Sirens : The Deep Sea - Immersive cooperative campaign board game.
hello graduates it's Stella from mle University and this is Stella's short and sweet preview for Sirens to Deep Sea from Forgotten [Music] Tales oh hello land folks we Sirens are the guardians of the ocean we work together wave after wave of events pun intended building buildings Gathering the pretty I meant useful resources like this thing on above beautiful pear we are fighting enemies which come our way all to restore the balance of Gua ah what a big job but we are having fun as well ah here's my ride turn the turtle bye the game plays one to four players with mechanics such as cooperative play pick up and deliver and Tech three the game is of medium complexity in Sirens the deep sea we are Sirens working with other players achieving different scenario objectives swimming around to restore the buildings build new buildings upgrade your skill and weapons getting more Liv stream and spirit currency to be ready for whatever the scenario throw at us each player controls a serign character with asymmetric Powers comes with a cool right you've met my Turtle tent isn't he cute I'm going to basee my explanation on sari one of the scenarios where some of the objectives is to restore the capital building Durant to build a few other buildings and to defend Durant but there are many other scenarios to choose from including tutorial scenario and make your own scenario each turn you complete your action points or here it's called the movement points then it goes to the next player after all players done turn your helpful NPC character the caran do its turn then the game aka the bad Fox takes its turn then move to the next set of T where the scenario wilderfield next objectives or enemies arrive on the board or helpful creatures appear or the next story may appear mess in the bottle movement or action points you mainly use to move around the board crafting equipment attacking enemies some actions are free like picking up resources at its relevant building and trading with other sirens and some actions although free and your turn like repairing or building buildings the game is a big world that you can explore like a Sandbox game with some objectives that you need to focus on while increasing your skills oh magician I want to gain a useful skill so many things to choose from can you help I can help you child I'm aliser the magician life's full of tough choices isn't it but I'm a very busy magician and I haven't got all day uh well okay I want to be able to use the boomerang skill properly you know the kind that can kick batfish butts well fortunately I know a little magic or the right resources when you visit the magician building you can do your skill upgrade each player has asymmetric skill sets and resource Cost needs to be paid to gain the skill this is like your Tech Tree each skill may also unlock the next ones they also skills you obtain by paying with your spirit points you can Spirit points by meditation or other means some buildings may already exist at the start of scenario While others you'll need to pay the right resources to construct them production buildings you build next to the resource that you may find when exploring gives the refined version of the resource usually what you want sometimes you need to defend buildings from enemies enemies may appear according to the storyline and at some point you'll battle them attack using siren dice or unlock different bonus dice adding to your attack stats the defender rols individ ual defend dice adding to the defense stats like Dodge dice if you win the battle that's pretty much what you want you roll the loot die and get new magical resources and spirit points if you have special skills you can use why not use them like Boomerang using one of the attack dies of opponent to damage the opponent H take that back you you evil octopus h drop opponent's Health to zero and you win drop your own health to zero well you'll respond in the main building at half Health once you've completed your scenario whether you win or lose you can play the same one again try different strategy or try a different scenario there are many games within scenarios like the whale that appears swimming across the board approach it and try to roll the right combination of dice to gain scales which can be exchanged with legendary equipment different elevation of terrains not only they look good on the table you know but they may provide different challenges it cost you more to move up the level other challenges are the current in between your TS it may push characters to a Direction so strategizing your movement beforehand is one of the keys to have efficient turn the game feels like an immersive video game of Adventure in a board game form think Diablo a video game I still play number four you do what you want while keeping an eye on the objectives while at times the game fights back trying enemies or other fun surprises your way all of
