HeroQuest: First Light - Unboxing & Overview

[Music] hey there again board game Brody here with another unboxing video this time it's the new version of hero Quest hero Quest first light while I unbox this game I will give an overview of the game so you can not just see what's inside of this box but maybe learn a thing or two with this overview new to heroquest well here's what makes hero Quest unique one player takes the role of zargon the evil Sorcerer And controller of the game the other players assume the roles of the heroes the Barbarian the dwarf the elf and The Wizard there are 10 sequential gameplay sessions called quests each Quest is described in detail in the quest book that is included in this game one Quest may take an hour or two to play with each subsequent Quest increasing in difficulty during a quest a hero May acquire valuable Treasures these riches may be used between quests to purchase weapons and armor from the Armory the heroes must work together to defeat zargon and his forces of dread you win or lose as a team additional quests are available in the quest packs sold separately and subject to availability been here before well welcome back there are no rules changes from the 2021 hero quest game system however first light includes 10 new quests Dragon miniature and game card the dwarf starting weapon is a hand axe instead of a short sword four unique hero Miniatures are included and there are double-sided game board with differentiated layouts hero Quest is a fantasy Adventure game that sends Heroes to the corners of the world from Winding Stone labyrinths to the lofty Heights of the Elven kingdoms to The Frigid reaches of the realm and Beyond the rooms and the corridors of each environment are controlled by zargon and the evil Sorcerers forces of dread four Valiant Heroes that's you have been summed by Mentor the good and ancient Sage for the ultimate heroic challenge descend into a treacherous world of the unknown and restore honor to the realm destroy the forces of dread stepping cautiously they Journey deeper and deeper into a hidden world now the object of this game and when you're zargon you play an evil sorcerer where your end goal is to destroy the realm and the heroes however your goal as zargon is to serve as the game master as well you will guide the heroes through their quests providing a seamless play experience and revealing necessary information as indicated by the rule book and the quest book the best way to do this is by reading the sections of the rules designated for argon as carefully as possible prior to or during play now if you're the heroes yes that's you again as a hero your object in hero Quest is to answer mentor's Call to Adventure by completing quests quests take approximately 1 to two hours like I said before to complete and they end when the heroes have achieved the quest goal it is only there that you are truly free from harm let's meet the heroes the Barbarian begins with the most powerful starting weapon the broadsword the dwarf starting weapon is a hand axe they also possess intuition a special knack for disarming traps the elf starts with a short sword they are a good fighter and have some knowledge of the magical Arts the elf begins each quest with three magic spells the wizard starts with a small dagger and they have a great knowledge of magic and are a master spellcaster they begin each quest with nine magic spells however they are hindered by their inability to wear most armor or use large weapons and I hope that gives you a good idea of what this game provides from my overview or from what you are seeing and looking at from what's inside this box whether you're new to heroquest or a returning experienc player you might be able to find something enjoyable in this tried and true fantasy dudgeon crawl game again this is Brody with let's table it where we're going to get this game to the table please like And subscribe to our Channel we are working hard to bring to you videos like this one so you know if these games are ones that you want to get to your own table [Music]
