We cannot get it right. Come on. Come on.

Just just saying good morning is hard.

Just saying good morning. I tell you, just saying good morning.

Yes. All right, everybody. We are so happy to see you.

Yes, we are for another week.

For another week of cold. Cuz it's cold now.

It's cold.

It's cold,

you know. But I I'm I like the cold. So I can deal with the cold.

I can deal with the cold.

You know,

I want the snow. I want the snow. No,

snow's coming.

Snow is done.

My boy, you know, my boy Match Velocity say snow coming.

Snow is over.

Snow is coming.

Snow had his last day. Snow is coming.

No more snow to next. Next week we going to have a snowstorm. Already been told. Yep. Already been told. My boy Max Velocity, he told me.

Well, we've had a few flurries, but nothing is sticking.

Oh, it's coming. It's coming. Mhm.

You seem excited about that.

I'm excited. Yeah. I like snow.

The snow is is done. I like snow for the holidays.

Have a little cuz, you know, I'm uh probably tonight if it's real cold, but it might not be. I need some like tea and honey. It's cold right now.

Tea and honey. Yes.

Yeah. But it's cold right now.

Yeah, it's cold right now. It is cold. I won't be doing that after the show.

Doing that show cuz it supposed to be like high winds too. Like 50 miles an hour winds. That's why I'm not going out.

I don't be blown around.

We are inside.

I don't want to be blown around. I'm not going out. Not going out.

But we hope everybody has had a great week. You know, I've had a great week. It's been good.

It's been good.

It's been good. You know, we're in good health.

Good health.

Good spirits.

Trying to hang on, y'all. Trying to hang on. Some crazy stuff going on in the world. Just trying to hang on.

We're in good spirits. We're doing the best we can. Trying to hang on to to stay okay.

Stay sane.

Sane.

Stay sane. Mhm.

Sane.

Cuz they trying TO MAKE YOU GO CRAZY, but we not going to go crazy.

Yes. We are keeping our sanity. We're not going to go crazy. Yes.

Yes.

Yes. Oh, shoot. Arwin still in the Pacific Northwest. Arwin and Ally still up there.

That's good.

Celebrating their honeymoon.

Oh, that's awesome.

Hey y'all.

All right, everybody.

WE GOT TO GO BACK HOME.

UM, all right everybody, for those for those who don't know us, I'm Stara.

I'M

AND WE ARE GAME. BOOM.

YES.

YES. SO, we are continuing our most anticipated games of 2026. We missed some.

Well, okay. Last week, you guys know Mick and I had this little discussion about if it's a top 10, it should be a top 10, and he wanted to add a whole bunch of extra games,

but he had a few extra things. He talked about some expansions and all that.

So, this week he said,

he said, "You know what? We missed some games." Yes.

So, let's just extend it

and we're going to talk about those games that we missed.

Yes.

And share those with you. And these are games we anticipate. And there's one out there that I missed. I'm feeling really bad about it. Well, I didn't miss it because you're supposed to make the list.

I missed it. It's We got four four games that, you know, we missed and we got to talk about

five.

No, no, no. The fifth one is a is a change.

Oh,

yes. A change.

See,

I got news on the fifth one. I got news on the fifth one. But everything uh you know has changed.

Yeah.

But everybody, we hope everything is going okay. Uh if you are in Minnesota, our hearts go out to you.

We're praying for y'all. keep strong, y'all. Keep strong in Minnesota.

Our hearts go out to everyone in this country cuz we are in a situation right here that uh we're going to have to stand up and fix.

The only way we're going to fix it is if we stand up

and stand up to all the tyranny and stand up to all of the the false reports that are out there and false uh information that's being out there. Yes.

Stay strong. Amen.

Keep your mind right. And please, please, please

know right from wrong. Don't let these people tell you stuff cuz they don't tell the truth.

And again, Minnesota, we're out there. We're out there for everybody. Anybody who's dealing with the the frozen people,

the frozen people

that come around cuz we we've had them here in Omaha, too.

Yes. They have been terrorizing us too here in Omaha.

Here in Omaha. So So these little goon squads that are running around,

stay safe, but stay up. Stand up. No.

And call them out if you see them cuz I call them out.

All right. All right. So you see last week I did that at the end. This time I did at the beginning. All right. So now let's move on.

Yes.

Again, we I want to say one more thing. We have to touch base on this because I want you guys to know that we understand. We're there. I know we're talking about fun stuff and we need fun stuff.

I mean, because there's so much heavy stuff going on. We need fun stuff, but I just want you guys to know that we are not missing the situation. We know what's going on

because like I told somebody, we were born OPG was born out of politics and and issues that's happening in the world dealing with diversity and inclusion. So we were born of that. Yeah,

we were born

so we can't miss what's going on.

Well, well, we were born

cuz that's still being affected, but that's another whole subject. Yeah, that's a whole another subject. But we we're just so happy to see you guys. We are so happy that you're here, that you that you're safe, and we want to see you every week.

Yes.

Check in with us. Let us know you're out there, you're safe, and you got anything to share with us, just send us an email, drop us a DM.

Yes.

Just do that. All right. So, anyway,

you haven't talked about who's IN THE CHAT.

OH, THAT'S RIGHT. I GOT TO TALK ABOUT WHO'S IN THE CHAT. LET'S START. WHO? OKAY. I don't know if I'll see THE FIRST.

OKAY. MONICA.

MONICA.

NORWAY. YES.

HEY, MONICA. HEY, board game Queens. Good to see you. Coral, good to see you. Hey,

Mimi. Always good to see you. Ed Mine Clyde the man. Bla. You know Bla's going to be there. JJ.

Hey JJ. Yeah. Uh, is it Ivan? Matt Lord. Hi, Ivan. Cody, good to see. WHAT'S GOING ON?

HEY, DANA. GOOD TO SEE YOU. UM,

takes a second. You're going fast. Okay. Hey, Red Lover. Good to SEE YOU. TONY.

TONY. I KNOW WHY YOU HERE. TONY.

TONY'S EARS ARE BURNING. HE KNOW.

I know why. Tony.

Hey, Matt from the board game wagon. Michael and Haley.

HEY, KANSAS CITY IN THE HOUSE.

