Hey everyone, welcome back to Board Games Unlocked. And Devin and I are continuing Kingdoms Warlord with a new person. and Kyle, thank you so much for uh for being here, jumping into uh one of the heaviest games that we could have uh introduced a new player. But um I say this is as good a time as any to have someone someone new join us. Um so yeah, we are in the middle of our very first delve. Devon and I did uh finish our first exhibition clash and
the blood worms.
Pale blood worms.
The pale blood worms. Yeah. Um from Bloodborne. Uh they're Yeah. We uh successfully defeated them. And now we as the fly [ __ ] had to make a decision on whether or not I was uh abandoning my caravan uh to go hunting for the egg knight, which of course is what we're doing. So yeah. And then we also realized that the at Stoneface has been with us this whole time.
So quiet.
Yeah, he's so quiet. God. But damn. if if he just I'm
good at listening.
Yeah. If he just didn't know exactly what we needed to hear in any given point. Um so yeah, Kyle decided to play Stoneface, which he is a character from the um Succulent Fears. Is that what it was called?
Is it a thousand Succulent Fears?
A thousand Succulent Fears expansion. Um so let's uh let's learn a little bit about Stoneface, shall we? Kyle, in your best overly animated um voice, I need you to read that prologue.
Well, I don't think it's it's not in the voice of it's more like a narrator.
That's Yeah, that's true. Yes. Stoneface doesn't talk.
It's it's the narrator from Hunter Hunter.
All right, here's the prologue. Heavy footsteps echo as the young man runs through the empty streets. Breath seizes in his chest as his lungs constrict. He turns a corner and stops. A crowd stands before him, stuck still. Moss creeps across graven features and motionless lips stray w stretch wide in twisted echoes of pain and fear. The statues are looking at him now. Did they move? He blinks and they're closer surrounding him. Rough carved figures grasp at his arms, his legs, and his face. Stoneface awakes, gasping for air through his inflexible stone throat.
His heart still pounds in his chest, but he no longer feels the tightness of muscles, or the rush of blood in his veins. He looks down to see the gray of his flesh, the solid carropus that has encased him for how long now? He rises from the low cut, pausing to look into the polished surface of his armor. Looking back at him, an emotionless, stern expression, granite features and unblinking eyes, the face of the stone man. Shaking off the memories of the nightmare, Stoneface emerges from the squat cottage. The rest of the village is already up and about, but it takes a few moments for him to realize what is wrong. Nobody is moving. Stoneface steps over to one figure, the farmer whose house he'd found shelter in. He reaches out, squeezing the shoulder, but there is no yielding flesh there, only hardened stone. He checks all the others, all stone, frozen in an eternal moment of fear as they felt the curse take them.
Stoneface. The stone man lifts his gaze and spots Fron, one of his few friends in the world. The young freckle-faced man stares at the statues around him with a mixture of fascination and horror. Stoneface, what have you done? Guilt stabs the stone knight in his heart. His cursed flesh, his very nature doomed this village that granted him shelter. His friend rushes over, brows creased in worry. You've got to get out of here, big guy. He hisses. Come on, before somebody comes snooping around. The pair run. A dozen thoughts rushing through the towering stone man's head. Foremost among them being, "How can they keep running like this? If his curse keeps trouble keeps trouble nipping at their heels." Slowly, reluctantly, his gaze rises to the implacable barrier of the deep fog. There are few people who would follow him there.
And thus begins the tale of Stoneface. Okay. So, he Well, he got everyone rock hard and they're bitching at him. What are you talking about?
Like, what have you done? Um, I wonder if he's from this kingdom cuz So, the backstory of the Principality of Stone is it was a kingdom that was renowned for its armor. Um, and some meteorite uh crashed near it that kind of
was it a meteor?
I think so. Okay.
That kind of plagued the land and started turning people to stone.
Um, so I wonder if
I don't know. We'll find out uh whenever we start doing your quest.
It's his whole body that's stone. I guess what's the point of the armor?
Yeah, he probably doesn't need it.
Uh well, what's weird is his nipples are still they're still normal.
Just the nipples.
Yeah, just the nipples. Uh yeah, it's a weird thing about the curse.
Why isn't he cursing his his friend?
I guess we'll find out. Yeah, we'll find that out. But we are continuing the Fly Shritters uh quest. Um, now unfortunately as we as obviously it's a different day. Um, we I packed everything up in between the clash and apparently that's not really what you're supposed to do. Um, so for the setup of uh of the Fly Shredders objective, so our objective is to hunt down the Apex Egg Knight. Uh, you need to find the trail of the Apex egg knight and hunt it down. Track your progress with hunt tally marks. So, I'm supposed to collect a marshall clues. Uh, it was supposed to one was supposed to be placed on a random already explored small tile. Well, I packed everything up, so there isn't one. Then, randomly draw four unrevealed small tiles and one unrevealed extra-l large tile. And without looking at them, place an X on each of them. Um, a Marshall token. So, what I did to kind of fix that is I put one on 17, um, which is where we're going to go anyway, and then I randomly drew three more. So, there's the there's the extra, um, extra ones.
And then, uh, so we have one on number three, which is the extra large ones, and then we have one on one, 19, and 11. Unfortunately, I don't know if those were even already explored or not. So, that's kind of annoying about the uh the format of the game, but if I collect three Marshall um clues, either by finding the egg knight's tracks or any other way, I make one hunt tally mark. If I manage to collect six, I make a second hunt tally mark. When we are about to trigger an encounter from the time track, we resolve it against the apex egg knight instead of a regular encounter. Um, and there's an uh Apex Eggg Knight on the thing. And so if we have to do one of the encounters on the board, um, then we kind of have a scrap against it.
encounters. I don't know if you got into it in the rule book, are a one round kind of skirmish fight. Uh where depending on what um district we're at in the kingdom, we would fight kind of a a card on um uh against a mob type enemy. Uh so in this case, it would be against an Apex Egg Knight. Then um yeah, once we are at the story step and our time is at 16, if we have three plus hunt tallies, we see 15. Otherwise, we'll see 14. So, so yeah, we just basically move around trying to get me Marshall clues, hunt down this egg knight, and then we'll read a section once we get to the full clash.
Okay. Um, also to kind of rectif uh um to add Kyle into the scenario, we're to say he's free roaming, make it a little bit easier. Uh, Devon's still investigating. Uh, do you want to give a brief summary to Kyle on what your investigation is?
I'm looking for a sword.
Oh, yeah. That's right. That's what you picked. Um, and Sir Sanche's backstory.
Like my whole backtory or
the prologue?
I mean, my prologue essentially it's just
the cliffotes version. I mean, it was his last words.
Yeah.
So, essentially, he was uh reminiscing about his life.
And how lame it was.
Yeah. Just, you know, how little post he got.
Um No, just how uh amazing. Um
a lot of weird stuff with that.
Um you want to read it again or
Yeah. I mean, cliff notes version.
Yeah. I mean, let's see here. It's It's essentially he's reminiscing over his life because he's trying to be like a very storyried knight.
Sure. Um, and I have a monkey companion.
Y,
little sir.
That's cool.
Yeah, I can give him to people and uh buff them,
put him on the monsters to debuff them.
He's very handy.
Yep. Um, and as the flesh ritter, I'm basically from a clan of monster hunters. And I use uh flush tokens to uh basically help me heal, to let us fortify, um to I can use if they're in the night pool, I can actually use it instead of heat. So that's what I do.
And then there's our squire.
Yep. There is Rayoff, the eager squire. A little bit too eager if you ask me. Um he has his donkey. Oh no. Uh yes. And yeah, he basically is like a simplified version of a knife. He uses this metal deck to uh indicate how many hits he gets. So, so yeah. Um, okay. Well, we can go ahead and get started. What uh direction do we want to go?
Well, we got the fresh threat. Let's go to that big one.
Do we not want to get the the the person?
Oh, yeah. We do need to get the person. Let's get the person. missing uh missing person at 17. I mean, we could go and then backtrack and then head to 17 if we if we wanted.
I mean, because then that's the subtract that reduces the threat. So, that's kind of my thinking.
Yeah, we're doing the search and rescue. Um if you would move on to the tile placed on the kingdom sheet during this expedition, you found your stray and we get to scavenge one.
Sweet.
So, uh the gimmick for the principality of stone are these panzer gates. Uh they basically need keys to be able to pass them. Um and we actually have three keys to get past this section if we wanted to head to that large one. Is that what we want to do?
Uh that's it. Just seems to me I think that logically that's the best one.
All right, we will spend all of our keys to go here.
Boss fight. So, you'll probably immediately. So, one, two, three. Uh, but that does get me
a token and three clues. So, clues. Who needs yellow?
Nobody.
He needs that yellow, don't he?
Oh, he does need yellows. Yeah.
Don't.
You as well.
Well, I don't need them. They're there. Uh, so everyone will gain a yellow. And then we're actually gaining three. So we will draw one, which is going to be down. Who needs blue?
Nobody.
Nobody needs blue. And then another yellow.
[ __ ] Hate this game.
This game sucks. Uh, who needed another? Oh, so you can just flip. There's a two on the other side. Okay.
Oh, the Panzerberg. Hell yeah. Panzer Burger. Okay. So, what do we need? So, that's a delve icon. That means we could go we can go into or not delve icon, deep fog. Yeah,
we can go into the deep fog from south or west. Uh, then we can go up to 10. This could be this one. Um, okay. Pantherberg. So that is it's two and then we draw from the top of the exploration deck. Two plus four that's a six.
So that would be suspiciously empty plaza party leader tests inside seven plus success encounter fail ambush.
Cool. All right.
Maybe I can [ __ ] with this one. That's right. It's a delside cards. Uh resolving point of interest. Subtract one from the POI modifier to a minimum of zero. So yes, I could use my night prowess.
That would make us go to a five.
Yes. What is five?
Uh distribute four gold between all nights.
Yeah, that sounds better.
Okay.
Um so yes, I will spend one heat. Um so yeah, subtract one for its modifier. It goes into delay.
No, it goes to cool down. Wait. Yeah, cool down.
Okay, sweet. So, yeah. Uh, we get to do splintered cart. Distribute four gold between all knights. All right. I don't have a pencil. Um,
I'll take two cuz uh my ability allowed it to happen.
I sure that sounds the most fair to me.
Finally. Gold.
Money. This is our first money.
It is. Yeah. Just right in your gold section. Sweet. One. K. You good? He's like, I I don't know what's happening. Yeah, you can just write one gold in your gold section. Gave Devon two. Um, okay. But I can actually write down um I will put hunt tally mark.
So when we encounter a new tile um it'll have a point of interest value. Um, this means it's a random point of interest because it's not assigned. It'll sometimes it'll assign it.
Yeah. Um,
if it has a Yeah. If it has a name on it, then we'll read exactly what it says on the kingdom sheet. Otherwise, if it's a number, we just draw from the top of the deck and there's a modifier uh that will uh basically say what random one it is. Um, how do I get how do we get three tally marks? Unless it's a typo
for your hunt.
Yeah, because the only time it says it says if you if you collect three Marshall, make one hunt tally mark. If you manage to collect six, make a second hunt tally mark. And then during the time it says 16. If you have three plus hunt tallies. Oh. Oh, I no. Yeah, I don't think I can. I don't think I can have three. Wonder if it's There's an Arata. Um cuz there's definitely no way to get nine. Um let's see. Kingdoms forlord FAQ probably got to be on there. There were resources.
Yeah. FAQ or All right. Learn to play. Learn to play. Learn to play. Fleshwitter. The tail of
um n there is nothing in the arata about
what you trying to clarify. So, I'm trying to collect uh every time I collect or whenever I collect three marshall clues,
you get a tally.
I get a hunt tally.
Says if you manage to collect six, make a second hunt tally. But then whenever we're on 16, it says if you have three plus hunt tallies, read this section. Otherwise, read this section. So, it's like
it's pretty hard.
It's like But there's nothing that says how I get a third one. So, is it like is it a typo? Oh gosh. So it just specifically says if you have six, you have two.
Yes.
And that's it.
And then nothing else prompts you for a story section
that would pro possibly give you one. And what was making them spawn here?
Um that was me rectifying.
And so there's several over here. Oh yeah. Yeah. You want six. That's how we get them. Yes. Also from randoms.
Um yeah,
but it didn't specify.
Yeah. Unless my decision to
Yeah, didn't it say to add one? It said to add one. You already have one. We already have a hunt.
Fly withers are trained to drive prey out by hiding. Yeah. Try to scare the egg's prey out of hiding. Make a hunt tally mark.
Yes.
Yep. You're right. You're right, Daddy. I already have one. Sweet. Okay, good deal. All right. So, yeah, I just need to hopefully collect uh we just need to find those those sections. Um and uh yes. So, that was Oh, and then we have our exploration. Panzergeist possession. Place this card in the active effects area. Then place a generic token on a random direction on this card. If you don't travel in a direction with a token on it, each knight gains one heat, ignoring heat limit.
