October 2026 is shaping up to be a big month for board game crowdfunding with some really interesting games coming to Kickstarter and Gamefound. We've got some massive licensed games, highly anticipated sequels, indie designs, cats, gnomes, aliens, and a new Nemesis game. So, let's take a look. Today, we're looking at 15 board games launching on Kickstarter and Gamefound in October 2026 that you might want to keep your eye on. And as always, I'll give you a quick rundown on what each game is, when it's launching, where it's launching, and why you might want to check it out. We've got one sponsorship from a new publisher, 1144 Games, with their game All's Well That Ends. Tell you a little bit more about that later. I'll give you all these in chronological order for the month and what platform they'll be on, either Kickstarter or Gamefound.

Nothing that I saw was worth mentioning from BackerKit this month, but let me know in the comments

if I missed something important. First up is Fark, which is coming to Kickstarter on October 1st. This is sort of the game Bang and that meets the Werewolf theme. This is one we've actually played and you might want to see it played, so we're going to have a full playthrough available on our channel October 8th, so come join the mayhem live on YouTube that evening. We've got three on October 6th. Excursions, a Galactic Cruise game coming to Kickstarter on October 6th. This is a new game in the Galactic Cruise universe, where you're managing space vacations, building up your fleet, creating itineraries, and sending guests on trips across the galaxy. It's designed for one to six players and plays in about 60 to 90 minutes. This looks like an interesting evolution on the original Galactic Cruise game. Will and Sarah have a video releasing soon for this one. The Seekers is coming from Off the Page Games on Kickstarter. It's a streamlined hidden movement game for a one versus many family weight game. Can you find the mushroom in time before they find the shards needed to win? We have a video preview of this one coming up soon, so you'll be able to get a much better look at how the game plays. And then we have a big one, Nemesis Legacy from Awaken Realms launching on Gamefound. This takes the Nemesis universe into a full legacy campaign with interconnected scenarios, irreversible decisions, character customization,

narrative twists, and consequences that carry from one session to the next. It's designed by Rob Daviau, Adam Kopinski, and Jamie Barriga.

And the game can incorporate components from Nemesis Retaliation. If you're a fan of Nemesis or if the idea of combining Nemesis-style survival horror with a persistent campaign, that if that all sounds interesting, this is definitely one to watch on Gamefound. There's four campaigns launching on October 13th. First up, we have Stormlight War of Roshar from Brotherwise Games to Kickstarter. Now, this is an epic strategy game based on Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive with asymmetric factions, heroes, diplomacy, card play, and battles for control of Roshar. The game has been described as being in the vein of games like War of the Ring and Star Wars Rebellion, so this could be a particularly interesting one for fans looking for a heavier Cosmere board game.

And then comes Mothership on Kickstarter. This game pits two rival UFO scouts, two players, against each other trying to abduct the most humans and collect artifacts to score the most points. Move your UFO around Earth swapping places with the human in in space as you try to line up three matching colors in a row. Transfer different combinations of humans to the mothership to gain reputation, which helps you unlock more alien allies to give you asymmetric powers. The movement and puzzly nature of pattern creation makes this a unique game in the two-player space, and the alien ally cards create cool new combos to explore from game to game. Dan from our team is working on an overview video for this one. He's really been enjoying it.

Dice Throne Nexus is coming to Kickstarter. If you're a fan of Dice Throne, this is obviously one you're going to want to investigate because it's expanding the Dice Throne universe and giving fans another way to get into the system. We'll have to wait for the campaign to see exactly what's all included, but this one will almost certainly be on the radar of existing Dice Throne fans. And finally, on October 13th, it's Clash Royale: The Grand Arena from Maestro Media and Supercell, based on the popular mobile game. This tabletop adaptation is being designed by David Gordon and Tam, with players battling it out in the arena using the characters and troops from Clash Royale. If you're a Clash Royale fan, or if you're curious to see how Supercell's competitive mobile game translates to the tabletop, this is definitely one to keep an eye on as we get closer to its crowdfunding campaign.

October 15th brings Gatera, the cat magnet, to Kickstarter. This is a lighter-looking game centered around cats and a chain reaction concept, and there's a video from Will and Sarah on our channel already that you can see an overview of the game. If you like smaller, quirky games that don't require 3-hour commitments, then Gatera is one worth checking out.

On October 20th, we've got Good Kitties and Super Chunk coming to Kickstarter from Pink Hawk Games. Two games.

Good Kitties is a cooperative strategy game where you play as mischievous house cats carrying out secret missions while the humans are asleep. While Super Chunk is a quicker card game about cats trying to eat as much as possible. And we've got a play-through coming up so you'll be able to see both games in action on our YouTube channel. On October 21st, Fantasy Flight is bringing Arkham Horror Remastered to Gamefound. This is a remastered version of the classic 2005 Arkham Horror second edition with updated artwork, graphic design, components, and some rules clarifications, and quality of life improvements. This is also Fantasy Flight's first-ever crowdfunding campaign, so it'll be interesting to see how they approach Gamefound with such a well-known title.

There's also a possibility that we get a prototype of this and maybe do an interview with Richard Launius. Right? Let me know in the comments if you'd like to hear more about this one. Before we get to the rest of the October games, I want to spend a little more time on our sponsor for the video, All's Well That Ends. This is coming to Kickstarter October 27th from 1144 Games. You're exploring the western wildlands, frontier in our own world, but so far in the future that the world we know has been completely transformed. Oceans have swallowed up entire civilizations. Ice ages have wiped out others, and now humanity is starting over again among the ruins. You choose one of the four asymmetric characters and set out with your fellow travelers into the wildlands. The story unfolds across multiple chapters as you track down a group of slavers and killers while discovering clues, gathering allies, and gaining new abilities and equipment along the way. And while the technology is broadly medieval, you'll see swords, shields, and plate armor, the world isn't quite what it first appears to be.

You can also try All's Well That Ends right now on Tabletop Simulator. So, if that sounds like your kind of game, head over to the website, check it out, and follow the Kickstarter campaign before it launches October 27th. And thanks to 1144 Games for sponsoring this video and supporting Tantrum House. We've got two more on October 27th, Accidental Heroes from Lucky Duck Games. It's a one to four player adventure game where you're setting out to secure dragon eggs with each turn generating new adventures through a combination of the map and adventure tokens, which are then brought to life through a companion app. Then we have Gnomes: The Hunt for the Scepter of Valmorra. This is a hybrid game uh combining exploration, deduction, strategy, and an app that secretly determines where the treasure is hidden, one of almost 600 possible locations on the board. You'll explore the forest, collect clues from the gnomes, gather resources, and try to figure out the exact location of the scepter before your opponents do. Check out our overview video coming soon. And finally, sometime toward the end of October, Fossil A Enhanced Edition is coming to Kickstarter. This is an English edition of the strategy game with upgraded components and refinements over the original edition. If you're a fan of collecting fossils, building a paleontology exhibition, and turning that theme into a strategic board game, this is definitely one to put on your October watch list.

And that's just a look at what's coming on Kickstarter and Gamefound this October. There are some really big names in this month's lineup, but there's also quite a few smaller games that I think could get lost in the shuffle. So, hopefully, that gives you a few new games to put on your radar. Let me know down in the comments which October campaign are you most looking forward to. I'd love to hear from you. And if you want to keep up with these campaigns as they launch, make sure you subscribe to Tantrum House because we'll be bringing you previews, playthroughs, and coverage of many of these games over the month. Thanks for watching, and we'll see you next time.
