Dan.
All right. Kind of walking around here. See what we got.
We buy all magic and Pokemon. Oh, what's this? Someone's cracking Pokemon packs. She's cracking them live on stream. Yeah, look at her ripping through. Got to find the shinies. Got to collect them all.
So yeah, if you guys went to Gen Con or or going to Gen Con, uh let me know what you came to the con for. What what drew you here if you came what would you come for? RPG, some tabletop gaming, horror gaming, cosplay,
certain publishers, certain game system, coming to hang out with friends that you meet every year or you come and see every year, I should say. Yeah, let me know in the comments below what you guys uh what draws you to Gen Con. What's your main thing that pulls you to this con of oh so many things that draw you to cons that could draw you to the con, I should say. Buttons and boats. Play that one. Oh, pub crawlers. Oh, that's that expansion, right?
Oh, yeah. Yeah, I saw that too late that uh you could come and get the expansion here if you knew ahead of time. You could reserve it on their site and then pick it up here.
Oh,
but I looked too late and it was already sold out. So,
sorry guys, they're not going to be playing that on this on the channel anytime soon.
Yeah, they got tons of game makers behind the curtain and they so many that they can't even hide them all behind the curtain. So, yeah, it looks like they're not uh not pushing them as fast as they expected. So, that kind of sucks. cuz it's the it's almost the end of day one and like most games are like hot or like sold out or like should be soon. But again, that's it. That's its own own beast. That's not the usual like easy pickup con game that you just kind of go and shove in your bag and keep going.
Yeah, people are leaving.
Yeah. Let's go to the
Good call.
Pow! World, the official card game being played here in a nice tight booth. Holy crap, they are squeezed in there. Holy crap, that's tight. This booth, Panosaurus looks pretty cool. Nice wide and open. Lots of space to demo games. And then we have Fiso that's just in the middle of the aisle here. So, we can't go all the way to the wall. So, we're going to go Oh, yeah. It's like show seating here for a presentation. You know, you have a big booth when you can have like stadium seating.
Okay, we can just turn here and continue down aisle. Oh, here's a chestex booth. All the dice you could ever want.
Okay, we're in aisle 400 now. According to the ceiling, Madara.
Yeah, look at it all. Still going. Madara's still going.
Portal games. Crystal Cast got floodgate games going on there. Paranormal expansion a solid amount of nos.
Oh, we got Aries games here on the left.
Bunch of demo tables. Not really a lot of people demoing stuff, but except for that one table over there. What's this? We got uh Tal Talisorian Games, if I'm saying that right.
Brotherwise Games over here on my left.
T-shirt vendors. There's a few of them here. Always
glitch gear. selling their wares.
It is hot in here. People using fans, I'm dripping. Yeah,
there's the Bloom Haven booth. Sephare, however you say it, showing off that mercenaries wanted game. in demo form only.
Sorry, bumping the camera. I keep bumping into people. Sorry, guys. Or I'm not. Maybe they're bumping into me. I don't know.
But it is tight. It's definitely tight around here.
As you can see, I'm sure.
Oh, Star Wars card game mats. I'm looking for one and I don't see it.
No, they don't have the mat I want. I want the black generic one and I cannot find it.
Got some uh concession inside. Some burgers and hot dogs. Oh, look at that. Oh, yeah. I'm going to skip artist alley in this video for the reason to save time so we actually can try to get through the whole hall before it closes.
But just know there is a whole section of artists in kind of the back middle of the hall like here. That's cool.
Yeah. Some are like in the artist alley and some are just out in the mixed in. I think this is the edge of artist alley.
Well, this is a bunch of random stuff. Random things for sale. CCGs for sale.
Indie tabletop RPGs. Uh so it's uh
walk through here
miniature market just basically a you know a hobby gaming store in the middle of the con selling all random games and things helping with convention support you know any of that
aspect say that that's not
been a long day. Long day. First day of the con. Day one. Almost near the end of the dealer hall. Closing at 6 p.m. Then we go get food
and maybe get this uploaded to the interwebs
and you guys will be watching.
Hello from the past two of the board game minis.
Yeah, sorry is busy. Last time we did this on a Sunday afternoon so we could like kind of peek in some of the booths a little more, but there are still people shopping and shopping and kind of like everywhere. So it's like you can't really check out every booth
toad. Okay, let's go to the next aisle.
