hello welcome back to the channel and this is a channel where we give you reviews playthroughs unboxings and we generally like to talk a lot of bullocks about tabletop gaming in general and in this video we're going to be continuing our countdown of our top 100 ball games of all time this is going to be number 90 down to 81. so enough for that bollocks let's continue on with our list bollocks so number 90 on this list is a one versus all game it's conan the ball game by monolith it's not the age of conan because that that's not as good as it but obviously this is a one versus all game you've got the overlord type character that's going to be using a special board and everyone else is going to get this really flimsy crappy player out right it seems a little bit unfair done but basically what you'll be doing in this game you'll be manipulating gems to give you power that will allow you to take different actions this is a scenario based game so you choose a scenario from the rule book you'll set up one of the boards and away you go you'll take conan or a handful of other characters and you'll basically be hacking and slashing your way to victory this game works really well it does tell some really good stories when you get stuck into it it has been criticized for some pretty dodgy representations but we're not going to talk about that because it's christmas in it we've only got the core set of this and there's not really that much in the box this is a game that you really need to invest in

the kickstarter but then that might just give you a little bit too much to mess about with so there's not really a happy medium with content in this one if you like these one versus all types of games and you do like to see a lot of claret splattered all over your local pub then conan is well worth your time with bother right so number 89 on this list is a game by alexander fister it's great western trail this game sees you traversing a trail in the great west and you'll be herding cows around this trail stopping off and doing stuff this is a real brain burning game it's got elements of depth building it's got that sort of careless vibe where you'll be interacting with different tiles as you go around the board right and it's got a picture of jason statham on the front wearing a stetson this game garnered a lot of buzz when it's first released and it is beloved today right it is a little bit complicated sort of thing i know all you hardcore euro gamers out there saying like are spitting froth at your latte at the moment but there was an expansion for this that had more stuff to do with the railway element in this and uh yeah it's just a bloody good euro game especially if you like fisting and you like cows so number down so number 88 on this list is a game that is responsible for breakdown of marriages and people basically disowning their family it's lifeboats this is a bidding game where you'll be trying to

vote people out of your boat into other people's boats and if there's no space then they fall through a hole in the boat and they drown yet this is like a race to get to the end of the board with as many of your semen intact a little bit hard to get out of these days i think yeah and the rule book is a bit [ __ ] it's direct translation from french and it doesn't really make a lot of sense so you do need to go out and try and find a video that teaches you how to play this game but if you like these cutthroat voting games with some solid components you've got these really nice solid wooden boats in it then lifeboats plays up to six players so yeah lifeboats highly recommended if you like to cut each other's throats but you're scared of knives so number 87 on this this is another game that's got a little bit of flack for some of the representations in this game it's completely unjustified in this case because this game is ladies and gentlemen this game does take the piss out of the old victorian representations it's not a serious game by any stretch of the imagination but what you'll be doing in this game you'll be pairing up with somebody else one player will take the ladies one player will take the role of the gentleman gentlemen we'll be going out to work to try no money so that ladies can go and spunk it all up the wall in selfridges on mink fur coats and then get attacked by animal activists this game plays out ten players right and you do get a little bit shouty shouty right because when you have been at the office all day long working your ass off and you come home and you find out that your missus has bought yet another pair of shoes from amelda marcos then you are well within your rights to cop a strop what do i say about this game being tongue-in-cheek

not a lot of components in this game a little bit thin on the ground in that respect but this is one of the best high player count games that you can get again it's a little bit hard to get all of these days but if you can track it down i guarantee you that you will enjoy the piss-taking affair that is ladies and gentlemen so the next game on this list is a real-time game that sees you stuck inside the temple trying to escape before the time runs out i wonder what game this could be yeah it's a skate curse of the temple if you didn't guess that then you're [ __ ] you will be using an app or an mp3 player from the year 2001. you'll be rolling dice in real time along to this soundtrack you might be able to move your adventurer to the next tile you might be able to draw a new tile to make the temple bigger all the while you'll be trying to collect gems that will stave off the pain and suffering of losing this game and you'll be trying to find the exit so you can escape before the time runs out yeah my wife won't play this game because it increases her heart rate to a level where she feels like jumping out of the bedroom window right there's no lit up in this game it is pure adrenaline rush when you've got a maximum play account throw on so many expansions this game can be a little bit too hot to handle but that's why we like it there's loads and loads of expansions for this there's loads of mini expansions we've got a box chock a block full of this stuff and aside from a couple of other games this is the go-to real-time heart attack inducing game that you can get yeah so escape curse of the temple if you're going to get it get the big box version because it's got loads and loads of variety in there so yeah

