7th Seal | Solo Board Game Playthrough | Will I Survive The Waves Overlords and Underlings?
Transcript
Hello everybody. My name is Ilia and I am one half of Coy. Now it's just me today. Why? Because I am doing a solo playthrough. And the game that I'm doing a solo playthrough of is Seventh Seal. Now this game is designed by Julio Fal again and is published by DevOps sponsor this video. Now, as a disclaimer before I get started, if I make any mistakes throughout this playthrough, I'll try to catch them on screen. So there'll be a little text that comes up or if they're later found, they'll be in the description or the comments down below. So, make sure you see that before using this to learn the game or play the game in any way because it is possible that I make mistakes because we're all human. We all make mistakes sometimes. Uh, with that said, let's go to the table. Let's give you an overview of how the game is played and let's dive into it. And we're at the table. This is seventh seal. The seal has already been opened actually, so we'll get into that in a little bit.
But our whole goal here is to defeat all the overlords and all the underlings. Well, most of the underlings because it helps defeating the overlords to prove that humanity does deserve another chance after all. Now, today we are Gilgamesh at Stonehenge. That is a recommended setup for the game, but there are four different heroes, four different sites that you can play. Now, the general flow of the game is we'll be utilizing dice to take on all of these underlinks and the overlord in hopes of trying to tinker down their health, preserve our own health, and at the end win the game, reveal the very last one and win the game. which I will say is not easy. I have not won this game yet. So maybe today we'll get lucky and we'll get to see majority of them because I have in the past lost in the very first wave. I know, I know. But that will not happen today because it will not.
With that said, let's give you a quick overview of how the turn structure works so you can get an understanding of how I'm going to play. Now, the very first part of the wave is setting up the wave. This is when the two cards from here go over here. Their health is set. And based on this icon right here, cards will come out of this deck and go onto around your hero, making it a little bit difficult for your hero because they're going to come and attack them while you're trying to deal with the overlord. Now, on your turn, you're going to roll dice. Then you'll have the opportunity to use skills to adjust those dice and then allocate those dice into either defense, trying to protect yourself, or trying to defeat the variety of different underlings and the overlord. Uh the way you'll do that is you'll want to match the conditions of each of the cards. So for example, this one, a four or a five will deal one point of damage.
However, when damage is dealt, it'll move the dice along the track. So go to here, and now the value of its attack will actually change slightly. I'll make sure that you can see that there. The way that attacks are determined is by the time tracker right here, which I'll get into a second. But that is generally the flow of the game. We're going to roll dice. We're going to assign them. We're going to attack. See, hope for the best. Then in return, the overlord and the underlings are going to attack us. If we survive, we do it again until either the overlord or us are dead. Easy peasy. Let's do it. So, step number one, we're going to roll our dice. H. Now, Turnabbog does have a condition that any ones are rolled are frozen. You cannot use them for that round. So, we have a five and a two. Now, we do know that the blue and the red sights are going to attack, which is this one. and this one. Meaning an attack of one. Let me put these under so you can kind of see what's going on.
That make it a bit easier. So we have one attack here and three attack here and two attack over here. That is not great. That is a total of six attack. But we do have a dice right here that we can potentially use to defend. But can we do anything with a two? We actually we absolutely can. We absolutely can. So what we're going to do is we're going to adjust this five into a six. We're going to place that six onto the defense, which you'll see how that works in a second. Now, this two, we're just going to place here and do damage to Erlic Han. When we do damage, this is going to go down to a three. And now we'll take two damage, which is not ideal, but it's not the end of the world. Now, we've assigned all of our dice. We're going to move on to the overlord's phase. First thing we're going to do is we're going to move the time tracker, which is his dice. And now, we're going to resolve everything under that time tracker.
First, all the underlings in blue and red will attack. So, this one will attack with two. This will attack with three, taking us down to one because the shield's pretty good. Then we get two damage from the overlord, which is not ideal because it means we're going to take one damage. Now, taking damage in this game, not ideal. It's pretty tough, but there's a way to get it back, so we'll not worry about it too too too much yet. So, we're going to collect our dice back, and that's essentially a turn. We're going to go do that again. We do get the skill markers back, which is really nice. And we have not rolled once this time, which is also really nice. So now red is going to attack. Only this one will attack and attack for three plus the four. So a total of seven. Now we do want to defeat these rather quickly because we would love to have some more dice back. Now this one actually requires two odd dice, which is not ideal cuz we roll all evens. But this one needs fours and fives, which we actually can do a decent job at. So maybe we focus on this one this time around.
