Hey everyone, welcome back to War Games Unlocked and Devon and I are continuing Kingdoms Flororn. We back
uh just started the first quest for the flash ritter. We are in still in the progress of that one. On hour four, we had our double encounter back to back. I had kind of learned how that goes. Uh, overall extremely simple, which is very nice. Those cards, those encounter cards make it look way complex. It's like, gez, there's a lot of text, but it seems pretty straightforward. So, hoping to get to the ex exhibition uh the first exhibition clash. Um, but let us continue, shall we? Um, do you want to go left? Oh, you well you keep want to keep getting green, so we'd have to keep going.
Need one more green.
One more to be to be happy. Um Okay. Um we can
But if it's going to threaten us up, I mean,
oh, it'll go up by two. And we'll lose resilience once it hits five.
So lose resilience once it hits five.
Yep. So, I mean, we could I mean, chances are you'll get a green.
Sure. Go 14 then.
All right. So, gain a time.
I don't I'm going to throw a huge fit.
And okay. Uh, which will be right there.
Wasn't there a story section on that?
Oh, there was. Yeah, 4. Yeah, I forgot about the story stuff. So, 4723 potentially for me. 4723. Oh. Um, I'm like, what? Okay. The cobbled street ahead has split open. Dozens of tiny rifts stretching wide as tendrils of black bark uh emerge from the soil beneath like a horde of ink black worms. The roots of some kind, reaching, teasing, questing for nutrients to feed a larger plant somewhere nearby. You can almost feel their hunger, a ravenous gnawing deep in the pit of your stomach. It wouldn't be a good idea to allow them to touch you. You give them a wide birth and press on.
There's nothing for you here. I'm just like, get away from those. Can't cook those.
Yeah.
And what was yours?
Uh, so it be 4737.
Um, yeah. 4737.
Nice. The crowd of statues presses in close to the water's edge. A throng rushing to escape from in inescapable doom. The stone turned bodies are packed in so tight you can't get through them. Little sir leaps from your shoulder to scample across the petrified heads, but soon returns with nothing to show for it. You should keep moving. There's nothing here for you.
To the devil.
All right, that's kind of interesting.
Yeah, I do like that. depending on who's who's in the party.
Mhm.
Um I'm trying to remember what I mean the 18 I know is for the is for the expansion. I can't remember what these two arrows and the seven mean. Oh, shortcut. I think that's a shortcut that you can do.
Oh, shortcut 27.
27.
Oh, okay.
Um yes, I am 95% positive that that is the shortcut icon. Um, let me just make Yeah. 33. Yep. Shortcuts are a special type of path. Oh, we can't use them unless we have a certain game element, gear card or mercenary that allows us to use them.
Oh, gotcha.
I do remember reading that now. But yes, so I guess that is there is a potential way to go from three to seven.
Okay. Is there exploration card or
Yes. Stone Wish Shrine. Each knight may gain two heat to roll a dieice and resolve an effect corresponding to the result.
If you roll a 10, you gain your chosen clue token.
Oh, [ __ ] yeah.
Eight to nine, you may gain Oh, you can't even gain two heat. Oh, yes, you can. We increase the the limit. Um, raise your heat limit by one. Six to seven. Four to five, you gain a vigor. Two to three, you lose a vigor. If you roll one, you get a bane.
Ew. I'll do it.
Gross. Okay, here's my 10.
Bam.
It's a four. You gain health.
Sweet.
Gain it bigger.
I also did it five. I gain a bigger, which I can't. I meant max bigger. All right. But no, no clue token. Well, unfortunately, the only way that we can keep going is uh this way through that. Um, unless you have a thing that allows you to use a shortcut during rest. I don't want to. We're not in a rest. During encounter, not an encounter. I guess I could add to the result. No, I I didn't have the heat and I don't want to get
So, did someone gain a clue by moving in that spot?
Nope.
Nope. short uh the the clue I the the clues are this and short uh cards or small cards short cards small cards don't have those.
Okay.
So, nope. Um
okay.
But there is potential because someone's going to Well, no one needs blue apparently, but if the minor uh card points up then someone would uh people would gain their their green by going to here. Unfortunately, that's the only way we can go unless we backtrack. Um,
Gotcha.
So,
I mean, would it be better to backtrack?
Backtracking increases threat.
Yeah. Well, two spaces.
Going more than two spaces. Yeah, you're right.
So, if we went one, it'd be time loss.
Yep.
But then going there would be time and threat like traditional.
Yes.
So, I I don't know. Whichever you think.
I say just keep moving. Keep trucking onwards.
Find old [ __ ] 17 wherever that is.
Um Oh, I guess you could have checked to try and get it
again until these come back.
Why?
Oh, that's true.
Like you
I don't know why in my head I I I can only do it when I use that check, but like yeah, I could do a sagacity check whenever.
Unless we think it cost me anything or I just do
we just get to do it unless we want to keep it at 17. Well, if we can get one that's already on the board,
wouldn't that be the best? Or is it
It can't be one that's already on the board because we only pull from the deck and the cards are already here.
Gotcha. Well, that's just as shitty as 17.
Yeah, I mean I
I can do one. Um, so I need eight. So, seven or better.
Okay. Um so Hanzahal Hanzahal which is uh yes. Okay. So that is going to be 10 um 10 and 13 15.
Yes. So 15 down there and 13 right.
So if we go up we can get a green.
We might get a green now. So um yeah. So that was we went left so no one needs a blue and then it is a blue again. So nothing there at the Hanza hall. Then we have our exploration. Light in the tunnel. Place this card in the active effects area. Praise the Princess Cassia miniature on a random path leading from your current kingdom tile. If you follow that path, lose one threat. If you choose a different path, discard this card and the princess Cassia miniature. Repeat this process at the start of the exploration step for the next two delve rounds. Then discard this card and the miniature. Well, that's nice.
Oh, so rescue princess. Uh, the Princess Cassia miniature, which is a saint.
Is she?
I Or maybe it's not. Maybe it's Oh, here we go. Cassia, omenspoken princess. Yeah, her.
Oh [ __ ] Okay,
so her. And so I need to find her miniature, I guess. which is over here. Oh, luckily
nice.
Set onto a random location. Right. Place the Princess Cassie Mer on a random path leading from your current kingdom tile. Okay, this way. So, if we follow that way,
we lose the threat.
We lose the threat.
We net the same. That's true.
And there's clue potential over there. So, I'm I'm down.
Yeah.
What's the one? So, we get a point of interest. One.
Um, it's one. Um,
I chose knight devotes.
I think it's
or is it four plus the one?
It's not the four. It's I think it's one plus the number on the next card, which is zero. So, it's one. So, a chosen knight devotes.
Okay.
Uh, roll off.
Nine. Nine. Oh my goodness. Eight.
Seven.
Nice.
So, what can we use these tokens for?
That's how you gain access to saints, which are kind of like the
enough of them and we can do it or
I believe so. There's so many rules.
No, I know. I know. I
um devote. Oh, yeah. gaining saints on 68. So when the game element instructs you to gain a saint, gain a chosen unlock saint card, sometimes you will be instructed to gain a specific saint instead. In that case, unlock that saint. Um, devote to name. Gain the saint name card. If you don't already have it, then gain a devotion token. You may gain devotion tokens without having a saint card. Once you gain a saint card, the previous gain devotion tokens are moved onto that saint card. Um, I think you can do their abilities based off how many saint cards you have.
So it might or not not saint cards, how many devotion tokens you have. Like Saint Hyia has like a like for if you have zero devotion. So the saint cards have like a a rule that you must um follow. Like Saint Hyia says you cannot backtrack except by using a technique.
So this is a rule that you have and you can actually you can it's a commandment. Sorry. You can break it once. M
um but then if you break it again,
they leave.
