Thrown Under the Bus - The Board Game of Office Politics
hi graduates it's Stella from Maple University and this is Stella's short and sweet preview for throne under the bus the game of office politics who was that lazy jerk that drank the last of the coffee and did not start a new part this will get me noticed right [Music] it was my idea to execute your idea well those are real office problems right people well I need to outsmart my fellow workers and be the first one that reaches senior vice president by any means necessary including throwing my fellow workers [Music] the game plays two to six players with mechanics such as deck building take that and action point allowance the game is of light complexity Throne under the bus is a game where you want to be ahead in the office and play that office politics game in this case literally a game you'll be playing your cards crashing and adding cards to your deck playing meme cards to your opponent's desk and to add up the points each round and to get the top score first and win on your turn you start with five cards you have five actions you can play a card face down on any five slots on your desk you can delegate or play a card on other players desk except Monday face down you can take the day off or we call it tekasiki just place your token above a slot do nothing else but other players can still play cut on that slot you can learn new things yes yes sometimes you gotta do work at work put your token above a day trash a card from hand and take a random face down card to your hand when all players have used all the tokens the round ends time for Friday meeting all cards in hand are put back on each player's own draw piles then the associate of the week AKA first player calls out day by day starting Monday where everyone reveals their own cards which solve action cards immediately otherwise continue till all cards on all days are revealed check the top right math equation and that's your score that round funds or go back on the board track now you can see why you want to put nasty cards like Time Zero or minus four to your opponent's desk although be careful they get some of these cards when they need to shuffle their cards back into their decks after round results everyone draws to five cards in hand and game continues the player who reaches the 41 points first becomes the senior vice president hopefully that's me and wins the game and the game of office politics surely shown everyone else the boss under the bus so which character you want to be will the Yes Man Steph who seems to be always away or Sharon who likes to control everything each character starts with the same type of cards though have different thematic flavor attacks on them will is pretty much yes yes sir Steph well where is Steph Sharon all Sharon knows everything that goes around the office your starter cards are the accounting cards straightforward the math equation is the part that you look at when resolving the realm the cards you draw from the deck though that is a collection of fun and random things you can put out fires by discarding the card on the day before this useful when you think your opponent has put something nasty on the previous slot minus six card once of use preferably placed on opponent's desk plus five cards lunch with the boss we need to leverage our value proposition to ah what um oh and many more cards speaking about cats in the final game these Silhouettes will be replaced with Kickstarter back portraits want to be gamified and as everyone knows Monday is a very busy and important day usually for everyone you cannot put your card on opponent's Monday slot at least you have influenced what you do on Monday and cannot be sabotaged front under the bus is a fun light thematic game that should be taken light-heartedly like your job I mean I like your jobs lots of other situations and jokes for fun and games so thanks for watching folks check out Throne under the bus project page I'll put the link in the description below the components featured in this video are prototyped so rules in our are not final you would help us buy like the video subscribe and hit the bell and comments below if you want me to make more of these videos I also share my board games Journey on Instagram hopefully I will see you there too see you next time
