want to be the camet stst to save and protect or the Lady of the Lake to fulfill my destiny my dear you don't have to take the popular choice see what's benefit you the most to be the ruler of Camelot the game plays two to four players with mechanics such as hand management storytelling and narrative Choice the game is of medium complexity in monarchs of Camelot you are a character from Arian Legend lady n pleasure to meet you Queen gav Lancelot or Lord Oberon wanting to prove your worth by using your unit and resources to meet your personal goal to choose your own story and be the first one to reach 10 Prestige points choose a scenario set the scene and reveal the first story card the scenarios are stand alone and will do the lady and the night scenario here don't worry there are several scenarios already you can play this scenario repeatedly as it can go to several directions the story deck is this tick the happiest player starts first well literally if you're the highest in the happiness track go do your thing you would have drawn your decision cards at the end of the last round the number may vary across the game according to your health or hand limit and pick and play one choose one of your two sides playay under your St starting card resolving the immediate actions from top to bottom then deploying units or paying resources as needed to activate any others from this card or any other in any order say here play your left actions you can move your advisor token from an action so you can activate it again later then get an advisor from common Supply to your supply and gold that then if you are the highest in happiness track you increase one of your goal Track by one level then you can put one advisor back here again to gain magic and gold always good to work on your personal goal each turn at least one of the two as you'll earn four points for completing one or you could slow down other players achieving their goals need to watch out and keep a close eye on them that's my day of work done through some conspirators in the Royal dungeon and conducted an investigation so L slot my Soldier has received an Intel a couple of advisers said that you got the wrong people in the dungeon they've been released from the dungeon now well lady N I paid some gold to the investigators and they found that one of your relics is fake return it to the guild immediately huh once you have the fourth card to one side of your character you've chosen your destiny replace your character with a more powerful version of you and from now on you can only play your cards on that side the powerful the Lady of the Lake I'll now invoke mystical entities to Aid you this will get me more Prestige and hopefully I'll get to 10 points first to win check the story cards condition after all players finish their turns if not met each player draws back to their hand limit and continue to the next round if something is triggered evaluate the game condition and proceed to the next card and location Players may be able to affect the outcome by playing the appropriate cards interacting with NPCs or contributing to certain common goal but be tactical the story is only one of several potential sources of prestige so how heavily you want to invest in it is up to you this story driften game has a timing puzzle element that's satisfying to do play your cards at the right time and that's why you need to keep your health up get your hand limit up to have more cards to choose from my favorite the move mechanic lets you move a worker or all resources away for yourself so you can reactivate the action again time it right and you can repeatedly activate your powerful actions like getting sweet Prestige here speaking about Prestige you have two goals to fulfill but will'll likely finish only one since only the first one you complete is worth for Prestige however trying to work on both of them a little bit might still be beneficial like gaining these resources when you gain a relic the characters have wide ranging and unique goals highly asymmetrical giving you different focuses to your opponents while the stories give you rich and thematic experiences to explore monarx of Camelot at its core is a tableau puzzle your card sequence will shape your path and intend help you to achieve your goals while options to attack or set back your opponent components