But for example, if you have zero devotion, uh during the travel step, you may move through shortcuts.
Oh, okay.
Uh if you have one devotion on a full myth, you do not clear the nightpool.
So depending on how many tokens you have, so they're probably not going to do anything for us until we have same cards that we can unlock, right? Um but um but yeah so Hanzahal Hanzahal I think uh that is I think that's it for here.
Okay.
Um so I mean if we go south
we lose one.
We're going to lose one. Um
is this princess worth? Uh, I mean, she just helps us lose um lose uh threat. In that case, she's just going to help us not gain threat by going this way. If we go south, if we go south, then she goes away.
Gotcha.
And the light in the tunnel. So, it's a matter of if we choose to follow her and just make it a break even threat. Um it also depends on which uh encount because we have not had a rotation on on that. So if we go here, we will fight the ratman again
at the correct level.
If we go if we go south, we will fight uh the the slippy worms or whatever they were called.
Slippy worms. The pale blood worms.
Oh, that's right. The pale blood worms. Well, we won't fight them, but like uh we'll have an encounter.
Yeah. I mean, I like the idea of the clue over there, too.
Um,
over here.
Yeah.
I mean, it'll be a yellow, which I guess you would have a
So, okay. So, it's based on the direction that the current one is showing.
Yes.
So, by going there, it will be a yellow.
Yes.
Okay. Gotcha.
Cuz you you when you travel, you activate all the stuff on the back of the card first.
Okay. Then I want to go down.
Okay. So, she's going away.
That way, we just net lose threat.
Um, okay. So, we're going south, which will uh lose a threat. Um, there's your third green.
Oh, really?
It's south.
Nice. Oh, there's a clue there.
Oh, there's not. You're right. Yeah, you don't get [ __ ] Aha. Okay, so there's that. Um, it is a triple panzer gate, so we would need three keys.
Oh, gross.
We have two.
And we could lose a resilience to gain a third one.
Well, it's just a that one direction is a triple.
Yeah. Yeah. Going left.
Oh.
Um, are I really want to go left?
There must be something fancy over there.
It's a large three. So, that goes there. And um would you be ever so kind to start lifting scooting that all forward? This is the one thing about recording this [ __ ] that I absolutely despise is this type of map stuff. is because it's constantly this.
Yep. Okay. Well, that didn't that didn't end up helping as much as I thought it would. Um but yeah, so then we have 12 here and then I kind of want to do it.
It's not your [ __ ] people.
Oh, that's just my vote.
Three threat though.
Yeah. Oh, so that'd be two resilience loss because we'd hit five threat. Um, oh, and well, let's see what even happens here. Stone curse. Gain one stone key. Oh, that's funny. That's great. Um, determine X + one random paths leading from your current kingdom tile where X is your curse level. We don't have any curse. Um, if you do not gain clues for following those paths. If there is no clue available on any path, the random knight um gains one Bane token. Cool. We don't have any curses. Oh, it was X. Oh, okay. So, one random path leading from your current uh tile. So,
okay. So, if we go down
Well,
it would be a yellow
left. Oh, [ __ ] Okay. So, if we go left, which is where the stone gate was, we do not gain um No, that's the wrong one. That's discarded anyway. So, yeah, if there is no clue token on any path. Got it. All right. So, if we go left, we don't gain any clues going here because of the stone curse.
Ew. Or what clues, though? So then go down. So then it would be a yellow.
Oh, I think I
Or would it be a green if we go down?
The orientation confuses me.
So just imagine it's it's oriented.
So it be green.
No, it's yellow.
It's yellow.
You know how I can read that and I can read all this? It's it's the way it's facing me.
Oh, okay. Gotcha. Gotcha. Um, so it's it's yellow, but we did gain our third key, so we don't actually have to lose resilience, but yeah, it's three threat.
I don't want to go there if we're not getting three clues out of it.
I mean, I don't need clues. I just
Oh, yeah. I mean, I guess you want to eat the threat.
I definitely Yeah, I definitely don't want to eat the threat. But I mean three. Um I have a feeling we're going to have to go there anyway.
I mean yeah it's a big spot. It sounds thematic.
Um
what's the um what's that um what's that symbol?
This one that is for deep fog.
Deep fog
stuff. I believe that's how many cards you have to draw if if you're if we're trying to go from the deep fog which we could at any point. Like let's say we wanted to go to number four. That five would be our target deep fog
card draw. Gotcha.
Um I did read those rules, but again it's under page rule book and I'd have to refresh.
So we could defog to 17 with a six.
The card has to be on the board.
Yeah. Okay. The card has to be on the board then. God what? Why don't you understand about turns off? We're going to talk about this. Come back with the black eye.
We're in a sling. have those comical like uh those wide head like where they tied it around to keep like the ice pack.
Oh god. Yeah. Like a neck break.
We look like what was his name? Jimmy from Ed and Eddie.
Okay. Feel like there was a bunch of stuff that happened. Um all right.
Uh where you want to go, man?
Um I mean I would
It is your story.
I definitely want to keep Oh, well. Did I advance the time?
Dude, I don't know. I don't remember if I No, I didn't because I depending on where we went was where we were fighting in the encounter. So, we're at seven. Um, so we have an encounter in the story step because there's nothing else there. Um, so pop this bad boy off and we fighting worms. Williams. Uh, that was an anchor, I believe. Oh, wait. Yes, it was an anchor. Uh, yes, it's going to be
pale blood worms.
Pale blood worms.
They go.
Oh, let's see how many we have. Those are the pale blood worms. Number one. Okay. Yes. Two of them.
Two pale blood worms. It is not an ambush.
Okay, here they go.
So, a sword and a
a double sword and a sword chalice.
So, we could So, double sword. We could put it here.
He'll probably face either this way or that way. Odds are both are equal for both. So, because he'll target these two spaces.
Oh, yeah. There's two. Yeah, you're right. You're right.
Okay. And then the twofer. Um, we could reduce their overall coverage and have him face like that.
Or the two swords.
Yeah. But then it's going to reduce our likelihood of Is there even is there a blank on the red? If we I guess if we're ignoring the
Guess you could do this.
Yeah. Yeah, that's true. Okay. And then where we land. Okay.
So, I'm there.
Okay. Bianca, she go got a blank
and roll off also got
I don't want to be turned. How bad is the hit?
One.
There's one damage
bigger. Yeah.
Awesome. Uh, she can just help. Um, and then for
anyway, helping she doesn't offer anything.
Oh, you're right.
There's nothing under her space.
Yep. Then she can take the legs in. Yeah, take the lick. Come on. Let me lick you.
Um, double for my boy.
Double sword.
No, but or there are two symbols.
Okay.
So, he can be a helper.
Okay. Um, so they're going to attack. Oh, actually, I didn't even think about that. I'm also going to get hit.
Yeah, both of them lose one. Ouch. Ouch. Okay. Well, I mean, I guess I'll help Bianca and she'll try and kill that one.
Okay.
Um, so I guess I'll get an opening and a break and a draw from Squire Metal. And I need a six or higher or five or higher with that.
Roll a five.
Nice.
And I deal. Uh,
what am I looking for?
Two power.
Two power.
How many potentials can you use? What do I need to reach?
Three.
Three. Two potentials. And I have one. We have one in the bank. So that's enough.
All right. Sweet. So that's a that's a scrape, which means she will kill this one.
Yeah, that's the discard pile. All right. And my turn. I will have He will help. That's one of each. So then it is my one die. I need a five or higher. There's a sweet ass two. heating up.
There we go. That's an eight. And um that is going to be a red and a black. I need a three.
There we go. With the Yep.
With the help. That's three.
