0:33 Hello everybody and welcome back to what's happening. My name is Z Garcia. Today we are going to be checking out some Dungeon Clawler. That's right, Clawler cuz you're going to be using a little claw like those claw machines to grab stuff and use it against the baddies in the dungeon. That's the main gimmick here. It is a game I have featured in the past though I think when I played it last time it was still technically a beta I want to say and now it's out. I'm even playing it on an iPad right now so it's even available on the iPad. Okay, you can see me, you can hear me. That is fantastic folks. So, that is the deal today. Let's go ahead and jump into a little Dungeon Clawler. If you join me as we go, that's that's all right. I will say hi to folks every now and then I suppose in case I got a couple of late stragglers.

Reset tutorial. Oh man, come on. I hate that. I just started and it gave me a little video, but now I won't do the little video again. Give me the little video again. Come on, do it. Stupid. Fine.

2:20 Wow, they really like If you skip it the first time, they just throw you right back in. All right, here we go. Floor one out of 20. Swipe to move your character. Swipe to move the claw. You can also tap and drag the claw to the desired position. Okay. Oh, that's very sensitive.

3:05 Okay, it's better if you just touch on the claw and actually drag it where you want it to be. Oh. Oh. Okay, tap the backpack button to get more information about your inventory. Backpack is over here. Okay. All the items and perks listed. Perks give you passive effects. Items can be grabbed out of the claw machine. Yes. So, we've got then the shield, block, five, the dagger, nearest enemy for five damage, the sword, nearest enemy for 10 damage. And if I pick it up on its own, deals double damage. That's interesting. And then the big shield, 10 block, double block if picked alone. Got it.

3:53 And then here I can change my perks. My health is increased by 10 start each turn with five block. Cool. Uh tap the claw machine button to get its overview. Okay. Here's everything that's in there. These little fluffies are nothing. Yeah. And then it highlights where they are, too, which is neat. Huh. Okay. Tap the dungeon button to get its overview. The character, the status, the baddies. Sure.

5:44 Boom, I did that. Hello everybody. If you're just joining me, welcome welcome to Dungeon Clawler. A rogue-like game. Kind of like a Slay the Spire type game, but clearly with a claw machine in it. All right, I have one I got one of these things. I can do the magnet. I love that one. The water bottle it uh Oh, I guess they're telling me to pick it. Okay. Show details. It's upgradeable. Got it. I will Sure, I'll take the magnet.

6:30 Here we go. Well, I got to I got to not do that. I got to just touch the claw at the top. It's way easier that way.

6:54 Nice. Oh, yes. Fantastic. Okay, my options are a candle applies four fire to the nearest enemy and again I can show the details and it tells me what fire does. It's like ongoing damage, fine. The dark sword 25 to the nearest lose two health for each item that gets picked up in the same turn. Ooh, that's scary. And then the syringe. Attack the nearest enemy for five increase its damage by five each time it's used. And it resets after each fight. I I like that. That's messed up.

8:04 Ooh, interesting. Vampire fangs, you regenerate one health when you deal damage or gain one strength every time you take damage. I I love vampiric stuff in every game. I'm sorry. I'm going with the vampire fangs. That's my It's the one given in any RPG game I play. If there's a thing that when I deal damage I heal or it just regenerates damage passively, like heals you passively, I'm taking that thing. I don't care what else you're offering me. I'm going with that. It's my favorite thing in Diablo type games and any kind of RPG. Here we go. Floor two, baby.

9:12 Here you can get tokens which increase the appearing chance of items of the same type. Select the token you want to get. Damage token. Seems good. What's this one? Companion. I'll take damage.

11:13 That's amazing. Every game is made better with a claw machine. You know what? It's hard to disagree with that. Let's see my rewards. Noxious Cape. At the end of your turn, gain 10 block for every poisoned enemy. Okay. Junk Jet. Deal one damage to a random enemy every time or each time an an item is added to the machine after the first turn. And then deflation, four random items shrink in size at the end of your turn. So that I can more easily grab more of them. I think I'll do the Junk Jet.

14:12 This item has a two-turn cool down, fine. Water, normal water, makes items float or sink based on their material, fine. Hot chocolate turns the fluff into marshmallow fluff, and marshmallow fluff heals you for three health when it's collected. What? Okay.

14:39 Mike Keller is Ooh, that hot chocolate one is new. Yeah, I guess it's new, man. I haven't heard of this. It's been a long time since I played, like I said, and when I played last time it wasn't even finished technically, so You can close Sorry, you can close the claw early if you hit space. I'm playing on an iPad, so I don't know how I do that, to be fair. Um It turns the tank into a giant fluffernutter sandwich. Okay, toy piranha attacks nearby enemies for five, swims around when submerged, and eats fluff. These are getting crazy.

15:37 I guess the piranha. I don't have water in the tank, so turning the water into hot chocolate is not going to help me yet, right? I could re-roll and none of these are that good right now. Yeah, I think I'll re-roll. There we go. Small sword, I know what that does. The icicle attacks the nearest enemy and deals one damage for each frost stack on that enemy. And then the syringe, I love the syringe. I'm taking another syringe. Go on.

16:31 I mean, vampire fangs, do they stack? I guess they stack. I'll take it. What is this little fellow doing? I have 75 health. This little guy is going to heal itself and this little guy is going to add things to the machine. I'm guessing crap.

22:36 Boom, you're done. All right, permafrost. At the start of each fight, apply five frost to all enemies. Does frost do anything on its own? Decreases the attack damage by one. Okay. Okay. Dirty money. Whenever an enemy dies with 10 or more stacks of poison, Wow. And then lucky devil increases the chance to trigger the lucky ability on items by 10%. Okay, I kind of like that. Or I could reroll. Lucky devil's not bad. It's a passive thing. I don't have to think about it.

23:27 Here we go. I got a pearl. No effect. What's the point? If I upgrade it, it might do something. Okay. Sure. I'll take it.

24:04 Okay, here you can upgrade your items to improve or change their effects. Sweet. Um, hmm. Doubles the count of all buffs you currently have. That seems good. And then the magnet, of course, is insane. I'm definitely doing that. But I think the pearl seems neat. The health. Sure. [sighs]

That's going to be huge. And then treasure chest. Nearest enemy for 13. Opens up when submerged. And adds three random items. Amazing. Amazing. Taking them both. I just unlocked Garbage Greg, you guys.

And the damage is multiplied by your strength. I I what my strength is right now. And then a marble. Texan nurse attacks me for one damage, and it's increased by two for each marble you have in the machine. I don't have any marbles. Lucky shield, maybe?

29:25 All right, the sickle. Beautiful. Credit card attacks the first enemy for one, spends five coins, and permanently increases its damage by two. And it keeps doing that. Okay, I love that. That's what credit cards do, I guess.

30:23 I'll take all of it. Getting that wetstone to turn everything into metal, and then upgrading it to the golden magnet, you can turn everything into metal in the entire tub. I I guess so. Yeah.

It is It gives you a semblance of control, but it's more It really has that feel of the one-armed bandit. Pull on it and see what what you get and what happens. It seems to take uh mad joy in that. It's very very fun. It's a cute little game. Um It is available now on the iPad. Like I said, I'm playing actually on uh Apple Arcade. So But it's been It's on Steam, too.
