36 need for you and me St here's what you play see wayne if I was um an alien uh coming down uh to her com arriving arriving in in wording and I was like oh I heard about Paradise what is Paradise Paradise is a board gaming convention here on the south coast of England in a beautiful area of Worthing right around uh this wonderful place of the world that we live we we we went to the first Paradise last year when we first moved down to this area yes exactly and in the one year uh it's doubled in size it's now two days in and doubled in days yes and Si in a venue that's twice as big uh at leure Center yes and just for context um uh it was small last year but we saw uh a few games that then went a little boo blew up um something like something like uh fate and Fable that just closed his Kickstarter over a quarter of a million so and we saw the game before anybody else that he was there um myia Jack as well is another um Paradise a fiction Melia the mushroom game even

09 that one exploded over the Internet so uh wy's got a it's got a reputation now for a lot of like Indie UK especially we got as well nice like some indie Publishers and designers that's just to give you an idea of what kind of people you will find around little little SP on top of that what else can we found this year Paradise year there's going to be a trade Hall with over 50 vendors so typically what you'll find is everything adjacent to your board gaming needs from Paradise last year I got some really cool uh to Holders from me I use those all the time uh you get gaming mats you get dice you can get all those accessories for everything that you do for B gam and ball gaming tion cuz it's there's going to be a lot of stores with um uh nice geeky bits geeky jewelry and whatever whatever you like 3D printing uh stuff and uh painting and you can whatever you name it you name it and of course games you can you can buy a lot of games yeah of course you can buy games too uh and speaking of the games there is an open gaming space for well over 200 people and free to play board game Library M we love the library just for the entry fee of going into the convention you can play any number of the games Y and the library is gently offered by the guys said uh comic games and coffee comic games and coffee um that is a shooing wording um and the guys have a great Shop with a lot of like games and comics and they basically

42 help Paradise with the with the library that is absolutely fantastic so well done to you guys for for being involved providing that fantastic library for you to go and rent some games and and play some games uh there is also an RPG zone so for those role players amongst you if you want to get involved in some role playing there will be some friendly GMS running games that you can sign up for and enjoy a game of D and D adventurers League or yeah whatever it is that you like and on all this ones they going to have um like separate rooms from the M are because you need a little bit more of silence for this kind of game so there's going to be the RPG area there is going to be the uh blood on yeah the clock um Blood on the clock tower of Mafia um that kind of rooms each rooms will have GM like running run running the games um so and one of them is a VIP if I remember right yeah so one of the runners of uh Blood on the clock tower will be Ivan Brett from the traitors so best shot ever made that's not true but but apparently he was a person on that show and apparently he does it very well you may have also seen him on no rolls Bard as a guest doing it there as well as well as the social deduction so and there over 30 schedule games of that different types of like social deduction that's a lot we saw it last year that were very very popular and it's one of those games that the more the better so in this kind of like in this cons they always they're always getting busy and

13 they're always getting really fun because it's uh it's better when you are a lot of people is as long as as well as that there's also got a play test and a demo zone so you can go and play test some new indie games potentially go see some new stuff for example we got to see Fame and Fable and myia and stuff like that last year they will be there as well this year uh as like so maybe the next big hit coming from the south coast might be there you might be playing it before everybody else and flex and flex well I played that before it came out so you can but you can meet you can meet these people you can meet the designer you can talk to them exactly yeah of course then there's going to be a bringing by cuz that is is great um for the bringing by if you go on the website again all the links in the Bel below um you can basically submit the form with the gamees that you bring in the prize that you you wanted it in the morning before the show open up very very early um you can bring all the games and then come and collect the cash um at the end bringing by cash only that's uh how it is as usual and um and then yes there's going to be on stage events and uh quits and uh a lot of stuff so yeah we can't that's really exciting and like I said we are we're going to be there because this is our local convention so we're going to be spending some time playing some games y so if we uh can encourage you to come down and check out

43 the space please don't hesitate to say hello uh and play a game with us um I'm sure we're going to be play with me yes so can I pleas pleas please like someone with someone else but we're going to bring a couple of um heavy games I think we we'll see something stuff new something maybe then hasn't G retail yet so we we going have any surprise we're going to have um um some goodies for for you if you say hi we'll definitely we'll definitely give you a little token of appreciation but yeah apart from that let's say it again is Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 March 2025 so if you see these on the 1 of April too late go next yearor you check for next year but um otherwise if you see it now um it it's definitely worth it uh we don't see it just because it's our hometown one but it's an up and coming and and growing con um that we we would really like to go really big because there is nothing down south so exactly come down south so Matt Saturday 29th Sunday 30th of March we're going to Paradise baby we are going to be there all day both days so uh we really would like you to be there as well with us andang come play some games with us or you go other games or you go and buy games or you sell games and they bring them by or you go to one of the events you can do so many things do so many