But we also probably want to defend ourselves cuz taking seven damage is also not ideal. So maybe we'll do this actually. We're going to use two dice here because these are not equal. This will do two damage. And we'll place a six to defend ourselves. Not too bad. So when we do two damage, it does not actually move twice. It'll only move once into a two. It'll move down to one, but only move once. So only one damage away. And we'll take that one down. Now it's the overlord's turn. We're going to proceed this here. We're going to first attack with red. That is three. We're going to go down to three and then another four. So, remove this one and go down to four. We are 10 health now. Now, we're going to take the dice and proceed to the next turn. Ah, no ones. Fantastic. Those are high numbers. Uh, let's deal with this fellow. We're going to take this die and transform the six into a one. Does not get frozen because these are only when the dice are rolled. So then we'll place that one here. It is now defeated, meaning we get this dice for the next turn. And we also get this card's ability. Now, this is a one time ability. We can place a three here at any time on a turn if we have a three blue and it will replenish one of our dice back to full health, which is really handy. But even handier is a dice that we'll get. We still have the fives, the two fives. What are we going to do with them? We could go here cuz yellow is going to attack. So one attack here and six. So we probably should defend ourselves. So maybe we'll go here, progress this into a two, and then
change this into a six, which I should have done beforehand before signing dice technically, which for that one I did, so that's okay. And then we'll proceed to the overlord's phase. We're going to proceed to this phase. Yellow's going to attack for two, taking this down to four. Then we're going to attack for another six, taking this down another two. So this goes down to two. We're at eight health. How can we survive? Only time will tell. Now we collect our dice back and now we roll four which we love to see. Oh, look at all these sixes. Oh my goodness. What are we going to do with these sixes? We can make them into ones or ones handy. Not really. They are odd though. So now blue and yellow are going to attack. So maybe can we take out yellow? Is it possible? Oh, it is not because we can only make one five. Could we do damage here? Probably not a bad idea either. But we cannot because we have all evens. What is going on?
Actually, but what we could do is we can do this and adjust this into a let's say three and then this to change a six into a one. And we're going to place these here to do one damage to this one. Then we're going to place both of these dice to defend ourselves. 12 defense, which is quite good. Now we're going to progress on this track. Now, blue and yellow attack first. So, yellow attacks for two. Uh, we take on two damage and then this one attacks for six, taking off a dice and we are good. That was honestly pretty successful if you ask me. The problem is though is as we get closer, we could lose the game. So, we got to actually start moving fast here. And it is not helpful to move fast when we lose dice. That is not easy. Okay.
But I actually just remembered. And by remembered, I mean I checked the rule book. Not both of these get frozen. Only one of them does. So, you know what? We're going to we're going to leave one over there and we'll actually try to do some magic here. So, in this instance, the best course of action is actually to make this into a one. And then we can place both of these ones into here. Getting rid of this one, which gives us another ability. Meaning we can change any one die to another die just once though, which is great. Love to see that. And then we can assign this four into our health. Well, and you know what? Might as well make it a five while we're at it. Now, when the die progresses, we're going to take two damage here, taking us to three, and then seven damage, which unfortunately takes us to four. But we can use those four on here. So now we can use this ability to bring one of those back up, which is not a bad idea. We also ultimately could actually smart thing to do is make this into a three and make this into 31 cuz then we can use this in a really good way. So now we take even more dice.
How exciting. And roll them. Now one one does get frozen, but just one. Then we have to I think we're at a space where we have to make this into a three. Use this ability to bring this into a six cuz we have to survive. Uh now this will actually go away to the discard pile after this. And this has been used. So I'm just going to place on the card. Uh now we have these three dice. Everything is going to attack including this. So maybe we got to start dealing with this. But we can't really because we don't have the things. So the smart thing to do well is to probably go here and take this down to a one.
And then I think we have to use this. So what we're going to do is we're going to change this die to any value and we can reassign it. So I'll make five, which will clear this one and get our dice. Well, we can't use those dice again. But we do have another ability which is really nice. This card will get discarded. And now the six will get assigned to the health track cuz we got to defend ourselves. Now we'll progress. Nothing attacks us. We take six damage which is all this. And then we get all of these dice to roll. How exciting. Now the problem is here is we actually don't have a lot of opportunity to get that down. So, we really got to move quickly in order to get all that damage down.
Now, I do think this card will help us because if we roll a five or a six, we can do a damage to the boss. Only once, but I do think it'll help us in the long run. Let's roll. Okay, how do we do? We have some sixes. We have some evens. I think we can work with this. So, we'll assign this six over here to do one damage. Bring it down to five. Then I do see one, two, and you know what? Three only one to go here to go bring it down to all the way to three. And then the best we can do is just defend ourselves. So now it moves. This gets removed.
Now a new card actually gets added to here. So, a new die gets added as well, which is not ideal because the thing is is it's actually going to do some damage to us right away. And it'll do some penalties, which we'll explain in a moment. Um, and then we're going to take two and seven damage. So, a total of nine, which we have 10, so we're good. We're going to take these. We're going to take this, and we're going to see if we can do it. Come on. So, one does indeed go here. And then we have something to work with here. I do think odds are probably our best bet. So, we'll do But it is tough because I probably want to keep some of the higher ones because all of it's going to attack and we're probably going to want to ignore this. But 10 damage is a lot to take. So, interesting. Let us change this into a three. And we'll go three threes to take two damage to bring this down to one.
