First-Class Letters Board Game Solo Playthrough | DaniCha
Hi everyone, Danielle here. I'm doing a solo playthrough of First Class Letters. Um, and this is just such an easy game to learn to play. So, very excited to just dive into uh the play through. So, to start, you're going to roll the three uh non- red dice. All right. And we are going to put them in alphabetical order, C and V.
There are these shaded boxes. You're going to write those letters in alphabetical order. C N V. Also, just so you can see a close view of what the sheet looks like, you do have the alphabet listed out here as reference, which is helpful sometimes in case you just suddenly forget the order of the letters.
Um, at the end of the game, we are going to be having a score for each row. And how we score is based off of the number of letters that we use on these cubes. And we we mark them with check marks. And then we basically add up the check marks. But we could also multiply uh the amount of check marks by two for each row if you manage to use all three of the brown letters.
Um let's start the round. We start each round by rolling four dice. The E goes in this one spot right here. And we have the letters NJF. Um, the E is a letter we cannot use in our word. And when we write down a word, we have to make sure that we are writing down words that are in alphabetical order.
So, I won't be able to create a letter that a word that starts with the letter Z up here and write it here. I will have to reserve that towards the bottom if I needed to. All right. So, it'll make more sense as I play the game. Um, in a solo mode, you are supposed to use a timer. Um, I'm not going to use the timer.
I'm just going to give myself some grace and uh just try my best to create some good words. So N, J, F are the letters that I want to try to make um a word out of. And I could use these letters multiple times. Um and each of those times I use it will be counted towards my score for that word. Um so I'm trying to think.
I don't think J and F there's any words I can really make work with J and F in the same sentence in the same word. I mean um I mean Jify. J I F Y could be a good one. Or I could do I can't use the letter E. So maybe Jify. Um I'll do that. So I'll put the J here because I can't go anywhere else. J F Y.
And in this case, I used uh 1 2 3. So, I'll put three check marks. 1 2 3. I didn't manage to use the N, so I don't get the times two. Um, but the score here would be three points. And I have to make sure I didn't use the letter E. And if I did, the the word would just count as zero points. All right, next round.
All right, we have N, C, L, and then the letter S cannot be used this round. So, I think there's a a good one. I could do the word clean and the letter C is already here. Um, so I'll do uh E A N Yeah, clean. And so I use all three letters once. One, two, three. So I do do the times two. So that's going to be six points.
All right. Okay. So y hjn. Um, so I could use the n word here. So, this could be uh the word nothing. And that means I used the H once and the N twice. So, 1 2 3. I didn't use the J. So, that's just going to be three points. Okay. The letter E can't be used. We have a D, KG. Um, E would have been perfect because the D is right there.
But let's see. We could do Viking, I think. So, the K is used and the G is used. One, two. Two points only. All right. That's a K, C, F, another E. Um, let's see. Oh, we could do flock. No, we can't because the F would have to be here. H, I guess we could do um Oh, this is tough. Uh, I could do scarf and then that would be C and F and two two points.
All right, two more rounds. All right, we can't lo use the letter A. We have W and K. So FWK. Um, so W I think we definitely want to try to use. So W I'll just do work. So W K is used. That's two points. And then we have one more round. can't use the letter E. We have P, N, and H. So, we got to try to use the letter A or B up here.
Um, or I mean it could be a letter C. It's just alphabetically it has to work. So, um I will do Well, I could do ambibian. Is that how you spell it? I don't know why that doesn't look right. Um, let me just confirm that that is how I spell amphibian. It it is correct. And so I used all three. Um, I have the P, the H, and the N.
So that's three. Uh, I didn't use the E, which is good. And so that's going to be six points. And so now we just add up all the points here. So um we have 12 15 18 20 24 and then in the solo game you will compare your points here to this table. Um so we are at 24 points which is a stamp licker which is the lowest rank you can have.
Um but yeah as you can see it's a very simple game. Uh really gets you thinking. I think this is the type of game that I would uh not mind bringing on a plane just to keep my brain active, just to kind of challenge myself and not get bored. Um very easy uh travel game. Um and yeah, uh first class letters, I think.
Um there's also other variants as well. So, there's a priority mail variant and basically you roll a random letter dye to determine the priority letter for the round which you would use um for this side of the truck where you put the priority letter um here and then the red one over here. Um but yeah, I think uh interesting interesting word game that can be played solo and um hope you enjoyed this play through.