End of delve round. Place another generic token on the next empty direction symbol going clockwise. If there are four tokens on this card, discard it. Okay, so we're generic, which is going to be to the uh right. So that's going to go here.
So if we don't travel, actually we do. We kind of want to backtrack. So we can go find our missing person.
Let's do that.
Okay, so backtracking. luckily just gives us a time.
Okay.
Um and then if you don't travel in a direction with a token on it, end of delve round, uh place another generic token on the next empty space. So that just goes down here. Um, yeah. I mean, that's pretty much it cuz you don't resolve anything that's on an already explored card except another exploration to card. Rust cometh. Remove X single Panzer Gate tokens from any one district where X is your curse level, which is zero. Then each knight loses X vigor. Oh, it's vigor, not vitality. Oh,
if this effect didn't trigger, gain one curse. Well,
oh no.
All right, now we can just keep going.
Sally fourth.
Sweet. Kyle, how you doing?
Good.
All right, cool. Is that good?
Let's go.
So, we'll go there, which will be a time we lose a threat. Um, this will be another token. rang out of tokens. So, I'm going to gain that and then flip um
something with the world.
Oh, yeah. So, we are there and we found our missing person.
Side quest complete.
Yay. So, we as a reward, we get to do a scavenge.
I told you she was over here, guys.
Yeah, this whole time. Um, what do we want to put in the loot deck? We can have
what's in there. Right now,
we have a kingdom gear, a kingdom gear, consumable, consumable, exhibition clash, and an upgrade.
We can do a full clash.
Do we have access to those now?
I mean, as far as I'm aware, you get to pull them just from the loot deck. Um, let's do
because again, we still have no idea how the gear works,
right? I mean, because it just gives us the cash value for the most part. Um,
upgrade.
You want to do upgrade?
Sure.
Upgrades, people. Upgrades.
You know, that movie is actually not bad. Robots. this thick ass Ant Fanny. I've been drawing rule 34 robots robot stuff since that movie came out. Um, all right. So, we have 13 and four. 13 and four, which is this large one. Yeah, I think 11 was we had to backtrack for that one.
Yeah, that's the unfortunate part about that is I don't know. I
think we came from this direction.
Yeah, I don't know if those cards should even be available cuz technically the board should still be spread out.
Um, but now we know that I should have just taken a picture of the of the board. I didn't expect it to actually be a be a problem.
You could watch your last video. Uh, I could, you know, that's actually I I do have it uh edited. Um, but that's okay. You know, actually Rolloff, he's so eager. He's going to give me his Marshall tokens.
Here you go, son. Um,
and he can give me the great tokens.
No,
no, we don't do that.
No, look, we know you die later on. What's even the point of keeping you around?
Hey, we're telling my story.
Um, okay. So, yeah. 64. If uh let's see Kyle, what is your what was your exploration cipher?
54.
So 6454. Um or is he elsewhere? Season expansion.
God, if he is, it's going to be stupid. Um cuz what was mine? cuz mine's 6423 which is there but 6454 is not here. So that would be very frustrating if um he can only be used in the tears of the succulent.
Yeah. I mean 6454 is uh oh wait hold on hold hold on hold on. Yeah. Okay. That just says exploration ciphers. So yeah cuz these have sub kingdoms which has uh there are icons on these cards that allow us to go into them. but
isn't really going to be using a prince valley stone. Because of that, you still need those kingdom codices in tandem with this book. In other words, you will still use the kingdom codeex of your current kingdom more often than the 10,000 succulent and fierce codeex. The first and foremost rule of any codeex is this. Never read a passage unless clearly instructed to. This will ensure that you do not spoil any story for yourself or for other players at your table. Um, okay. So,
it doesn't have an entry for
not in the principality of stone. Um, cuz like Yeah, like I said, there is a 6454 right here, but
that's not it. I don't know. It It might Yeah, I mean, I guess we could introduce the expansion. So, the Okay, so let me see if this makes any sense. Uh, the lone statue stands sentinel over the river, guarding one of the few waterways broad enough to accommodate any vessels wishing to head deeper into the city. It depicts. You're not sure who it depicts. A warrior, a noble, a saint, whoever it was, they're long gone now, and the statue has been worn down over time until the features are unreadable. You cross over to the statue's little island in the midst of the ice choke current, examining more closely.
Few. Is that Is that making?
It looks perfect.
Okay. Few details jump out at you, save a handful of strange symbols painted on its plinth with a hasty hand. The paint, a pigment of blackish purple, is still vibrant, showing little sign of damage from the principalities near permanent frost. Somebody marked this recently, just within the last few days. And then it gives me a code or like a like it's five triangles and then it says is three. So like that.
So it's some type of cipher. So, if you want to write that down somewhere for uh for you. Um and then 64 or 6423 for me. Okay. Well, I'm glad it it made sense cuz I was like, what the hell? All around the small island, the Eerinvald River comes to a clogged halt. Debris, dust, and ice choking the current. Even so, there are places where liquid water remains. Within one stretch, you see a shifting shape, long, covered in metal scales with a jaw sharp enough to cut through iron. Then, as quick as you spot it, the creature is gone. There's nothing for you here, man. There's been nothing for me. I'm just like, what am I doing here? Uh, Devon, what was yours?
Um, 37. So, 6437.
All right. You gaze out across the river, a wistful feeling bubbling within you. You remember the frost fairs of Eiservald? The times when the frozen river would become host to stalls selling all kinds of treats, pop-up taverns, boxing rings, a festival celebration for all. It must have been years, decades. Surely not longer than that since the last one. Nothing for a year. Nothing.
You got it. Yeah. Markdown. Good deal. Ah, hold on. Um,
what do you what is that symbol
threat?
Just Oh, that's okay.
Oh, cool. Yeah. No,
Essentially, it's a like if we're piddling around, delving too long, it's like a bad mechanic where we lose essentially if threat hits too high.
If threat hits nine, we lose. If curse goes over four, we lose. Uh they're also based off thresholds depending on the exploration cards. Um so those uh yeah so high threats bad, high curse is bad. Um and uh yeah,
and you can do um these cards at any point during the exploration.
Yeah, unless it specifies like I have one that says um at the start of the delve round. So, um going to read this quick.
Yeah,
that's one that uh it feels like I should have done when we went into the large area.
Place this card in your play area whenever you gain at least two threat during a single step. Uh yeah, you could have. Yes. So, if you you would it cost one heat to play it. And at the start of the clash, you can lose X heat and place X opening tokens in the night pool where X is a number. Yeah. No, that sounds good. So, if you just want to retroactively say you played that um and you need one generic
three.
Oh, it was it was how much threat we gained.
Yeah.
Nice.
Sweet.
Oh, so there's going to be like tokens later
on his cuz remember he spends uh generic tokens and stuff to unleash.
Um but in that case uh he played that to um at the beginning of the clash he'll get to place opening tokens based off the generic tokens on there. Nice.
And then your heat will go up by one because uh that's how much it costs to play the card. Okay. Okay. So, that's that. We need Oh, and we didn't gain any any clues. Um so, now we need to place a generic token over here.
So, we're going to four, baby.
Yeah. Yeah, that's probably
That'll give us a blue and then another one.
Um
Oh, okay. Never mind. All right, I read it wrong. So, this one it I every time we go into one that's at least two, I'll get another one of those.
Oh, okay.
So, it's a continuing.
Gotcha. Which uh you're about to get one because we're going up north.
Okay. So, might as well just Okay. So, moving up. That's going to be a time, man. We're actually making a bunch of progress. Uh, and we're actually not gonna deal with the panzer gate. So, we're gonna gain two threat.
Threatened.
I'm actually going to do something really quick. Um, I'm going to play pickled rations.
In my head, you sound like a thamp.
I mean, it's probably accurate.
Uh, someone did clarify. We do get to pick.
Oh, good.
Uh, from the deck
cuz I'm like, we're only getting one. That makes that feels right.
Yeah. Um, so at the start of the delve round, I gain a threat to place one flash token on my uh night board.
Where'd you get that meat?
Pickling it this whole time.
You can pickle it.
I didn't need the caravan anymore, so I killed everyone for their meat.
Stole the rations. Get hungry.
Good luck. just leave him starving in this uh like hell h health sake uh area. Um at the start of the delve round, gain one threat to place one flesh token on your night board. And this will go into my delay. Okay, sweet. So, we're going to gain no one needs a blue and then green. What?
Green. Second one's a green.
We get ring token.
Well, whoever needs green.
[ __ ] yeah. Give me that [ __ ] green, baby.
Except for Cers.
Flip this table. I'm going to throw my back out.
Flip it.
Oh. Oh, you're right. I forget there's two. Sorry.
You need to make the guy with the monkey and the broken sword happy. His quest is pretty complicated. He's trying to find a real
I'm trying to find a sword.
I'm looking for it. Uh the stone plot. Hey. Oh, nope. That's nine and two and 16. Okay. So,
oh the panzer gate.
Yeah, we do not have any um any keys.
Three.
So, that uh that two is definitely not happening.
Oh [ __ ]
Damn it. Damn it, Devin.
Sorry. There we go. So, there's two and then 16. There we go. 16 and then nine.
You think one's near the two, but we can't. We're out of keys.
It took us a while to even get um to even get three.
Mhm.
Um Oh, yeah. It was a say triple.
So to access deep fog. So do we need this on the edge or
Okay. So we have to have that symbol to access deep fog. Okay. Okay. Good.
Yeah. Originally I thought you could just do it anywhere. But yeah, you have to be able to walk into it.
Um and then uh Stone Plaza. So that's three plus five. It's an eight. That is a distant rumble. Perform rotation one.
Easy enough. Okay. Um and then this is going to go away cuz boom curse transfer. You may gain X curses to lose X threat or vice versa. Uh, we're just under the threat threshold. Uh, so that's pretty solid. Um, I mean,
I don't think we need to. What do you think?
What? Gain one curse, lose one threat.
Yeah.
I mean, curse has not been frequent.
It has not.
But we don't get a lot.
Yeah. Especially
because that was the first curse we even gained this whole We didn't get any last round. That's true.
Yeah. Watch. Now we're just going to get a bunch. It's like anyway, gain two curves.
Yeah. [ __ ] it. I I say we gain a curse, lose a threat. That way it'll kind of mitigate this if we go up again or however we
go right. Yeah.
Could go right. 16 is what you're high vibing.
Could lose even more threat. Um
that's the thing is like these cards aren't uh like they're not in numerical order. So, it's not like we go to Well, we can't even go to two, but it's not like if we go to 16, we get to 17, which actually we know that's not the case cuz 17's over here. So, I'd probably say that um during rest. Yeah. Yeah, I'd probably say that we because we only have three more movement before we're at our full clash.
Yeah,
which is pretty interesting. So,
are we just going to probably just have two metallic marks? So, we need you one more clue before we get you to two
if we Yeah. Um, yeah, cuz the only way I'm going to get any type of Marshall is
I'm down for nine. Go up. There's a clue there.
Yeah, but going up gets us yellow.
Gets us yellow.
Yeah.
Oh, but if we But there's none. If we go right, we still get clues,
right?
Well, I only need two more. I have four. So
So you want to hope that 16 leads into something else and maybe we'll get lucky.
Yeah, that's probably our best bet.
Okay, 16 it is. Let's go.
All right. Hey, gain a thing.
Time ticks ever forward.
Oh [ __ ] it leads to 11.
Hey, there's one of them. Tracker knight. You're welcome. which is there and 18. Yeah, 18. That's a very that's a good idea. Stone face. Yeah, we should go to 11. grinding stone noise just like
or whenever he does talk it's just like
like that noise like that video game just that like like a stone it's like like the like the statue like rotates and you hear that drawing I just him just turning his edge
I'm just going to imagine that Stone Face is actually him and his buddy in in like a trench coat like that's what the armor's for is cuz it's two kids in in a suit of armor.
Um,
uh, yeah. Uh, exploration armor that stalks. Spawn an encounter on the closest large or extra-large tile in your district. If an encounter couldn't be spawned, spawn it on adjacent kingdom tile instead. Um, oh, okay. So, spawn an encounter on the largest, which is going to be
here.
Uh, oh, on the encounter on the closest largest or Oh, yeah, you're right. Um, Stone Plaza, which what district? Merchant District. That's going to be the then cast dead. It's over there.
Yep. Uh, okay. Good deal. Well, so there is definitely based off our random one going to be that.
Okie dokie.
And yeah, I mean 15. Maybe we'll get super lucky. We're there. I get to collect this. We lose a threat. It's pretty sweet.
Where does it go? Um, that sucks. It doesn't go anywhere except into the deep fog.
Dead end. Whatever two is.
Is it upside down?
Oh, two. Um, no, it's not. Is it upside down? Oh, you know what? No, it's not.
Huh?
Right. Yeah, that's
weird. Oh, it's cuz it's not a small 11.
Oh,
it's a large 11.
Just that one.
Oh, so is that like a different 11?
