7 Sins Preview by Board to Death TV
Transcript
Hi, I'm Felicia. And I'm John Carlo. And this is our preview of Seven Sins. What are the seven deadly sins? Uh, wrath. My personal favorite, the sloth. Uh, envy, John. Carlos, which makes sense, right? Normal thing. It is normal. Who's not prideful about them? You should be proud. You should be proud. Wonderful. Ego, I think. Yes, I think you're right. I think the word is wrong. I think it should be ego, not pride. Yes, cuz you are allowed to be proud. Proud of who you are. Are just more proud than I'm myself. Bam. And we're proud of Bor to Death. We're proud of Luca.
Seven Sins is a card game where players are trying to earn the most sin points. In the box, you'll get a deck of sin cards, which contains different valued cards and the seven different types of sins. A main deck, which contains all the different sins, values, and special abilities for each sin. Three different decks for envy, gluttony, and sloth, which contains special abilities and values as well, and game instructions on cards. The game ends when a player has seven or more points in pride. Then you tally up the points. To set up, shuffle the original sin deck and deal out four cards to each player. Now, each player will choose two cards and give one of them to the player on his left and the other to the player on his right. Now, set those cards aside until the end of the game. You can look at them at any time. Shuffle all the four decks and place them in the center of the table.
Each player now draws three cards from the main deck to form their hand. Choose a first player and you're ready to play. On your turn, you simply play a card, do its effect, if any, and then draw a card from the main deck. Each card you play is placed face up in front of you in stacks for each sin. Eventually, your play area will look something like this. Let's take a look at each of the basic effects from the cards. Wrath may be played on another player's playing area. When you play Lust, choose another player, and that player must play a card, but he doesn't get to draw a card to replace it. When you play greed, choose another player and he must give you a card from his hand. Pride cards have no effect, but when a player has more than seven points of them, the game ends and you calculate points. Let's take a look at the other cards like sloth, gluttony, and envy. The way sloth works is if another player forces you to play a card. If you don't have any or if you don't want to play a card, you can take a sloth card instead and play it in your playing area. If you ever play a card with the envy symbol like this one has, that player must also draw an envy card and play it in his area. Finally, the gluttony cards. These cards stack up in your playing area to always match your biggest stack. So, if you have four cards of a kind, only three gluttony cards, you must add one from the deck to your playing area. When a player has seven pride points, then the game ends.
Now, you calculate points. Each player first adds their original sin to their stacks. Now, for each sin, the player with the highest value discards their stack, and the other players add their stack to their score stack. When this is done for all the sins, calculate your score stack, and the player with the most points wins. Seven Sins is a fun, quick, and easy to pick up card game. Good for all level of players.