YES. UM, Lorie Larkin, good to see you.

We're going to keep going.

And

who else? Who else?

Got a few more. Is that it? Okay. I think it No, we had Arwin.

Arwin. WHAT'S GOING ON? I ALREADY TALKED ABOUT ARWIN. I talked about her. You mentioned her. Shane Bennett. and we also had a few others. Sorry, my screen was loud. My scroll is a little slow. All right. Hey, Shane. And if we missed you, we'll try to catch you later. Okay, so that's everybody's in the show. And if you're in the chat and if you haven't said hi, we can't acknowledge you, but we're happy that you're there listening and watching.

Yes. Yes, we are. Yes, we are. Yes.

I think we got I think that's it. Grass scrolling.

Yes. You know, we were in the process of fixing the stroll. The scroll, right? What? Hey, Michelle.

Oh, we still going.

Your your breaking news breaks in at THE WRONG TIME.

BUT THAT'S WHAT IT DOES. THAT'S WHAT IT DOES. BREAKING NEWS JUST BREAKS IN.

THAT'S THE PROBLEM.

IT JUST BREAKS IN.

I think I think you like that whole thing.

I do. It just breaks in.

They're making Yeah, I got it.

Breaking news breaks in.

Here we go, everybody.

Yes. All right. This I got I just got a few little things.

Okay. Few little things.

Oh, maybe. So, I DON'T KNOW. WELL, BUT THIS IS BREAKING NEWS. OH, OKAY. WELL, what is it?

We have a studio shakeup. A BIG ONE.

LITA GAMES. WE KNOW LITA GAMES. ROOT.

UM, what is that? Also, uh, Arcs and Oath and Fort that we kind of

Fort. Yep. Fort.

You know those games? Ahoy. Well, video games is kind of have a little split because Cole and Drew Whirl, who the guy who made Oath and uh Arcs and Root

Mhm.

he's leaving. They're leaving.

They are leaving.

They're leaving leader games. And they're also taking with them Kyle Fernon.

Fen

Faren and Ted Kaya who now now Kyle Faren, he makes all that art. You know the art that we see. Yeah. The art from leader they they like their art. I like the art.

You like that art?

I I like the art. The quirky art from Ford and from now see when I see Root.

Yeah.

I like I'm like that's a fun little game. But then you tell me it's not.

Oh, it's something else.

Not that it's not fun, BUT IT'S IT'S NOT CUTESY CUZ THE LITTLE characters look cutesy.

Yeah. But it's a war game.

Yeah. So, see that disappoints me.

It is a straight up war game. It is with cutesy little characters that try to kill each other.

That's deceiving.

I love it.

But I do like the artwork.

So, you know, arcs, it's you didn't you didn't have too much feelings for arcs, but I like arc.

So, arcs. So, that is leaving with the the you know, Cole and Drew. They're taking that.

They're leaving with Leita Games root.

Okay.

Now, that's Root's uh bread and butter. That is that is Leita Games bread and butter's root. So, that's going to stay there. and the art. Now, Kyle, uh, now Kyle Ferren, he's still gonna do the art for for Root. He He's still gonna do that. If they need that, he's still gonna do it.

But anything else, he gone.

Okay,

he go. So, they started, now they all started a new game, a new game company called Buried Giant Studios.

Buried Giant.

Buried Giant. Their logo is from Kyle Faren and it has like a giant

up to

up his nose.

Okay.

Yeah. Up to his nose.

Kind of like the Easter Island heads. We thought it was heads all these years and we find out that they have bodies under the ground.

Yes. Kind of sort of. And it says now first up they're going to do they're going to fulfill Oath's new foundations expansion. Now I have Oath. I haven't played oath because there's a lot of different, you know, you know, talk about oath good and a lot of bad

saying that, you know, it's the c, you know, once somebody goes ahead, you'll never catch them in oath.

So, I'm kind of scared about that, but I'm going to check it out.

Now, they also plan in uh the next quarter of this year a crowdfunding for arts called Arts Beyond the Reach.

Oh, okay. and they expect to do that. And they have some other things down the pipeline. So, we're going to see what they're going to do.

Okay.

So, that is big news. That is huge news.

Okay.

Huge. Now, some some other news is that Warhammer

Warhammer Games Workshop that has some expensive Warhammer stuff cuz you know they expensive y'all. They said no more AI art

for Warhammer. Oh, they were using AI AI.

No, they said they're not going to do it.

Oh, they weren't. Are they using? They're not. Okay. Okay.

They said now Games Workshop just told investors it doesn't allow AI generated content in its design process.

Well, that's good.

Framing it as an IP and respect of human creators, which is cool

decision while also reporting uh reporting record halfyear revenue cuz they, you know, they expensive, y'all. Games Workshop is expensive. So they they doing good. So that their big old stuff is just going to keep on going, but they're going to be cool to human artists.

So that is cool. And I do like uh Warhammer 40k. I love Warhammer 40k. I'm just not going to go down the rabbit hole of getting all those armies and stuff cuz that's that's a rabbit hole.

Now the last thing

is games that make kids sharper at math. family.

A new University of Oregon University study said they have evidence

of 18 studies that find that simple linear numbered board games. Think about numbered tracks you can count along.

Yeah.

Can boost early numbercy. And even 10-minute sessions help preschoolers grade two uh grade uh two learners with counting, number recognition, and quality learning.

So, that's pretty cool.

Yeah,

that's pretty cool. And so, that's a great tip for folks with families. You need to get board games. You need to get board games.

Yes. Yes.

Get some time at the table with

You need to do that.

Yes.

Get board games. Now, sorry about my voice. It look like I'm a little look little little raspy, but you know, we all good. But

might be screaming too much.

Got to be extra, baby. But anyway,

that is good to have. Math is, you know, cuz we did that with Grant.

Yes. Oh, yes.

You know, we put we made Grant do some math in those games.

He hated it

and he hated it, but he loved it. So, you know, I still hate math. I despise that subject,

but it helped him out. We don't understand. So, that's all the news that I have.

That's all the news. Okay. Well, everybody, this week we have a new sponsor.

Yes, we do.

We have a new sponsor. We're so excited to welcome Olsen Legal Services to the show.

Yes.