Is it not the one you
It is not.
Oh, hey location though.
Yeah, that makes more sense. I was like,
could we defog one of these? No, because it has to be an already explored um
area. And then that icon is a shortcut over to six, but you have to have an ability that lets you um that let you take shortcuts. Um so actually we didn't lose that. So that means that this thing actually moves after us. Um and yeah, this is basically a dead end. which is very
Yeah, it's another panzer gate, too.
Yeah, it lays up into two.
So, um well, poopy. Oh, of stone and rust. Resolve a kingdom adventure. All right, kingdom adventures. So, what' you roll? 31. That is ens snared. The paint snorting the Wow. The pain snorting catches your ear, luring you from the worn pathway you are following. Stepping cautiously through the undergrowth among the barred foundations of what once must have been an impressive smelting hall. You approach a small clearing from whence the sounds of distress are coming. Rounding the bowl of a large dead tree, armored with thin metal plates, no less. You spot a creature caught in an ancient rusted hunter snare. A boar. It's bristled hide covered in mud. Blood flowing from the wounded leg. Panicked eyes turn towards you. As a group, we get to choose.
Set the boar free.
No, no, no, no. We're not. Yeah, we're Yeah. Uh
we have a flesh ripper knight. Cap it. Actually, if we capture the beast, we get something if I'm with you.
Okay.
Uh but we might not want to do that. So, there's no telling how many old snares like this have been abandoned in the area and how many animals have fallen prey to them. Trapped and starved, starving to death as they wait for the return of a hunter long gone. You can lessen the suffering of this one creature, though. We lose a curse, but gain two threat. You may perform rotation one. And if Renholder was with you, he's not. Or we can capture the beast. The woodlands of old Eisenvald are a dangerous place and supplies are thin on the ground. You can at the very least make use of this unexpected boon. Each knight may regain up to two vigor. If flesh ritter is with you, place one flesh token in the night pool. At the start of the next clash, escalate one.
Oh, so you start with flesh, but we escalate.
Yeah.
Gotcha. Gotcha. Gotcha.
And we could heal one, but it's not like we're hurt. Heal two.
Oh, yeah. We're not hurt.
No. Yeah. So basically the only benefit we're getting from capturing it is I get a flash token in the night pool
and escalate one is actually
not
not great. So escalate um so each each enemy has three levels of AI. Um escalate basically means we immediately
yeah which you wouldn't do till you defeated one, right?
Uh no it would it would immediately start with level two.
No generally speaking.
Oh yeah. Uh it makes it harder at the beginning though. Um, we shouldn't do it then.
Probably not. It's not worth the flash token.
Yeah, cuz I'm the only one that I'm aware of that can use flesh tokens in the night pool. It allows me to use use it instead of heat. Um,
but if we needed to heal like four hit points, it'd totally be worth it. But
um, yeah, but at the same time,
what are the alternatives? It was either we lose a curse but gain two threat. If we gain two threat, then we'll have to move that token towards us twice.
Do we just ignore it?
No, we have to pick one.
We have to [ __ ] with it. Okay.
What's one escalate?
I I Yeah, that's kind of what I'm thinking
because I don't want I don't want to gain more threat since we already kind of
Right.
I mean, losing
I mean I at least get a flash token in the night pool.
Sure. Do it. So, rock and roll.
Okay. All right. So, I'm just like got some
free meat.
Don't Don't What is it? What's the saying? Don't look to Don't look at gift board in the mouth.
Yeah, there you go.
Uh, so I'm just going to put the the flash token right there. Um, and then we have an exploration card. The hunter and the hunted party leader test insight. Each other knight may gain one heat to add one to the party leader result. This is actually not going to be bad. So, uh, I'm the party leader because I'm the one questing. So, insight, which as the flesh ritter, I have zero. So, if either of you want to gain heat to have me roll, if I succeed, we can scavenge two or one knight gains one chosen clue,
which could be a green for you.
That would be amazing.
Or a marshall for me.
I can gain heat. Just one heat.
Just one heat to add one.
Do we do it before or after? I think it's before.
I mean, yeah, I'll definitely do it.
Okay. I will also have um roll off the eager square guy. He's just too eager.
You know that guy who's just way too happy and it's like he's like, "What are we doing, sir?" It's like, "God, get away from me.
Being enthusiastic get you included more."
Oh, hell yeah. I need a six. Didn't even need your guys' heat, but that is a success. So Shane Gillis, he always does this.
Um, so we succeed. Uh, oh, actually, never mind. Our threat's not a five. Uh, so you need one more green.
Yes. Then my quest or my investigation would be counted as successful at the end.
Man, are we going to get you to not like
I need one? Well, oh, wait, no, I don't. Never mind. I was like, wait a minute. I found it. Um, yeah. The only if I if we gave me the Marshall clue, that would get me to five and I would need one more. Um, so I mean, our best
Yeah, we're probably not going to get me the three. So, let's just go ahead and let you
That'd be awfully sweet of you. let you gain gain that.
Thank you, sir.
Okay. So, now I mean we basically have to backtrack.
Yeah, there's no forward.
We go through the
Oh, wait. We also have 97.
Oh, yeah. It was story. And did we do the POI?
Did we? Um, I don't think we did, actually.
What was the POI?
Five. Yeah.
Eight. Distant rumble rotation one.
Okay.
Um
stone face.
So 9723. There's nothing for you here. Oh my god. There is 9723 for me. There's little worth looking at around here. Beyond rodents. There's no game to hunt here. The beasts of the land having picked the bones of this decrepit old neighborhood clean. You spend a little time next to the massive sinkhole, gazing down into its steps. A tremor of nervousness tickles at your stomach, but you quickly quash it. Then a little voice nudges at your ear. A nuzzling itch in your consciousness. Jump, it says. See what awaits you at the bottom. You know you want to.
All right,
call the void.
You're right. That thought is stamped out even faster than the other one. Instead, you try to close your eyes, take a deep breath, and find your center. While you need to be bold, you must also not fall into recklessness. You remember what some of your mentors taught in the flashholden uh wise Metser Brenhof, who prayed daily to the patron of courage for strength. He always advised caution, but confidence. You just wish you could recall the mantras he used to meditate upon. If I own the Nightmare Realm Kingdom expansion, devote uh well, I don't have the Nightmare Realm Kingdom expansion yet. If I do not devote instead, well, devote is not really going to do us a whole lot of good right now anyway. Um I don't even know up there.
The Nightmare Realm Kingdom expansion. So they're already including references to
I mean they have they couldn't they wouldn't reprint this when the expansion comes out.
Um
so what was yours?
Mine uh oh um 37. So 90 9737. I'm definitely going to find something that matches.
You [ __ ] yourself looking deep into the chasm. You remember this neighborhood differently. The plaza, once a jewel of the city, not a place for gallows that came after the alloyed uprising, after the court were all hanged or had fled to other kingdoms, after Cassia went missing. No, you remember a much more lively and relaxing plaza. One filled with trees and cultivated to be enjoyed. All father's mercy. How long ago was that? 10 years? 20 more? Yeah. I'm like all my references are like, it used to be nice here.
Oh god, how long has it been? Surely it can't be 20 years. Yeah, there's nothing for you here. All right, Stoneface. What was yours?
54.
54. 9754.
You don't like it here. The royal plaza to the north is a site where countless executions were carried out under King Edehart's orders. You can feel the dark stain of those deaths hanging on the air, like a smell that won't go away, only rotting and getting worse. Even here outside the plaza, the taint will not fade. There is a graveyard nearby, overcrowded with markers. How many of them died needlessly upon the king's whims? You turn away, begging your companions to be gone from this place.
There's nothing for you here.
Nothing for you here.
Except we know that's the royal plaza.
That's true. Yeah.
Yeah.
Um I guess it is actually kind of interesting.
Maybe that's the palace.
Oh, yeah. It's uh it's interesting because the more you delve into the kingdom, the more we're going to recognize where things are for future like directions. Um so we can do we can do the deep fog and uh
so if we deep fog
and
we're still lose time though, right?
Deep fog. Do we lose a time if we go into the deep fog? Probably. I literally reread the deep fog rules, but I don't see deep fog. 37. Um, you gain we gain a threat and choose any unexplored kingdom tile that connect that's connected to an Okay, so yeah. So, we get to choose any unexplored kingdom tile that's connected to an explored kingdom tile anywhere on the map. That explorer tile does not need to be connected to your tile.
Okay. So, we get to go to an unexplored one.
Yeah.
Sweet.
Where?
That's um Well,
we could go Well, could we go around?
That's connected. Oh, yeah. Does that let us bypass the paner gates?
Yeah. That's a good question. Um, choose any unexplored kingdom tile that's connected to an explored kingdom tile anywhere on the map. Okay, so maybe the panzer gates.
Granted, we need a [ __ ] three.
We would draw three cards.
So, we draw three cards, but we need
four less. We need
four. So, so the the target number is always four.
Yes,
four less. Okay.
Well, uh, no, the target number is four. It's
But we draw a more card. We'll draw three.
We'll draw three cards.
Ideally, we want exactly four of our value. If it's less, we come out slight.
If we can't do the panzer gate, we should go here.
Uh yeah, cuz then we would get two clues. Um
and I would get another generic token and that's four.
Oh, yeah. So, I don't know. I don't know if the more cards you draw the better. You said the B, it sounded like the downside was worse if it went over.
If you go over the value of four. Yes.
Um,
unfortunately I have too much heat to use my card that helps with deep deep fog trapping.
Okay. Panzer gates. Um, panzer gate. A path with a paner gate is impassible. You cannot travel through it in the travel step. Paner gates block movement in both ways to and from the kingdom tile. Um,
it does not say that we can't bypass it. I mean, it has to be. I mean, that's the risk you take. We go into the deep fog to uh bypass the panzer gate. Um,
you could ask is the Discord.
I could um
I'm down.
But I kind of
Let's do it. risk big win big
and that would but would we get we would get clue tokens? We'd have to get very lucky to gain Marshall.
Swimming in Marshall until you got your quest.
I know. Yeah. I was like that's the only clue you were finding.
That's all we were getting. Um because I would definitely like uh three tally marks.
Yeah.
Um but I imagine that the clues we get would be based off of the route we took, which would be west. Um because I'm pretty sure you resolve everything on the card after the deep fog. Uh we could always say you got the Marshall for mine if we do find a green.
That's true. That's true. We could.
Let's rock and roll.
We get pretty lucky. Okay. So,
I don't really see any other options that are looking better.
Yeah, because we basically Yeah. We look back, we're like, should we head back and we see like an army of like skeletons? We're like, [ __ ] that.
But once we're only moving one more time, right, before the clash
before the full clash. Yep. Which will be most likely against the Egg Knight to finish out my quest and then they'll finish out the delve. Um, so so yeah, like I mean what what's the worst that can happen? We die. [ __ ] Can we gain curse and the deep fog?
Probably.
Probably. That's how we lose. All right, this campaign's over. Kyle, thanks for coming. Go home.
Whole party wipe.
Yeah, full. Everyone just dies except roll off the eager squire. So,
but we still don't know if we're allowed to bypass the Panzer.
I think you can read the ent.
We cannot travel during there. like we can't we have to have keys to get past the panzer gates. But if it says it is connected to an to an explored um
so
tile.
So once we're in there, we're trapped. Isn't that isn't that something that can
So we have three options whenever we traverse. So we can either stay the course where we just keep drawing the cards to see what we get. We can withdraw where we basically just head back to the to the tile we came from and gain a time or we can course correct where we change the path um and try and uh try and just make a make a better option for us.
But if you're surround if you're in an area that's surrounded by panzer gates and you can't go anywhere. Isn't that like a scenario where we
Oh, interesting. Yeah. Yeah, I see. I see what he's saying. If we go into the number two when there's no alternate path and we can't get through
Mhm.
Um I see what you mean.
Like I
But I mean when we flip this other large one, it had plenty of options to exit.
Yeah.
And it doesn't it's it's the other side that has the three lock. Not. This one has didn't show the three lock on any of its doors. So, I think it's just from the outside.
I think it's worth the risk.
Yeah.
I mean, it's possible. I bet you that still has a lock,
but I don't know.
And that's honestly, that's our best bet. It has the most clues. We're hunting the knight. I think that's it's our best option right now. It's that or turntail and fight the iron cast dead.
Yeah. Or or we can go there. Or
we could go there. Yeah,
it's up to you guys.
Wait, more clues, more power.
Yeah, I mean, if we're trying to get me two more Marshall, that would get me the third tally, which is preferably the best option probably during the story step, which will happen, literally the very next thing.
Um, I actually have a way to help in the uh during a delve. I didn't take it.
Take that one. We don't need that one.
Yep. Chef's Intuition. During a deep fog traversal, I can gain or discard one half cup token, which uh dang it. I didn't I didn't think we were ever going to go in the deep fog. What's a help action?
Help action is during an encounter. Um so essentially, whenever you're on a tile, if you have no one to attack, um then you can add tokens to the pool uh based off where you're at.
