Encounters Shattered Wastes - Boss battle 💥📺 retro style

hi graduates it's Stella from Maple University and this is Stella short and sweet preview for encounters shattered waists from Almanac games [Music] [Music] welcome adventurous yo Jenny start here to venture to the land of shattered wastes to investigate the spreading of powerful Magic now choose your character wisely the game plays one to four players with mechanics such as Cooperative variable player powers and dice rolling the game is of light to medium complexity in encounter shattered wastes players work cooperatively to battle one boss monster to get rid of all its train cards permanently even having to go berserk to gain some advantages to start the game please choose one or more characters maximum four characters Turtle per game each player then receives 8 ability cards and can pick three preferably ones that combo l each round starts with refresh face where each character rolls a dice to bring the monster strength cut in play then the action phase each character does two actions then go to the next one the boat is the battlefield and players need to get rid these strength cards so the first action you can do is move up to three usually to position yourself to attack second one is to do basic attack use your dice and roll more than your thread track one string cut paid damage two fatigue pile which will get recycled unfortunately the boss is pretty strong it's not wounded so easily and increase your thread making future hits more difficult but when you hit your critical value the cards go straight to wounded pal means they're gone from the game and you get no threat next step of action is using special ability cost magic points but they are helpful attack or healing abilities for one or more characters how do you get more magic points and reduce Threat Level that will be the next action recover you roll a die to see the value to either reduce threat okay magic points or remove one or more bad Affliction cards a bye-bye suppressing ability cards last but not least you can shatter you've been fighting so hard the poisonous lens started to affect you and you transform you can do this voluntarily he or if your threat is maxed out then you have no option in this fashion you are more powerful but have some limiting abilities after all characters done the action it goes to the boss the fan base if the area threat is above the boss's maximum value bad things will happen like damage to everyone giving bad Affliction cards and more then it goes to refresh space again and so on at some point all strength cards are going from the stamina pile and this cause the boss status change from guarded to staggered it was weakened face when you attack all cards go straight to the wound pile getting rid of them permanently this face ends when you need to recycle the cards again to stamina pole well it was good while it lasted if all players are injured and removed from the board then the players lose the evil boss wins but don't lose hope you can try again later but if you manage to move all the strength cards to woundpal then you owe in manage to restore the shattered wastes back to normal ah so proud of you remember those 16-bit retro video games with pixel art like Final Fantasy 6 or Super Mario World this one reminds me of those games how about when you at one stage fighting the boss when it opens its mouth or something like that for three seconds showing its weakness that is the best time to attack well this feels like that when the boss is at staggered base attack with all your might if you can at least well that's why it's very important for each character to work well together right from the start the ability cards that you choose for the game if you can get them to complement each character well surely you can beat the boss in no time maybe this also means each game gives you so many different strategies and ways to fight well hopefully you all can beat the evil force in shattered wastes and be the champion of humanity so thanks for watching folks check out encounter shattered wastes project page I'll put the link in the description below the components featured in this video are prototype so rules and artwork are not funnel you will help us buy like the video subscribe and hit the bell and comments below if you have any questions I also share my board games Jenny on Instagram hopefully I will see you there too thanks for watching see you next time foreign [Music]
