Mechanics (from transcript analysis)
- pattern matching — Players flip cards and look for matches based on color.
- Set Collection — The rules involve matching colors and then performing actions based on those colors.
- speed reaction — Players must quickly identify matches and shout out responses based on evolving rules.
- Take That — When a match occurs, players shout out a word, and the first correct answer wins the round; wrong answers are punished.

Quotes (from this video)
- if you don't know I am a sleeving addict which is something I'm not necessarily that proud of
- the cards are sleeved and I do it because I like shuffling with premium sleeves I play a lot in pubs where the tables are really sticky
- I found that they're really well made they shuffle nicely and the benefit really is that you're getting more of them so there's 55 cut sleeves in a pack rather than 50
- I think that for an abstract game it's got a surprising amount of theme a really refreshing amount of theme
- it's very mean and the more players you play with people are going to really struggle it's about blocking off other people
- I think that that works really nicely and I think that a lot of people are going to enjoy that
- I've actually found that people sit down to play this game and they see the pieces and they start stacking them and that the drafting and those extra elements they just slow down getting to the excitement
- it's a dexterity euro game it's perfect for people that like doing their own thing they're all about points and strategizing
- I think the meeple circus is a good dexterity game for me it's not a great one it comes in a box it's far too big for the components that are in it
- there's still moments of fighting it out in cafe fatale there's probably less so than in Las Vegas so I think there's less tension and there's less exciting moments
- it's a very simple rule system and yet there's just these little clever touches to cafe fatale that make it interesting
- this was our favorite one it it plays really quickly and we just went straight back into it because it was like people get so frustrated with themselves that they want to go and try again
- I do like that there's a rule where if you shout out the wrong thing you get punished the other person gets the points for that round and they get more points so you really encouraged not to make a mistake and of course you ultimately will

Quotes (from this video)
- Dice are not the answer.
- Once we introduce this degree of randomness into a game, then all strategic decisions and tactical decisions cease to matter.
- Dice are the garlic of the game design world.
- A board game design is only as good as the decisions that a player makes on their turn.
- Building
- In a strategy game, we want choices and those choices have to mean something and they have to be fun and and sort of delicious little puzzles for us to solve.
- So, I I I wonder what you made of this video. Let me know what you think of the video that I've made now, the video that I made back then and the video that I'm making today.
- Was it interesting to watch me watching it? Was it interesting to hear my updated views on it, or was it distracting?