Nice. Man, that's a lot easier than the the eight we needed to hit and the the So, that's two scrapes. Two knights may refresh one. Place a break token in the night pool.
Refresh one. refresh a card.
Oh, nice.
I have not used any. So,
yeah, I will take this one big time.
Um, and we place a break token in the night pool, which I think Yeah. So, just one break token in the night pool, not for each night. All right. Good deal. Are these yours?
Good deal. Sweet. Probably should just keep those counters out, but Okay. I was just looking through cuz it's like all those said mob and I'm like, what the hell does the number mean? Ah, and we are back here. Oh, and one chosen character can um uh gain a marshall. Yeah, one night in the party may gain one marshall clue.
Okay, I can't really use them.
You can use them whenever we're drawing these. They're mainly going to be used, I think, to gain leads for them to increase the marshall
um the marshall deck or the the squire medal.
Oh, gotcha. Sure.
Um but
two and two.
And then we'll get to eight, which uh I believe at the start of the story step, if your time is eight, see 004. Um,
how many people are dead?
Uh, so far we've been keeping them alive. Um, and I say we just head south and keep keep the threat low.
Uh, so one time
rest
and then that is going to be one yellow. So, there's a yellow for you and yellow for her.
Hey, 17.
Oh [ __ ]
Told you they were this way.
Yeah, you've just been like talking out. You're like, I swear they're this way. And you're like, I have no idea where they're at. Um And then five is down there. I'll just put that in later. Uh but we are at two. Um yeah, advance the time onto that. Uh oh, exploration. Ah, rat wolves. Okay. Uh yes, place this card in the active effects area. Then place a generic token on a random direction of the card. If you travel in direction with a token on it, each knight loses minus X where X is four minus number of tokens on this card. Then discard this card.
So we are going to place one on south. So if we go south, we lose bunch of damage.
Um, luckily we don't have to go south yet. So story step, there's a point of interest. two plus one. So that's three.
Signs of struggle. Scavenge one.
Nice. We have a kingdom gear in there.
Yeah.
Uh what do we think? I kind of like Oops.
Want an upgrade?
Yeah, I was kind of thinking upgrade. Go for it. Um, and then story step. Yes, if at the start of the story step, uh, if your time is 8, C 004, the caravan trudges onward until at last you find a reasonably sheltered place to make camp. What was once a town square surrounding a well, long since dried up and surrounding a well, long since dried up and choked with rubble and waste. The looming shadows of former uh homes crowd in on either side, a sinister presence, but one that provides a wall against the chill night winds and a barrier between you and some of the knights denisens. If you have resilience plus for if you have four plus resilienc 005.
We do.
In spite of the oppressive surroundings encroaching upon you at every turn, the sheer weight of the sagging buildings and the hollowess of the streets. The mood within the caravan is one of stoic determination. Soon the campfires are burning brightly and one of the refugees finds a water source nearby that hasn't totally run dry. M
you gather what you can and boil it, ignoring the thick calc uh calciferous residue that gathers in the bottom of your cauldrons. Everything, even this meager water, is choked with dust. As you settle for the night, a monstrous snarling fills the air. Piles of rubble shift. Ancient wooden doors shiver and collapse, and shadows flit through the streets and across the rooftops. The netzens, the denisens of the principality have found you. One chosen knight may reset their heat to zero. Proceed to an exhibition clash. If you win, see 008. Otherwise, see 0019. Um, you're maxed out.
I'm not maxed out. Looks like
um, let's see. I did not put any flesh on my stuff. Um, why don't you go ahead and take it? You seem to
We could roll. I mean I mean I'd be okay with a roll off if you want to do that.
I mean I have a heat heat you know uh thing refresh of three.
Okay.
So
sweet.
So yeah we are there and now we will set up for the exhibition clash. Um so which I believe let me just double check. I'm sure it's just whatever is on our spot, which would be the worms, cuz it didn't specify what we're fighting. Um, but let me just double check. Um, yeah, exhibition clash. Unless it's unless it's in Clash. Yeah, exhibition 11. Hey, love him.
Okay. Uh, that did not that told me what an exhibition was not. So, Clash Clash setup. Okay. 44. Um,
so how I mean I'm pretty sure it's just yeah, whatever is on is in the location that we're at. Kind of like the encounters. When you locate the correct clash setup in the respective kingdom coast, you can begin preparing. Okay.
When instructed to resolve a clash, unless directed to a specific page, find the clash setup corresponding to the particular monster you're facing. Most commonly denoted by the encounter monster token on the district wheel corresponding to your current district. Yep. So that would be the principal uh the yeah the anchor district. It actually says port district is where we're at. So I think
yeah, I'm going to assume that it is. It's a Okay. When a wound is left to fester, it begins to stink and fills with maggots. Mankind's sin is a similar wound. Its profanity is stench that would offend even the all father's patience. And within that wound the maggots are clear for all to see. From the sermons of the heretic father Ambrose of Christ. Pale blood worms. The mere mention of their name is enough to give a physician pause. All too often the doctors and saw bones of the border counties are forced to amputate limbs that have been gnaw on by the writhing menace. Their venom turning crimson blood into pale milky pus and setting a rot deep in the flesh.
The worms have become more widespread, burrowing under the land to spread out in all directions. Their prediliction for blood would suggest they hail from Echin, a possible byproduct of the grotesque holy rights of the sanguine theocracy, but nobody can say for sure. All you know is that the ground under your feet ripples from the passage of a dozen bloated serpentine bodies. Predicting where they will come to surface will be a challenge, and you must beware their venomous bite. Um, all right. Um, yeah, there's only four, luckily, which is which is nice. A there's Hey, those blood tokens are going to come in handy.
Hey,
so clash setup. Let's go. Let's do it.
Okay.
All right. We are all set up for our very first official clash
um against the pale blood worms. So, they have quite a few traits. One, they're uh six to hit.
Um,
fair enough.
Seven wounds to kill. Uh, it starts with one wound, so six to to win. Uh, one AI and one signature. They have blood rush, it sucks, blood bath, and subterranean menace.
So, blood rush, start of clash. Each knight places five blood tokens on their night board. So those uh yep just each one of us uh gets gets five of them.
Okay.
If at any point there are more than five blood tokens on your nightboard, immediately discard all excess tokens. If at any point there are no blood tokens on your night board, you bleed out unless you are incarc uh in uh incarnated. Incarn incarnated. Incarnated.
What?
Incarnated. Okay.
I N C A R N A T E D.
Okay. Looks like we are going to need to use the two two for side. I was going to try to not do that.
Thank you.
You struggle figuring out how to put five tokens on your
I was trying to give everyone five individual tokens, but
it wasn't enough. Yeah. Gotcha. Okay. All right. There you go. All right. So, that is Blood Rush. Um, it sucks. They have suck X.
Suck.
Suck X. It's suck boy pale blood. Uh, so suck x. Move x blood tokens from the target or the attacker onto this pale blood worm's BP card. Uh, they have a blood thing. Blood gates on AI and BP cards refer to the number of blood tokens on the corresponding mob. Got it. So, um, so they have like their blood slash on the, uh, on their signature is they move an attack and I guess if that particular mob has one or more blood rush or blood token on it, you roll one more die and then they suck one for each hit. Lose one vigor and then apparel. And if you have two or more or if they have two or more on it, um, knock down and then they suck one. So, we're just getting sucked.
Okay.
Blood bath. Whenever a pale blood worm with blood token dies, distribute the tokens among knights in zone X, where X is the amount of those tokens. If there are no eligible tokens in the zone, discard those tokens. During escalation, if there are no more cards in the escalation decks, place a blood token on every card on the mob track instead. I would There's gonna be Well, I guess yeah, there's going to be um escalation cards.