Uhoh. And then there's no way to do another damage, unfortunately. Do we want to damage this? No. So, we're going to go seven into our protective shield right here. So, we're going to proceed. We're going to draw another card. Oh, no. And it is another yellow. Oh, and it is pretty mighty. It's pretty mighty. So now we have one, two, three, 11 damage. We have seven. So we take four damage. We're going to take it on this die to go to two. And we're going to take everything back. And if we do not win this round, we lose. Now, we did not roll once, which is grand. But what we'll do is we'll change this into a one. We'll place these three dice into here. Um, and we'll also place this five into here just in case because health is important and we don't want to lose health. Um, and that's that's another way that the red dye can use.
Once it's placed there, it's locked forever. And might as well place these into our defense because who knows what could happen. Well, we know something bad's going to happen cuz fury effects are going to come into place. So, the boss is gone. We're going to resolve the defeat of the overlord steps first. We resolve the fury skills. We'll flip these over and we'll resolve both of them. So, this one immediately we get five damage and I do believe we can negate this with defense. So, you know what? We're going to do that. We have one. Great. But we're going to lose one of our dice forever, which is great because we put a five. So, we're still at eight health. That's actually okay. Now, these cards get discarded into their own piles. Now we'll choose a permanent seal skill. So here we can either choose another one that is like this or another one that's the plus minus. I'm going to take the plus minus because I feel like that's a better decision for me and it's a little bit more fun. Then we also get another skill marker. So we can activate all three of these. Each of these can be activated once per turn. Now we'll actually lose all of our dice except the blue that we started with and the now three black dice. We used to start with two and one. Now we start with three because we defeated the overlord. We got a little bit stronger. The rest of the dice will go back into the bag and we can proceed to the next wave.
Okay, let's see what is in front of us. So the other card gets discarded. We did not get to use it. Now we unlock the next overlord, which is the hydra. How spooky. Only five health this time. Not a whole 10. And we have two of these and one of the purples. So we have yellow. Yellow. Hopefully it's not yellow. It is yellow, which means it's actually out of reach. So that's not ideal because these two are within reach because they're touching the cards. But you can see there there's only one here. So it means we can only attack one of these two and not that one, which is a little bit troublesome.
You know what else is the worst? The first attack is from yellow. H our luck. What is going on? Two. Feel like we just got to hunker down in this first round. Four and three. Now, let's get acquainted with the effect here as well. So, this one right here means we have to roll the highest die that we roll. This one to do four two damage, you have to use four different value dice, which is crazy. Can't attack that one. Anyway, uh this one wants a six, which is not ideal with this ability. And this one's a three or a four. There are two there. It's doable. This is doable. We can do this. More cards are going to start coming out. And there's a lock symbol as well, which we'll learn about when we get there. But you know what? I think we can do it. Let's try our best.
Oh, look at that one. So, the six needs to be rerolled, which is not the end of the world because, well, it's not ideal. Oh, cuz it was a it was a blue six. But you know what? We can make this into a six. So, haha, evade it. Um, does that mean we're going to go for this fellow? See, I'm a little bit nervous because we're going to get four, six, 10, 12 damage. So, that's not ideal, but we can evade four, nine of it, which is not. And then next, we only get five. Interesting. You know what? Let's do it. I'm going to go here. Make this into a one. And then we'll make ourselves a little bit stronger. We'll go six and three. Place. Oh, we cannot place this blue one.
Well, that's okay. That's why we're going for the yellow dice. So, we can have another shield. So, nine, which is what we thought anyway. So, it's not the end of the world. So, we're going to proceed this. Here we have two, four, two, which is eight, and another four, which is 12. We have nine defense. We take three damage, bring us down to a total of five health. And you know the problem, we don't have any red dice here. So that's actually we really got to preserve our health. We got to prioritize that. So maybe that was actually a bad play, but we'll see. Take these dice back. So now it's red and it's only five. So, we we honestly could just put this five here and be done with it. But let's not get too hasty. What can we do here? We can easily defeat defeat this, which I think we will be doing. Do we want to start doing some damage to this one as well? Probably.
Um, so yes, this five is going to go here. Then we're going to make we're going to make one of these sixes into a four to go here. And then we're going to make the six one into a six to take this out. And let's see what ability we get. We get this ability, which means we can do a plus or minus to two different dice, which is handy. We'll definitely use that. So now it's the boss's turn. The overlord, he goes here. He does five damage to us. If we negate that five damage, we take our dice back and we go for another roll. This one slides down.
So now it is accessible. How fun. So now we're getting three eight damage if we don't do anything about it. And unfortunately, another boss will come out. Uh I did not reoll the die last time. So you know what? I'm going to reoll it twice this time to make up for it cuz that's that's how it works. Interesting. Interesting. Now, probably should try to get rid of that one. Um, can I I could I could just assign two dice and get rid of it. I don't hate that. We probably don't want to do damage this time around because that's tricky because he'll go up to six. Uh, can we do damage there? Uh, if all are the same. No, we can't cuz we got to protect ourselves.