Okay.
Um so, so yeah, that that's that won't come up. Yeah. Once you resolve all Deep Fog effects, place the party marker on the target kingdom tile and remove the reminder token. During that step, get a clue. Oh, during that step, get a clue regardless of the type of tile you entered. And instead of gaining a clue that depends on the symbol of the exploration card, gain a clue of your choice.
Gain the rest of the clues normally.
What's that one?
This is emergence. When we once we uh come from it, we get to gain a clue of our choice.
Oh, [ __ ]
So,
so let's go.
All right. Yeah, I'm gonna keep this uh here. Deon, here you go. I'm just gonna let you do that. So,
uh just learn the uh um
So, we're going to go into
Yeah.
says gain the rest of the clues normally, which would still be based off of a random arrow on this. So, if we gain a Marshall, we have to hope that
one of the two
these two cards is up.
Okay.
Cuz the
So, we're entering the fog, huh? Yes. Game of Th. Oh, it's immediate.
Yep. Gain threat and choose any unexplored tile that's connected to an explored tile.
Yeah.
Anywhere on the map. The explored tile does not need to be connected to your tile.
Then check the back of the chosen kingdom tile for its deep fog intensity,
which is three.
Three. Okay. Number of cards you must draw, then traverse the deep fog. Important. Once you decide on a tile to travel to and check it deep fog intensity, there's no going back. You must attempt to traverse the fog. Okay.
It's the fog wall. Yeah.
Libra.
Okay. So, there's a value. Oh, yep. There is curse.
Okay.
Just the example already right there. Curse one.
Got it.
And what's three? Um, some default cards have hazard effects. So, that's the spilled cup. I don't know what that means. Okay.
So, I just draw
shuffle the place it face down on the table. Then draw a top card. This card becomes your starting deep fog card. Place a generic token on your current kingdom tile as a reminder and move the party marker to the starting deep fog card.
All right, so zero
zero.
Your goal is to traverse as many deep fog cards on a single path as the value of the deep fog intensity of your destination kingdom tile and end up with a deep fog value of four or less. Value of exactly four is ideal, but a lower value will still get you through with a few scrapes. Okay.
Value over four might end your expedition right then and there. Um, okay. Each round we might make a choice. Stay the course withdraw or course correct. So stay the course. Continue on your path. Draw the top card of the deep fog deck. Place adjacent to the deep fog card with a party marker. This card must be placed in a straight line along current path in the same orientation.
Okay.
If you can't place a deep fog card because another deep fog card block your path, you must course correct um or withdraw. Okay. Okay. So, it sounds like we're just continuing. I don't know what the spilt cup means, though. Half cup token.
Yeah, they're half cup tokens. Yeah, they're right here.
In fact, if you don't have any, uh, gain a half cup token. If you do, flip the half cup token. So, it's a full cup token. For every full cup, add plus one to the defog value.
Okay.
Okay. So, yeah, I guess we just draw another.
We curse one. So, curse went up.
Oh, we gain it immediately.
Did it say
it says plus one curse, but do we resolve? I think we resolve those only after we leave depending on our value.
Oh, okay.
If I remember right, uh, it's a one. Reedfield is a two now with the two half cups. So, we get a full cup.
Oh, we gain those immediately.
It's just um it's not really giving me a time table here. Um, okay. If you don't place, you must course. After placing a deep fog card, move the party marker onto it. Then count the number of revealed deep fog cards in your current path. It is equal to the intensity. Proceed to leaving the fog. Otherwise, continue traversing. So, we're still traversing.
Okay. So, our value is one. So,
we needed we need a two.
We need a two to make it four.
So, stay the course.
Yeah, I guess so.
Ah, it's a one.
So, we might get a few scrapes, but we still get the exit.
Yes. Yeah. So, right now we're at one, two, we're at three. What does it say?
At the start of the next clash escalate one
tasty.
Okay, so with we got three cards, so we were able to we are able to leave. So what is the value if it's under three?
Leaving the deep fog
or if it's under four.
When your path consists of as many deep cards as the value of the destination's tiles deep fog intensity, you begin to emerge. What effect will the fog have on you? Add the deep fog value of each card on your path. add an additional plus one for every half cup token you have. So why is it saying half cup token when it says that add plus one for every full cup add one? Okay, so we get a half cup token when we see them. So we have two half cups. So we have one full cup. So we should have no half cups.
Okay,
so we have one full cup. That total is your final deep fog value. If your deep fog value is exactly no, something happens. If your deep fog is less than four, you suffer a minor minor penalty. Resolve a chosen grave penalty effect of a single revealed deep fog card from your path. Okay. So, maybe that's what those are at the bottom.
Yeah, those are the Yeah, cuz if it's over I think it's if it's over four, you resolve all of them.
Okay. Discard a card with the lowest value from your revealed path. Then shuffle the deep fog deck along with the cards you use. Take the top card and discard it without revealing it. Proceed to emergence.
Okay. So we basically lose these zeros.
Mhm.
Um so cuz so it'll make each time you traverse the deep fog the harder and harder it's going to be to get to
Okay. Gotcha.
Was my thinking.
Um so we only get we only have to resolve. So, is half a cup plus one and is a full cup plus two or is a full cup plus one?
Because this is where it confused me. Like half cup hazard effects are effects located on the upper right corner of a default card. Resolve them only after you course correct.
So, we didn't course correct.
Okay.
So, we don't get
So, yes, when we're leaving. So, those are just half cups.
Yeah.
But we never course correct. Yeah, we never
but we never course corrected. So we didn't get that. So we didn't get any of those.
Okay.
Okay.
Leave it at that then. Okay. So we have to we're under We're under four.
Yes.
So we only resolve one of these.
Yes.
Plus one threat.
Um
cuz I don't want to escalate twice.
Sure.
And I definitely I mean I guess gaining a curse isn't isn't the worst because it's not going to end our uh end our delve.
Yeah. Just a single revealed one from the path. Yeah. Otherwise Yeah. If we were over four, we would resolve all of them. Okay,
that's what I thought.
All right, so we remove the zero from the deck and then we shuffle. Oh, no. Shuffle these.
Okay, that wasn't too bad.
And then discard the top card, which I guess it's not going to matter.
Sounds like it could really stack up [ __ ] pretty quick.
Yeah, I mean I guess going into, you know, that horrible the the cause of the kingdom's forlororn, it's probably not great.
This is the end of the dope, so
it is. Yeah. Yep. So then I guess we get to go into two where we get to pick a clue. Um Marshall. Marshall.
Nice.
Um and then we get the uh the rest like normal.
Okay.
That is a left which is a green.
We shouldn't have given you the green.
Oh, sweet.
Um and and up. Hell yeah.
Nice.
So that's red. So that is my six Marshall.
Sexy.
Which means that is a hot hot third tally. Cool. And then I guess we flip this and Oh yeah. Entire
Royal Pleaser.
Oh, look. There's 11. There's actual small 11.
Which I mean doesn't really matter because we can't uh
we found him. He was in the royal plaza.
Okay. Yeah,
we could hear his floppy hands from a mile away.
Oh, the the egg knight. Yeah. Um I'm not even going to put 11 down because it it doesn't matter. But um so we do have an exploration card. Panzer gate. Place a single Panzer Gate token on a random unlocked P. I'm I'm If you're in a noble district, we're not.
Um,
so now we're locked in,
right?
No, no, we can we can go back through the deep pond.
Go back in the deep.
You know what? I kind of liked it. Um, I'm not going to do that cuz it's not going to matter. Um, I
think we just take a left, guys. I don't know. Maybe we should go.
Just one person's clearly insane from the defog. Let's go back. Um, so Oh, wait. We would have gained. You gain a gen another generic token.
That's true.
Nice.
You always [ __ ] things up like I just have this huge meltdown. Um, all right. So, that's it. Then story section three plus I guess it would have been plus one. Um, so four. Uh, hey, tensions in the air. Resolve a kingdom adventure. Kyle, roll me a D 100.
Whites the tens.
60. Oh, not nine.
62.
So close.
It's my favorite position.
The old 62.
62.
Uh, that is going to be an ominous presence. For the past hour, you have been feeling a presence. Something powerful is following you. Yet you see no one. But the more you explore this destroyed hamlet, the more ominous the sensation gets. A rustle of armor plates. A sinister snicker. You jump at the slightest noise. Something is definitely here with you. Something terrible lurking in the shadows. Something you know you won't be able to defeat. Each knight test bravery 10 higher. You may discard any one clue to add three to your test. You may gain one threat to add one to each test. So, discard one to add plus three.
Yep.
I got plenty of two or plenty of yellows. Spend one of those.
Yeah.
And I have bravery, too. So, I just need a five.
It doesn't say I need to keep my clues. It just says I need to gain that many. So, I will spend one to add three. What's everyone's bravery?
Nailed it.
I don't have any. Did you? No, you didn't.
What? I got I needed 10. I I gave three and I have two.
Oh, you have two bravery. Nice.
Brave boy. All right, Kyle, are you spending a clue token to add three? You need a 10 or higher to pass. Uh, yeah. I might as well, right?
Hey, baby.
10.
All right. Um, it takes all your courage not to run. You pursue your exploration while keeping an eye on your surroundings, but nothing attacks you. You find documents from the royal office describing the actions the crown took against the cursed. Most of the time it left the commoners for dead. Righteous anger burns inside you. Gain one passion.
Is that for everybody or just you?
Yes. Oh, awesome.
I'm passionate.
Nice.
Hey, there we go. Rolloff also passed. I forgot he's considered a knight.
He's not. He's not. No, he's [ __ ] loser.
Okay. Yeah, we'll gain their passion. Alrighty, we are at full clash 16. So, at the start of the story step, oh, whoops. You have three plus hunt tiles. Read 0015. All righty. 0015. You catch sight of the monster long before it catches your scent. The egg knight is scuffing through the rubbing. Wow.
Rubbing.
Having a stroke. The Egnite is scuffing uh through the rubble of an old panzer works, a foundry of lost einvald. The beast picks out a pile, finding a yellowed bone, and holds it up to the tiny eyeholes of its rounded helm. You don't take the time for further study. The beast must fall. If the stranger's tale of a spreading plague is to be believed, only once it's dead can you take the time to learn more. You move into position. Hold. Holt is my sister. Scuttling around the other side of the foundry to flank it. You wait.
Yeah, 100%. You wait, lifting your sword to reflect the sun's fading light to signal your sister before finally you spring the trap. The monster turns its ovoid head to face you and lets out a massive shriek. The metal peels back like the mandibles of an insect, revealing sharp teeth, something papery yellow under the iron skin and a strange black icy scent in your stomach with an instant dread. One night may perform card refresh. Um,
well, you're the MC.
Uh, I mean that just gets me my pickled rations, which gives me reflex. What does your uh clash give you? I mean, you immediately get that card back if you perform card refresh. Uh, don't you have one?
I um at the start of the clash, which I was just waiting for you to finish that.
Okay.
Um, yeah, we're going to have you get your card.
You can.
Yeah. All right. Place up to X opening andor break tokens in the night pool where X is the number of hunt tally marks you have.
Oh, sweet.
So, three. So, what do we want to do? So, to hit his to hit value is six or higher. That's easy enough. Um,
and yeah, I mean, his AI cards is a one, so we get to place three tokens. Oh, you're adding opening tokens, aren't you?
He's get to Yeah, three opening tokens.
Okay, so might as well just do three breaks. [ __ ] him up on the first
[ __ ] blast him open.
There we go.
One, two, three. Thank you. Um, and then yeah, three opening. What was the opening? Um, icon. Oh, yeah. It's these. Boop. Boop. Okay. Yep. Proceed to a full clash against the egg knight.
Full clash.
She only needs eight wounds. And if we win, we read something. If we lose. Um, so we are all set up for the uh the egg knight. Uh, if you guys want to see, there is the art for him.
Looks a lot bigger in his imagery.
Yeah.
I mean, look at him in the miniature scaling like he's powers over us.
So,
yeah, with his uh
his fake hands.
All right, here's a quote. The egg knight baffles me. It walks like a man, but behaves like no thinking creature I've come across. It acts on instinct, very territorial, like a beast. But without a target, it almost turns into something else, something morose and introspective. I'm not sure whether to hunt it like an animal or like a man. That was from hunt master Rufus of the Border County Pathfinders.
Okay.
Settlers sent into the principality of stone, those who survived to flee back to civilization, at least speak often of the massive bloated knights with the egg-shaped helms. These gigantic human-shaped creatures range far and wide in the stonecursed kingdom, fiercely lashing out at anything that stands in their path. Rumors abound of their brutal cruelty, their unstoppable charge, and the sweet smelling yet costic yellow ooze that seeps from within their plates.
Almost like yolk.
Yolk.
Yolk. Yeah.
So, we're going to delicious and done this [ __ ] huh?