Okay, so now that we know that,
then there is subterranean menace. When a pale blood worm dies, finish resolving the current action, then spawn a new pale blood worm outside the clash board. When a pale blood worm outside the clashboard is about to activate, place it on the pale burrow terrain tile closest to the priority target. And then burrow X, place the pale blood worm on the designated pale blood tile, where X is the number shown on that tile. Okay. Um, yeah. So that's that's them. So if we ever lose our five blood, they sucked us dry. Um it was the best time of our lives and uh and but yeah, but then we die.
And then they have basically the if they have blood tokens on their actual um BP card, then they're going to have special things that happen. Okay. Um
so yeah. Okay. So this this gives them blood tokens.
Okay.
If they're on it. And if we are on it, we lose blood equal to our passion. Okay.
So, if you want to swap with me because you start with one passion. I have zero passion. So,
yeah,
I'm not warmed up yet.
You were all chubbed up from that hunt.
Yeah, that encounter I had earlier. Yeah. So, all right. Uh, ruined wall seems to when it's destroyed, it turns into rubble terrain tile. It's destructible, obscuring an obstacle. Um, so all similar stuff. You crash into it, gets destroyed. you um or you can put knock back into it, you um suffer crash and yeah, so um very beginning of the round they go. So,
okay,
number one.
So, one AI
swarming bite. Um okay, let's see. Uh targeting knight with the least blood tokens.
That it's all equal. It is all equal. Also need to find the priority target which is go. I have one heat or one passion. So I think that's going to be me.
Yeah. So
yep. So it is three dice. One, two, three. Yeah. Move and attack. Um I guess I could react, but there's uh no reason to. Um yes. Okay. Yeah. For each hit lose one vigor. So nine or higher. All right. So uh two vigor loss and that is a peril. That is going to be a minor.
Should eat it. Conserve the nutrients. Keep it in the cycle.
Um, oh god. Okay. Uh, stone spell. Uh, perform a curse save. Curse level plus two. Okay. So, two. Got it. Uh, yeah. Nothing. Bane X, where X is the number you failed to save by. So, I could have got a [ __ ] ton of Bane if I failed that. And this doesn't have anything. Um, for each hit. Yeah. Lose a vigor. Oh, suck one.
So, does he suck you off?
He does. Which is going to put it on number one.
If I had two blood tokens, it would uh repeat this attack.
Brody. And then after final attack, it's going to burrow seven. Place it on the designated pale burrow tile. So, they don't have numbers though. Oh, they did in the setup.
Oh, they did. Okay. I was like, what? Why aren't they on the tiles?
Okay. So, then it's going to burrow to number seven. Got it. I see. I see. I see. Okay. So, it's going to then burrow over here.
Okay. Nice.
Would it You think it'd be easier to grab those number tokens or just keep looking? I can I can bookmark this. It doesn't.
Yeah.
Won't hurt anything. Okay. So, that was the AI. Now, we're doing blood slash for number two.
Okay. So, it starts there. It gets a blood token.
Oh, great.
From the supply, I'm assuming.
Yeah.
Okay. Will you move that signature over to number four? Nice. Closest knight with the most blood tokens.
Oh, the most. That's probably going to be her.
Uh, it is uh tied because it could have also been him. But yeah, let's get him off that that geyser. Okay, so she uh there's the squire medal. It is going to be three dice. Uh actually, it's going to be four dice, but I think they just draw the Yeah, they draw the one.
Oh, okay. So, two evaded.
Two evaded. All right, so that's two hits. So, they're going to suck one. So, it's gonna put one on there.
And then for each hit lose uh one vigor,
one bigger. Oh,
and then no peril. They don't draw peril. Um that's blue. Two blood tokens on there though.
Yep.
That sucks. Knock down.
O
suck one
again.
Yeah.
Nasty. They get it.
Yep. All right. And then after the attack, roll a dieice and perform burrow X, where X is the result rolled.
Okay,
so roll a dieice and see where it's going.
One.
Number one. That thing yehawed out of here.
These [ __ ] are kind of rough.
All right, that was it, though. So, it's it is now our turn.
Okay, let's [ __ ] bastards.
Yeah, refresh. Everyone refreshes. Refresh. Refresh number two, huh, man? That one re That's sucks. That's the one with the most hidden.
I guess it's kind of out of the way now.
I mean, they [ __ ] get to us whenever they fight. So,
Oh, yeah. They don't have a movement.
I mean, can they That's right. They don't. Um, all right. Guess we're just killing [ __ ] Um, so knockdown. I can spend two to stand up. Okay, sweet. Sweet. Does that mean I still get the act or
um
or it's just a heat cost to stand up?
I uh Well, I mean I can look at the key. I mean, I don't know if stand up is like a key word, but
Oh, no. It just says stand up to heat. So, yeah, just a price.
I I would assume that you would just get to stand up for the cost of two heat.
I like that. A lot better than losing a [ __ ] turn.
That's true. Um, well, since she's currently at zero passion, and I'll just have her go and [ __ ] uh ice this one real quick.
Okay.
Sneak up on three. Bianca the the sturdy knife. Um, and she's going to stab at it. So, to hit I need
You need a 17. You have six.
Six. Okay. So, I have a break token.
You have those. And now this is where you can use um clues
if if the based on the card.
Based on the card, you can also spend a heat to redraw.
Okay,
I roll a 10.
I don't think that's a crit,
but yeah,
but it is. Yep, that's a hit.
Okay, so then we need hits landed one or power two.
Power two. Oh, sorry. We needed to look at the BP on number three.
You're attacking three. Three.
Oh, you're right. P. I needed I got power two.
How many potentials can you use?
One. Just enough.
Just enough. Nice. All right.
Hey, with two plus wound.
So, what's is that? Two blood.
Can't see it.
Mine.
Yeah. Okay. So, that was its postulated blood worm. Hey, it looks like Brat's kidneys.
Uh, that's disgusting. Okay. So, if you wounded it, if this card had two blood on it, she'd get knocked down.
Gotcha.
Um, you didn't fail, you didn't crit, uh, you did overcome, so that is a power.
Nice
in it. This becomes a wound. Um, then we will escalate. I think I Where was the Didn't
I have it do when uh
Good work be God. She's just like covered in nasty blood as it burst.
Oh, here it is. Swarming. Okay. I was like, what the hell? Okay, so that's in the discard pile. One. Okay. Got it. Got it. Got it. Got it. But um it doesn't it didn't have any blood tokens, right?
No, it didn't.
Okay. Okay. So, this is in the discard.
Okay. I leave an opening token.
Okay. I need to figure out something about like cuz it's like I have all this stuff that's like impeding on my [ __ ]
Um but so there are no blood tokens. When a pale blood worm dies, finish resolving the current action. Okay. So, you leave an opening.
Yeah.
Okay.
Did you increase her passion?
I did.
Okay.
Then spawn a new pale blood worm outside the clashboard. So, that we'll just say that one's spawning. When a pale blood worm outside the clash war is about to activate, place it on the pale burrow terrain tile closest to the priority target. Okay. Uh, nice. Which is currently me still. All right. And then it would get a BP2. So we'll just put that there. But it's not going to activate. That one would um Oh, no. It will activate. Okay.
Total spawn and activate.
Uh yes, when it is a about to activate, placing the pale blood pale burrow terrain tile close to the priority target.
Okay.
Okay. Sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet. So
that was Bianca.
I could go after four.
Yeah. I mean, I can send um my my guy
who's been sucked.
Bianca's been sucked hard.
Yeah. Yeah, she has.
Not to mention, she's going to lose another starting there now that she has passion.
Oh, yeah. Um, well, you could couldn't Does she have a reflex?
