Soul Masters Easily one of the Best TCG's out there

Hey everybody, it's Gerald power on. Today we're going to look at what we're probably one of my favorite trading card games I've played in a long long time. Uh you know, a lot of times you know, a new game will come or something and you go, "Oh, okay. Yeah, I've seen this before a million times." But very few times does art and um the passion and the the care that people put into something really show. Uh sometimes a lot of companies will just throw something together, but that's not the case with uh this game right here. Uh and that is from Soul Masters. Uh the the trading card game. Uh first of all, these decks are gorgeous, okay? And the way these starter decks come is fantastic. Um it it it just comes so professionally done. I love the foam in it. I love the chips. Um how you can get how how well the the little cheat sheets are. I mean, these are these are just fantastically put together. So, it explains how the game flow goes. Now, we're going to go down to the table. I'm going to talk a little bit about this game, but I am not going to go over every single rule. Um and I want to make sure that you understand how great this is and how beautiful this is. And then we'll talk more about it on the other side of this, my dear friends. Because boy, this one's a really really as good
as it gets. Let's go down, check it out. Okay, I'm not going to go over every rule, but I am going to tell you why you have to get this game. And you're going to want to get it over at Trading Card Market or go over to the to their website and get it as well. Um you are going to be a commander, you're going to be fighting other commanders. There are a bunch of different factions. This First of all, as you can see, the cards are absolutely beautiful. There's a couple things that we have to look at these cards. Okay, this is your attack value. This is your defense value. This here is resources. Resources are going to help you get these cards out, which are your reserve deck, which are going to be with armors, weapons, as well as um uh um battlefields and things like that.
They're going to help you uh make your commander even stronger. You're going to be able to evolve a couple times. So, every time you lose life, okay, and this person dies, guess what? They're going to be able to evolve. And of course, there's going to be certain cards that help you evolve. How you lose the game is when your last evolution uh loses all its health, uh you're going to lose. So, you got to have a very fine balance of even though you get stronger, do you want to, you know, get to that uh second evolution, okay? Resource cards, these here are going to help you bring out. And there are certain things that are going to um initiate uh every time you defeat something, you're going to play a resource card. You're going to use these resource cards to pay for your equipment. You're going to start your hand with five cards. And you are going to be able to play any of these cards, and you can mulligan, of course.
But you're The main things that you want to try to play is your energy core core. The first player can only play one energy core to start with, okay? The second player gets to play two, and then from that point on, everybody gets to play two. You're going to be have a huge 50 count count uh uh draw deck that are going to be filled with all kinds of different uh soldiers and and units that are you you're going to help. Here's your cost for that. So, for instance, if you wanted to, you can rest this energy that we put out, and you can play wolf pack, okay? That is a spell, okay? Spells do certain things. Uh you can play one to bring out one of your crimson shadow uh clan, which as you can see has a an attack of two. You can only attack something that is rested, okay? So, when you go to attack the other side of the battlefield, you can only attack a rest uh rested uh opponent, or you can attack the commander. Now, you have to really watch what you do because the minute you become rested, then you are going to become vulnerable to the commander cuz the commander can also attack at any point, and decide, "Well, I'm going to go for it. I'm going to go after your commander, or I'm going to take out your units, so the next turn my units can can can uh proceed even better, and I can get more resources cuz
I'm going to build up resources." Uh health is tracked by these beautiful I mean, you chips. I mean, you got to love the way the chips and things like that. These The blue ones are ones. Uh this is a five, and I believe that's a 10. So, you have enough for any kind of evolution that you can uh you'll go. And as you can see, you start off with your first commander, who will have 10, then uh 10, and then 15. You can pay okay, energy. And when you pay energy, you can actually pull a resource card and you'll play that card if you can pay the four energy. Also, you just don't have to use these cards. You can use any card in your hand. Say you've got too many spells. Well, I don't want to use that spell, but that's going to be lost to you and you got to be smart. You can run out of cards and if you run out of cards, guess what? You're going to lose the game as well. And there are certain decks that have different kind of abilities that are going to do different things. You're going to go back and forth until one commander is left standing and my god, the beauty of these cards, the and how well they're put together and how easy it is to learn. I mean, uh the the flavor text that you have as well as the abilities that they have, um this is a beautiful, beautiful set. This company has really gone out of their way and done a fantastic thing. And we're going to talk a lot more about this
fantastic game up top. Soul Masters, this is one of my favorite trading card games I've played in a very, very, very long time. Again, I didn't go over everything, but I think you get the the the gist of it. I really like how you've got to do certain things to get your resource cards so you can get armor and weapons and and other advantages battle battlefields um um um battlefield cards out. Um I love the chips, of course, because I I'm not a big poker chip guy. I really like that. And I like how you can use any card for your energy. Um you've got to be very smart in laying out your energy. Um you know, you you you you have in your deck a certain number and do you want to do you You to rush things and try to get things going real quick or do can you be a little patient and and look at your hand and play certain things.
The strategic value of it of whether to attack the other battle ground or go right after commander really play it weighs heavily. Um do you want to really go after that commander right away and end up having to deal with a more powerful commander and then you know where you started out pretty well, you might end up getting your teeth kicked in. Um the the the commanders are just and the art are fantastic. Athena, Kesha here, but let's not stop there because they have a I haven't even opened these up and I can't wait because there are new factions out there as well. Um Um they have the booster box awakenings and outer lands which it's just going to give you more greatness and build your own deck. And they have even in the the the rule book, the learn to play book, it shows you how to build your own decks. Um this is so well thought out and so well put together. If you are not going out there trying to get this if you are a trading card fan, you are making a tremendous mistake because you're missing out on what I consider one of the best trading card games out there today. Uh beautifully done, artistically, visually, thematically, and rules wise just a very smooth and wonderful experience which
isn't that what it's all about? It's having that kind of fun and glory and and and and battling someone and that's what trading cards are about. And uh I highly suggest you get this.