And so, this is a legal service right here in Omaha, Nebraska. We've got a spot for them. And we also have Spillbound Board Game Cafe. Don't go away. You won't want to miss this spot from OSA Legal Services. And we'll tell you more when we get back.

Yes. Now, go back. Go up, Grant. Let me see. Go up. Go. Go up. Now, Arwin said that it wasn't on her bingo card. That banning AI use wasn't on my 2026 bingo card, but I'm here for it. Yes. Game Workshop. Yeah, Game Workshop. That surprised me too cuz you would think one person that would use AI would probably be Games Workshop. For them to say no, that that really makes me happy.

Yeah, that really makes me happy. So, I know that they're anything that they deal with with their video games that they have, they got plenty of that and anything else they dealing with, they're going to say no to AI. So, I like that.

But Dana said if if it's more expensive because they pay real people to do artwork, I'm fine with it.

Games Workshop has the money. They have the money. Yeah, but they they're going to send it off to the consumer. You know, all businesses they off uh load their cost. They will. Games workshop is very expensive. They Yes, they will.

Consumer. That's what we'll have. They will.

Now, I just want to say thanks to Megan Rogers. Megan Rogers was our Flip Seven, the Grinch Edition winner.

Yes.

And Megan sent us a picture. Yes.

Of her and her whole team.

Whole team

playing Flip Seven. And we want to share that picture with you.

Yes. Yeah. So again, thank you Megan for sending that. Uh we appreciate it. Now I know we've got another one to get out to JJ and Andrea and we will get it to them when we see them, which hopefully will be soon. But yeah, Megan and her whole team are playing Flip Seven,

the whole team.

And she was so appreciative to win the game, and I'm just happy to see the game being played.

Yes. Glad.

Thank you, Megan.

Now JJ, we got to get your game to you. So we got to get you there.

Uh hey, Rolling Reggie.

HEY, ROLLING REGGIE.

HEY, JAN. GOOD TO SEE YOU. JJ said, "Was Mick in trouble?" No, I'm not in trouble with the lawyer. I'm not in trouble.

What?

I think the lawyer said, "Was Mick in trouble?" No,

it was about the Because he was actually in it.

OH, I WAS IN IT.

You remember the the filming?

Oh, yeah. I'm not in trouble. That I was acting. I was acting.

Yeah. Um

I was acting.

Yeah. We we had a whole video shoot and um we had to get some actors and Mick was one of the actors for uh Olsen. So, yeah, we did a video shoot. I WAS PULLED IN, Y'ALL.

Brad went out with all his cameras and lights and did all the video and stuff. And so, yeah, we we have a good relationship with Osen Legal Services.

Oh, it says uh happy uh holding my new newborn girl.

Oh, okay. SHE WAS BORN.

SHE WAS BORN.

OH MY GOD. PHOEBE

PHOEBE JUNE aka PJ the future gamer. CONGRATULATIONS. OH, WE GOT A NEWBORN IN THE RPG FAMILY. YOU GOT TO EMAIL US A PICTURE OR PUT IT ON YOUR social so we CAN SEE IT.

YEAH, THAT CAME QUICK.

Cong Well, it was quick for you cuz we just found out about it a few months ago, but it wasn't quick for him.

Yeah, it was quick for him. So, fe Oh, so is that Phoebe?

Phoebe June.

PHOEBE JUNE.

PJ

PJ

PJ.

All right.

CONGRATULATIONS.

SO, GOT us a little baby now. We got a little baby.

Got a little baby.

Yeah, we got a little baby in the family. All right.

I love it. I love it.

I love that.

All right, everybody. Let's talk about the Omaha Gaming Convention.

Yes. If you're in the chat right now, I know you've gotten your tickets. And if you haven't,

get them.

Yes,

get your tickets. We are planning a lot of good stuff for everybody. The Omaha Gaming Convention is right here in Omaha, Nebraska. Yes. July 10th through the 12th. And we're going to be doing uh our VIP. We're working on it. I'm getting some good information. Uh working on that event. That will be Friday morning of the 10th. So, if you're going to go on that adventure with us, you need to check in on the 9th. So, we have a hotel block starting on the 9th. So, you get the same discount rate from the 9th of July all the way through the 12th.

Yes.

Get in here on the 9th. We're leaving bright and early on Friday the 10th. Uh again, I'm getting all the details together. But right now, we're looking at Friday morning before the convention starts. We're going to take our tour. We're going to see Spillbound. We're going to see our bridge. We're going to see more sites in Omaha. And then we're going to come back and play games for the rest of the weekend.

I said uh Daddy said I had a noise complaint ticket. NO, I DIDN'T. AND THEN Monica said, "Don't shout, but wake up the baby." Hey, I will not WAKE UP THE BABY. I will not wake up the baby.

Hey, uh, Clark family.

Hey, Clark family. We got us a little baby. We got a little baby.

Again, if you haven't got your tickets and a lot of you in the chat, I know you've gotten your tickets. I've seen your names coming through. I can't wait to see everybody. I'm excited. But get your tickets. Tell a friend. We are going to have a blast.

Now, I got to go see if Reggie put it on.

Okay. So, now we're on the phone. We can't get you.

No, no, no. No, no. I got to see if REGGIE REGGIE, DID YOU PUT HER OUT THERE YET?

WE can't get you scrolling. Um, so anyway, um, again, come to the convention. We want to see you. Want to have a good time.

No, he did not.

Yes, Clark family, I know you guys are coming. When I saw your names come through, I was ecstatic.

I can't wait to see you guys.

We do not have a picture of the baby yet. PJ is not online yet,

but we told him to send a a picture. So, uh, Clark family, can't wait to see you guys. looking forward to it. Your your boys are getting so tall and handsome. Cannot wait to see that. They're probably both of them probably taller than me now.

Probably so.

Probably so.

Probably so.

ALL RIGHT. SO, LET'S get into this list

of the other anticipated games. Yes. Uh, part two, as we said.

Now, I'm going to come to one that Starless probably not that excited for, but I am.

And that is brass. Brass Pittsburgh.

Brass Pittsburgh. Now, we do have Brass Birmingham, which is the number one game on on BGG's, you know, all-time great, you know, game. That's number one.

We have it.

