And at this point, you might be wondering, Seth, don't you hate this game? Um, 90% of the time, no. Yeah, 90%. So, we didn't even need to waste our time except just to say, "Oh, hey, we were just here."

Um, so we want to just teleport to Moonrise Tower or Yeah, the Moonrise Tower one just to help us get out of this area. I mean, yeah, we could also just walk like a little bit. Well, I'm sorry. I wanted to fast travel. The hell is happening? The hell? Okay, so sure. I went to teleport. I clearly clicked on it and it decided to just be like, "Hey, [ __ ] you. That didn't actually happen." Ah, that's fine.
That's okay. That happens a lot. I'm just going to do what I was originally planning and I'm going walk there. Lantern. So, we're not going to do it. But, uh, we need to just keep Shadow Heart far away from this area. Okay. Where we're going. I mean, that was the plan anyway. Yeah. Yeah. We got the dream team right here. We do have a dream team. This is a pretty pretty pretty good team. Mainly me, you and Asterion when he decides to hit and car. She's there. She's here sometimes.

So, if you meet the devil of which I speak, kill it. Consider no other course of action. And voice acting is uh is still topnotch, though. Yeah, the voice acting is really good. Okay, I guess I can try this insight. We'll see how tonight's going to go. I get plus one. It's a 10. I should get it. I'm gonna get a seven. Yeah, you're going to get a seven. Exactly. 10, which means I rolled a nine. This creature and I go back a long way. It's gone. I admit it would be in my best interest as well should it remain trapped in the dark. Egypt. Is that the one that it focuses on? like so or does this guy just happen to be linked to Asterion story? Yes and no. So yes, he's definitely linked to a Serion story. Like but he could also but like let's say if I was the one mainly talking to him, he would also pick on Carlac and go through and be like, "Hey Carlac, uh your chest, I can fix that."
Like that kind of stuff. So it does go off of your main companion that you choose to be with you. Gotcha. But like you have everyone If you have everyone on you, like it kind of just kind of it kind of just goes back and forth a little bit. Yeah. So, are you even able to finish everyone's every companion's story or Yeah. You uh I don't in the single playthrough. No, because some of them So, like since we're not doing since we're not messing with uh Lizelle's cuz we already skipped hers like her main part. Um, so like let's say we finished hers like cuz hers is in this weird 1.5 act in between two like right before we get here. I see. If we would have chose if we would have chose the mountain pass, that's where we would have gone before here.
Okay. And it's a very small itty bitty map that is just like there's like two little places and that's it. Gotcha. Um, but if we would have done that, we would have finished her whole side thing and like uh Shadow Heart would have been [ __ ] mad and then in this part like she'd be [ __ ] mad and like she gets angry. Okay. Um, yeah. So, it's one of those weird yes and no. Like you could if you really play your cards right and know how every piece of this game works. I see. Okay. Um, well, I think that's pretty cool for because I've Deon and I were actually talking about this the other day because he's been playing Cyberpunk and he was talking about open worlds that he just gets addicted and he combs through everything. Like when he played Elden Ring, he combed through everything and once he beats open worlds, he never goes back. Um, that's See, I'm the same way. I'm the complete opposite. Like I would much rather have my one playthrough and know I could go back and do more stuff.
Like I like the idea like like Skyrim like Skyrim's an open world playthrough game like um ish cuz it's very much like railroaded in a in a sense of it being open but not whoever you are leave. I shall carry out general form's will alone. Okay, shut up. Um, yeah, like I mean I I I don't just beline the main story. Like I I will do stuff that I feel is appropriate, but I'm not going to sit there and comb through everything. Like for example, what you just mentioned for Balders's Gate 3, like I'm not going to try and do every single person's side quest. I like the idea of doing another play through and be like, I'm going to have, you know, Will this time. Oh, that's funny that we both thought the same person.
Uh, I know everyone seems to [ __ ] on Will. I actually like him the most. I do too. I do too. I I do like Will. Uh, and then we completely abandoned Gail. Burns everywhere. We did. We left him. I was like, dude, I know. Oh, man. Like Eststerion hits on you a lot, but Gail is something else. That's So Gail's story is actually my favorite out of all the companions. Oh, really? Yeah. Interesting. I am very intrigued by cuz it's kind of interesting how he he seems to hate being a vampire and that he was forced to be a vampire in his master, but yet he acts just like him.
Oh, yeah. Yeah. It's like Yeah, wait until later. Like act three is like when his story actually takes off. Gotcha. Um I think uh yeah, I do like this area. Um so I'm pretty sure Lizelle's is area one. Um, and then there's You're just running over all of them. Okay. Um, now I'm going to say like uh Oh, this [ __ ] room. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm disarming one of the marble plates. So that All right. What now? I think this this room killed me and Ally on our playthrough like three, four times.

The one thing I wish about this game, and maybe it's all behind the scenes stuff that it doesn't immediately tell you, but like it really seems like nap ones and 20s don't do anything. No, they don't. Like they they really honestly don't. Be careful. There are traps. Okay. Just in case we fight something here, I don't want to step on. Yeah. Yeah. Critical success. Cuz like for example, lockpicking. I really feel like a NAT 20 for lockpicking should not use up the lockpick.

Yeah, cuz whenever I'm disarming like these traps, it's not like I have I don't think I've used uh trap disarming kit the whole time. An open tomb. Okay, empty. There we go. Not ominous. I I don't Yeah, I don't remember the combination, but like there's that one where you're standing um at the front and then there's two back here in the back. So, there's uh Moonrise Tower Elaf. Okay. So, just translate that for me real quick. Yeah, I got it. Uh sarcophagus before Oh, yeah. There you go. Brought her back.
Um, so on the the wall is grief, moonrise towers, and general. So I don't remember. You know what? I'm going go ahead and say grief and then general and then moonrise towers. Like just in this room. So, all right. All right. So then maybe so when you click one they the the picture lights up and the moonrise tower one wasn't lit up. So you want moonrise towers grief and then the general. Okay. Okay. I was thinking it was like grief like I guess. Oh, there we go.

I wish that game going by the design. I'm inspired. God, that'd be so funny if for no reason at all and it's only once and there's like a one in one billion% chance that happens or something where it pulls a Looney Tunes moment. That's funny. That'd be really cool. That'd be one of those really cool Oh, this didn't go anywhere. Yeah. Are you sure? Really cool. Oh, there's 37 gold right here, though. Nice. I also think it'd be really funny just randomly throughout the game, like you can check one skeleton and there'd be like there'd be like 2 million gold in something like that. Some insane amount. And it's RNG, so it's it could be any skeleton in the game.

Offer your pain to Sha's embrace. Hear the night song. All right, Shadow Heart. Come on. You're the SH person. Okay, this room, this puzzle is fun. Is that sarcasm? Is it actually not fun? Nope. Man, imagine how exhausting it would be to actually be like a thief that lockpicks and stuff where you're like constantly being needed. I'm breathing. Oh yeah. Yeah. Especially like if you're in a place where you know it's like full of traps and like people just don't care.

So, one of the re one of the ways that I got past this is I literally unequipped uh Asterion and then had him just go through and do this whole thing by himself. That's not a bad idea.

It The companions remind me of like the companions in Fallout where they're just kind of jank and they do Yeah, I think the same thing about like Skyrim. Yeah, like they're just like there like these guys are I'm trying not to trigger these traps, but Oh, you just had a mind of your own. Okay. And that should be all of them now. I don't I I think I this game is like if you've been in an abusive relationship for years, just got your ass beat every [ __ ] day and then you get in a relationship with someone who hits you once a month and you're like, "It's not so bad."