Try to cut in here. Boom. Fair games. [sighs and gasps]
Chaosium. That's where we got to go to check out the demo of that old gods game. Oh, I see it over there.
Okay, hold on. We're just going to go over there quickly just to peek. This is the uh the redo of Forbidden Stars
with like Cthulhu theme. Boom. Yeah, I got a little mini sword already and everything. It's like dual layer cardboard, but just prototype. Okay, I just want to see that to remind myself later to come and check that out. Maybe I'll go and get a demo of that later
so I know I know if it's for me or not. I'm pretty sure it is. We got capstone games.
I think got set on a strategy and I didn't.
I'm sure it will be very difficult.
Yeah. CCGs. We got a Hoy.
Boom. Got some Halo. Halo board gaming. Plants vs. Zombies.
You ever
arcane wonders? the five widths over 300 cosplay wigs.
Yeah.
Awesome.
Really?
Yeah. It's been there for years, I guess. I didn't know it was back there.
Dragon Shield booth here. or the miniature market on the left here.
Oh, yeah. So, art. Okay. So, we're going to This is the art. Yeah. Yeah. We're going to skip this. It's the artist alley stuff. And we're going to try to Go through here.
All right, Dragon Shield. Go to aisle 700.
And yeah, here's artist alley authors and stuff. It's just like different carpeting on the floor to kind of tell you it's there. And then they put some of the artists, other art booths kind of adjacent to it. And uh that's where all the artists are. You can come get things autographed by like um prints of things. And
there's a bunch of a row of like authors at the back doing book signings and things which is cool.
But it is packed in there and I'm going to just avoid it. Nothing I'm looking to buy in there right now. Here we got the other side of Arcane Wonders here. So we got Cat Tower.
Oh, cat tower. Big cat tower. Nice. Got some Rude expansions here. Leader games. We know leader games. Love some root. Smirk and dagger.
Some jewelry on this side.
Have some games. making some sales. Feel like it's a busy con this year.
Crazy Nuto booth here if I'm saying that right. Get the flame. [snorts]
Crypto Zoe. Oh, here we go. Look at the asthma area. It is huge. They have multiple booths spanning multiple aisles, retailing, demoing, all different publishers all under there, including Katon, like I see Space Cowboys, Zman Games, Office Dog, Fantasy Flight Games, Atomic Massive, I didn't already say it, Exploding Kittens, It's very pretty setup. Lots of stuff in there.
And there's the Asthma booth, which has a line that literally takes over two hours. At least it did earlier. Now it's probably like 30 minutes, but it's the slowest moving line in the whole hall.
They have a horrible system this year. Very slow.
Okay, so what's the plan?
Not organized at all. Things sell out. They forget to tell everybody. And then people wait in line for two hours and it was sold out an hour before. We got flying frogs that's just taken up the middle of this aisle here. So I cannot continue. So I will turn which way to go. I'm going to go Yeah, I'm going to go right. And now we're going into aisle 900 here. But again, we have Asminade kind of crossing crossing here, blocking this aisle. So if we go aisle 900, it's very short because if we continue down it, we walk into a wall. So let's go this way. Got game genic, which also under asthma here. Just similar layout, similar style, lots of cool displays. Actually, I want to show these displays cuz they Yeah,
very nice.
Yeah. Yeah. It's a full size.
Yeah. Look at these deck boxes. They have like sweet stuff here. I was gonna do like a little halfass little kind of booth look here. They got some of this cool Star Wars unlimited stuff. Got some magic uh Marvel superheroes playmats. Yeah, I was in here earlier. It's just a nice nice nice booth. Nice setup.
Okay, we got flying frog with shadow, a brimstone. Check it out.
Continue down aisle 900.
See how you can easily just get like sidetracked squirrel and just start looking at something else. Really cool. That's awesome.
There's the artist alley. So, we'll just kind of turn. Look at that. Just goes on forever. Look at all those yellow and black signs up there. Just going on and on and on forever. It's cool. All right, aisle 1000. You're looking for some shields, some weaponry, some cool outfits, some helmets,
some breast plates. This is where you get it.
Sick.
Yeah. Oh, yeah. Look at this aisle. Where did everyone go? We left. We went to the wrong con. This ain't Gen Con. Where are all the people? Oh, there they are.