Uh, okay. This feels a little bit wasteful. We go three, four, five. No, cuz we don't want to take that much damage. That is silly. Okay, how much are we going to take? We're going to take five. One. So, only eight. But the problem is is if we do eight, we can only assign these two. We'll assign them or we can adjust I keep forgetting to take these off. We can adjust one here to make this into a or to make this. Oh, we'll have to use both to make this into a three. I forgot what this was, but we're not using it, so it's okay. So then this comes off. Let's see what the ability is here. Now, this ability is decent because it actually allows us to move the one of the dice on the underlings back, which you know what? We'll take.
That's not too too bad. Um, it is the Overlord's turn. We're going to proceed. We're going to draw one of these cards. It is a red. And we're going to draw a dieice. I don't know why it's so instinctive to roll a die, but you don't need to do that. Last play right here. So, you can see only one damage. That's not too bad, but to do one damage, you got to have a combined of nine. That's That's pretty hefty. Um, we'll take these back. Oh, wait. No, we don't take these back. We have eight damage. Uh, we're going to get dealt two plus five, which is seven. So, we are going to take them back. If one survives, we're okay. Take these skills back. And then we're going to proceed to the next round.
Now, now would be a good time to actually go over what this does. The lock actually means we're going to lock one of our black dice for the next round, which is not ideal. Now, this one is going to attack. We're going to get a total of six damage this round. Uh, so I think it is probably time to do some damage to the hydra. What we can do is we can turn one of these ones into a six. So that's 12. If we get 20, you get to do two damage. We're pretty far from 20. Well, you know what? We can do this. You use this one here to adjust two of these. So, we're going to make it go to four. And then, might as well do two more to do another six. So, now we have 18.
And then let's go to 21. I probably could have adjusted that better, but let's go here. Make this into a three. Put these into here to defend ourselves, which I actually don't think is enough. Did I do an oopsie? Maybe I did, but you know what? That's okay. Uh, we'll then proceed to the overlord. We'll move. We're going to lock one of our dice. So, let's lock for the next round. Then red's going to attack two damage. Two. And then six more here, which brings us down to one health. Apparently, we like to live on the edge. That is the motto. But we're going to take the dice back and we're going to see what we can do here. So, now it's blue and red that attack.
So we have red here doing one damage and a nine here. So that is a total of 10. Holy moly. Okay. And that is ridiculous. That's so many dice. Uh can we kill the hydra? No. That is too strong. 200 damage here. No. That's also hard. That fury is going to get us, I think. Um, we do have a red die that we can adjust to here. So, in theory, we could make it into a one and then make it into a six to place onto the health track, which I don't mind. Then, we're going to make this six into here. We're going to make this one into a two. We're going to place all these twos into here to do one more damage.
Look at that. Go. and then put the four here to preserve ourselves. Now, we're going to move on to the fury track. We're going to take damage from blue and red. So, no blue, but there is red. So, 1 + 9 is 10. Get rid of those 10, and we're good. Now, tricky part. We're going to take our dice back, including our lock dice, which is nice. And let's do a roll. Okay. Can we kill it? We probably should. What's the worst the fury can do? Probably pretty bad things. But you know what? Let's Let's not worry about that now. Can we even do it? Um, yeah. We can make this one into a six.
So now we are at 16. This is 20. And just for safekeeping, Let's put these here. See what happens. So, we have killed the overlord. Bam. We're going to resolve the fury skills of these two. Number one, nine damage. We take seven and two, which puts us down to four. Not ideal. Not ideal. And then now I'm actually not sure when this one would get added. So, you know what we're going to do? We're actually going to add it right away and resolve its fury ability because I don't think it carries over into the next round. I could be wrong, but if I am wrong, I'll put the little title on screen. But we will take three damage, which brings us to a measly two health. Oh no. Both these will get discarded.
Then we're going to choose one of these two cards to take. Now, this one lets us use any die as another colored die, which is nice. I'll take it. And this one lets us roll all the ones, which you know what? These are pretty good. I think I like the flexibility in the color. So, I'm going to choose this one. Bam. Bam. Bam. We're getting even stronger. Come on, Gilgamesh. Show us how it's done. And of course, we get another skill token. Look at us go. We now get four starting dice and a blue. The rest go into the bag. Our health remains what it is. This one we did not use, so it actually gets discarded. And it is time to proceed to the next round. Let's discard this two first.
Now, let's set up wave number three. We have Who do we have here? We have Sup. Now, Sup has six health. Six health is a lot. And uhoh, we're in trouble. Two yellow. You have a blue, a yellow. Oh, no more. No more of yellow. We didn't see that. Uh, then we have two of these. Another yellow. And another yellow. Uhoh. And then one of purple. Another yellow. Oh my goodness. Oh, this one actually could be a red. So, let's put this as a red just to give us some flexibility because some of them have two and you can choose where they go. Uh, let's roll the five dice for them.