100%. Yeah. Where's Where's our dwarf? Some people say that right before the monster charges, they can hear something within the armored shell, a voice calling from the depths of its rounded gut. More often than not, they claim to hear the voice weeping, pleading, screaming. You have no time to stop and listen, for the egg knight is already charging at you, the rumble and roar of its pounding boots drowning out all other sound. Okay, so we got all of our opening stuff. I already did the escalation,
so we need to do eight wounds to him.
Um, here's his thing. He's has a hit value of six. Eight wounds. Like I said, he has Humpty Charge. Um, the Egg Knight turns to face the attacker and moves forward six spaces in a straight line, then turns to face the most knights. Humpty Charge causes a crash. If the egg knight moves through or ends its movement on a knockdown knight, the knight ignores the crash and draws a judicium instead.
Oh, so he lands on you. Well, he won't kill you.
If during Humpty Charge, the egg knight moves onto an obstacle, it immediately stops, turns to face the most knights, and discards an armor token from the lowest BP level with armor tokens. Oh, that's right. I think I remember remember his uh because I I did this fight in the tabletop simulator. But yeah, so crash basically means uh you get hit, you get knocked down, and you suffer a damage. Um, Humpty Fate. If during Humpty Charge the Egg Knight is about to move uh into a board edge, it immediately stops turn to face the most knights and discards an armor token from the lowest BP level with armor tokens. Counter. Each time the egg knight is dealt a wound, uh, place a generic token on this trait. When you finish resolving the current action, if there are three or more generic tokens on this trait, discard all of them and perform signature. And then he has panzer onion.
Each BP level has its own corresponding space on the sheet. Each armor token on that space increases the armor threshold of the corresponding cards by one. Whenever the egg knight loses armor tokens as a result of Humpty Shards, draw the top grave mortise card and place a column terrain tile on the board on a space designated by the coordinates on it. Okay, so basically his armor peels off and it adds more terrain onto the board. Additional setup. Place a number of armor tokens on this trait denoted on the BP spaces below. Uh, okay. armor tokens.
Oh, the little square.
Okay. So, denoted on the trait on the spaces below. So, is it BP1 has one, BP2 has two, and BP3 has three. Is that how that works?
Or they each have a token. So, they increase the threshold by one until we
What was it? until we wound one and then it peels off.
So, he has ways to lose them. Um, so, uh, if during Humpty Charge, the egg knight moves onto an obstacle, it immediately stops, turns to face the most knights, and discards an armor token from the lowest BP level with armor tokens.
So, we want him to charge into terrain to lose his armor.
Yeah. He like crashes into it. Um, Humpty
or push back.
Yeah. Oh, yeah. If during Humpty Charge, the Egg Knight is about to move into a board edge, it immediately stops, turns to face the most knights, and discards an armor token from the lowest BP level with armor.
Or if you just hit the wall. Okay.
Um,
so many square arenas around here.
Each BP level has its own corresponding space on the sheet. Each armor token on that space increases the threshold by one. Whenever the egg knight loses armor tokens as a result of Humpty Charge, uh, draw the top grave mortise card and place a column terrain tile on the board on the space designated by the coordinates on it. Um, okay. And place a number of armor tokens on this trade denoted on the BP spaces below. Yeah, I guess it's just one.
So, do you have the mortise decks?
I do. Yeah, they're over here. Um yes. So if you want to put that one on minor
minor mortise major mortise
we have major then we have grave and then the judicium. So yeah basically if he if you're if he lands on you but you have to be knocked down. If you are knocked down and he lands on you, you draw. And these are 5050. It's either you live or you die. Um, and that's it.
Let's [ __ ] them up.
That is that's it. Okay. So, first full-fledged fight against the egg knight. Sword slash. All right. He is targeting the closest knight in front. That's both of us.
That is both of you. So, he actually is hitting the first two areas. Um, and he is going to move and attack. So, uh, random roll off.
Oh, boy.
Between one of you two.
I got seven.
You just roll a black d10.
Eight. Darn. I guess I'm targeted. Sweet.
All right. Boom. All right. Sword cut. This is Oh, god. Okay. So, you do I'm looking at the wrong thing. Uh, okay. It's three dice. Nine or higher. So, again, cuz uh that's how many dice you have to roll, and that's the value you're trying to get on each die. Uh, nine or higher. You could react if you had a way to react. Watch me just to full [ __ ] dodge this old man style. Oh, I dodged two.
That's actually amazing.
I dodged. You got a crit evade.
I No.
Okay. I didn't think so. Uh but uh for each hit you lose four vigor. No, it's one.
[ __ ] what?
I'm not even gonna crit.
So uh so the d10, the white d10 is always your crit die. Uh, so if you roll a natural 10 uh when you're attacking, you get a crit chance on a body part.
Uh, basically for a crit of evade, you need to roll a d10. And you have to have something that gives you crit.
Your gear will say
Okay. Yeah.
So like he It's not just he rolled that. He would have had to have
something that says crit. Yeah.
Very rare, but um So did you lose your vigor?
Uh I lost a little vigor. So that increases my threshold.
Just one vigor.
Just one vigor. And uh this little coffin means that you have to do a um a mortise a mortise draw.
A minor mortise.
No, that's not the one.
Is it good or bad?
Fain death.
Dismbal
immediately. Chain break. I know. I uh chain break the monster. Gain the knockdown standing up condition card. So I think I just get to stand right back up.
So essentially I I chain break if he was going to do a followup. Yeah,
but I get to stand right back up when we start.
Oh, okay.
Okay,
that's not bad.
Oh my.
Yep. I just died of old age.
And we're just like, God, he's just so extra. Um, all right. That was it. He had no follow-up, no nothing. So, Humpty Charge is going to be something that So, if he does his signature after he does his attack, he's going to do Humpty Charge.
So, okay, just and he has counter. So basically every three wounds he's going to immediately do his sword cut. Um
okay. Are we starting?
We are. We get to do our refresh.
Okay.
Who who's uh the priority target right now?
Oh. Um it is random. So we
guess lowest roll.
Yeah, it's lowest roll.
Okay.
I got a eight.
I got a I can't tell. I fell over that.
Oh, it's a three.
Three. I'm doing so good.
And I'll roll a four to roll off. You got a four. Did you roll to see who's getting priority target?
Me.
Cers. Yeah. It's whoever has highest pri highest passion.
All right.
Um when we refresh, do we move the passion up when we attack?
Only when you attack. Okay.
Yep. Every single attack will raise your passion.
But you do get the benefits of that raise for that attack.
Sure.
Yep. Um Okay. Okay. So, none of my stuff helps me, right?
Okay. That's like all your guys' tokens in there, so you guys can lead the charge.
Uh, yeah. I mean, it's just one egg knight. I mean, we're
send in the squire.
Squire, get him. I'm not going to waste waste all those tokens on rolloff, even though he has eager.
You might as well with that flush token in there.
Uh, that I mean, that may use heat. Um,
yeah. So, you get a free reroll essentially. Well, actually, oh yeah, I do have a flesh on my um on my card, so I could uh that actually does let me do my second chance. Um yeah, [ __ ] it. I'll just go right there with my chipped axe and I will roll. Um commit. Commit was increase heat
in heat. Yeah. When I attack, increase my passion and watch me get a crit, baby.
Be pretty cool.
Okay, six. That's a hit. Um, so these openings, I mean, that's a nine essentially with all those openings. Um, so that is going to be his left puldron. All right. So, um, this is the threshold of what the swords you're trying to get it because there's an armor token that makes it a four. these break tokens essentially. Let me turn um the half things into a three um or the sorry the chalicees into swords. So I did get a hit. That's a black and a red. Um right on his left cauldron. And for each sword that you get that's over this overcome, you get the overcome value which is nice. So, let's see what I get. That is absolute dog [ __ ] Um, I do have a reroll luckily at two passion. God, am I What do you think? It has to be the black one, right?
I need I need a four. Yeah, it's going to have to be the black value. Am I gonna end up missing? Oh my god, I missed. I did not wound. You can't use the flesh to reroll.
No. Nope. Uh, now reroll these. All right. Well, that sucks.
Damn, I didn't even get the overcome. Well, he's not Humpty Charging cuz I didn't wound him. So, I will leave behind a break. I'll leave behind two breaks. So, that was my turn. That was embarrassing.
Yeah.
I'm just like, it's like uh hitting like a baseball at the like when it's close to the handle. Oh. Oh my god, my wrist. Um, yeah, that was my turn.
I'm fairly accurate, so I'll try and capitalize with those extra breaks in there.
Okay. Uh, oh man, now he's staggered. I'm coming in with my broken sword. Um, let's do some monkey business. Um, so he's just a he's pretty easy to hit with a six. So he's easy to hit. I guess he's a little harder to wound
cuz I got little sir on me. That gives me rerolls if I remember right. Nightboard gains. Yeah, I get attack one. What? I don't really rolls additional precision. Ah, [ __ ] it. We'll keep him. Uh, okay. I'll just stab him in his face hole.
His little eye holes.
Yep. I'm going to stab him right in there.
His little beady eyes on the on his helmet.
Like, no wonder he's No wonder he's just charging everywhere. He can't see.
So, six are better to hit. I have plus two accuracy, so I just need a four better on both dice. Alrighty. Well, it looks like I really did need little sir's help here. So, I get a free reroll from that. Um, there's a hit. I got one hit.
All right.
So, that gives me two reds going forward.
His right puldron. It is a three.
At 83. Oh, right. He's got that armor that [ __ ] blows
body part one. So, it's a three.
Okay. Well, I do have one extra green, so I could crank up the power if I really needed to. So, I'm at passion two. I have one power reroll.
You have two breaks.
Okay. One, two, three. That's enough.
Nice. All right. On wound, you uh lose a vigor.
Um and push back two.
I get push back, too.
Yep.
Gross [ __ ] Okay. I guess I'm smashing into the freaking Oh, but
um
then um first window I'm going to I get to use my um cool ability. Uh what was it called?
I forget what the term was, but it lets me move diagonally when I initiate the attack.
It was like a It was like a What was that called?
I don't remember what it was called, but I know the symbol and I looked it up.
Yeah. So, it lets me do that actually before I can even initiate the damage. But,
okay.
Um, knowing what the card side effect was, I would have done that so I don't hit terrain.
Okay. Yeah, that'll be nice.
And then I'll move back. I'll get push back too.
Push back two, I think, was he moves, right?
Yeah, cuz knockback would be
um Okay. So, that is a wound meaning he is going to escalate into a two. I'm going to place a generic token next to counter. And that's it. You just lose the What tokens are you leaving behind, good sir?
Um, let's see.
Oh god, what's your movement?
Three.
Should I have dodged the other direction?
Um, actually, hold on. But I can reach two.
Oh,
on with my pitchfor.
Oh, sweet.
Oh, perfect. So, you can still get in range. Nice.
Then I will leave. How accurate are you? Or you get plus one. Uh
what's that for?
Bane limit.
Bane is basically if you hit your uh over your bane limit, you just die.
See, I have opening one. Uh I'll leave a break. So there's one opening, one break.
Okay. Boop.
All right. Yeah, go for it, Willie.
How what choices did you have on here?
Uh, so I have I can either leave I can do my little fancy movement that I did or I can leave an opening or a break and they both have a little fancy movement. I had a power rroll since I was at passion two,
right?
Um, and then my sword has opening one built into it. So that's why I was able to leave a break and an opening.
Yeah. I mean, if you can move three, but with reach two, you can still hit him.
Before I end my turn,
no,
I'm gonna monkey I'm gonna I'm gonna benefit.
Yeah,
I'm gonna monkey business.
I like it.
And we're going to monkey business.
There's going to be monkey business. I'm going to put it on him.
Nice.
So, now we all get an evasion an extra evasion reroll.
He's covering his eyes.
Yeah,
he's just on it.
Just just caking [ __ ] into the eyeballs. That's a lot of feces. Yeah, I keep feeding him. Uh oh, wait. Yeah. So, you're moving.
So, I moved here. I've reached two with my pitchfor.
Nice.
So, this means I rolled two of the white
uh a Y and a black
for the pitchfork.
Is it Is it two dice?
Yeah, it's two.
Yeah. So, it's a white and a black. You'll always only ever roll one white dice because that's your crit die.
Got it.
Oh my god. And you got a crit.
Nice. You did.
God. Are you going to be Are you going to be our good luck to counter Devon's bad luck?
Uh okay. So that is his exposed back. How how uh thematically appropriate.
So you need a three.
So you got uh two hits. So, whatever. So, each hit you got off of that will add whatever the dye color is plus whatever your um
So, since both die hit, you get two reds and then your st stock die is red. So, three reds total.
Yep. And you're looking for three swords or two swords and a chalice.
There you go. You [ __ ] got it. And on the crit, stabbing him in his exposed back, he is not going to Humpty Charge. Um because every critical when you wound, you ignore the response, which would have been a fail anyway. Uh you gain two passion.
Nice.
That is nice. So two passion and that's going to make you the priority target.