Wow. Yeah, what an aisle. This is awesome. But it keeps going, but it just gets blocked by Asthot. Uh, okay. Let's go down this way. Yeah. So, here's more of Azy's booth from the other side. It's crazy huge. And even goes onto this side here. But I definitely want to see the Lord of the Rings stuff. Maybe we'll check out the right side of this aisle and then we'll come back up on the left side.
Clash of Clans. Clash of Clans. War game. Cyberpunk Legends.
Look at this on the live stream.
Hey,
it's wood.
CG.
Another chest X booth. They always have multiple chest. Yeah, we're not looking at the same booth. They actually have multiple of these booths. Lots of cool dice.
No way.
They doing here? That's cool.
Dragon dice. That's sick.
Look, Jackie.
Yeah. What we got here? Another ASME booth.
It's funny to see how you come up with these interesting, clever ideas to give.
Yeah. To be like eye-catching and to pull people in or just something different. You're like, "Oh, what's that?" You know?
Okay. Okay, we kind of looked at this on the live stream earlier, but let's do it without the stream stuttering. And look at this cool mat they use and game table.
Oh, and I also have a
I got a giant Yeah, they have a giant ring. Then they have a fullsize tower
fullsize dice tower from Fate of the Fellowship here. Just chilling. Mel's going to drop in the dice. Okay,
so hopefully there wasn't Naz Ghoul there cuz you would have lost two guys. And uh yeah, I just want to show this booth. It's kind of neat.
It's like lots of Lord of the Rings themed stuff. And yeah, we got the
the duel game over there. Okay, let's go back up this aisle. Aisle 1100. Got some Lego Ninjago board gaming stuff going on.
weird games.
Oh, it's all good.
Mattel, we got Uno Elite. Uno. Show him no mercy attack
being demoed here. Looks like
they have Uno Elite F1. Uno Elite NFL.
Oh no, K-pop Demon Hunters Uno sold out.
Okay, here's some more art, but it's not Artist Alley.
Hello.
So, Artist Alley's here on the left cuz you know what? It's Artist Alley by the different carpet, but then just they what they do is just outside of it kind of put some art adjacent things or art in general, which is kind of cool. Kind of group it all together. So like you know for your shopping convenience kind of keeping stuff together
and we have people who have just given up and are resting the floor of lost souls over there. Oh, we got trick-or- treat games. This where they are. Ah.
Oh yeah. The night he came. That's the purse I'm looking for. Oh, no way.
Sick. Robocop says stay out of trouble. Champ Grizzly there on the ground.
Release. Oh,
how much is that mask up there? I want to know.
I'm a little fuzzy in the head myself. Some more cool knickknacks. Oh, I think we lost Mel. Did we Where did she go?
I don't know. I think we lost her.
What?
Sorry.
How much was it? $59.99.
Oh, yeah.
20 to 100. So, I'm like a lower one.
Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. I want to get a Michael Myers mask, but
the US to Canadian conversion dollar is not great right now. So, paying 60 bucks US for a mask to wear once a year might not be the play cuz that's like $300 Canadian.
games. Oh, looks cool. Look at all the candles. Looks dark. Dark and mysterious. Okay, what do we got here? Another booth in the middle of the aisle. How am I supposed to get through this? Uh, let's go left. Yeah, I'm not even able to do all the aisles. This is crazy how like can't just walk up and down each one. Well, we play that board game on the channel.
Definitely did a playthrough of that one.
Mass Effect the board game.
I think a board game. Yeah, it says board game on it. I had an implication.
Yeah, this walkthrough is just give you a taste, I guess. So, some of the stuff here, it's hard. I'd love to go to every booth and do like a lap. I think my camera battery would last long enough, but not sure.
Oh, we got shipped to his booth. Sorry.
Were there earlier getting some games? Oh,
pretty Roth.
Everyone starts off with Oh,
another one. Block now. Who's this? Upper deck.
That looks cool.
Arkham Asylum.
Okay, let's go this way. Since they're playing a school
upper deck dragon. Oh, this is a pretty booth on my left here. Try to get a better view. We got some swords here. But right here, this looks sick. Rush of Ecore trading card game. Ah, that's cool. Huh. All right, we can cut through here, I guess.
Yeah, that's eye-catching. Dwarfven Forge
Steve Jackson games. I like everything, but now we're
Oh, more chip theory on the back. Yeah, we looked at this earlier.
That's cool.
Oh, Neon Night Games. I get it. Okay, so Neon Games is like a booth on the back of their booth. That's cool. completely different.
Everything else in the all the games.