Uh, she do at the cost of two heat, which I don't have.
Off. Gotcha.
Well, yeah, she's taking damage. That's right. Or no, it doesn't increase for them at all. That's right.
Nope, it does not. All right, I'm going to go one, two, three, four. I'm going to go after number four. I don't think I mean that heals me but oh I don't have the flesh. I needed to during the delve I needed to um gain threat to gain flesh
but I never wanted to gain threat cuz I didn't want to lose uh lose my people. Um so we will just roll with it. Uh, so it is going to increase my passion, increase my heat because I have to commit with my chipped axe.
Commit
against number four.
Come on. Who do you think's going to get the first crit?
Uh,
you think it's going to be you?
No. Unlikely.
Well, certainly not me. Uh, what? I need six.
An opening.
Yeah. So, I five or higher. Hey, there we go. All right, that's
one hit on number four.
Number four, it's a pinkish blood worm. Four.
All right. And there's no Oh, when you reveal this BP.
Oh, when you reveal this BP, discard one blood token from the chosen knight.
From the chosen knight or closest knight?
The closest knight. Okay, that's me. Gross. Okay, so that is that. So, um, and then it is a red and a black. Um, my passion is two. So, I have a reroll. What? I need a four.
Four.
Come on, baby.
One, two.
That is cocky.
Three, four, five. It's like uh so that's dead.
Dead. Oof. Wound. Uh oh, it blows up. Knock back four.
Oh,
okay. So,
so that'll destroy.
Okay. That
do you take any damage or
Yeah, you suffer crash.
Oh, gotcha.
Thank god I didn't fail though. So that's that. Then another escalation. Got to make sure I don't forget forget this. Okay, that's number one. And then I assume BP2 goes up there.
And I guess that worm goes there now.
It'll go up there. Um, don't have the heat to stand up right now. So,
okay. I guess I'll activate and kill number one here and get some some blood back. So, we'll activate, move off, passion up.
Well, you you can't go you can't go above five.
Oh, yeah. You didn't go back to Does it stay on the board? Can someone pick it up?
Nope. Nope.
My blood doesn't work that way.
Yeah. If there are no eligible targets in the zone, discard those tokens.
All right. I'm going to stab this guy with a broken slime.
Okay.
Okay. I've got little mister on me. Um, so I get a roll. Doesn't matter. I got two hits.
Oh, yeah. I can leave you. Um,
did you overcome? I assume.
Did I overcome? Yes. So, there's a power in there. And then I can leave you a break. There you go. Nice. One, two, three. Yeah.
Oh my. Um
Oh, you were attacking number one.
I I I didn't even see what I'm targeting.
That's true.
Yeah. Was that was just That was just a practice.
Okay. Descicated blood worm three. Activate one suck one. Okay.
You're missing something. There's a when reveal when you reveal this BP,
move one blood token from the closest knight. Me.
Oh, hey, now you might get it back.
Uh, onto this BP card.
Yep.
Okay. Oh, now he's got two blood on wound. He activate one.
Okay.
So, how does that work? Does someone activate?
Activate one. Uh, there could be activate number one, but activate draw AI for the next mob on the mob track.
Activate one. Draw AI for the next one mob mobs on the mob track.
So, I'm guessing that's number two.
Okay. All right. So, you need a three.
Yeah.
Got him.
Nice.
Nice. Okay.
So, I guess that activates one on a wound.
Yep.
So, that's a
But you're going to get your blood back.
Yes.
Yes. and desiccated blood worm. Yep. Another wound. One, two. So, four wounds. Uh, that's going to be the last. Well, actually, it could be that one. So, number one going away, then two going in there.
And then body part two. outside when a pilltorm outside the clash board is about to activate. Okay. So, he's not about to activate.
Okay.
Uh but then activate one. I think what that's we draw an AI card for number two.
What I'm going to do before I end my turn is I will I'm gonna take one heat to monkey business over here. So now we get armor rule one or uh or dodge reroll one.
Oh, okay. Good deal. Uh nice. It's just running over and just like slapping them, throwing [ __ ] It's like God, that's all that's all your monkey does. Um I was looking at it's number three. He gets scab armor. He does what the uh blood crocodile does. Every blood token gives it a plus one at. Gotcha.
Um,
see, they're stealing their ideas.
They are. They are. I mean, except That's true. I was like, "Wait a minute. Crimson Crocodile came out before." Um, so I think that's Oh, everyone except Rolloff the Eager Squire. So, number two. Well, he's not activating actually, but the problem is is those guys when they activate, they're going to spawn
and molest you.
And Yeah. So, I think I'm gonna have him go one, two, what's his movement? Four. One, two, three. S, I'm coming. All right. That's his donkey, by the way. Donkey.
Donkey.
What are you doing in my swamp? Uh, that's it. That's the end of the of our turn.
Hey, now you're a god cursed. Uh,
that's that song's still a banger. All right. So, number three. When a pale uh is about to activate, places on the pale burrow terrain tile closest to the priority target, which I believe is still me because he has two.
Okay. Activating.
Yes. So,
AI.
I guess he might he might not target me. Um Oh, yeah. AI card. Uh, feeding frenzy night with the most blood tokens in front. It might actually be you.
I do that for
freaking [ __ ]
How do you feel about them just being able to target you? Like just get to you. I guess it's pretty
I
I bet you the bosses have movement values and the mobs are just kind of meant to get to you because they're so they're so easy to kill.
Okay, move and attack. It's gonna suck one.
Oh, no. It's gonna suck one.
Yeah, it is.
Okay. So, one sucked.
I need you to be on that.
Oh, sorry.
Okay. All right. So, it's four dice. Eight or higher.
Four dice. Eight or higher. It's a lot of [ __ ] dice.
That is a lot of dice. See here. Can I do anything? That's the wrong one, Papa.
I'm feeling a little woozy here. Okay. Uh, so eight or higher? None. And I get one reroll. Thank you, little. You didn't help. Did I get sucked dry? Am I sucked off?
Okay, you got that. I mean, it could have been that. This is a very bad one if it has a lot of blood. For each hit, lose minus X vigor where X is the amount of blood tokens on this mob. M.
So, you're losing four vigor
because we have no armor to negate it. But, for example, if it had three blood tokens, you would have lost 12.
Vigor peril.
Peril. Oh, okay. So, I'm down to six. So, that is a major peril. That's our first major, right?
Yeah. Well, yeah.
Dismbal.
Is this the first round?
No. Is it actually disembowled
essentially?
Oh,
heroic death. Uh, so it's not the first round. Any other round you die, but you won't sell your life cheap. Immediately stand up and move three spaces and perform a bonus attack. Then shuffle this card back to the into the motor deck and die. Okay.
Only you.
I mean, we resurrected the end of the fight, but I'm not sure how that works thematically.
Uh, you lose half your clues. They're all I lose all the other ones. That's what I lose. Not the green ones.
I think it's both.
[ __ ] I hate this game. Uh oh, I can second chance, couldn't I?
Yeah, if you have the heat. Yeah,
I do have the heat.
Yeah, second chance was
But that's only for Is that judicial?
I I think it is, unfortunately. Well, it it I mean it depends on on the wording. Second chance. After you draw a Mortise or Jiium card, you may ignore its effect and discard it. Draw or resolve another card from the same deck.
[ __ ] yeah, that's what I'm doing.
I don't need I don't need a spare attack.
It's like a rose gon. It's like the loser's death.
Inner strength. Lose two heat. Stand up and immediately perform a bonus attack.
That's even better.
That's just a net win. Like the [ __ ] dying part.
Okay, so I I still had to lose. I had to use a heat to do that. And then you have
but then I lost it from that.
And then the card I'm assuming is probably a discard.