We haven't played it. I want to play it. I know Stala might play it cuz it is economic, but it is the ugliest game ever. It is very, very bland,

very bland, and very British. But brass Pittsburgh is American and a little bit more bright.

Yes.

Little bit.

Little bit more bright.

A little bit.

Yes. Now, it is expected to launch. Their game found is going to launch on February 3rd, 2026. And they're hoping for a 2026 release later on.

They're hoping for it. They planned for it. But it's going to be just like the old kind of well it's going to be a little bit different than brass but it's a new entry and it's the 19th century industrial revolution in America.

So it's going to be that.

Okay.

You know building networks and uh industries in the steel belt.

Okay.

So you know you got that

like Tony said love brass. Can't wait for Pittsburgh.

I I want to play brass Birmingham. That we got it and I want to play that.

I definitely want to play that.

All right. So, that's one that's on your list of anticipated games.

Yes. Okay.

Now, I got some news.

Now, LA last week, we talked about the Art of Rivalry. Yes.

From Board and Dice Games, right? One of their big games that's coming out.

Now, the they made a name change.

A name change.

I don't know why,

but their 2026 Art of Rivalry is now called Maestro.

Oh,

yes. It's called Maestro. They had a name change.

Is it about music?

No, it's about painting.

Oh, okay. A maestro. That maestro. Okay.

Yeah. Maestro of painting. It's about painting.

So, I I don't have too much on it, but we're going to check and see what it is.

A name change.

A name change. But I'm excited cuz it's another,

you know, board and dice game.

Okay.

You know, it's not a tea game. It's a M game.

I I like Art of Rivalry other than Maestro. Maestro is just so generic. It can mean a lot of things because when you said maestro, the first thing I thought of as a conductor.

Yeah. Conductor,

you know. Yeah. Okay.

Yeah. So, that that

that confused me, but we're going to go with it.

We got some comments here. Shane Bennett says, "Same here. Brass Birmingham is our favorite. Can't wait for Pittsburgh." Yes. Uh Blaine, just when I thought I probably would never have an interest in brass. Wow.

Uh D Clark, love Brass Birmingham. Looking forward to Pittsburgh.

Okay. See that? She likes it. That's JJ. Kind of scared to try brass Birmingham.

I'm not

I'm not scared of it, JJ. It just doesn't interest me. But Mick keeps telling me B uh Pittsburgh is gonna interest me. We will see.

Yeah, we'll see. We'll see. All right. So,

Dana said, "Why you scared, JJ?"

Now, we got another one.

Okay.

We got another one. Uh it's called Now, we played this.

Okay.

As a preview. We we previewed it

and uh it was it's a fun game that we were excited about. At first we was like we did that to it and we like but we like it and it's bagged and bordered. Bordered

boarded. Bagged and boarded.

So right.

Yes.

When we first got it first I didn't understand what the title meant.

Yes. We didn't understand. Bagged and boarded. What is that?

Yes. But then of course our son who's a comic book uh person. He loves comic books. He said that's what it means. You know that you collect bag Yeah. And board them so that you can rape them and whatever they do to them. But they also tend to sell comics like that as well in the shop. So whenever you see them like that, they're probably already back and boarded

and boarded. And so we played the game and I'm going to tell you, I fell in love with it.

I cannot wait to play this game. And you you're a kid out there trying to collect comic books and you get an allowance or you can work for more money, do some chores, and go out there and get comic books. And I'm going to tell you, you get so immersed in the theme, you know, cuz I'm like, I gota I got to work and do some more chores because I want to spend money and get comic books and oh my god, it is a fun game. I am so excited. I really wish them much success when Bagged and Boarded comes out. Get it.

So, they're saying that the release date is listed for 2026.

I hope so.

And I hope they get it out

and go check out our preview of it. It was a really, really fun game.

Yes, it was a really fun game. Yeah.

And you know it it was like it was kind of like work placement

and then kind of set collection all together and it was a lot of fun. It was a lot.

And I love the cute little comic books that they came up with the different titles which of course are, you know, offshoots of real but it was really cute the way they came up with the different comic book titles and the artwork and all that stuff. And I got to go back to my show that I was talking about last week and and Greg, you know, I'm going to mess it up. It's junk or

jackpot. Jackpot.

Junk of Jackpot.

And we just watched one where there was a woman who collects Wonder Woman

memorabilia

stuff. A lot of stuff

from thermoses to lunchbox to dolls to a collection of comics.

She's Wonder Woman.

She has all kinds of comic books and she had to sell some in order to do a remodel of her home.

Yes. And she only sold six pieces from her over 2,000 piece collection. Six pieces. Yes. And got $18,000. Yes.

Why didn't I start collecting?

I forgot about those three books, right?

No. No. Six of them. It was It was three comic books. She got over 8,000 for comic books.

Comic books. Yeah. Comic books. Well, they are expensive sometimes.

Three of them for 8,000. And then she sold uh some dolls. It was two dolls and something else. I can't remember.

Action figures. Action figures.

Dolls. She sold some dolls. and action figures

and uh some you know some that you won't see anymore and but six pieces. She has over 2,000 in her collection. She has some really unique stuff. I I should have collected comic books when I was a kid.

Yeah,

that's crazy.

Yeah, we got a few. Greg got a few.

But it just it just reminded me when we talked about bagged and bordered. She had all these comic books and they were in, you know, wrappings and some had the what do you call them, Grant? Is it ratings or how they rate the number? They give them a level like a one

the gradings.

Graatings. Thank you. 1.5, an eight or whatever. And the higher the number, the more expensive or the more collectible it is. She had a stack of them.

She had a lot of Wonder Woman. It was all Wonder Woman.

There's a lot of Wonder Woman.

Everything from clothing.

Yeah.

Just everything Wonder Woman. So, there are a lot of people out there that

suit Halloween mask.

Now, Dana said, "Bagged and boarded looks like Comic Hunters, but for a broader audience." Well, Comic Hunters let us down. Yeah,

they let us down. It's much better than coming

because it really the game is good but the components just

killed it.

Yeah.

But board uh uh bagged and boarded I think it's going to surprise us and it's a whole it's a little different but it's going to be good. It's going to be good.

If you like Comic Hunters, you'll love this. If you didn't like Comic Hunters,

you'll still love this. Yes, you'll still love it.