So, so you have to have a base set though to get the 17. Played this a couple times in the past on the channel.
The essentials
fun time sometimes. My favorite books to visit. Wacky wizard games. I'm trying to cut a Sorry. All right.
Stuff stuff. Stuff. Oh, it's war machine. Okay. Oh yeah, Slugfest Games.
Played some of that stuff on the channel recently.
Excuse me.
Uh oh, there's some uh stuff going on in there. Chad and like
behind closed curtains.
Yeah.
Adam's Apple Gamesville.
Rammy gummies.
Anyway,
and one of my So,
we're in aisle 1400.
I don't know if we skipped some stuff, but like I said, a little little quicker walk through this time. Trying to show some cool stuff as best I can with the crowds. But if you're appreciating it, you know what to do. Click that like button. GameFound has a booth. Yo, where's my pledge? You got my pledge. I'm here to complain about my late pledge.
I spent 50 bucks.
Whoa.
Holy dice, Batman. [snorts]
Okay.
Is it one of the boots? Um, it should say it on there somewhere, which is it's free. Check out some booths on the back wall.
That's colorful, man.
All right, this is Dice Thrones booth here. Got some sam flam thrown the pogs.
Sorry.
This is a door. Doors open and close. Please do not congregate in front of this door. But what's behind the door?
What's in the door?
It's the door.
That's the door. I wonder how many times people got smashed by that door. Wonder if there's some like blood or teeth on that that door by, you know, being smashed.
Okay. Got some arcs back here. Old King's crown.
Boom.
Oh, I see all the campaigns that made tons of money. Oh, there's the Wild W origins. Sorry, Old Ones. Origins little demo. Oh, yeah. They're coming to crowdfunding eventually. Scan it now. Blood stone.
Boom. Channel 64. Asian rest of us all have yellow.
Oh, yelled art. I don't think you know.
Okay.
Oh, copyright music. Maybe
copyright music. Come again. Copyright music. You guys can't even hear that too well, but we'll see what happens. Maybe it's not
gooey cube.
Wow.
Oh, cool.
Oh, 1500. What up?
Walk through here, but it's not
when you acquire this, you get to draw
scented dice. Scented dice.
Interesting. I do like to smell my board game components when I open them.
Scented dice.
Campfire.
Oh, smoky campfire dice. Okay. Oh, what we got here? That's cool. I mean I said
cool stuff incelling some random wares card games and stuff. Got some t-shirts. [snorts] T-shirts. T-shirts polo team. Okay.
I don't have any stuff on the char. What are you buying? What are you selling?
You're like, dude, stop talking.
Let's walk around. heavy.
I mean, this place
crazy. So many people everywhere. Even as it's around dinner time, usually hall starts to clear out a bit, but still feels pretty packed. Saw tons of people heading towards the block party. Not this time. Leviathan is a great war gaming etc. True dungeon
renegade game studio demo area.
There's a game where like it's a bunch of patients coming in and
game head of cosplay outfits. Okay. Costumes, handmade clothing.
So much stuff everywhere.
Yeah, you see why it takes multiple days to uh check out the whole exhibit hall. If you do want to check out a lot of the booths, if you're interested in lots of games, want to just see cool stuff like and check out every booth. I don't believe you can do it all in one day. I highly doubt it. And
That's why
the still spirited strategy game. Whatever it stops on, that's your number. I rolled a two and it did not roll very well. Don't let that deter you.
So much cool stuff. So much stuff.
Sea turtle.
How does this really get you places? Restoration Games on the left here.
Yeah. Um, if we wanted to find White Wolf, but otherwise,
yeah, no one looks where they're going here ever. So many people just start walking backwards. It's crazy.
We need We need to start thinking about him.
There he is. Boom.
Princess Donut up there. have to go around.
We found the busiest intersection. It's like
these spots. All right, let's keep on rolling.
Lots of games for sale. Lots of games being demoed.
There's uh Who's your corridor exit hall games? It's actually I have no idea.
I don't know if we ever
I'm pretty close to this actually. Bring your own book.
Super trains. Nice.
Mini fizz. Mini fizz.
Oh, another aisle.
Another aisle. It's a dead end from a giant booth. What was this? Tabletop or Oh, tycoon games are called now. It's like their like 103 renaming for some reason. All sales benefit kids, toys for tots and more.
Interesting. Interesting.
We'll just go this way then.
Do it.