Yes. So then yes, this is a discard. My second chance.
I like the cards.
Like the actual card play is nice. Having having the agency of being to get a second chance or you know.
Yeah, we [ __ ] like that. That is nice. You do.
Okay. So now my bonus
which your bonus attack will actually chain break and it will not burrow away.
Hot damn. is there's no tokens in the pool. So, six or better.
I'm going to play it like atto and say it clears at the end of the uh
Okay, I'll heat up for that one.
That is one hit with this.
Okay.
Okay. So, one hit. So, two power dice
on number two or number three.
I need a four. It's hard to get with nothing going on. That's almost impossible. Um, okay. Well, it's bonus. Oh, it's free. I tried really hard. One break token would have done it.
Yeah.
I don't have any power rroll. Oh, wait. I would have passioned up for that, right?
Yep.
I do have a power reroll.
Damn.
Darn. All right. Uh, on the fail, you get knocked down.
Okay. Looks like the tunneling blood.
Can you tell me what this symbol does?
Very top one.
The little pawn symbol
with the arrow around it. Do you know
off rip, but I
assuming it lets me move an ally. I'm hoping.
Okay. So, it's called hug.
Oh.
Um I was able to find the keyword real quick. So hug. If adjacent to a monster during any ability window, move up to X spaces cardonally or diagonally. Each space you move to must be unoccupied and adjacent to a monster. You cannot perform movements through a course. So it lets you kind of like like um strafe around him.
Oh, I diagonally too.
Uh yeah.
Oh, nice. That's pretty dope.
You got knocked down though from the failure of that. But
uh Okay. I think
uh well I put a see my two passion. So that'd be I'll leave a break token in there.
Okay.
Oh, and an opening. I forget my sword actually has opening.
Oh. Oh no. Oh no. You're right. Oh, never mind. Sorry. It's a new round. I forgot my chipped axe has a break on it. So it it is a uh commit. Okay. Um so that means number four is coming out there as well. It's activating.
Yep.
Do do I get a random direction or
uh it
is Do we use that one card?
When a pale outside class is about to activate, place it on the pale burrow terrain tile closest to the priority target.
Is that still you?
Yeah, cuz I Well, actually, what's your passion?
Still two.
Two. Okay. Yeah, it's still me. So, closest night with the most blood tokens? Um, two. Oh, that might be rolloff. Yeah, he's still thick with blood.
Yeah, surging. He's just pulsing with blood. Um, okay. Well, there are no blood tokens on it, so it's three dice, which I was about to roll. Where's the deck? All right. How many evasions does Rolof get? One. I'll sp I'll spend a heat to redraw.
Two. That's better. Um, so that's going to be uh one hit. So it's going to suck one, which is going to put it on four. And it's going he's going to lose a vigor. Doesn't do apparel. Doesn't have more than one. So um that's it. Then it's going to roll a dieice and uh teleport somewhere. Number four. which is that's where it burrows. Okay. Can you put that S over onto number two, please?
I need you to be on this.
All right. Now, it's our turn. So, we refresh. All right. I think I'm going spend two heat to stand up do my night pose. I think I was there. Okay, so I'm at three. Whenever pillar distribute with blood tokens, distribute the tokens among knights in zone X for X the amount of those tokens. Okay. So, we can dis depending on if I kill this one, you or I could get the blood token that's on it. And I can see that it's a four to hit H.
I want to kill two, but that I mean, so the more blood they have, the more it pops out and the more people can get in. Oh, yes. Yes.
Bloodborne style healing. You're
right. Um, yeah, I'm gonna
Okay,
go after three. So, that is going to increase my passion, which is Oh, sweet. My my flesh knight gives me uh I can put the flesh tokens in there, which I can use instead of heat. Oh, nice. So, one die attacking number three with a critical
critical one.
Critical [ __ ] Oops, that's not even the right way. Critical eat my ass.
Critical miss.
Okay,
so that is going to be a red and a black. I need a four. One, two, three, four. Four. Hell yeah. So, three is dead.
Okay. So, does does he does one of them activate
uh
he had blood one activate one?
I'm going to say whenever he dies um yeah, I think uh it's probably still going to activate one.
Okay. See the last one by chance? How many do we have to kill?
Uh seven.
Oh,
this is five.
Oh, damn.
Yeah. So, uh, but that does kill it. Yeah, cuz this is Yeah, this is 1, two, three, four, five. So, it's dead. That was a Was this a two? It was a two. Blood token goes to somebody. You or me.
Yeah, I have the priority target and that's seems to be who they target. Well, actually did not realize who they go after or spawn next to. Um, so that was a two, meaning I believe a two goes away, a three comes in,
and then a body part three goes up there. Om. And then I leave behind what do you think? Probably a break. Oh, did I overcome? I needed a four. I think. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, power one. Leave behind a power one. I'll leave behind a break. And then I will leave behind an opening and put a flesh in there.
A flesh? You can spend those or
um I can I can use instead of heat from the my refreshing flesh. You may use flesh tokens from the night poolool instead of heat.
Okay. And they persist.
Um I don't know. They probably clear out after an attack. I think any token in the night pool clears out. H um but I think I can use them. It's as if I was spending heat for whatever. Um, yeah, the activate one is kind of throwing me off because it's like who's activating, you know?
Yeah.
Is it draw AI for the next mobs? For the next one mob on the mob track.
So, four. So, so does that mean like does that mean like we take an AI token and put it on number four so whenever four activates it does an AI card or do we Oh, I think no, we just do it like probably right now.
Wound reaction,
I guess. So, brutal bloodletting knight with the least blood tokens. Um, both of mine have three,
so either one of my characters.
So, she's pretty close to him.
So, yeah.
Okay. So, move and judge suck one. So, X is twice. Okay. Oh. Oh, the dice. Okay. X is twice the amount of blood tokens on this mob. Fortitude might for each hit lose minus two vigor. Okay. Brutal bloodletting. Uh so four dice I guess. Okay. Um but you have it's she gets to check fortitude or might.
Oh,
but they don't have stats. where they just draw. That's right. Anytime there's dice involved, they draw.
Yeah.
So,
so I guess Yeah, just Yeah, just draw. And
it's evaded and critical miss. I will I guess spend a heat for that.
Yeah.
Critical success. Crit chance.
Oh, it's evade.
Evaded two. Yeah,
evaded two. Okay, so she's going to lose four vigor. Jeez. And then after the attack, um, suck one.
[ __ ]
And then burrow. Burrow two, which is this one. Oh, shuffle after the current action ends. Okay, so this is kind of like your uh Gloom Haven deck. Why are the cards already chipped up? Have you been [ __ ] over have you been tearing up these cards? Um yeah, that was that was its activation.
Okay. And that was just one of us attacking.
Yeah, that was the fly shredder.
Okay. So, everyone else still has a 10,
unfortunately. There's not really any to get to right now,
right? Because they they teleported away, which sucks.
Yeah. Wasn't there something we could do to make them spawn? Oh, yeah. We could give a blood to lure one.
Was that a thing?
Yeah. Um the birds.
Okay.
Um addition to the tile, you may discard one blood token to lure out if you have a blood worm that's not currently on the board. If you do, place it on this tile.
Oh, okay. There we go. Yep. Just dumping out one fifth of your blood.
Yeah, just Yeah, we're just
Come here, worm.
Ah, but one, two, three, four. Yeah, there's We have five wounds. We just need to kill two more of them.
Okay. Uh, well, I can stand. I'll heat up.
Oh, is she about to die just for having a turn?
Yes. Yes, she will. Ah,
so
did you refresh her heat?
Um, what is it?
Like one though.
Uh, yeah. It looks like their heat refresh is one.
I think I did.