Yeah, you still cuz it's like it's it's worker placement like I said. So yeah, very much great game. I I was I was very surprised how much I liked it. So it surprised me.

I was surprised how much I liked it. So

I haven't said I agree with Stara. Sometimes a game theme can peique your interest and make you get it. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. For her a lot of times. A lot of times.

Uh Monica said a real life Wonder Woman. Yes. That the woman we saw in this show I mean she would dress like Wonder Woman. She had her nails were painted like Wonder Woman.

She dressed like Wonder Woman.

Mhm. Yeah. Red top, blue bottom,

and then she had like stuff like she was on the island.

I was seeing if I could find a picture.

She was on the island, you know. Low quality picture I found. But this is it.

It's a good show.

You really do like that.

I am hooked on it. I love seeing what people collect.

Yeah. That's her her Wonder Woman stuff.

Wonder Woman stuff. All the Wonder Woman stuff.

Yes. I mean, cuz we're collectors. We We collect board games. Yeah. Yeah. She She was great.

Um, thanks for showing that, Grant.

Yes. What else we have up here?

Oh, JJ said, "Not sure. Maybe seems overly complicated. I felt the same way for Dinosaur Island until we played it and realized it wasn't. It's a weird perception thing on my part."

Yeah, Dinos Island was that bad.

No, it wasn't that bad, but it seemed that way in the beginning. Uh Blaine said, "I understand that completely. I had the same perception of Dinosaur Island, but found out I loved it. On the other hand, I felt the same way about Spirit Island, but that one I parted with." Now, Spirit Island, I I have everything for it, but I haven't played it because it, you know, I just haven't got there. But I know all about it and I'm gonna keep it because I like the the theme of it. Getting rid of the col, you know, the colonizers. I love that. I love it. Getting rid of the coloniz. I love that.

Uh Monica says, "Shocking, but if they are rare, they can't be expensive." We're talking about comic books. I was asked if I could pay 250 for one texter magazine once. I couldn't afford it at the time. You know what's really crazy, Monica? This lady said that she bought 350 comic books in a big lot from somebody for only $500 and now she's got ones that are in her collection that are just over the top with price.

Ivan says Stara is not surprised on the first appearance of SP of Superman is valued at $80,000 and Spider-Man valued at $40 to $50,000. It's a lot.

Shocking.

Yeah. when you got those first first appearances, you know, that's just like in um bagged and and boarded. When you have the first appearance, it's you get more money. Yeah.

The bagged and board, he captured the whole idea of coming because

Yes. And and ratings and all that cuz you at one point you go get your your magazines rated and that's really cool. And you get them signed and then they get rated. I mean, he he has the whole caption of what happens with comics. And I didn't know it was that, you know, uh, indepth or, you know, just had so much involved in it. Now I know just from that game.

It's really cool. Now, the last two we going to talk about.

Now, you got to you got to save the best for last.

Yeah. I'm going to save the best for last.

Yeah. MAKE MAKE HIM WAIT.

BUT THERE'S TWO BUT IT'S TWO THAT we really really love.

Yes.

And we can't wait. Now, me and Grant played one of them.

Me and Grant played one of them. And then we all played the second one. Now, the one that me and Grant played and a few others out there, Arwin Arwin loves it. She loves this game. It's called Chicken Fried Dice from our good friend Ashwin.

Yeah.

Ashwin uh with Kamath Kamath. Cometh and Rob Newton.

Yeah.

And their uh their company is called Union of Urban Professional Games.

And chicken fried dice is what it is. It's dice rolling.

Yeah.

It's you know, everybody does it at the same time. grab dice they need and try to build up their um their their uh food truck.

Okay.

And it is so much fun.

I didn't get a chance to play it. You know, I WAS PLAYING SOME CRAZY.

YEAH. YOU GUYS PLAYED IT at Orcacon, right? Yes. I didn't play it.

Chicken Fried Dice. Y'all y'all when it comes out,

you got to go get it.

It is so much fun. Grant, what you think about it? It was the my favorite game that I played at that convention, that's for sure. And then also, I can't wait to play it again just because mom didn't get a chance to try it and I know she will like it.

She will.

Had a lot of dice rolling. I do think it's pretty enjoyable. I think a lot of people would like it, too.

Yeah, it's totally different from Ashwing's first game, Wolves, which no there's no luck in it.

Yeah, I love that.

So, it's totally different than Wolves.

I mean, a little a little luck.

Yeah. Well, for No, no, no. Wolves had no luck.

Oh, yeah. Wolves. Okay.

Yeah. Wolves had no luck. But this one has A LOT OF LUCK. BUT it is so much fun. It is so much fun.

Well, I think Arwin is in agreement. She

Oh, Arwin said, "I will play it with you anytime, Star." She loves We're going to play.

She said, "Heck yeah, by the way."

Heck yeah.

Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. We're going to leave it right there. Um Lori says she saw Ashan at Orcon and he had a new prototype of chicken fried dice. Can't wait for it to come He's got a new

I saw everybody playing that and I was very upset.

I was very upset

cuz you weren't there.

Yes. And I wasn't playing that cuz I'm so excited. So the kickstart is supposed to be 2026 around this time, you know, in a few months and then hopefully expected for the last

last few months of 2026. So hopefully we'll see it at the end of 2026. But I'm telling y'all,

we're ready.

It's It's a good game. It is a really good game. Hey, Chuck Franklin. Welcome, Charles Franklin. Well, Chuck is a short for Charles. Hey, Chuck.

Hey. But definitely, it is so much fun. I love the game. Love it. Now, the last one.

The last one. I don't think we should say it. I think we should just wait a little bit longer.

No, we got to say it. The last one. The last one.

I'm going to say right now, Tony, it is not my fault.

It's not her fault.

Well, you're kind of giving it away now.

Say it. The last one is Caddyy Wampus.

Cattywampus. Caddyy Wampumpus from Tony uh Law Horn.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Come on.

So, just call him our sign guy.

Yes. Uh Tony Law Horn.

He's our sign guy.

And it is made by Third World Studio. Uh what is that? Third World Studios. And it's expected to come out 2026 this year.

Yeah.

And And we played it.

Yeah.

