Civolution Expansion Teaser

Hi, my name's Paul Groen. Now, Civolution is my favorite game of 2024. And in this video, I'm going to be telling you about the expansion. This expansion, which is called Acceptance Letter, is due out at Essen Spiel 2025. And it actually contains three little mini expansions, which you can use individually or you can add them all in together.

I'm going to tell you a little bit about each of them now, but I'm not going to show you all of the components in here. The first module that I want to talk about is starting attribute chips. And I'm going to show you a picture of one of them on screen. Now, there are actually six of them included in the game.

And essentially, each player is going to start with one of these. It gets slotted into your console, and it's going to give you a benefit right from the start of the game. The second one I'm going to talk about is level four modules. Because three levels was not enough. What happens at the start of the game is you set a certain number of these modules aside and then players will draft them at the start of the game.

During the game, you can upgrade your level three modules to the level four modules. But yeah, there's only one module of each of the 15. Most of these icons are fairly explanatory. They work in a very similar way to the other ones. Yeah, you'll find out more later on. The final one to talk about is a whole new thing, and this is creatures.

There are six creature chips included in the game. One of them will be available at the start of the game and when you go hunting, there is a chance that you are actually going to be able to tame one of these creatures. Now, creature chips are slotted into your console. They are a completely new type of chip.

And as well as giving you an instant bonus when you get them, you can feed them. Every time there is a feeding phase, you can actually feed them the type of materials that can be found in the terrain that they exist in. And the more you feed them, the more benefits you're going to get. That's it. That is it for this little mini expansion.