All yours.
Um that was a level. Oh, also actually one thing we forgot to do. It's going to put in a power and body part one. So, I got to put in a two, two, three, four, five. Yeah, six cuz I [ __ ] failed on that opening. All right. What dice are you leaving or dice? What tokens are you leaving behind, good sir?
So, I have four passions.
Yep. So, you they stack. So you can add from all up to four on your heroic arc.
What do you So you're if you're at four, then you get a break, an opening. Um if you wanted to push him back, that is an option if you wanted to use that option there. Um which I believe is push back. I think you get to pick the direction. So you could possibly throw him into that. Um let me see. So I can we can get two of those.
Yeah. So that's Oh, you have push back two possibly. So you have definitely two breaks uh if you're if you're going with that option.
Yeah,
cuz your weapon has opening built in. So at four is your total. So you could have three breaks and an opening, which I think is the best option.
Yeah, let's do that then.
Okay,
I'm gonna double check cuz he he could knock it back two spaces.
Oh, okay.
Gotcha. All right, roll off. One, two, three, four. Come on, baby. He popped on a mule.
He He Right. He needs um He got a crit chance.
Nice.
He rolled a crit chance. All right. So, that is on body part two, which is his weak Pauline. Uh okay. Uh his weak Pauline, which is a four. Um so, his power is two. He can use two potentials. So that's going to be he has two breaks. So that's going to be four. So that hits or that wounds. Sweet. So that
Oh, so you crit it.
Yes. The egg knight. Oh man, the egg knight cannot perform knockdowns.
Oh, okay. Baller
crash still works. Uh, okay. So that works. So that is those. Yeah, Squire is very straightforward. Um, and Oh, no. Okay, so that's
just smacked his knee in with a cane.
Uh, yeah. I don't even know. Yeah. Yeah. With his like his
my donkey stick
or he like he smacks his mule's ass and then butt kicks his knee
combo.
Uh, that was a that was a two. So, that means a body part three is going in. Oh, and then that's going to be a generic token that is make going to make him counter. So,
is he going to do a is
each time Ignite? Yeah. Uh when you finish resolving the current action, if there are three or more generic tokens on this trait, discard all generic tokens and perform signature. Uh one, two, three, four, five. Okay, so there's that. And then I got to get rid of a two and put in a three. Put a two right back on top. All right. Closest knight in front.
Well, that's you.
Uh, three dice.
Three dice. Okay.
What's up? What do I need?
Nine.
Nine or higher.
Nine or higher.
Okay.
God damn. And I get a reroll here.
Oh, you get a reroll. I thought it was a plus one.
Yeah. [ __ ] Full dodge this. That' be pretty. Damn.
A close though. Um, still not. What's your heat?
Uh, one.
Okay. Um, for each hit. Yeah, you lose a vigor.
Ouch.
And then you got to do a mortise draw.
Okay. So, I'm at seven now. So, that's still minor. Can I have minor, please?
Super disembowled.
Dash. lose a vigor.
Oh no.
So that puts me to major. Increases my threshold. Um, shuffle this card back in and draw again.
Oh no.
So this time I'm drawing.
Okay.
Can you imagine getting so unlucky you drew gash every single time until you die?
Yeah. Jesus.
Well, I I guess I'm drawing a major now cuz it said draw again.
Oh. Oh
well, let me let me pull up gash. Maybe shuffle shuffle this card back into the mortise deck. Then resolve the peril check again. Oh yes, I am in now in major.
Gross.
We are at Oh, it's eight wounds. Not I thought it was six for some reason.
Love that gash. Major danger in a major inner strength. Lose two heat. Stand up and immediately perform a bonus attack.
Oh, nice. Oh, that's going to be a chain break, too. So, you get
[ __ ] this guy. All right. So, he's not charging at all. I'm
going to bonus attack his ass with my broken sword.
Your passion.
Yes. Thank you. Three passion. That's going to be not quite. I'll heat up for roll.
Nice.
Well, that would have hit anyway. I forgot I have more accuracy on the sword.
Oh, yeah.
But
all right. Against his armored chest.
Okay. three red.
So, it's a four.
So, no D, no tokens in the pool.
Um, that was uh Oh, I guess it was after the attack. Um, his passion. He would have left a break.
I'll take it.
Break. I guess a break in an opening, but that's it.
Okay. What am I hitting?
Four.
Four.
His armored chest.
Okay. One, two, three. That's power reroll. One.
There it is. Just enough.
Nice. Hell yeah. So that is You didn't fail. So uh one, two, three. That's a body part one. So two is getting shot. So, ooh, I will move this way.
Yeah, that's fair.
Um, I will leave. He's pretty easy to hit. So, I'm just going to leave.
Well, did we ever find out if um it clears?
It didn't say. It said it uh like during the escalation step they clear.
Oh, which would be now. Yeah, but it's but you're doing that every time you wound,
right?
So I mean so I mean they definitely clear every turn cuz you use them.
Yeah,
but then you place the new ones in the second ability window.
Yeah. See, that's
So what I read wasn't what I thought it was originally.
Okay.
So still nothing says to clear like it does on trespass.
Yeah, cuz that's the thing that makes no sense about meat provisions is
Oh, so you need them to be clear to
Yeah, but if if you're always leaving them from round to round and I I I think
that's going to be another for the FAQ, I guess. Yeah, we did the exhibition clash where it clears at the end of a nine round.
I mean, it's it's however you want to treat it. I mean,
we'll just do it atto style.
Do atto style. Makes the most sense.
So, I know leave me tokens.
Yeah. All right. Um Okay. So, that's Evelyn, right?
Uh yes.
Oh, you did deal a wound to him. So, that is going to put his counter on. And he only loses armor tokens whenever he charges. Um or Humpty Fates, but he hasn't done that. All right. Backslash. Knight in a blind spot. There is no one uh closest knight in front. Well, that's you again.
Jesus.
Wait. So
So his blind spot is here.
But did did you attack last turn?
Um
yeah, he missed cuz he went when it was loaded with tokens and he rolled bad.
This was after the He attacks. So that he got a free attack because of his three tokens. And now he's taking his turn.
Okay.
Yeah. He has a counter ability where every wound we deal, we put a generic token. Once there's three at at the end of that turn, he immediately does his signature.
Okay.
And then since that was his attack, we had all gone,
he got a bonus attack from the from the Morous draw.
So this was um we've still all only done tech technically one turn.
Yep.
Okay. Okay. And then it goes to him where he is doing the backslash where he would attack behind him but uh there's no one behind him so it's closest knight in front.
So Jesus.
All right. Uh three dice eight or higher. What's your heat?
Um one.
Okay, you're good. The [ __ ] is choke three?
You can go ahead and
Okay, so three.
Yeah.
Oh, choke. That's when it like um I know it modifies your limit and makes where you can use less heat.
Okay.
Um if it's got some little
Oh, it's a condition card. Yeah. If you don't have the choked condition card gain in, place the black acrylic cube on zero on the heat track. Ah, that's your choke limit. Then increase the choke limit by Xus one. Your heat can never go below this limit. Okay.
All right. Go for it.
Took three. Eight or better.
Eight or better. I mean, you've been rolling.
I've been rolling pretty good. Not this time. Uh, I mean, I'll reroll because monkey business. Nope. So, I'm taking all three hits.
Yep. All right. You're losing three total vigor.
Okay.
Uh, and you're doing a more this draw.
Gorgeous. So, it puts me down three. It's a grave.
Oh, god.
Take on the old man.
Oh, I keep [ __ ] fighting. Night counter. You may immediately move up to four spaces and perform a bonus attack.
Nice.
Um, if I was knocked down, I get to stand back up. Okay, I'll just keep fighting.
You keep being good Mortise cards.
Yeah, won't argue. Um, [ __ ] Uh, move in a different direction. Got this. [ __ ] it. Hold over here. And then I bonus attack.
Hell yeah. Dude, you're getting choked. I am choked. So, cannot become equal to or lower than your choke limit. So, I got another black dice or a black cube to put on here.
Uh, yes. There you go, sir. So, I'm choke. What was the choke value? Sorry. Three.
Three. Yesesh. Can I go lower? So, I'm essentially considered there then.
Yeah, I guess you're always at
the reven. Okay.
Uh, okay. Yes. Uh, we already dodged. I'm trying to attack now. No tokens in the pool.
No.
Um, yeah. Well, I think rerolls are more valuable. Two hits.
Two hits. Nice. against his giant sabaton. It's going to be a five.
[ __ ] [ __ ] dude. That's pretty hard to hit.
Yeah, I mean, he hasn't done any charges, so he's just been slowly moving towards you. Do [ __ ] gang busters here. One, two, three. I get one power reroll. Oh yeah, I guess my passion goes up again.
Yeah.
So, two power rs.
Nice. One, two, three, four.
Is there a timing on these cards? I wasn't 100% sure. Can I use these in the middle of attacks or
I think so. I think you use them like unless it specifies otherwise like when you can use them.
You can use them in between individual actions. So like between moving and attacking or you
So I'm still in an attack.
But you can use them for their top effect as well if you have a reroll.
Oh, if I wanted tokens.
Yeah.
Oh, okay then. Oh, but I toss it for an extra break token. I can toss my second chance. That could save my life.
Actually, this this one is uh good to fail cuz it says knockdown, but because of that crit earlier, he can't he the ignite cannot perform knockdowns.
I'm going to use my second.
So the only thing that happens is you don't. Well, if I can get the two sword, then I get it, which I didn't, so I failed.
All right. Well, luckily he cannot perform knockdowns, so uh except crash is the only time he can do it. So, not the end of the world. Um, okay. So, that is his turn. So, we get to refresh. Look at my night roll. Everyone has our cards. Mine are so hyper specific and I have not been target like I can heal myself. I can stand up. I can second chance or I can reflex. It's like all I can do with my cards, so they're not super helpful right now. Um, it's a body part two. That's not great. Um, what do we think? I mean, if I go, I can place an opening or break token in the knife pool.
Yeah, go for it. I mean, you're the you're the cold opener.
Yeah.
Yeah. Go for item.
Ah, I'll get my redemption break opening. I mean, it's still not going to be amazing. I only rolled one die. Where's my Where's my crit die? Do you guys have it? Give me my crit die. Oh, okay. Well, that was ass. Let's reroll. I'm probably not going to do anything to this fight. Okay, that's a hit.
Your quarry.
You brought us along to do all the work. And then I reap the benefits. Oh, yep. Nope. That's not happening. Um, okay. It is a six.
I don't even think I can. I
need to chip off that armor.
He needs to do his ste. He needs to run into stuff. Um,
or you can start pushing him back into [ __ ] We need Yeah,
I could. Yeah, I guess maybe I should have used my push back last time, but I can push him to I can actually push him over too.
That pushes him into the wall. So then I wouldn't remove an armor
if it's just enough. I think it has to be over.
I think the only time he loses is when he does his Humpty Charge.
Yeah. And we stopped that from happening once.
Yeah.
And that's triggered by the three.
Well, sword cut is definitely a thing. And then other cards have mentioned it.
Okay.
Um I the I can theoretically get five. Oh, wait. I need six. I did. You get the overcome. You have to go over the wound value by that much,
which was three.
Well, it's it's three, but I'd have to have a rolled six or what's its overcome value for me? So, I would need six. I I double checked on overcome.
Oh, you did?
Yeah,
cuz it felt very powerful.
I just I just want to double check.
Ah, so it's not good.
Yeah, it's it's like a benefit if you overkill.
That makes sense. Well, I don't think I'm getting it. That's the best roll I could have got. Well, I do get a roller roll, so that's Yeah. So, one, two.
Did you spend a clue? Maybe for extra potency.
I don't have any. Oh, actually, no. You know what? You are correct. I forgot I do have those. One, two, three, four. Oh, no, I can. Yeah, you're right. I forgot. You can spend clue to increase heat. And spending a more uh a mortise a marshall gives me a plus one power. And my chipped axe is a plus one power. So that's one two three four five six.
So that's actually there's the the [ __ ] wound baby.
Uh but I lose two vigor and push back three which will suffer uh unavoidable knockback for you unfortunately. Um, which is five. One, two, three, four, five.
Yeah, they stop on you. They just like kick you really far.
Yeah, but that is a body part two. All right. Um, I am going to leave behind. Well, it's one break for my chipped axe. Probably it's a BP3. Probably another break.
Yeah, as many breaks you can stack. I could put in I could put in
three breaks and a flesh.
Flesh.
That's my turn.
All right. Um I guess I can use this card to stand up.
Hell yeah.
Nice.
And do I stand up in Was I here? You said it was five.
One, two, three.
Oh yeah, you'll be there. So, I'm going to move three just to get within range barely.
Okay,
poke him.
And I'm going to poke him.
Passion goes up.
We have five wounds out of eight.
I get a third.
Yes, you get additional dice.
Oh, that's once I hit.
Yeah, that's true.
All right.
Oh, and body if you wound a body part three, um, it's two wounds. So, So, I can reroll.