Oh, we don't roll them. We just randomly assign. So, two, four, three, and two. and three. Let's do it. My battery died, so we're a day older, but we are back on wave three. Now, I did I will say I forgot to roll the highest roll dice quite a lot in the last wave session. So, I feel like losing health would be a good repayment for that, but I only have two. So, we're going to forgive me because sometimes you just make mistakes and that's okay. But let's get back to this overlord. We have Sup there permanent ability. We have to lock one of these.
Now, I think it has to be the color cuz our color is going to be that detrimental to us. Like, that needs to be blue. But, we have all these black dice and we have these blue dice. So, I think I'm going to lock the color for the entire game. So, we cannot use that one for the entire game. Now, with two health, I'm not too optimistic, but maybe we can make this work. Now, everything attacks, which is scary, but let's roll the dice and find out how we do. Okay, so we have five dice that do variety of things. Now, I want this pink dye because I do want health. Uh, we're going to get attacked for three. Yellow dye locked. We have no yellow dice.
That's okay. Uh we have another one damage here. Another three damage here and another one. So five, three, so eight total, which honestly is not the worst to do damage to this one. If we have two dice above four, that deals two damage. That kills it automatically. So you know what? I think I'm going to do that. I'm going to make is it these? These make sense. Yes. So we're going to do this, which kills it. So, we get these back to our supply and a new ability. Haha, the one that we blocked. So, we can change the die to another color. Um, I do think it's smart to probably make this into an eight or a 12. And then, can we do anything with a one? We can. We can do damage here, but then the one will stay on this one, which you know what I don't hate. Let's do that. We're going to go one, two. So, this die is locked. It does not matter if it's red. It is locked until we defeat it. So, maybe that was a little preemptive, but you know what? I like it. Let's keep with it. That's die.
We have these two, which I'm going to put into defense. That's us. Okay, proceed to here. All of them activate. This one locks a yellow dye. We do not have a yellow dye, so that's okay. No dye will be locked. Uh, nothing here. One damage here, two damage here, three damage there. So that's total of six damage taking one of these off. I could have placed a die here instead. But then if I did, it would have dealt us five damage. So I don't think it's worth it. So that's good. We like that. We'll proceed to collect her dice back except for this one because it is locked. So we'll take these three. This one. This one. And let's do a roll. Oh, look at all these sixes. If only sixes meant Well, it's pretty good for here.
But we're going to get seven damage and red. I do think we have to defeat the red. So, we're going to take this back, make a six into a one, and then we're going to place it here to do one, two, defeated. We also have another ability which lets us move back on one of these tracks. So, that's not a bad thing because we could essentially do damage here once and then come back so it doesn't do any damage. Uh, we also want to pay attention to this one now. Oh, this one actually would go here. Uh, because now we can attack it. We do want to pay attention to it because it's going to lock our yellow dye every time it attacks. It's not going to attack now. So, we're only getting seven damage.
Ideally, I think we do have to place two dice, but is there Actually, you know what? I rolled a six. Let's place the six here. to give us some health. And then we could do two even here and do a damage because it won't do anything. But then we take seven damage. We don't want to take seven damage. So we're going to go here. Defend this for six. Yeah, I think we just got to defend this time around. That's that's just the way the cookie crumbles. Let's do it. Okay, so we proceed to here. Red attacks. There's no red, but seven. We negate all of that damage. Then we take back all of our dice, which there's a good amount now. And let's see what we get.
Okay, messy dice. Cool. A lot of ones. So, probably not ideal to go for that one unless we actually we could boost it with this one. Make it make one into a six. Um, we do draw another monster, which is not ideal, but do we want to deal with any of the This one's only two, but it requires quite a lot of dice. And all the both of these attack which is means the yellow dy is going to get locked. Um do we have two sets of evens? We have one even. We can make uh we could you know what? Let's give us a winning chance. I think let's give us a chance to do this. So I'm going to do a here here to make this four into a three into a four. one into a two and then one into a six.
Now we're going to place even even. So bam bam dies. Oh, we can reroll two dice, which I don't hate, but I don't think I'm going to use cuz we're only going to take one damage. That's not the end of the world. So we're going to place these two into here. So then we're going to resolve. We're going to go here first. We're going to draw a purple. Just going to go to the red side. Let's get a dye for that purple. Ooh, a health dye. I like the sound of that. Then, uh, yellow resolves. So, yellow die gets locked. So, this one's going to get locked. And then five damage is dealt. We have three. So, we take two damage, which you know, I'm going to lose one of these cuz maybe we'll get it back. put it back into the bag and go down to five.