I got a photo booth going on here. What's this?
Friendier. That's cool.
No, I did not know this was a thing.
Yeah, friend.
Let's try to go this way. Got wristbound trading card game. Oh, that's quite the wall. Right. The wall
taking eight.
Oh, we made it to aisle 2000. So, aisle 20 out of I'm pretty sure 30, but find out when we get there. Stay tuned. Oh, we got a road block or stopped.
Must go around. Think I looked or I would have just kept walking and boom, I would have been on the floor.
Adventuria. Oh, look at all these Kaxes after Kax after Kax. Oh, boys. Wall-to-wall books and games and stuff.
Okay, we did not go here. This place has some sick like eldrich themed dice. And then over here they have like some kind of 8bit retro
themed dice
which tickles my nostalgia bone.
Looks kind of cool here. We'll go back to this aisle. So we've stepped back an aisle. See definitely didn't go back here I don't think. But it's because there's like just Yeah, it's hard. you just get lost and like turned around because you walk down one aisle and there's a booth in the way and you go to go around it. But unfortunately, you just miss aisles and that doesn't help those booth vendors that are in those aisles cuz they just get forgotten sometimes which sucks. But we got to keep moving because again the hall is closing in 30 minutes. 32 minutes. We got 32 minutes. Been going for an hour already. And we're like 2/3 of the way through, I think.
Okay. So, we did 2,000, right? So, we're going to go this way. Let's go down aisle 2100. Just looking out of every other booth. Have to skip some, obviously, as you can tell. And like
so if I stop a whole crowd of people behind me sometimes will just uh bang into me. So I try to keep moving unless no one's around me.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Meline buffer just gets uh
run over. install
the final Whoa. Is that DVDs?
Is that DVDs?
Oh,
what?
Whoa. That's cool. I heard about those things. I heard that's how people used to watch media. That's facts.
Check out our playrough on the
channel. All play booth.
Oh yeah.
Key master parks Europe. Like what if we had the best
ABA?
Great place for family and children's games.
Oh yeah, we might be in like the uh Common Coast.
Yeah, the family fun pavilion area where it's like more family targeted uh publishers. Oh, horrified Dungeon and Dragons Raven Loft. Look at that. Oh, let's go over here. I like me some Horrified. Nice fun family week game. I like it when it has a good theme on it.
No, that's where it is over there.
Oh, let's go check it out.
I didn't play the other D and D one yet, so I don't know.
Anyone else want to know what villain is?
No.
You're like,
I'm scared. Okay,
keep walking.
It is how easy it is.
I know. I almost I almost just got pulled in the middle of a demo and learning a game right in the middle of a YouTube walkth through here. It's what can happen to you. You can all of a sudden just boom have fun. It's crazy. like I'm trying to avoid fun and it just sometimes gets you and then boom then you're buying games out of nowhere and you're caught. Too many games, not enough time. Too many games, not enough shopping bags.
Too many games, not enough trunk space. It's a cool way to do it.
Have your games under like one of those food lids, you know, so nobody sneezes on or anything.
Last night games. That's cool. Black play
special. Buy three games, save $10. Oh,
my strategy is just running.
Holy hanami.
Walking slowly.
That
was a cool looking booth.
Fireside games.
Got to wait for the crosswalk. Watch for crossing children. Don't step on them, Rob. Keep walking. We're good. Slowly.
Yeah. Yeah. Traffic lights at the intersections. It's 100% what they need.
Oh, yeah. Railway crossing. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Little little guard rails go down to let you cross the aisle. That would make sense. Especially in the first couple hours the hall opens. It gets pretty insane at some of the intersections. Like they just don't even move.
It's been pretty bad. I'm sorry.
Okay, let's go this way.
Another dice vendor. Busy
or lots of people working at least.
Okay, we're going to go
on this aisle. 2300. Game theory tables.
We'll
keep you updated. I have a connection coming out of 18 spots. X.
Oh yeah, I'm saying. I don't know game boards and cards. Just now
hat games. Is this over here?
Hack two players.
Okay, try across here. Cubicle 7 in a second. Yeah.
Thanks. There is a more advanced mode where
I knew it.
Layers was popular or they just had very limited copies. But it does look cool.
Yeah. Yeah. Everyone gets the top. Yep.
I guess we're not taking that one home. Oopsie.
More t-shirts. More games.
