18 Holes Board Game - A Kickstarter Preview of Golfing on Tabletop!
hi it's Stella from between diversity and this is Thomas Sean sweet preview for 18 holes from Seabrook studios you strive to hit the balls through different greens in different courses and score the most points the game plays 1 to 4 plays with mechanics such as simultaneous action selection modular board and card drafting the game is of light complexity in 18 holes they are many different map layouts can play with or you can do random they are also a few different game modes and I'm going to use one called match play play start by drafting down to 5 Club cards in which they're going to use in the game it's round everyone chooses and simultaneously refills one club card and that determines how far they're going to hit the ball at some cases it's a straightforward move but mostly you draw shop cards of the same number the card we draw tells you how far the ball has gone then you decide the starting direction after all sometimes the ball has a mind of its own in golf after everyone has moved if at least one player lands on the hole or green that player gets the point everyone that goes through the same next study location play continues using the next different Club cards still in hand then round goes to all greens have been claimed player with the most points wins whether you play golf or not I think you still enjoy it I have played a few of mini goals and I can say that I have the feeling of playing those in 18 holes they are some luck small random element you push the ball too far or wrong direction or score there are some obstacles that you need to avoid starting on the grass instead of the path may disadvantage you and landing on water makes you lose your next turn they are golf carts that you can use which gives asymmetric powers like this one the sharp No penalty on water hazards what I find as one vital strategy is the card trap and play you need to look at the course at the start and try to time playing your cards right to be the most efficient golfer so thanks for watching guys at the time of filming 18 holes is about to be launched on Kickstarter so I'll put the link in the description when it is life if you have any questions for me please write in the comment sections below you would also help us by subscribing to people University and hit the belt so you won't miss anything from us I also share my boardgames journey on Instagram so hopefully I'll see you there too until next time [Music]