I'm not sure. How about as if they die? I mean, they lose half their their clue. Probably probably stuff from in the boils phase.
Sure. I didn't.
All right. So then Oh, then you can spend two to reflex her out the room. Get out of there.
Okay.
Anyway, I pose in a sexy way.
I'm here.
Everyone could have spent that. So, I'm actually going to have him reflex one as well. So, you stand up.
Yep. Um, and I'll spend one. Uh, doesn't say to them, so I'll spawn. It's a B [ __ ] three. Um,
oh, you kill it. You I mean, you wound a BP3, then we win.
Okay. We've got I mean, we got a power and a break and a few other things. Sure.
Oh, it's on the burrow. Oh, okay. Okay. Got it. I was thinking it was the geyser. Nice. evasion plus one precision.
What's mode?
I was literally looking that up.
Okay, I appreciate it.
Um, oh, motivate. During the second ability window, other knights may move up to X spaces among them. Motivate three allows one knight to move three spaces, two knights to move two and one space respectively, or three knights to move one space each.
So,
it just allows you to move during the second ability window.
Lets me move or someone else move.
Let's other knights move.
Knights move. Sweet. Okay. Um I'll use for two heat. Get him, boy. goes into delay and I send my monkey after him and I get to place an opening or break in the token pool before I even start.
Nice.
So, I'll do a break.
Nice. Okay.
Okay. Oh, yeah. Here, too. Um Okay. And then I um my monkey. So, I guess I attack. Here I go.
So, I need to go one opening. So, five or better.
Yep.
Five. Oh, wait. No. Um, so six is the baseline.
So I need three or better with the sword
with no heat. So flat roll.
One hit.
One. [ __ ] [ __ ] you. [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] gang. [ __ ] um I don't even have my monkey on my back to help.
No, you uh Yeah, you sent him to the uh
Okay. Um I could spend one of my clues for a free wound, a free power. So I got one in there. I get too [ __ ]
You got to see what three is.
Oh yeah, I'm passioning up.
Yep. Got to see what number three is.
Six. That's not happening.
Impossible. May have the one baked in short of like a two. They both have to be
theoretically could. Can you?
But I spend spend my clues.
Oh yeah, that added to the to the D or to the card.
Yeah. in three. I mean, I have a power reroll.
Hey,
four. Five. You're
[ __ ] kidding me.
It's either you fail and you're sucked, too.
Fine. There. My precious.
Oh, you needed a green to get the plus one power.
The only one.
Gotcha.
So, there they're dead now.
Yeah, that's a that's a BP3. So, it's not a crit, so it doesn't go into the wound stack, but it is a double wound.
Baby, give it to me. Give me Give me that sweetness. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven. All right. Well, as a mob mechanically, um, they're uh I do like them. the the blood is is interesting to manage,
but it's like, "Oh, that one's bursting. That one's bursting with blood." Uh, okay.
So, I mean, I wouldn't want to fight these things. Look in this picture where it's like, what is a renold? He's just like totally like engulfed. He's like, "Ah, help me." Like, there's the there's the art. Okay. Um, yeah. Deaths of any knight is dead. They are resurrected with maximum vigor. Each resurrected knight who is currently on an investigation or free roaming loses half of their clues. Stat reset. All nights reset their uh passion, heat, and vigor and their limits on tracks. Oh, okay. So, go you go back to your starting limit.
Oh, gotcha.
But everything resets.
Okay. Do these are Banees?
Uh, I think Banees also will will uh go away.
Okay. But uh pretty much a full full heal. Uh return all technique cards from your cooldown. Delay discard areas to your hand.
Uh
delay technique.
Yeah. All cards go back to your hand. Each knight discards two bane.
Even these.
Yes.
Okay.
Each knight um discards two Bane tokens.
Okay.
Uh did you already get rid of the bane? Yeah, you did. Okay. Uh, all conditions would also go away. So that's if we had poison. Poison goes away.
Okay.
Um, okay. Uh, gear. Unexhaust all your gear cards. Regain all discarded gear. So everything comes back. Victorious search. If you won the clash, perform Clash Scavenge one and scavenge three. Scavenge three. So, I'm going to go ahead and guess that Clash Scavenge one is going to be the exhibition Clash. Um, one and then we could choose three of these. So, what do you think? I'm almost thinking like maybe consumables might be nice.
Try
two consumables in a kingdom gear.
Sure. Then venture forth. If any n is on the quest, proceed to the indicated paragraph. When in doubt, check the story paragraph that directed you to this clash. All righty. Not bad. I I am enjoying the mobs. Normally I hate mob fights, but it's they're relatively simple. I think unless we're totally butchering stuff. Um, okay. C 00008.
What?
This is going to be exciting. You ready?
Okay.
Silence falls as the last beast lies dead at your troops feet. Hula already has a carving knife out, securing a few grizzly trophies to a fixer belt. You, on the other hand, busy yourself with checking over the settlers, making sure they escaped unharmed and tending to your own wounds. So occupied are you with trying to calm the near hysterical refugees and make sure none of your number bleed out that you don't notice the new presence among you. A tall imposing figure and odd garb clad in hues of green, brown, and beige decorated with earrings, bracelets, and a heavy belt of what may be pure gold. The newcomer rewards you with piercing eyes, a slight downturn to her lips, the only thing betraying her disapproval. You're the fleshwitter knights I've heard rumor of, she states rather than ask, glancing down at your latest kill.
Good to see that your skills aren't overstated. I have need of you now. Her abrasive tone gets your backup, but it's Holder who responds. We're not dogs to come to heal when called, she snaps. But you are hunters with pride, and I present a most tempting target. The woman points to the corpses. These were nothing. What do you mean? mere prey for the real monsters. I'm pursuing a beast, an apex predator. It's been spreading a sickness in my homeland that must be stopped. You humor her for now, and she explains little beyond the bare minimum. A beast shaped like a man, but toweringly tall with a bloated egg-shaped helm ravaging the borders of her land. In its wake, a mady a malady.
A malady.
It's a weeb. Uh, a malady spreads, arising from the halfeaten carcasses of its victims. It has been preying on beasts both here and in the sunken kingdom. Monsters like the ones whose corpses now litter the square. You look nervously to the creatures you just felt, but see nothing out of the ordinary about them. They seem fine, perfect, perfectly suited for the harvest. Your stomach grumbles at the thought of how you might use them to cook up a new delicacy.
Yeah, I'm delicious in dungeon. I'm that what can I do? Like how can I make blood good?
Um, I can give you pointers on where to find the sink's current layer, the stranger claims. I need you to kill it before it migrates one once more. If Sir is in your party, CR00001.
Well, I don't know where that's at. It's in the back. Yep, there it is. Yep. Rapport events.
Oh, cool.
Um, here, I'll let you read it because it's I think it's I think it's you who's talking.
Yep. Very first one. The one. Yep. If a beast such as this is spreading sickness in its wake, it could be worth looking into. The grizzled tracker knight strokes his graying whiskers. I've seen similar things happen when the blood fungus of Isan wormed its way into the basopile. Ah, takes me back. You cut off the elderly knight before you can ramble any further. But you are glad for his experienced perspective. Okay. If you pick choice two in the following choice, you gain a Marshall clue.
Okay. Um, if you pick choice two in the following choice gain a marshall clue return to Okay, that's neat.
Man, I sure wish we needed Marshall clues because we've been swimming in them.
That's true. Um,
we say this one.
Hold up. You interject. We already have a contract to see through here. We can't just go running off into the wild looking for this egg thing for you. Uka holder mutters. Let's not be too hasty. Look at these saps. Our skills are wasted looking after them. We can make all kinds of coin going after this creature. So, choice one. No, you won't abandon your task so frivolously while it means leaving this creature, this apex egg knight roaming free. You need to see the settler safety to their destination. Or two, um, hold us right. You're wasting your time and talent here. The chance to hunt down a real predator, not the vermin you have faced so far, is too tempting to pass up. Besides, doesn't taking this beast out help everyone in the long term? You will hunt down this egg knight. Ask the stranger for information on its lair.