Okay, we are now going to 2400, but the aisles get longer because now it curls around down to the gaming hall. And at six o'clock they will close the walls there to separate the two halls. But uh we can walk down here and check out uh Direwolf Digital's booth and then start checking this aisle out.
Technically we can wrap around this kind of little back area here.
Yes. Got some Invincible. Okay, a little sneaky back here. Got the digital games to try. And then there's the gaming hall where there are other booths and vendors out there that are I don't know if they close also at 6:00, but they're out there. That hall is open till like 2:00 a.m. And there is game sales happening out there in game demos and stuff. So, it's like kind of like the gaming or the exhibit hall kind of spills out there a little bit. Got Ultra Pro.
Tire Wolf.
Warhammer. A big booth.
Oh, that's pretty good. That's still pretty good. That's so close.
Wow. Looks sick.
All right, spin around. Another Chessex booth. I think this is booth number three of Chesik's booth that we've seen. I could be wrong.
Buying and selling Magic cards. Star City Games, I assume.
That's what I think it is, is it? games. David Adams from Pennsylvania. I'm pretty sure I remember correctly. I know I played some card games down there before.
Hatchet or Hashe or however you say it. So smart [snorts] riders
too much time.
Hello.
Okay,
guys. Trying to make a sale. I will not fall for it.
Oh, no. I don't know about that. Who knows the funds involved?
Mystery boxes.
Mystery boxes.
That's scary.
They got amazing games at amazing prices.
Okay. I don't know if I believe it. like board game booster packs.
You don't get a legendary hit in every box. We know this
dark play that before.
Mediocre LLC. I think we are at um Uhoh. She going to jump. Uh we are at I believe the uh I forget what it's called like independent. It's like all the independent publishers like their first first time at the con. Uh they get like a little booth at the back here and eventually could work their way
candles.
Yeah. So, sometimes you have like craft vendors back here, accessory vendors,
first time publishers. It's usually like their first time at Gen Con.
They kind of group them all together. So, as you can find some uh hidden gems back here. I want to like highlight all of them because I think it's cool. A lot of these guys are first time here and if they do well or they want to come back, they may be back. If not, they may not be, but they could be back at like a bigger booth somewhere else in the hall.
You all need some uh underwear. Drop the commander.
Oh, Lord of the Rings role playing game.
Oh, no.
No. I'm trying to not play RPGs, but it might pull me in. 10 Penny Parks.
Thunderworks games.
Oh, what's this? Almonds. Let's go.
Scorpion mans already kind of looked at their booth. I feel I've seen that already. [sighs and snorts] Oh, what is this? Yeah, not a lot going on here. This girl is sad. She sold out or somebody didn't show up maybe. Sometimes publishers back out of the show and there's like just an empty. Thank you so much for shopping here at Jackam.
So if you don't want to be crushed to death, you better make it to the stairs. pretty quick. Now get out there and kill kill.
That was obviously Jeff Hayes doing the uh hall closing announcements. That's sick. Everyone's cheering. That's sick.
Yeah, we're listening to Dungeon Crawler Carl audio book on the drive down and it's introducing Mel to that. So, we're listening to that. Yeah, we're going to listen to more of it on the way home. We knew that was kind of a big draw to Gen Con for a lot of people and we're like checking it out. coming out with an RPG later and like a Unstoppable. I'm hyped for the Unstoppable games. So, I do love Unstoppable.
So, having a dungeon crawler car unstoppable, I'm now really hyped for that.
That's cool. That's cool. So, we got like 15 minutes till the level collapses or the hall closes, whatever you want to say.
So, we have to hurry. and let's see if we can do it. There's the gaming hall again in the booth.
See what aisle we're about to approach here. Sorry guys, I'm trying to keep the camera like steady and straight and all that, but I have to like dodge people. There's loads of people walking under my camera and stuff. I got to lift it and wobble it and they bang into me. Hopefully it wasn't too uh you know seasick inducing motion sickness. Daunted Revolution,
Osprey Games,
shirts.
Those like Bies clone shirts there. Little Scissors. Crispy Krabby Donuts. That's cool. Excuse me. Collector's Cash. I am selling some cards. CCG stuff. We got here Northstar Game Studio.
Okay, we're in 2700 and I do see 3,000 is the last aisle. Oh, Van Rider Games. We know that. We know that publisher. Holy crap. Yeah, this is why I slowed down on buying Final Girl and playing it on the channel. It's just like
never ends, man. There's so much stuff.