Then we will take our dice and make some magic happen. Okay. See, I'm not really too worried about this one cuz if it's not being damaged, then that's okay. But it probably has a pretty nasty fury ability. H 20 here is also not bad. So what we could do maybe it's time to do some damage there. So let's turn this into a one the one to a six. So that's 12. 12. This is 20 technically. Now how much damage are we going to get? We're going to get 8 plus 6. That is a lot of damage. We do not want that. So maybe we don't want to attack it.
I think we have to deal a damage to this cuz six attack is not acceptable. We could reroll some dice because these low values we got to deal with. But then the threes H cuz if this can be a we can also make this into a three. Yeah, I think that's the route. So we're going to make this into a three. Going to put these here. Do two damage to it or one damage to it. Put down to two. And then we have these sixes which are going to be our defense die. And can we do anything with this five? We could do some damage here because it's not being activated. So I have to reroll my five and hope it's a four or higher. Let's see it. Nice. Four or higher. So now we go down to two, which is I don't know if that was smart.
I don't know if that was smart, but that's okay cuz we're going to get that die back. So now we proceed to here. Uh, yellow or sorry, a black die gets locked. Let's lock this one. Then blue and red get resolved. Uh, two damage here, eight damage here. So, 10 total. Bam. Uh, now we get this die back. These dice dice back. And then we proceed. And we have all these abilities we got to use. Let's make this happen. Okay, not too too bad. So, we are proceeding to the next round. We're get nine damage from the overlord and the underlings are not helping because there's going to be two damage here, four damage here, and zero damage here.
So, that's a total of 15 damage. Um, do we want to tackle the overlord? Probably not. I want to probably get one more dice. I think we can get rid of this guy. Let's see if we're lucky. So, we have to roll a dieice that's five or higher, and it has to be four or higher. So, we kind of have 50/50 odds of doing a damage. Let's see it. Oh, look at that. A five. Well, so that's one. We go down to one. And then let's do it with this yellow five. Let's do it again. Let's see if we're two for two. We are lucky. Okay, so that is five and five. This one's gone. We get a new ability which is move one underlink to any area which is quite nice actually because it means we can potentially move some so they don't trigger. Do we want to do that? Do we want to put this into blue? Cuz it's the only time it's going to be really useful is now. Yeah, let's do it. Let's put this into blue.
It has two health. We'll discard this. Move these around. We still have these abilities. Uh we still have these dice as well. So, let's not forget about these dice. So, we are still getting nine damage. Uh, how do we prevent ourselves? We could easily defend. That's not a problem. Do we want to do some of the damage here? You know what? We could. We're going to go one here. And you're thinking, Ilia, why would you do that? You're going to get damage. Well, I'm not because what I'm going to do is I'm going to use this ability uh discarding this card to move the die back. So, it still does zero. But then we're one step closer to getting this one. You know what? Something spicy I could do. I could do could make the six into a one.
Is that living on the edge though? It is. I'm not going to live on the edge. Let's go into here. So, that is nine. And then with this four, I will not do anything. That is it. Uh, I could reoll it or change its color, but that doesn't help. Does that help? No, it does not help. Yeah, I'm okay with that. So, then we proceed. Yellow and red trigger. And red any ones with a red die trigger again. So, we have two and nine. Total of 11. So, we do take two damage. Bring us down to four health. That is not ideal. Not ideal at all. Now we're going to take these dice back. We're going to take this black dice back as it's now unlocked. Take all these dice and this one. So we are dice rich.
Uh this time everything attacks that attacks for six. I think we got to start doing some damage to the boss. Okay, overlord. I'm coming for you. Let's make this one into a six. So we have 6 six 9 12 and 9 is 21. We can replace this five so that it's exactly 20. We're going to place it here and they're all blue. So this goes down to four. Now we're going to get six damage plus two and any with a blue die. So we're going to get eight a total of eight damage. So we could adjust this to a two. So make sure we get no damage from it. Um, and then what can we do here? Can't really deal with this because it needs three. Can't deal We could deal with this. I deal with it twice. No, cuz I have to have a blue dye.
But you know what we could do? We could do this and this instead. So that protects us. And then what we're going to do is we're going to change this into a blue dye to hit it for one. Bring it down to a two. And then we're going to hit it again to a one. And now it still does no damage, which is really handy. I like that. We proceed to here. We get all the blue die activate. Nothing happens here. All of these activate. So 2 + 6 is eight, which will negate with these. We'll take these back. Take these back. And then let's keep going. I think this is looking promising for us. So immediately, let's get rid of this guy. That is enough. We flip it over.
Oh, another roll. We love to see that. Um, and then so that is these two dice we cannot use. We have all of these. They're quite low, which is not ideal. And they're less blue, which is also not ideal. We probably should have used some other mechanisms here. Um, let us get So, we're gonna get eight damage plus two, so 10. Um, so this probably we want to do here because we can't really use that anyway. And then might as well do another four. And then this one was turned to a six. And then how short are we? We have nine 12. Uhoh. Uhoh. Oh no. Okay. So, we can up a couple, but we can't get all fours, which is frustrating. So, we could deal with this guy. Maybe just do one damage, but then we take on more damage, which is not ideal cuz 12. But, we can defend it. Honestly, probably not a bad idea. So, we're going to make this into a three. Put three of dice here to make this into a three. So, it's or into one health away.
