Description

In 20XX, the world was filled with excitement for robot battles! Win the battles divided by class and get the belt! Win the most belts and make your gym famous!

Rocket Punch! is a trick-taking game where the timing to take the belt is important. On your turn, you play the robot cards in your hand, and the strongest robot wins the battle and gets the belt. The round ends when you run out of cards in your hand, and the gym that owns the belt at that point receives fame points. The player who reaches the specified number of Fame Points first is the winner.

The first edition of the game had a typo in the English language name of the game and the box says "Rocket Pounch".

  • And it's based on the problem called what is called again it's based on the seven bridges of somewhere.
  • I feel kind of like bad about bringing a hundred games back home.

Mechanics (from transcript analysis)
  • Set Collection — if you win a trick you kind of keep like the token for that color in front of you and then if another player later in the round wins that same color, you will give that to the other players. You want to win with the color lost. The last trick of the color is the best. The count.
  • Trick taking — This is a trick taking game.

  • It's a fine game. It's another one of those where I played and I like that was a fun. Never need to do that again.
  • But it ended up feeling very like meaningful for in tactical when you started playing and just like oh, but I saw this opportunity.
  • This was not up to those No. I mean, I know some people really liked it, but for us it just fell flat.
  • It is long.
  • But for me, it ends up not being a keeper. Oh yeah, for me, too.
  • This is a game about leading an expedition. Through Ice and Snow. Yes. And you I would say this is a painfully thematic game.