It's like scary,
but still awesome.
Uh we are kidding.
Oh, that's a cool looking booth.
That's creepy. That is creepy. That's cool. Cool looking booth. Not very busy though. I think it's probably just their demo area. So, their demos are done for the day. Of course, this is all closing scene.
That's cool. These little creepy windows and lights outside.
Oh, premium stuff. It's buying glass. Oh god.
No, it's No, but when I played uh when I first my favorite tomorrow, next kill. So, we're going to get an announcement every five minutes, it sounds like, before the hall closes, telling us to get our stuff and get out before the floor collapses. I hope you guys could hear that.
I'm not sure if you can with the noise cancelling on the microphone.
Sitting there doing it and that's what I love about social.
Yeah, that's awesome. Oh, that's cool.
We got to walk quicker. It's 10 minutes. 10 minutes till closing
and they will shut off the lights. So, it will get a little dark. some washrooms in the back of the hall.
100.
Hello. And then
I'm just trying to bring it back.
Okay, we're going to try to pick up the pace a little bit. Let's compile. Got a few of those earlier.
Ultimate guard.
No, thank you guys. It might be like 15.
Hockey duck games.
I'm sure everyone's excited to who's working in a booth right now to almost be off. So, my feet are killing me. I'm sure there's a pretty uh scream pretty screaming right now, too. Lots of walking on hard cement floors with a very thin carpet.
You ready? 900 there's 100
uh I mean games
some wingspan at uh
meeplesaur stomire.
They have a clip from behind the scenes.
Take my money.
Walk around here.
I'm still doing it. Don't you know this is going to kill you in 5 minutes? If you don't give up this law, you all be crushed. They will be very wrongly. Come back tomorrow. You absolutely must have us. Get down now. Yeah. [screaming]
So, for anyone who's not a Dungeon Crawler, Carl fan is probably so confused right now. You just come down to buy some board games at your local board game convention. You live in Indianapolis and you're like, "Uh, what the hell was that?
Why are you yelling at me?"
Yeah. Like why is he talking about a floor collapsing? Like what does that mean? Or level collapsing I should say. Okay. 2900. We have one more aisle after this.
Look at it.
Five minutes. We have five minutes and I'll shut off the lights. I like this uh CGI.
Slay the Spire. I love that game here.
Get a pull.
a tiny mini like tape like
counteract to make it less bad.
All right, one aisle left and we started in a different corner than we started in last year. So, we're going to end in a different corner last year because I remember we ended over here. So, we're going to end in the opposite area by the gaming hall, which is cool cuz we can exit that way when they boot us out. But, I didn't know there was enough space back here for tables. So that tells me there's uh less vendor booths this year, but the same foot space probably. So they don't normally have this area back here. So they obviously had some people back out or not as many vendors wanted to come back this year.
Yeah, it's quite quite a large space with like that could be like 20 more booths jammed in there. That's interesting. Sorcery the card game.
No, the sorcery contest the realm. I don't know if that's the same thing. Raker games spell. That looks cool. What is new for this year? I don't believe I received an email that actually gave me any updates like I've gotten in pre
these guys will get to witness the hall closing not on the final day. finally sad, but uh you witness all closing on the day one, Thursday of Gen Con 2026. If you made it to the end here,
thank you so much. I appreciate it. Drop a like, subscribe if you want more. We'll be doing some more videos from Gen Con, doing some more booth tours hopefully. And we'll of course be playing some games live on the channel as we mainly do. So check out the playlist section for tons of legacy games, campaign games, light games, heavy games, medium games we play on the channel. Come and hang out on live stream. Have a good time while your KDM.
Thank you. Thank you. You too.
Foreller. Academy games.
And I guess we'll finish off. Excuse me. This is the entertainment business. Okay. Hello everyone. Thank you so much for visiting all those lovely games. I'm sorry. I only come back to my room to pick up more goodies, play more wonderful games and pay homage to you.
So there it is. That's the hall closing. The lights dimmed down. You got to leave and get out. They're closing the wall here. So, we're actually going to get trapped here and we'll have to find a different exit.
Oh, okay. Oh, yeah. It's telling us where to go. So, anyways, that's going to be it from us. Thank you so much for tuning in. Thanks for watching our walkthrough of Gen Con 2026 exhibit hall. Like I said, stay tuned for more. Thanks for watching and we'll see you in the next one. Bye-bye. Rex.