And then with these with this die, we can put it here. Just defend ourselves a little bit more, which is helpful. We want to defend ourselves. Uh then we'll progress. All the yellow dice activate. There is none. Then this one deals four 12. So we have shielded the 12. We take back our dice and we are ready for the next phase. It's going to be a close one. Now, we do have some bad news. Now, we're going to get nine damage, but we're also going to have to destroy one of our dice each and every time that we play. So, that's going to keep triggering because that's the infinity symbol right there. Um, so we may want to get this cuz extra health would not be too too bad. Uh, but is it worth it? Probably. Let's see it.
Oh, those are low. Uhoh. I think we got to get rid of this and then just defend ourselves this time. So, what we'll do is we'll change this into a one. Uh, but then, yeah, that's okay. Let's try it. We'll change it to into one. And we have these three ones, which will get rid of this. Now, we're only getting nine damage, but a die is being destroyed. And we can change any die to any value, which is really handy. Oh, I forgot to roll these. We have a lot of dice. Oh, we are dice rich. And these are blue. Ha. Okay. Well, we can turn this into a six. So, now we have 10 20. Bam. Bring this to a two.
And then, oh, this is a power round. We're a powerhouse. Uh, we probably want to try to preserve some more damage. So, we're going to make this into a four and then protect ourselves. So, now we are sitting at uh we progress here. We have to destroy a die. Says destroy this yellow one. And then we have nine damage that is to be dealt to us. So we will take seven seven of it. Now we are back to two health. This feels eerily familiar. It's like we've been here before. Okay, we're going to take our dice back. We have a lot of dice. Let's take back these tokens and let's defeat it. I think this is uh bam, bam, bam.
There's 20 right here. Gone. So, no fury track resolutions. That is fantastic. We love to see it. And uh we get a new card. Let's see what it is. We can roll a dieice or assign more dice for defense. You know what? I like the roll. Let's do that. Now we'll gain we'll discard this. We'll gain our last icon. The ability gets gone. Now we should have five wild dice which is great. One blue dye and then the rest. Okay. Okay. Listen to me very carefully. Uh in our last turn before attacking the boss, we're going to use the skill icon to make this one into a six and then assign that six into our health because we want to be prepared for the next round. So shh, we did it. We're okay.
But now we're going to return the skill tokens cuz we have them. We're going to return these dice back to the bag and we'll prepare for the final showdown. Last wave. Let's do it. So, oh, unfortunately, we actually lose all these abilities as well because you don't get to keep them round to round, which is not bad. Gilgamesh, we're good. We're okay. Here's the final overlord, Shindra. Now, Shindra is gonna start with five health, and there's a lot of underlings that are drawn. We are in trouble. But Shindra does not have an ongoing ability, so we are actually okay on that front. Okay, let's start off with three of these. We have We have red, yellow, and another yellow.
Now, we have one of these, which is a blue. So, we're surrounded. We have one of these, which is another blue, and two of these, which is which are both red. Holy moly. I'm going to place this one here. We'll remember that it kind of cascades cuz well, actually, Hades we cannot reach because Hades is more than two away. So now we're going to draw a bunch of dice for all of these and then try to devise a strategy of how we're going to do this. So we have a five here, a three right here, another three right here. Look at all these blue dice. A four right here. A three right here.
And more. Should we draw more? Is that what is going to happen? I guess so. Okay. and one. Okay, I won't sugarcoat this. This is not great. This is a lot of underlings to deal with. There's not an easy way to kind of get through all of them. And unfortunately, a lot of them there's no lowhanging fruit. Like last time we had some low hanging fruit. We went bam bam and we got some damage down. Um I don't mind this one actually because three damage to do three. Like we could get this die pretty fast which will replenish our health. Uh, but let's roll our dice and let's make a strategy. Okay, what do we Okay, so we can reroll a dieice. So, I feel like dice here are going to be critical. We're going to start getting attacked by these folks, then the reds, which is actually horrible cuz that is 210. We're going to get attacked for 19 next round. So, we probably want to deal with these. But the problem is is Hades.
We have to lose two dice to deal with him, which is easy. Losing two dice sucks. Um, so we're going to get seven damage this time, which I like I feel is okay for us to just cover. So maybe we do actually deal with imod good. So we just have to have three dice that are four or higher, which we do. Do we go for it? Yeah, let's do it. We're going to place four dice here. do three separate attacks. One, two, three. Gone.