You reroll both at the cost of two heat each, unless you're getting a plus one. Are you getting a plus one?
I can. Um,
he does have a plus one baked in.
That's a reroll, right?
Power reroll. So, it's the these dice.
Yeah, cuz these dice you can use heat to roll at any time.
And this it it's one heat
per dice. Per dice.
You can re-roll any one dice. But I have to choose whether to do one or both.
Yeah, you can't like Yeah. see what the result is and then
uh Yeah, I'm going to do both.
Well, that five counted, right? Does your pitchfork have a
Oh, yeah. He just needs five. He just needs
Yeah, my has a plus.
Yeah. So So,
so I hit Okay, that was my bad. For some reason, I thought I need a seven or better.
Um but I could hit twice if I with my other
You're probably going to need it against a body part three. Yeah, that's
So, yeah, I'll I'll reroll ones.
Okay. God damn. All right. Uh, so it is a de his deformed head. All right. Damn. All right. So, it's a seven.
Jesus.
To try and wound.
So, you get three dice when you reach a seven. It's pretty rough. And I get two rerolls. Three dy and two rules. But yeah, I
you could use a clue as well.
Uh yeah, I can do either.
Oh, they just give you um
Well, if I got
potential
like um let's see the ones that have the cup. Isn't there one that has
on the red? I think the best is just two two swords.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Rock and roll. There's no way to get three on any of them.
Not on reds.
Yeah, you'll have two power rerolls going into this. So, give it your red shot.
Wait, does that I need seven though?
Yeah, cuz it's a six plus the armor.
So, doesn't that mean it's impossible?
Um, if you're
Cuz my max is two.
Two per.
It's not impossible. It's there. It's really hard.
How is he getting the seventh?
Yeah. How am I getting the last one? Well, I mean, assuming you get a couple of twos, you could use one of your X's for a potential, one of your clues for an additional potential because you have three breaks to to feed off of.
Oh, yeah. So, you'd have to get the best roll on all three dice. And your pitchfork lets you spend a clue to give you a potential, which will let you use one of these breaks to make a seven.
Rock and roll.
So, best roll possible. Okay,
that's a six.
Oh, that is actually six. Yeah,
you just need a twofer. Just one of those needs to be a two. You have two power rs.
Can't reroll the same die twice,
right? And could be worse. So, I guess we'll see.
Okay.
Well, same result. You got one more.
Oh, yeah.
Damn son of [ __ ]
All right. Well, either way, he was going to he was he's doing he's finally doing a Humpty Charge um because that was happening uh regardless because it's an instinct. All right. Turns to face the attacker, which is you uh and moves forward six spaces in a straight line, then turns to face of most knights. Humpty Charge causes crash if the 89 moves through or ends its movement on a knockdown knight. All right. So, he's going one, two, three, four, five, six, turns the face. So, you and I suffer crash, which is basically
we are knocked down
and we lose a we lose a vigor.
Um, and then uh he did not move into an obstacle, so he did not lose the armor.
The one time he's on the charge, he wasn't in he didn't hit the wall. He didn't hit any of these,
right? So, all right. Boom, boom, boom. Those are gone. Uh, what tokens are you leaving behind?
Um,
cuz luckily you still get to do that.
Okay, I guess I can do two openings and three breaks. Okay. Two openings and three breaks. Okay. Well, unfortunately, I already went. Um I don't want to get stomped on. So, I think I'm going to I don't I can't spend the heat. Oh, yes, I can. My max has increased because I'm at eight now. So, my max is four. Okay. Yeah, I'm going to spend two. to uh do my night pose to stand up.
Um I mean he can only go one, two, three. You know what? Let's just have him back up a little bit because chances are he's going to rush in.
Okay, I'll take my turn, I guess. Um, I will What do you think? Should I leave the monkey on him for the rerolls? It doesn't super give you attack rles if it's on you personally. Um,
it's not bad.
That's too bad.
That armor actually I was like, "Oh, it only adds one. That's not going to be too bad." And he almost wounded the three without armor. That is what messed it up.
Oh, you know what I'll do? I'll just put him on the board. There you go.
Increases your posision.
Okay.
If you're adjacent to him.
Okay, I think that's everyone, right?
Oh, let me uh do my movement. One, two, three. I'm going to use my action to remove choke.
Okay,
so reduces it by three. So putting it to zero. So refresh. It's still a three, I assume. So that's been removed. It says I can reduce it by three by using my either my eye movement or action.
Got it. All right. His turn. Whoop. Poached knight. Target is priority target.
Oh, that's you.
Yeah, I'm at three. What's your passion? Five.
Yeah, it's me.
Okay. So,
and I'm on the ground.
Is it bad?
Um, it's interesting. So, he is Yep. He's He's going to be He's moving to attack. Um, so it is four dice. You got to get a nine or higher. Oh, these are gone. One, two, three. Boom. And then the white. You got the white in there. Not that it matters because none of us have cord of eight. All right. Nine or higher.
Got two tens.
Okay. So, um, okay. I'm going to
Where is that? Yeah. Am I good? There. I'm actually Oh, I can actually spend these as heat. Oh, that gives me two. Wait, hold on. That gives me two leash cuz I mitigated two damage.
Oh, nice.
Like for my special rules, which so I need two of those to just generic tokens.
Generic tokens.
Okay.
And then what is guard? Like
the how does guard work? It says I can guard two. Would this?
That's a good question. I don't know. Uh before re-rolling evasion dice, you may add X to the result spreading between any of the evasion dice. So you could basically if it's guard two, you can add two between your dice.
A new one. Yeah.
Feels like an old block, but
yeah. So like for example, let's say you needed a nine and you rolled an eight. You can guard two and add one to the eight to make it a nine.
Nice. Okay.
But I can't reroll any of those, right?
Uh yeah, I mean you can you can spend heat to reoll them.
Yeah, you had one and two.
I only have one heat left. So
yeah. Um okay. So I'm going to spend my two fly from the pool to do night roll and I'm going to roll. I mean reflex. Oh reflex lets me just move one because he's going to do push back two. Um all right. So well um because of the way this this is a pretty fast cool down I am going to reroll one and do guard two and then I get another generic token by doing it.
Okay.
And I didn't get it.
Okay. So, what's your he at?
It's at three.
It's at three. All right. So, he is uh going to do push back two. So, I don't know. Is your monkey like there?
Uh I think he displaces.
Okay. So, one, two. So, push back two. Then for each hit, which is two, in order you're going to cool down, restrain, and then choke three. So I don't know what restrain is. I know what cool down is. So you're going to um restrain. Delay all cards in your cooldown area. Move them to the delay area.
That's what I do. I think so. But for each hit, you're going to cool down. Oh, okay. I was like, why is that bad? So, cool down is you place one random card from your hand into the cool down area.
Okay,
random. I guess both of them are going to go in the So, you're going to cool down, then you're going to move all cards from your cooldown into your delay.
Oh, jeez.
And then choke three. So you can give them the choke condition.
You're choked. So you put on three and that's just see here. What's your You're at eight. So your your threshold's actually four now. So this is actually be a little bit higher because as you take damage it increases your thresholds.
Uh let's see. So it'll put you at three. So yeah, you'll be essentially right here. Yep.
So that's you essentially have one heat to your name.
Yep. Okay. And because you were hit twice, you're going to do that again. So you're going to go you're going to cool down your last card
and then you're going to put in delay.
This is level three.
This is a two.
Oh.
All right. And then for each hit, you're going to lose a vigor. However, your heat is at three. So you're going to lose two vigor instead. So you're losing four vigor total. So he this is the second attack.
This is his this is one card. So you rolled four dice
to evade. You evaded two of it. So you got hit twice,
right?
And because your heat threshold is at three, it's modified where you lose two vigor instead of just the one for each hit. So that's why you're losing four vigor.
Okay. I had already moved down my vigor too. So I need to actually move it down four is what you're saying. Yes. Yeah. Total. And then you're going to do a more draw.
Which one?
Uh what is you're at six?
So that'll be a major. Yep.
Yep. So you just draw the top of the major.
Smother. Delay all cards in your cool down area.
Okay.
No cards for you today.
If no if no card was delayed, suffer knockdown. Oh,
still doesn't even I was already [ __ ] up and done with this.
All right. And then after the attack,
there's more.
After the attack, Humpty Charge,
of course.
So, is it if he Oh, [ __ ] Okay. If the egg knight moves through or ends its movement on a knockdown knight, that knight ignores the crash and draws a judicium. So, he is Are you reacting?
I plan to.
Okay. You do? Uh, I will do my night roll. So, two heat and I get to reflex one. So, just get me out of the way.
All right. Yep. So,
that goes. This is a delay.
So, he is going to go one, two, three, four, five, six, and turn. All right. And because he moved through a knockdown target, which was you, you got to draw a judicium. Oh, [ __ ] So, which one? Left or right? Hey, against all odds, you survive.
I'm not dead yet, [ __ ] Awesome. Okay, but he's still running.
I like to imagine he's like running through him and just trips cuz he saw a statue,
stomps his toe. Uh, okay. Well, all things considered, that could have been a lot worse. Uh, you have no cards or anything to do that. Uh, more of the straw just gets discarded. Just put on the bottom.
Yeah. And now it's our turn.
Okay. Refresh. So, everything delay goes to cool down.
Yeah.
And I get one, two, three.
I have no card.
Nope. So, we have one, two, three, four. We have five wounds on him. Unfortunately, I can't get
So, we need 10 wounds.
Eight.
Eight wounds. Okay. So, three more. It's not too bad. What's next? There's a BB2.
Yeah.
Yeah. Unfortunately, I can't get to him.
You can't get to him?
I can only move four.
Oh, I got you, fam. Moving the pieces into place. Motivate one.
Let's move, right? Let's essentially so if it was like higher than one, you could distribute amongst the knights. So if I motivate three um you could move two and he could move one or something like that.
Okay, perfect.
Uh yeah. Yeah, we get
and I get to place little sir uh on any nightboard, monster sheet, or space adjacent to me.
Refresh their heat.
I did. Okay,
so I'm going to actually take him back on my shoulders.
Come here. That goes to cool down.
All right. So, you're going to motivate one.
Yep. So, yep, you can move.
Oh, that means I can get there.
All right. And then I
Should I open?
Uh, yeah. Go for it. All right.
Can opener.
Stay away from Stoneface
here. One more before you get going. Since you're going to leave me a bunch.
He's my lover.
So, it has to be empty for you get to get the benefit
when I attack. Yep.
Okay. Because like I can add something to the pool with a card.
Yeah, I think it's Yeah, when I attack.
Gotcha.
Uh, all right. Come on, baby. Give me that crit. Okay, it's still a hit. I'll take it. I shall take it onto his back armor slit. Okay. Okay. Okay.
So, you're giving him the reach around.
Yeah. I'm just fingering his black armor slit. just get in there. Um, okay. Well, let's um I mean it's going to be a black and a red.
Need a five, huh?
I do need a five,
you know.
I guess. Never mind.
Oh, I increase.
I should go next because I'm not attacking and I can give you my benefits.
Oh, sweet. Well, here's the problem. If I wound, he's going to charge.
I bet Here's the thing. I I should have gone first just so that I could cuz I'm not all I can do is get up basically and then um get rid of this choke and that's it. Can't even really move.
You know what? Yeah, I guess I guess yeah, we could say you went first, you stood up and then I can go cuz that's not going to put any tokens in the pool. So, I still will get my my tokens. You only get any of these benefits if you attack.
Yes.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yep. All right. So, that's not that's not bad.
This movement.
Yep. Okay. We'll just keep that one out cuz that seems to be He just keeps choking us. Oh, I'm almost there.
I only came so dying.
My greaves are soiled.
All right. I need a five. I have not.
I'm kidding. Mine doesn't work anymore.
Your monkeys does.
I mean, yield tiger.
Oh my god. One, two, three, four, five. There we go.
Dog. Nice.
So, finally wounded. I'm just like, uh, I did increase my my I was going to say fate, my heat. Um, so that's uh 1, two, three, four, five, six. So, so the overcome three means I would have needed go
over the threshold by three. Okay. Got it. Okay, that is that's still a wound. Um, so wound. Yep. He's going to Humpty Charge. Stupid. He's just been running back and forth. So, one, two, three, four, five, six. Right. He was here. One, two, three, four, five, six. And uh we're knockown suffering crash. I did still wound. So that was a two, meaning I'm putting a sexy little three in there.
And we lose a
Yes.
Yeah. I guess I shouldn't have got ready to choke and I should have just moved out of the way. Saw that coming. Uh I say it was a two. But the good news is is when Devon goes to attack him, um
I can't get to him.
You [ __ ] loser. Uh yes, you can. I can um have Roloff um motivate you.
Oh, you can motivate.
Mhm.
Sweet.
Hell yeah. I like being motivated.
Extra sausage.