It's fun.

Well, let me tell you. I know I told this story after we got back from um Grand Con. Tony told us about his game and he told us, you know, it's kind of a drawing game kind of picture. Yeah, we didn't know. We were like, okay.

I was I was like, you know, he said, I want Star, I want you to play it. And I'm going, I hope I like this game because I I like Tony a lot. And I would hate to not like his game. It hurt his feelings cuz he's been our sign guy for years. And we don't want to lose that relationship. I say, "Okay, Tony, I'm going to play it." And I was in my in the back of my mind, I'm going, "Stara, please like this game. Please like this game." And we played it with the Clark family.

Yes.

The Clark family was there. And we all

played it, too. Oh, and Ally played it.

Yeah. So, we played it and let me tell you,

yes,

I was pleasantly surprised. We loved it. We cracked up about it. And in this game, you've got these words you're putting together

and then you got to draw what the words say. It's

the adjectives that put and you got to figure out

Yes.

the picture. So, it's not just straight pictionary. You're drawing every your team or whatever is drawing one half of the picture.

Well, you don't know. YOU DON'T KNOW if what your partner's going to do cuz if you if it has like a a giraffe, you know, a funny a funny giraffe or a roller skating giraffe.

You don't know what your your partner is going to do. Are they going to do the front END OF THE GIRAFFE OR THE BACK END OF GIRAFFE? And sometimes YOU'LL HAVE TWO BACK ENDS

OF THE giraffe footage of it and I do have

you you'll have two backends and that is some funny stuff.

Tony did a good job. was surprised that he got a a fresh take on pretty much like Pictionary. It's just a different take on Pictionary.

Yeah. And I'm excited to see, you know, what's going to happen, you know, when you you smash them together,

you know, and and it's a lot of fun. I want to check out saying Catty Wampus was a lot of fun. Yes.

Yes. So, we're I'm wishing Tony much success with this game.

Much success, Tony.

Yes. And it has been mentioned already by a few other content creators.

Yeah.

So, it it is hot.

It's hot, y'all. It's hot. So, I'm excited.

Mimi said to Tony, she said, "Every time I play Just Desserts, I think about you because you introduced that card game to me at the Durham Museum event a while ago." Oh, that's right. Cuz Mimi came to the event we had at the Duro.

Listen, Just Desserts. Yeah, Just Desserts is so much fun.

It is. It is a lot of fun.

It is a lot of fun. And you know, Tony be introducing folk to a lot of stuff

cuz he introduced us to a few games too over the years. And Tony will be um at OGC introducing people to games there, too.

Yes. Yes. What's up, Matthew Rose? Hey, Matthew.

Happy Martin Luther King Day to you, too.

Thank you. Yes. Uh Mick will be off tomorrow, and I'm going to take tomorrow off in celebration.

Yes, we're going to do something tomorrow, too.

And Grant's off tomorrow, so we're all going to celebrate here.

Yes, we're going to do something. Yes. So, that is all that I got.

Well, I I want to talk a little bit.

Oh, and I even had a suggestion, too. Oh, I've uh I said here's a game that's coming out later this year from Kickstarter. What I backed uh and honor honors in. Now, see, I didn't come up with honors in because we have played that and we also did a preview of it. We did

and I and I played the game actually. I played it solo and it is a fun kind of RPG-ish type, you know, game. It's an adventure

that IV Games did and IV Games, you know, their production value. Ivy Games lost. They They always lose their mind.

They They don't skimp.

They always lose their mind because they're talking now that uh Tind the LA the one that they had, you know, last year that is just blowing up. 10 is blowing up.

They went overboard on that one.

Yeah.

Totally overboard. And they said they're about to run out of games on that one. They're about to sell out.

So this next one, Honors In, they're still working on it. Still getting the story together. And it is a an adventure. An adventure that's going to be pretty good. Pretty cool.

Yeah. Thank you, Ivan, for sharing that. We have somebody new in the chat. Kita the cat 6375. Thank you so much. We appreciate that. Uh would love to see more Magnive Metro map playthroughs. Thank you.

Thank you. Thank you. We might do that maybe. I don't know. We might. We do have volume two. So

we have volume two.

Yeah. So thank you again for coming to the show. Love to see you come back again next week. Now I want to talk a little bit about something that I did yesterday.

What is that? What' you do? Now, every week we talk about, you know, where you can find us. Where you can find us. And I always tell you guys, you can find us on The Hobby Tales from the Tabletop. Yes. Which is running right now on Prime TV and on Prime Vide. Prime Video. Thank you. Prime Video and on Apple TV. So, I got them confused. Apple TV. Well, last time we saw the movie was at the movie theater when they previewed it here in Omaha. So, I decided last night to sit down and watch it again on my own TV. So, if you have Prime Video, you can get this movie and just watch it for free if you've already paying for the service. Yes. And I decided to watch it and and my two guys here said, "Oh, you going to watch it again?" I said, "Yeah, cuz I I want the luxury to sit down." Yeah, I went downstairs on my own TV. He rewatches movies all the time.

All the time.

Yes, I do. I I annually rewatch all of the uh Avengers movies.

All of them. Every year I rewatch all of them.

Not just the Avengers, also like literally every golden age Marvel movie. But yes, all of them. Now, but what we're going to do before you finish before you finish what we going to do this time though, let me tell you family,

the the the family here, we have an unnatural love for James Bond 007.

But you didn't let me finish my story. You've hijacked my story.

Oh, I'm sorry. You hijacked.

I was going to talk about James now. It's too late now. It's not too late. I I want to finish my story. Go ahead. Go ahead. Finish my story.

Yeah. Cuz I was going to say how you look at movies all the time.

Whoa. Whoa. Whoa.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So, back to my story. I was able to sit down and watch it. And I think for me, the reason why I rewatch movies is because I can always see something that I missed the first or second time. So, I got a chance to see it again. And overall, Grant and I discussed it last night.

You know, we talk about the movie. We say, "Oh, you know, we wish this had been in there. We wish that had been in there." But Greg was saying that this movie is geared toward people who don't know the hobby

so they can see all the different aspects of the hobby.