Now, we do have this ability. Now, this is the ability I like. We can assign it here and actually prevent the die from advancing, which is great because if we do it now, we actually won't get attacked. Uh, which you know what I'm going to do right now. Bam. Assigned. So, this is discarded. This will not advance. So, we'll put a dice here to remember. So, that gives us some leeway. These do shift over. Now, I don't think I want to lose dice, but we do have a freebie. So, maybe what we could do. Yeah, you know what? Let's do this. We're going to sign these three into here to do three damage, which puts it in hell into one, which I like. Then we're done. Wait a minute. I messed up.
These unfortunately are the dice I used to get rid of that one. So we cannot do that. So we're going back to four. But I can still do a similar thing. I can adjust two of these or just honestly make one of them into a six. Then there are three different values. So same deal, same but different as they say. One, which you know, I don't mind. Not the end of the world. We're going to take our dice back. Take this one back. It does not advance. So, we get another we get a freebie. And then we do it again. Oh, look at that roll. I don't hate this. I truly don't. Especially now that we have an extra die cuz we can deal with this in another turn.
But why don't we do that? Cuz that's only six damage. So, we'll take six to protect ourselves. Let's kill this. We need two or three to kill it. Let's place a three right here. Gone. So these dice, we get this. Oh, which is a damage to the boss. Oh, love that. Um, we want four of the same dice or three of them equal 13. Now we have eight. Eight and five equal 13. I don't hate that. Let's do that. Going to four. Let's use this ability to do another one damage to go into three. And that's a stellar start to the round.
So, we have one left. Can we do anything with that one? We could, but we get some damage. You know what? That's okay. We're going to go here. Two. Which, you know what? I'm okay with. Let's go for it because we can do that. Now, the die advances. Yellow attacks. So, 3 + 5 is eight. We remove this. Make this into a four. We're sitting at six health. Now we take back the dice that we have used into this little beautiful clump of dye. Now you're saying, Ilia, why don't you focus on Shindra? We can just get rid of her. Well, the problem is is if we get rid of her, there's a lot of these fury effects that could kill us, which would not be ideal. Don't hate that. Should we just get rid of it? Red is attacking. I think we have to deal with Hades. So, I think unfortunately we're going to lose a die here.
And what die do we not care about? I think blue we don't care about. There's so many. We're going to lose these two dice to get rid of Hades. Ooh, complete. You know, we're using this immediately cuz why not? We're going to make these into sixes. We are mighty and powerful now. Let's go. Okay. Uh, we use these dice. Oh, these are actually gone. So, let's Uh-oh. Blue. These ones are used. The yellow one we get. So, these ones go back. We lose them. They're gone forever. Now, we have these dice. We are getting seven damage plus five. Five is not ideal. Let's see if we can get three different. Let's do this. Push this into one to three. because yeah I or four sorry it's only one damage one damage is better so eight we have to defend which we could which is fine let's do that so eight we're defending so we put nine here and then this one will do another damage here putting us down to one I feel like we are on a roll here I am not trying to jinx anything but I I'm feeling hopeful so we advance one red attacks one plus 7 8 defended Gone. Good. Uh, we take our dice back.
Bam. Bam. We didn't. Yep. This one. And then we roll. I think with this amount of health, I want to risk it. Do we go for it? I think we go for it. So, we're going to do these two, one and two, to adjust this into a three and this into a three. And I go bam for four. Two damage. Oh my goodness. Where was I? Here. Yep. Cuz we just did red. Yep. Then you know what? We kill it. I'm going to do the risky thing. With this much health, I think we have a chance. So the overlord is dead. What does that mean? We resolve the fury effects of all any underlings are not defeated. Let's go one by one. This one immediately lose nine health. Um, okay. Let's go.
Let's Let's do this strategically. So, we're going to go 9 - 12 is 12 - 9 is 4. So, we're going to make these into twos or one into two. One, one into three. Okay, we're at eight health. This one's gone. Now we have this one. So, we immediately gain one of these. So, in this case, this is a permanent ability. We have to reroll all of our sixes. So, this actually does not matter. It does not hurt us. We're okay. Then we have this. We immediately reroll our highest red dye. Oh, we did lose some health there. We're down to five. And a moment of truth. Do we win the game?
It's an ongoing ability where fours are frozen and not used. And that is the game. We have defeated the last overlord and one seventh seal. Ugh, I did not think we were going to do that. That was incredible. But that is seventh seal. As you can see, you fight through a lot of overlords, demons, fiends, using dice, using that role, adjusting that role, using all of the skill tokens, and trying to get to a place where you are successful after all. Now, as I mentioned earlier, there are other heroes you can play with. we have here they are and you'll have other locations as well which give you a variety of different starting dice setup and different abilities as well that you can utilize. So the combinations are truly quite a lot and you can see because these were face down they were actually chosen from a deck of the seal cards. There's quite a lot of other sealed cards with different deities and monsters and fiends and overlords that you can face. And each of the games plays fairly different. But that has been my very first playthrough by myself without Tyler. What did you think? If you have any questions about this game, please leave a comment down below.
