9:56 okay question marks everywhere here in cactus town um so cactus town is an asymmetrical uh programming game everyone has a different objective and a lot of it involves hunting around through cactus town this western town here and doing western types of things the basic game has four characters with unique objectives and then the expansions bring in three more so i think there's there's seven total characters uh in the game and they all interact in various different ways have their own actions and so forth um but we are only two people so we can only play with uh the two characters we've got here and in the base game that means it's the sheriff and the deputies versus the outlaws and so we'll talk we'll talk a bit as the game goes on about some of the uh other some of the other things going on some of the other characters and types of play but we'll just focus on these for how it's going to play here so the sheriff and the deputies there's three uh standees here in the middle they are trying to arrest the outlaws uh by moving to them and then knocking them out in a duel and arresting them and mate well obviously we don't use the standee we just use the cardboard tokens

11:28 so you can see from overhead the outlaws need to find the buildings to loot so i've got four cards here these are the blue cards and they match four of the red cards not including the ones that are visible at the start of the game and i need to find at least well at least two ultimately but each of the outlaws can find one building that matches this plunder it which will be one of these tokens and then escape to the wilderness which is outside the board so i need to go flip as many of these as i can to find where i'm going to steal take the plunder and then run away and it's essentially in a two-player game it's essentially a best out of three so if i can run away with two loot i win if stella can arrest two of my outlaws sullivans now there's also so that that's the basics of the game um as we say it's a programming game there are actions the main actions are to run which lets you move orthogonally and flip the building sneak which lets you move orthogonally and not flip the building and you can also sneak away from someone if you're on the same card and dual which is largely resolved with a roll of the die

12:59 but there is a couple of other ways that you can build on that which we'll see the game has a variety of modules as well which we've thrown in and we're using the advanced buildings here so the basic buildings which are blue they have no special effects the advanced buildings will let us have bonus movements maybe get these bonus tokens as well and some of these tokens will help us in a duel so for this one for example when someone ends the move on the casino they'll get to take a reload token which allows for one re-roll in a duel and these tokens will be kept behind the screen they're all single use they'll be out of the game forever once they're used and the way these will work because we haven't actually uh used these ones before we're just throwing it in for this why not because why not um the way these will be used is at the start of a duel we can we do a secret secret reveal of up to one of each dual type of token this is town actually explaining me how it works and i'll explain it again when we get to the jewel yeah it'll be followed by the role and followed by uh possible extra cards i'm halfway distracted by the chat but i'll listen i heard that we'll make it so we'll make it understood yes so there's a piece pipe that can let you avoid a duel there's a re-roll and there's a plus one to the dual it's also the trap which lets you cancel someone else's movement a single standee's movement okay all