Reset threat to zero.
Well, I mean, with your expertise, and and you obviously I'm going to go here to hunt the big beast.
They'll be fine. They're not going to be fine.
Um, yep. So, I'm going to go with choice two. I will hunt down this egg knight. Ask the stranger. So, reset threat to zero. God damn it. And and then because I chose choice two, um I guess gain a marshall clue. Uh sure, I guess I have that. CO22.
The stranger smirks triumphantly at your decision. I'm so glad you see things my way. I had my doubts about your guild, but I'm glad to see that at least the individual butcher knights have some common sense. You go to ask her what she means by that, but she has already turned away from you, looking for a place to rest for the night. She's just off in the distance like look at the pushing away leaves lays down and does you like comes in like she's so important but she just sleeps in the [ __ ]
NCC walking into a house.
Huh? Oh, is she going to go around the rock? Nope. Just ride over it. Have you seen the DD movie?
Yeah,
it's Yeah, just ride over it. you are not fun to talk to. Um, that is my one of my favorite movies.
You go to ask her what she means by the Yeah. Uh, the settler simply move out of her way, sensing that a conflict with the imperious stranger would be more trouble than it's worth. Your objective, hunt down the apex egg knight. First, discard the rem the remaining resilience tokens. You no longer be tracking them cuz they all die when you leave.
Does it say that? Okay. Then discard all red acrylic cubes from the time track. Interesting. Okay. So, cuz we were wondering about replay-ability. We're just like, okay, what do we do if we just finish their story? I guess I didn't have to
go hunt the egg knight.
Yeah.
Oh, [ __ ] Um. Oh, dang it. Um, eight. Oh, there it is. I was like, man, what the hell? That doesn't make any sense. Uh, you need to find the trail of the Apex Eggg Knight and hunt it down. Track your progress with hunt tally marks now. Okay. Collect Marshall clues. So, now I have finally have clues that I I'm trying to collect.
Okay.
Collect Marshall clues. Place a Marshall clue on a random already explored small tile. Then randomly draw four unrevealed small tiles and one unrevealed extra large tile without looking at them and place X on them. When you enter a tile with X on it, you found the Apex egg knight's tracks. Fly Shredder gains that clue. If you collect three either by finding the egg knight's tracks or any other way, make one hunt tally mark. Yeah, I need six tally marks. Oh, sorry. When I get three, I get a hunt tally mark. If I manage to collect six, I make a second hunt tally mark. When you're about to trigger an encounter from the time track, resolve it against the Apex Eggg Knight instead of a regular encounter.
So, that's probably the full clash. Um um am I still reading this? Okay. Dawn breaks and you rise early before the light of day awakens anyone else in the camp. Better to slip away before they notice you're gone than have to explain to the refugees why you're forsaking your mission. If you tell them there's a big monster that needs killing, they're only more likely to insist you stay and protect them. They don't understand the priorities of a flesh ritter. So, one I can Okay, so flywritters are trained to drive prey out of hiding by beating the undergrowth, creating a clamor that startles them. You can do the same. Send the egg knight's usual prey scattering and be more likely to catch the big monster chasing an easy meal. This will leave a trail of disgruntled and defensive creatures behind you, though.
Creatures that, unable to challenge you, might scamper back along your trail to the caravan. That just outright gives me a tally mark. Or you've got to you've got the training to navigate the wilds unseen, creeping up on your targets and with skillfully skillful subtlety. It'll mean moving slower and not drawing the egg knight out into the open, but less disruption means fewer creatures running haphazardly here and there and a lower risk to fellow travelers like the caravan. Take a stealthier approach and focus on hunting down the egg knight with more precise methods. I'm going to go with that one. I think that's best. Hunt tally mark. Free hunt tally mark sounds fine. Uh sounds nice, but I think this is going to [ __ ] us in the end. M
um so yeah, so each knight gains one heat and then 0024. You hunker down, moving as quietly as possible. Old training comes back to you in a flood and you are once again a strippling out in the forest around the flashholden trying to outweight your sister or your teachers. You pass through the principality with little issue, and many of the beasts of the kingdom are unaware of your presence. For the remainder of the expedition, when you would trigger an ambush, you may choose to make it an encounter instead.
Oh, nice.
That is nice. At the start of the story step, if your time is 16, um, if you have three hunt tally, see 15. Otherwise, see 14. Proceed to rest.
Okay.
Okay. So proceed to rest and then yes that we will call that here but let's rest after oh wait proceed to that's the spoils phase which is later um don't remember when rest was 66.
An exhibition can be a daunting experience for your knights. By the time you reach the midpoint, you will likely have had a few close encounters with monsters and even an exhibition clash under your belt. Don't worry though, you may have lost some vigor, but you will have a moment's respite to prepare for the challenges ahead. Um, okay. Rest abilities. Knights May play technique cards with um the rest keyword, which I think I have.
I've got one.
Yep. Oh, I need a I need a flash. So, never mind.
You got one in the pool.
Uh that's not in the pool. Those are cleared. Um I have to have it on my board anyway. This if it's in the night pool, I can only use it to spend for heat. Um otherwise, I it has to be on my um thing. Um, and we're not uh discard all resource tokens,
which I'm thinking is these. Then um
gain three clues.
Yeah, gain three gain three clues of your choice.
Um, no, perform rotation two. So, one and then two. Yeah. And then you may resolve campfire tales while your knights are resting. You may just Did you want to do a rest ability?
Uh with whatever fortify one is.
Um fortify one. If you don't have maximum vigor, gain one vigor. If you don't have maximum, place a red cube on X. So, if we're not at Okay, if you don't have maximum vigor, gain plus one vigor. If you have maximum, place a red cube on one. It becomes your additional wound. When you would lose it, lose your additional wound.
Oh, so just like one extra hit
pretty much.
Oh, worth my heat.
Uh, okay. When your knights are resting, you may decide to participate in campfire tales, a small getaway from the pervasive dangers in the kingdoms. There short stories your knights can tell each other to lighten up the mood and gain a small stat bonus. Oh, to resolve campfire tales, roll on the campfire tales table in the kingdom codeex, adding the highest rapport between any two knights in your party to the result. Then read the tail.
Wait, did we get a rapport?
No.
What time is it? almost 11.
Yeah.
Oh, I know. We can like like if I was confident it would stop by midnight, but that took a while and then you know full class.
Oh, no. I was talking about ending.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Yeah. Like I would if I knew in by midnight, but yeah. Yeah.
I'm just waiting for her to
We're almost done recording.
Can you take them in there and shut the doors, please? Guys, go. Jesus Christ.
Um, okay. These are exploration ciphers. There we go. Campfire tales. Um, okay. Uh, roll a d10 plus rapport. So, got it. All right. Uh, basically for us to not have uh it's 9 to 13. though, cuz you have to you add rapport.
Oh, so basically for us to get something without adding any rapport, we need to roll 9 or 10.
Oh jeez.
So we'll see if we even talk to each other during the camp.
Okay.
Nope. Nope. So no campfire.
A
um but I think that is it in terms of the campfire phase. So, we would immediately go into Yeah. into the next the next half, which uh leads to the full clash trying to hunt down the egg knight.
Pop that egg out.
You ready? All right. Well, that is where we were going to call this episode here. I hope you're enjoying. Um stick around for the rest of the series. Like, comment, share, and subscribe. And have a wonderful whatever time of day it is for you.
