And be sure to check out Trading Card Market, the very best in sports cards, trading cards, trading card supplies, LEGOs, and so much more. TradingCardMarket.com, the best in all your gaming needs. This video is really hard for me. Um And the reason I left the camera on, wanted to make sure I brought the box up to show you what we're talking about. We are going to be uh taking a look at a system and a company that pretty much is kind of dead. But the shame of it is this is a pretty good game. Uh I'm just going to go over some of the basics and show you some of it because I I I tell you making this video is kind of disheartening. And I'm talking about Pathfinder Quest.

Let's go down. We'll talk more on the other side. So, I'm not going to go over everything. Um very simple rulebook. Um there's not a lot to it. Uh you are going to get a lot of of uh uh tokens and characters and stuff like this for it. Uh this There's only about God, I want [snorts] to um It really is a dumbed-down version of of uh Pathfinder. Um and uh as you can see, there is a total of jeez, I want to say Yeah, 15 pages. Um you're going to be able to level your characters up to level eight. Uh everything's on standee, which I I don't mind at all. Uh so, you know, you're you're you're going to have your standees here, and you're going to move from zone to zone, and then of course, uh deal you know, uh commit to combat, which you'll be rolling on these dice.

Uh you will come with an adventure record and of course like some character sheets. Uh you're going to want to print these. They give you one. Uh the adventure booklet is really where it works here. So, um this is how many hit points your characters are going to have uh and your enemies. Excuse me, I'm showing you the enemies. But uh you can build your uh rogues and they're they're going to have each card as they go up um in level as you can see, level five, level one. Uh how much defense they're going to be. Uh everything is just really simplified. Uh and you can go to level two, you'll have hit points, uh weapon, your first attack will be two dice, um and three dice, and so forth and so on. How you recover, aid, healing touch, uh especially for the cleric here.

Um and aid and and and other kind of perception checks and stuff like that that you're going to have. Everything is laid out for you. You'll have equipment that you'll have. And there are just a ton of tiles, uh all different shapes and so forth and and whatnot in here. You're going to have uh damage markers. Uh turned uh uh uh uh a turn dial basically here. As you can see. Uh let's see what else we could show you in here cuz there's a lot you get a lot in the box. But it feels a little too little, too late uh uh you know, uh kind of thing. And um the thing that it's a very, very um uh you know, you're going to you know, like for this one here, you're going to start with a fighter and you're going to have to go and check out all these exploration sites, which will have a story, which will tell you I'll you what's going on with it. Uh March of the Dead is another one that you're going to um uh you know, uh go through. You're going to face some skeletons.

Uh really not a horrible horrible game, and there is a ton of story here. I mean, there's a ton going on. And for me, with the way Pathfinder has gone, unfortunately, I wish they did more of these earlier on. Um but you know, we'll talk more about that up top uh as we're going to be discussing what's going on with Pathfinder Quest. All right. Let's go up top, get my final thoughts.

You know, it's a video that I have to do for for our dungeon crawl, uh you know, 64 dungeon crawl videos on Tuesdays and Thursdays. And I decided to use this one um because there there it can't always be good stuff, okay? Sometimes there's some sadness involved. And with Paizo, I almost feel like that is too little, too late uh on a system that people have really lost their hearts with. And it's just it's a shame because it started out with so much promise and so much gusto. And there just seems to be a lot of things going on. You know, maybe they pull themselves out of it, I don't know. The thing is, that's that's really pretty good game with a lot of story and a lot to play through and enjoy. So, uh you know, if you are somebody like myself that you know, as well, you know, I'm going to get it because I want to remember the good times.

That's what you go do. Go pick that up. I definitely don't think you'll be disappointed with it. Um it's just sad how everything is falling into place and it almost feels like it why couldn't you make more of those because those are because that's really really a a nice set. A nice and simplified anybody can get into it and kind of move through it and have a wonderful time.

[sighs]

Just never makes sense sometimes. But my dear friends, uh it's a good game. Go pick it up. You know, not sponsored. I went and picked it up because I you know, I wanted it because you know, I still have in my heart a special place for Pathfinder. So my dear friends, until next time. Uh until we do another dungeon crawl video. It's your old pal Rob. We'll see you soon everybody. And thanks for watching the video.