number 90 so number 85 on this list is a game called francis drake this is a bog standard euro game that is split into two portions you've got the plymouth high street bit where you're going to go shopping for stuff and then you're going to be taking your stuff out onto the caribbean seas trying to destroy the spanish and nick all their gear this game is really really simple plays out the five we like it because it's simple yeah because i'm losing about 7 000 brain cells a day so the easier the game for me at this time in my life the better it is the plymouth arbor bit is quite similar to tokaido where you can't go back once you've gone forward and the component quality in this game is absolutely off the charts yeah some of the most stunning components that i have seen in a game for this period so yeah if you like putting discs onto a board because that's basically what you'd be doing if you like a nice easy but sort of a meaty game as well then francis drake is a super game with absolutely fantastic components so number 84 on this list is a game that i wish i had played when i was doing buckets and hot knives back in the 80s and early 90s it's dixie this game sees you using these cards with this surrealist type of artwork on it and you'll be trying to give your opponents a clue so that they can guess the card the trick with dixit is is that you don't want to make the trick too obvious because the more people that guess it correctly the less points you're gonna get but if you can get one person to guess it then you and them are gonna get

the bumper share the points right this game's an absolute classic right because we've played it so much it's starting to get a little bit stale but there's so many different expansions for this one and you've also got the dixie odyssey version where you can figure out the 12 players with this so we do keep dragging it out and that's the reason it's stuck into this top 100 people that have never played this before do fall in love with this one but then it gets addictive and you sort of burn out on it real quick but if you haven't got dicks it it's really really cheap and you're bound to find a place within your heart for this wonderful french game so next game on this list is a dexterity game that sees you using meeples in a circus yes it's people [ __ ] circus so what you'll be doing this game you will be selecting cards that will give you requirements that you'll have to make that the crowd in the circus want you to perform the crowd might want to see donkeys dancing on polar bears or they might want to see evil knievel having sex with a tiger but either way you'll be pressing play on your old apple ipod mp3 pro and it will play a soundtrack and everyone collectively will have a certain amount of time to perform what the crowd wants in the final round you'll be on your own everyone will be watching you and you'll have to perform the full show on your own whilst everyone's watching yeah we've played this before and we've seen people absolutely shaking really really nervous about how they're gonna get on with this one so we love maple circus there's a couple of expansions that add more animals that add more characters and add more cards so yeah it's a perfect dexterity game with an

absolutely wonderful theme yeah so meeple circus that's our number 83 number 82 on this list is a game if you've got all the expansions it's probably the biggest table hog we've ever seen it's a game called everdell this is a card driven game where you will be basically collecting different cards with i like to say vermin but some cute sort of mrs tiggy winkle sort of characters on it yeah and these will be giving you special abilities there's a big [ __ ] off 3d sort of tree that doesn't really do anything but carries a few cards so a bit of a waste of time but if you add in all the expansions this game is a huge huge card driven game with loads and loads of options and it does get a little bit finky right even though it's got like a nice cute theme and you are but touching up a few waterfalls along the way it does make your brain melt towards the end where you've got so many different parts to victory right this game's got a really really really nice theme and it's not just pasted on either because the way the cards all bounce off each other and slot in to make this game a well-oiled machine proves that the designer did put a lot of effort and a lot of work into this one so yeah if you like your cutesy little themes yeah and you do like your sort of card draft and deck building style sort of games then everdale is going to be right up your back alley so number 81 on this list is a game that has seen a revival from its original version this was published by restoration games it's downforce in this game you will be bidding on different cars to move them forward around the

track in the hope that the cars that you bet on will finish the race first this was quite a popular game way back in the day and no wonder they reprinted it because it still works really really well today it's got some nice little components with the cars in there some extra bits and pieces that have been added on like special abilities for each player there's a couple of expansion packs where you can add extra maps with different types of terrain and extra bits and pieces that will hinder or help your progress and all in all this is a pretty good card driven racing game so it sort of avoids the pitfalls of roll and move which is sort of different for a game of the era when this was first released right so if you like racing games you like car driven games and a little bit of betting as well then downforce with a couple of expansion maps is pretty darn good so you go that's a another installment of our top 100 ball games of all time that was number 90 down to 81. we've only got another how many is it eight to go so don't get bored don't start cracking up that christmas whiskey just yet but remember what we always say if you haven't subscribed already please do so hit the like button comment all right bollocks and we'll see you in the next video
