Okay, so the farmers, loggers, and woodworkers of Falcon's Hollow have lived a simple and prosperous life these past 10 years. Ever since the den of monsters in nearby Troll Scars Crag was cleared out by adventurers. But what do you know? The mountain has begun to belch smoke and restless dead have poured forth from the depths to terrorize the citizens of Falcon Hollow. Who should have known that something like this was coming? This happened like 10 years ago. Find a new hollow people. That's right, it's Pathfinder Quest from Piso. In this initiation to adventure, one to four players take the role of heroes, saving the hapless, hearty homesteaders from the growing darkness. So, what makes this sweet standalone game different? Well, Pathfinder Quest features the core elements of the popular system of the Pathfinder role playing game and streamlines the experience for an elegant and adventurous foray into an ongoing narrative campaign. Setup is super easy.

There's a short introduction to creating a character by selecting an ancestry, a background, and most importantly, a class. You've got your classics like fighters, clerics, rogues, wizards, as well as the Pathfinder spin on range-based rangers and heracularbased oracles. Can we talk about the Oracle for a second? In addition to being a conduit of divine power granted through visions of sacred troops and glimpses of grand mysteries, she can also start the game with a spell called soul siphon at level one. We're siphoning souls this early. What? You know what else? She can infeeble you. Make you all weak. Nice noodly arms you got now, huh? Players use the adventure book to guide their play, setting up scores of encounters, maps, and evil enemies. Featuring a variety of story impacting choices, the campaign has branching narratives driven by the actions of the players. You can check out the campaign for Pathfinder Quest at the link in the description below. Or if you live in the future, pick up Pathfinder Quest at your friendly local game store. Oh, and if you're in the future, send some visions back in time to present me. When am I going to get rid of these noodly arms?