And I got to tell you guys, I'm I'm so grateful that Simon uh decided to put us in the movie. It's it's a nice piece that's going to last for years to come. So if you haven't checked it out, go check it out. And I'll probably watch it annually every year now that I've seen it on my own TV. I'll probably watch it every year. I'll see something new. The only critiques that I have about the hobby is that I think, you know, Simon,

he did a good job, but I think he leaned too hard on the World Series of Board Gaming.

Yes.

And he leaned a little bit hard on that guy who did the um you know, the the designer.

Designer. Yeah. I mean, but those were things.

Yeah. But but like, you know, I wish he would have leaned a little bit more on some of the stories that he had. I wanted to learn more about Candice. Yeah.

He had a lot about us. you know, he went into different people that he talked about. I wish he could have leaned a little bit more on the stories of the different mom yesterday is that actually I feel like this is a movie that you don't show to someone really in in the hobby itself. You show this to someone outside of the hobby because it has a lot of stuff focused for people who don't really know what's in the board game hobby. And I think this would be a perfect introduction, but then it's up to them to find out more.

Yeah. Cuz it shows you a lot of different things and it shows you different people and what brought them to the hobby.

Yes. Yes, it does.

Because all of us have a different reason.

Yes.

While we're in the hobby and I think that that's great. Uh Grant Scrollback because I wanted to say a few things. Uh Tony, tell Damon hi.

Um I I'm happy. I hope he's watching. Tell him hi. Uh okay, that's JJ.

Oh. Oh, he said Tony Law JJ said Tony Law, we think of you every time we see Endeavor Deep Sea on our shelf after you teaching Andrea and I how to play. Yes. Great game. Great game. Great game.

Tony is an awesome teacher.

Tony is a good teacher. That's why we call on him all the time.

Yes, we do.

All right. Can you scroll, please? Uh Blaine said,

"Yeah, now

uh Blaine said, uh the hobby for being available on Prime."

That's Ashe.

Oh, hey Ashie Feed. Hey, Mo. Hi.

Hey Mo, what's up?

Um available on Prime. So he Bla say he's going to watch it this afternoon. Good. Go watch it. Go watch it.

Uh Greg, did you show the graphic? But anyway, uh what else? Uh D. Clark said, "We finally watched the hobby last week. It was very well done. hope to get to visit uh Spillbound during those. Yes, we're we're planning it. You will see Spillbound.

Yes. Now, what I was saying about James Bond Star loves to look at movies 50 different times again. I mean, look at repeat movies all the time. I don't

I see it one time AND I'M GONE. BUT

I give I give an exception to a lot of different movies. Yes.

The things that he he's really interested in, he'll he'll stop midwalk if he hears it and watches it. But I like other things and then I'll watch it. Why you watching it again?

Why you watch it again?

I I I like watching movies over.

She watch a lot of movies again. I'm like, why are you watching that again?

Some people will go to the theater and watch the movie three or four times.

But you watch a lot of a lot of times.

Well, I have annual visits to movies that I I do.

Yes, she does. So, like I was saying, we have an unnatural love for James Bond and all the all the different iterations. We love them all. This this unnatural love actually is something that I kind of caused because we watched 007 Road to a Million. It's a game show also on Amazon Prime.

So we do but we do love James Bond and um you know we we we saw this mo you know the little game show the reality show and then Grant said hey

let's look at all 25 James Bond movies

start from the start of Dr. No to the end of No Time to Die. So, we're going to do that very soon when it comes on free on Netflix next week. We're going to start watching them. So, we're going to go with Stara and start repeating movies and see them all again.

Now, we we know there's some issues with James Bond. We know that they're a little sexist and all that. We know, but we're going to give a little license to the writer and and try to go into the story that they're trying to portray. But overall, the acting is is interesting. Not always the best, but a lot of times it can be funny. And you know, seeing the good guy win, you know, that's really the whole thing. You know, he's the good guy and he's going to take out the bad guy. And and I love that premise. And and we need some good guys right now to take out some of our bad guys. But that's another whole story.

We need a James Bond.

We need James Bond.

We need We need an American James Bond. So,

you know, but you know, my favorite James Bond. Now, let me tell you, I did a playthrough. I did a playthrough of the uh of Upper Decks legendary James Bond and and it's really fun. We still have it over there. And my favorite James Bond that I played in it now. Go see that cuz Grant did a great job with the title sequence. The title sequence is one of the best opening of the videos.

Oh, the opening of the video for James Bond. Grant killed it.

Grant killed it. He killed it. now. But my favorite James Bond that I played in the game and that I love is Shan Connory. He is James Bond.

You're answering this question as well.

What is that? Or which actor is your favorite James Bond? Sean Connory. He is my favorite of all time. Now after him is Roger Moore. I like him. And then after that is Pierce Broen. That's my three.

Okay, we we got a lot of people out here talking. Uh uh let's see. Dana says, "I like watching movies and TV shows repeatedly. If they make me feel something, I need to feel in the moment. Then it becomes my comfort show." See, Dana, Dana, we're right here. We are right here. So, uh, then, um, what? Oh, let me go. No, no, you're going too fast for me. Oh, Red Lover says, "Love James Bond, too." Yes. And then Mimi said, "I have a lot of movies I watch over and over. I'm with you, Star." So, Mimi and Danny, y'all understand that there are some movies you just want to see again. Uh, Red Lover said, "I agree with Stara. Idris Ela needs to be the next James Bond, please." I don't think he's gonna make it because he's a little bit too old. They're thinking about three other British African I mean British, you know, black actors. You know, they're not African-American, but they're British. And I think one is um the guy from Bridgetton. You know, that guy

I have a lot to say on the subject, so I'm going to let him finish.

The guy from Bridgeten. And then the young man from Snowfall. And then the last one is um the the young man who uh

Renee

Renee, what is her name?

Oh, that's the Bridgeten guy.

The Bridgetton guy. And then what's the one that was uh Tanya? That that lady

Tiana Taylor. I can't think of his name.

Boyfriend. I can't exboyfriend now.

Ex-boyfriend now. Yeah.

Yeah.

He was What was he on? Oh, he was the that the guy who was fighting that sheriff.

Yeah.

Don Johnson's evil sheriff.

Yeah. I don't remember the movie, but uh

but yeah. So, those are the three British uh British guys that they're looking at.

