Rhino Says Yes #20 - Mr Jack
hello guys I'm cardboard rhino and welcome to rhino says yes today as I am a bit sick all I want to do is drink loads of tea cover myself with a blanket and play a cosy two-player game like mr. Jack in mr. Jack one player takes on the role of Jack Jack the Ripper and he's the only one who knows which one of the eight characters on the board Jack is using the other player is the detective who is not a character on the board and tries to guess Jack's identity before he escapes or before the end of the eighth round during each round players can activate two characters each using their special powers and placing them in the tile that is either in the shadow or in the light at the end of each turn jack has to declare whether he is visible or not as in whether he is adjacent to a little impose or another character this allows a detective to make deductions about the possible suspects and Jack's identity the game continues like this with the two players trying to move the characters to their advantage and having a head-to-head battle about who will manage to outsmart the other mr.
Jack is one of the classic two-player games about deduction and mystery you'll find it in most board game cafes it's been played by lots of people and I think there's a reason for that it's a very good example of an easy to grasp and engaging two-player game it's also suitable for an experience level almost any age and it's a overall a good gateway game to get new people into asymmetric gameplay and into the Hobby in general so Rhino says yes to mr.
Jack you should definitely give it a try