I will leave uh behind a break. Two breaks. Um, actually, let's do Yeah, it's still going to be two breaks for my chipped axe, one opening, and what am I at? Five passion. That's hot. And two flesh. These uh look like if you if you get rid of this, it looks like nut sacks. Just wanted you guys to be aware of that.
It does.
Um, want you guys to know a little bit about who I am. Uh, okay. That is my turn.
Okay, I guess I can do all the heavy lifting over here.
Um, I hit him.
Uh, move three. All right. And it's hug. Hug is the ability I have. Uh, okay. Yes, I'm going to strike him with my sword. Let's Let's uh just to be clear though, if you Is he going to charge again? If you wound him.
Oh, [ __ ]
Hold on. I forgot.
He's going to charge me though. And I'm at a different
angle.
Okay, that's true. Okay. If he charges you, it's fine.
And I can
actually If you Yeah, if he charges you, he'll run into
cuz I can hug two with my next attack. So, I could actually have him go the complete opposite direction if I need to. Funny enough, he's going to lose the armor off his lowest body bar, which is a one. And I don't think there's any more ones left in the in the deck. Oh, no, there is. They're in the discard pile.
So, need fours or higher. There's a four and a seven. Two hits.
Nice.
Okay.
What do I hit?
You hit his armored gut. So, yes, to answer your question, Kyle, he is going to Humpty Charge regardless of what happens here.
Okay. So, in this window, I will hug two cuz I do have I might You're not going to have hit. Oh, I guess I'll hit the edge,
right? That's the important part.
All righty. So, what do I need? What's my threshold? Five. Yesesh. Two power. Oh, I actually get another power dice. One, two, three, four, and five, six.
Nice.
Got him.
Alrighty, baby. That's a wound. Well, so first things first. Okay, so he is wounded. One, two, that was a two, meaning that a uh two is going to become a three.
How many wounds does he have?
Seven. Now, two, three, four, five, six. Yep. Seven.
That means we just need to win him one more time.
Yep. Yep. That is correct, sir. These get shuffled in. Um, he is going to Humpty Charge and then that's the wound against him. So, he is then going to counter. Um, two
two bricks, one opening is what I'm leaving behind.
So, we're all going to be knocked down. One, two, three, four, five, six. Got it. Uh, yes.
No, Roloff's fine.
Oh, yeah. Rolloff is fine. I mean, he's already gone because I had him motiv.
Has he gone?
Well, I had a motivate. Um,
is that all he did? He can he attack still this turn?
Um,
if he's
Yeah. Am I supposed to use these like on my official turn then? Technically,
my turn.
I thought it was whenever.
Yeah, you can use them whenever.
Use these whenever. Okay.
Okay. So, whenever he um is about to move into a board edge, it stops, turns to face the most knights, and discards an armor token from the lowest BP level with armor tokens. Got it. So, okay.
Whenever he loses armor tokens as a result of Humpty Charge, draw the top grave more this card and place the column. Oh, okay. So, E9 here. Here. Can you please say column token there? Okay. I was like what?
I need to hit his ass one more time.
Yeah, we're going to kill him before he loses his armor.
Uh yes. Yeah, that's true. Um but hey, BP is now BP1 is easier to hit. Uh that is the third generic. So after that, he is going to now do his uh sword cut closest knight in front.
Can I stand up? I have the heat for it.
Yeah.
So, I'm going to [ __ ] do that.
All good up.
And then he's he is right behind me, isn't he?
Okay. Uh, three dice. He's doing his sword cut. [ __ ]
I can handle this.
Got to block one.
What is it? Nine higher. Yesesh. Well, I don't have any additionals, so that's it.
All right. What's your heat at?
Four.
You're going to lose two vigor for each heat or for each hit.
So, six. Okay. Down a zero.
All right. Um, that's a judicium, right?
Oh, boy. You live against all odds. You survive.
My second chance card. I was like, well, worst case scenario.
That's true. Okay. Well, uh well, what's nice about that is he's going to now Humpty Charge,
which means he goes one, two, three, four, five, and then crashes into that. So, you're knocked down. Um,
you'll have to draw a jiu-jitsu.
Uh, but he
I never even got a chance to get
Yeah. Uh, but he did run into an obstacle.
Um,
is that damage?
No. Uh, that's destroyed though.
So, it ran into his own armor and hurt himself.
And I guess you're displaced. So, he goes there. uh which means he will put another column in H3 right there. Uh so we have to listen to the H3H3 podcast. It's awful.
Uh all right. So he did that charge because
of my well
because at whenever he wounded he did his counter which means at the end of his move he does his sword cut signature
and after his final attack he uh he does Humpty Charge. It's like the third Humpty Charge it's hit me since like my turn. Oh my god.
Hell yeah. We'll just hang on with the red.
Uh, okay. So, Rolloff gets to go.
Oh, how what tokens are you leaving behind?
Uh, yeah. Two, uh, one opening in him, two breaks.
Well, and he can actually attack because he's within range now because charge. Go
finish him. Roll off.
Wound him. I got to hit a three
with your donkey stick.
All right, he got uh he rolled an eight. So that's a hit.
All right. So that is against Bam his armored heart. Okay.
Okay. All right. So it's a seven because this is a BP3.
Jesus Christ.
Um Okay. So he draws again and he gets the number. What was it? The his power value.
His power value which is a [ __ ] zero.
Oh [ __ ]
Oh, can't I do something to redraw? I spend a fate, right?
I think
two.
So no.
Um
fails.
I can spend I need a seven. Well, I can use I So I'm at two.
Two. He's potential three.
So you get up to five.
Yeah. Can I spend
four?
Is it one clue token or can I spend as many clue tokens?
Yeah, I'm just gonna say that. That's There we go. That's That's a wound.
We got him.
We We did it. I can't find it in the rule book if it says it just says spend clue tokens. Okay. Um so, yay.
We did it.
We did. We did it. It It's a very legitimate win. Um, okay. So, at the Where is it? Right here.
Yeah. Yay.
We cracked the egg.
Yeah, you guys. Let's Let's eat of this yolk.
Um, so um Okay, no death stat reset. Everyone resets their their stats.
Racing.
So, back to normal. Um, and their and their limits. Uh, return all technique cards back to your hand. Uh, each knight discards two Bane, discard all generic tokens, unexhaust all gear. If you won the clash, perform Clash, scavenge one, and scavenge three, which we did.
So, we get the full Clash loot then.
Yes. Yep. So, we will add a full clash.
Nice.
And we get the scavenge three. So, we can put in what do we think? Um, kingdom gear.
More kingdom. Um,
yeah, kingdom gear and an exhibit or kingdom gear in a consumable.
Sure.
Okay. Um, then we go to the story section. We won. So, we will go to 20. All right. With a final brutal swing, you crack the domed helm, downing the egg knight with a victorious battlecry. Yellow sap seeps from the fractured helm as the immense beast sags to the ground. The body slumps forward, that strange jointed jaw gaping open as saliva and that unsettling black slime oozes out. A triumph. You beam as you look to hold it, your sister already drawing her carving knife. The harvest will be plentiful, and perhaps this egg knight's corpse will yield new secrets to add to the flash hordan's vast collection of beastiaries and cookbooks. You should get a fire going. Perhaps this egg's thing slimy inards could make a decent omelette. After such a long trek here, your stomach is already running.
It's so humanoid, though. It's like,
right, I'm just like, yeah, just cracking open its actual head.
Anyone want some brain juice? I gain the the uh foyer cost.
Um so I gain
fittata I've ever had.
Uh and the egg lore card if I don't already have it.
Egg lore.
So I gain new peril and heroic arc and a new uh technique card.
Nice.
And gain the egg lore card if you don't already have it. So let's see what that is. Um, well, where's my where's my box? So, this was
the what did I say? Um, it was uh the fur cocky, where are you?
Tell me this egg lore. Um, well, whatever it's supposed to be. Oh, it's on the It's going to be on the back. Yep, there it is. Okay, so those flip and then my technique is fervid meal and passion fruit.
Okay, so for one uh fly, so one meal, if there is a fire token in the night pool, I gain a passion. That's during the combat. And then passion fruit is I can spend two uh meals during rest. All other nights may gain one passion because I give everyone passion fruit.
Oh, nice. Sweet.
And then why does
it taste like eggs?
Do we get armor?
Yeah. Well, we probably will with the uh the spoils. Um so that'll just go there. And then I gain the egg lore card if I don't already have it, which is going to I don't even know where that would be. Which might be monster gear. Maybe that comes in. Whoops.
That's the devil. Puppet king. Oh, egg knight. Okay. Um, the egg lore. I found it. So, I guess it has a charge for a heat. Place the top BP card at the bottom of the deck.
Okay. Is it like gear?
It is gear.
Oh, nice.
Yep. It looks uh Oh, yeah. There's the egg.
Cracked his uh That's pretty cool.
M.
And then I'll keep reading.
Oh, one charge.
Yeah. So, it's a one
provoke.
And then if we're in the principality of stone, I can I can provoke.
Oh, okay. So, that's just a a location specific.
Yep.
Nice.
So, that's pretty sweet. Oh, it comes with two charges
on it. Um, and that is a consumable. And then I will read 16.
So, you got a new ability card, an egg lure.
Yeah. Uh, new heroic arcs.
Oh, sweet. What's your new title? Um, well, I think it still stays. Um, yeah, I don't think my title changed. I think I'm still the Flesh.
Oh, got you. Gotcha.
All right. You begin the long trudge back to the border duchies, leaving the principality behind. As you emerge from the deep fog, you navigate long labyrinthine ravines of water slick black rock that shivers, oddly warm to the touch. The further you go, the harder it becomes to think about the way ahead or recall the path behind. It is almost like the maze itself wants you to say, impressing its will upon you. As you emerge from this mind warping maze, finally returning to the more familiar comforting world, you realize that you are not alone. The strange greenclad woman has latched onto your little troop. You question her further and she finally introduces herself. Fiona, the former crown princess of Utraband. still royalty technically, although it does not count for much these days. You press her about the sickness she mentioned earlier and you are so down with it.
There are a few names, the sweet starvation, the black hunger, the gnawing rot. Her people have taken to calling it the famishing. Afflicted creatures and people more recently fall into a crazed state of starvation. Victims of a hunger that cannot be quenched. The sickness spreads partly through being bitten. The black saliva carrying the the malady. Mostly though, it spreads through the corpses. Wherever those killed by the famishing lie, the sickness soon pollutes the land. I came looking for a flesh witch's aid, she confesses. Your grandmasters turned me away. I know of a flesh uh flesh horden hall in Utraband, lost to the mer. It's been seen again rising from the muck, and I need one of your order to help me gain access. Your guild has dealt with countless monsters before. Perhaps they've also dealt with this plague.
It's a bit of a long shot, you grunt. Even if we can't find the hall, who's to say it has the information you're looking for? We know this sickness is spreading in the principality. We should focus on dealing with that. More settlers will be heading into ice to reclaim it. We need to make sure they are safe. Hold meets your eye, and the two of you share another, more paranoid thought, better left unvoiced. Can you really trust the stranger with access to the libraries of one of your orders bastions? In the end, a compromise is made. One of you will go with Fiona to Utraband. The other will return to Eizervald to scour the sickness from the land. I get to choose. So I feel for the people of the principality. You really do. But the lore of discovery of adventure, it is too much. You can almost hear the praise you would receive. Even if uh not only discover but restore a longlost Fly Horden Hall to the order, I will go with Fiona to the sunken kingdom. or the possibility of digging up an old fly shr stronghold of finding lost secrets of the past is alluring, but you have a duty of care to the principality now.
More and more settlers will come this way, and if they are wandering into a plague zone, too many deaths. You need to burn out this infection before it spreads further. I will stay focused on ice involved and prepare for another expedition into the principality to hunt down anything infected by the famishing. H, what do you guys think? Hm. Adventure or famishing or or or plague resistance?
Yeah.
Well, going on your current uh direction, I think the exploration sounds more interesting.
Going with Fiona,
but your call.
Yeah,
cuz we're going to be doing one of our quest lines.
Yeah, we're gonna Yeah. So, I'm actually going to stick with Yeah. No, you're right. Yeah. I'm going to go with Fiona. Once my decision is made, Hold seems a little put out. Clearly, she wished for the chance to explore a new frontier, but with your insistence that you go, she agrees to keep her focus on the principality. Somebody has to, she grumbles, shouldering her share of the party supplies and marching onward. A twinge of guilt at leaving your sister to take responsibility while you go on a wild cockatric chase tugs at your mind. But you soon put such thoughts aside. You have a new goal now and the first uh sparks of excitement are beginning to take hold of the tinder of your heart. What lies ahead in mud choked utrabant. Mark three and proceed to the spoils phase.
Spoils which we will do the spoils phase off camera. Um and because this video is already going insanely long. Um, so yeah, that was the end of our very first full delve. Um, I hope you're enjoying. Stick around for the rest of the series. Like, comment, share, and subscribe, and have a wonderful whatever time of day it is for you.