Um we got some things. Grant, can you scroll back? said Sean Cry was the best bun. See that? Yes.

Right here.

Uh, okay. So, I'm going to get into that. Someone said

not what I'm highlighting. Where?

Okay. I agree. I agree with Stara. Idris Ela needs to be

We read that one.

Okay. What's What's the next one?

I don't know.

No. No. Needs to be the next Shane B. Please. We didn't read that. That's from Red Lover.

That's what I was talking about, but yeah, that's what I was talking about.

Oh, here we go. Shane. Shane Bennett. Rumors going on that Starless boyfriend, Idris, is rumored to be the next Jane Bond.

Yeah, they said that might not happen.

Okay, let me let me talk about that. I think you missed something there, Dad.

What?

He said he said his boyfriend.

No, it's not a boyfriend. It's not a boyfriend.

See, you're not listening, man. You got to hear that. That's crazy. What the heck? Come on.

Let Let me say something about Idris.

Now, you guys know

he's too old.

You You guys know that I I I like Idris a lot. You know that.

Well, you stop that.

But I have to agree since Idris is my age. I'm saying a lot there. He's my age. The the thing is I think he's too old to carry the franchise now. They should have got him years ago. And I'm okay with some of the newer people, but Idris can do other things. I mean, he he can do other stuff like other movies.

No, but he can be James Bond now.

Yeah, I I think he may be a little old, but even though I mean Sean Connory was a old

James Bond Sean Connory, was he not Sean? No, he was young.

He just looked old.

Yeah, Dr. No, he was very young. Okay, I guess he was very young. All right, but yeah, thank you guys for for remembering. Uh Blaine said Roger Moore was directed to play the character with too much broad comedy winking since he was uh so good as a secret agent in The Saint. I don't get it. Yeah, he was a little bit more of the comedy

James Bond. He was the more the funny James Bond.

Yeah, Roger Moore. But it was cool. It was cool.

Yeah. Yes. Shane, I I really I really really wish they could have gotten Idris years ago for Bond. He would have been epic.

Yes, he would.

He could have actually used his British accent because most time he's in American movies. you don't know he has a British accent. I would love to hear him use that more often.

Uh Monica said Tom Holland could be Baby Bond. They are they are thinking about using it going like James Bond as the younger

I love Tom Holland. He is so cute as Spider-Man. He is hilarious in the in the uh

I don't think he I James Bond maybe.

I I love I love Tom Holland. He is just hilarious. I love him as Spider-Man. He is just the quintessential Spider-Man for me. I will always remember him as Spider-Man.

Yes. Yes. Uh, couldn't they have James Bond's golden years with IDRIS ELA? OH,

RED LOVER SAID HE'S not too old. He fits the mold. I I'm with you. I am with you. But I mean, just, you know, for the character, I guess we should go a little bit younger, but I he could be the golden years. Idris Ela.

Yeah. But I think he they go they I think they're going to try to get somebody real young cuz it'll be like the the start of James Bond career that start because we have a video game that's coming out called First Light

and that's supposed to be canon in you know the James Bond where we see James Bun starting as a young a young guy. They have a new character for that one. That one is Patrick Gibson. And you may, if you have seen it, he was in the show Dexter Original Sin as a young version of Dex.

Okay. Cory L say, if you don't care about the age of actor doing all that action, then why not Harrison Ford? Okay. Now, Harrison Ford is way old.

He's way too old. They had to do some uh you know CGI of him on his last Indiana Jones movie. So, no. Well, no. They they daged him for flashbacked him. Just a flashback.

Yeah, they had to dag him. He look old. He look old.

Now, I said James Bond is funny to me. A real intelligence agent should stay in the background and not stand out. My uh my uncle, God rest his soul, used to WORK FOR THE CIA.

WHOA. OH, WOW. OKAY. I get it. I get it.

Wow. That's cool. That is so cool.

Arwin says, "Every time I hear Tom Holland, I think of Umbrella."

What is Umbrella?

What's Umbrella?

Arwin, explain that. What Umbrella?

Umbrella. I don't know.

Oh, that's what your movie is in.

Anyway, so that's

Explain that, Arwin. What you talking about?

I think she was referring to the lipsync battle.

Oh.

OH,

song Umbrella.

Yes, that was good.

Oh, okay.

I think he did a good job with that.

Okay. Okay.

He did a good job with that. That was fun. Yeah, I saw that.

Um, for something else, I don't know, but I'm pretty sure that's what it is.

That's probably Shane said, "If you get a chance, check out the British TV show called Luther that stars Idris." He was excellent in that. I have not watched it yet, and I need to watch it. Watch it.

No, we did. We watched it. Oh, the first one. There's a new one.

The first one. There's a new one out. There's a new one out. But we saw the first season. We did. We saw that.

Yeah, there's new one out. Um.

Oh, yeah. Talk about the lip sync battle. Yes.

Yeah. It was epic. It was really really good.

Okay.

All right everybody, that is on lip sync battle.

That is our show today. Thank you guys for coming out. This has been a fun fun show.

IT ALWAYS IS.

You guys always come up with some great stuff. It's

even though my my voice is all crazy.

I don't know what happened to his voice.

I don't know what happened to his voice. I don't know.

I mean, you took a hot shower. around.

I don't know.

After he gets out of the shower, just there's going to be a random debuff.

Debbuff me. Debuffing. I'm debuffing. I'm debuffing.

All right. Blade has a A DAD JOKE.

OH, DAD JOKE. DAD JOKE.

All righty. Dad joke of the day is

Yes.

A sweater I bought kept picking up too much static electricity, so I returned it to the store. They gave me another one free of charge.

That's a good one.

That's a good one. Bla, thank you so much for that.

Yes, that is a good one.

We appreciate you guys so much.

Dan said, "Drink some hot tea." I'M GOING TO DO that with honey. We have honey.

Let me tell you, family, we got so much honey in our pantry. It is unreal.

Mhm.

We got a bunch

Why Why is that, Nick?

Well, we got some from Kansas City.

Uhhuh.

We got some from Kansas City that was given to us.

Yeah. But then not too far from us, every I think from June

June to October

to October, there's a farm that comes and sets up shop near the house.

Yes.

What what are they called? Um
