The final grade is rock solid. Baba Is You the board game and party house deck building game. I love when I come in thinking one thing and I end up leaving thinking something else. Kudos. I gave them 2/3 of a point grade bump, so we'll put that in my brain. So, do I want it? Yes, I do. As someone who has no idea what Baba Is You or Party House is for that matter, I wanted to play Baba Is You. I legitimately think that looks like a super fun game. You beat me down with rock solid quotes. You have cool-looking minis. The video was done very, very well and it showcased all the good stuff like Oh, yeah, you're going to be able to mix it up all the time. And while I don't know necessarily if the new people kind of caught on to this, as a board gamer, I did and that's what got me excited. So, do I want it? Yes, I think they did a good job on the intellectual property aspect and a good job on the board gamer aspect.
Now, that being said, I think they did a better job on Baba Is You than on Party House and I think that is unarguable. I mean, literally, just one of them has more time in the video by nearly double, but neither here nor there. It's probably a bigger game, so duh. Do I want it? Yes. Can you do it? Yes. They have done a lot of games. They've done quite a few Kickstarter projects and even more games because they just do a whole bunch of games. Most of the time they do Kickstarter projects and they are really stinking good at it. Like really good at it. I I I just If you didn't watch it live, like I came to this part and I was like, "Oh my gosh, they have so many pledge levels. I'm going to guess there's going to be one that's going to be stupid at least and it has less than 18." Because that's typical what happens when you have this many pledge levels. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 pledge levels. And then I was like, "You know what? They do this all the time and I bet they crushed it." And they did.
The lowest pledge level isn't even under 100 except for retailers. We're not counting you. 357. Like that's the lowest? You knew exactly what to sell to them. Kudos. Just freaking kudos. So well done. Because you got to realize, when you are doing it like this and every single person you're getting exactly what they want, you're selling more of these chips, you're selling more of these wood pieces, you're you're really starting to make the extra money on all those SKUs, right? Because you got to look at these as four separate items that you're buying from the factory. This one right here, like Yeah, it's good for them. Good for them. Excellent. I would put some more respect on their own name and their track record, but do I want it? Yes. Can you do it? Yes. How much is it?
Feels fine. And you know why it felt fine straight from the jump? Because you got the shipping out of the way. And this I I cannot stress how important I think this is. Because when you just show me a price, you know and I know and every single person who backs Kickstarter knows that's not the price. There is still shipping, there's still VAT, there's still duties, there's all that stuff in the back end. And that could potentially be a third to half of your cost sometimes. So you getting the shipping out of the way, ripping off the band-aid and being like, "Haha, we didn't actually need a band-aid. There's a jelly bean under there." It was great news. So you got shipping out of the way and it was great. And I don't think it was that jelly bean, but kudos. So final grade is rock solid. I think the main image could be dolled up.
Definitely think so. Love to see some stretch goals, but I imagine with how tight they have these, probably not in the cards. Also, when are they shipping? June 2027? Okay. Gen Con Origins release? Origin Okay. Origin soft launch, Gen Con final, maybe Baba Is You bags walking all around Gen Con. I wouldn't be shocked to see that in a million years, right? Like good for them. Half million bucks, final grade rock solid. I'm going to go A minus B plus range. 2/3 of a play great bump up. Get out of here with that B plus. We'll go A minus. I still think Party House to Deck Building Game could have used a little bit more respect on their name, but their fans came up big. They supported like France does for their people. A minus. Baba Is You is an amazingly fun video game and the little bit of gameplay I've seen of the board game looks quite fun. I have no idea about the game, but honestly, after watching the gameplay video or watching this video like what this game is, I was like, you know, that looks and I'm not an abstract strategy game. Like that is what this game is. It is at its core, it looks like an abstract two-player head-to-head abstract strategy game.
