hey there I'm Z flinger of zman games here we have parade uh parade is uh has come in a new version we have some uh new artwork uh and also in a new box here a big style box here with some nice coloring the game comes with some coasters uh as you can see here they're playing and you can see the the different uh pieces of art for the game uh in this game you it's set in the Alice Adventures in Wonderland there's a parade going on and what you're trying to do is not get cards or at least get the lowest points possible you have to play cards to the parade uh depending on what you play you may have to take some cards out of the parade into your Tableau but again you want to try to get the lowest points possible uh the other thing you can do is if you have the majority of a color uh those count those points will count one point per card rather than the uh card value itself for example this gentleman here has uh Five Points in the red the zero and the five and seven s so he has 12 right now and the other person has six um but with the majority in red those will flip over and count as one Points each so actually he actually he has nine at this point uh the game uh plays until I believe either somebody has all six colors in their Tableau or the uh the card deck runs out yes hey this is uh Robinson cruso uh we got some Castaways over here trying to survive on this island uh looks like uh they seem to be doing okay take oh another the Carpenters is a little wounded there uh in this game uh they are uh on the uh they're exploring the island that we see
over here um they have a it looks like they have a shelter over here uh you on this in this game it's scenario based the game comes with six scenarios um and um the basic one Castaways is you're stranded on the island and you're trying to survive and you want to build a wood pile and fire to uh um hail any ships that pass by uh you can see cards on the right over there those are things that can be built they don't become available it depends on the terrain that's being shown uh when a Terrain becomes available then the uh item is is becomes available to be built but you can also build things like shelter roofs Palisades uh the weapon level is very important when you want to go hunting you'll see some cards over here with uh with the red uh Beast deck these are things that you can fight uh to kill to get food and and uh fur and uh uh food is very important obviously cuz every night everybody has to eat otherwise they're going to take wounds uh other things you can do you can explore the island you can gather resources and you can also build things and that's the stuff I said before you can build items Palisades roofs uh and so on and so forth uh you also got to watch out for the weather some scenarios roll weather dice early some later uh you have rainclouds to worry about you got snow clouds and then also you have a beast ey uh that can either break down your wall it can uh eat your food uh or just generally attack your Camp uh what do you see over here he's rolling dice usually you have two uh you have two pawns to play with if you assign one Pawn to a task then you have
to roll dice to see if you succeed or if you take a and if you take a wound and if you have an adventure if you put two pawns to uh something that you do then you don't have to roll in most cases uh right now here he has an adventure you have to read the top part of the card uh do what it says and then usually you have to add it to the event deck so this stuff can come in later so choices that you make now can affect you later on all right here we got a game of black spy in progress uh this is a trick-taking game by Alan Moon uh with a spy theme uh in this game also you are trying to uh not get uh points uh the more points you get uh the worse off you're doing the uh you want to try to get uh the other players sevens or any actually any sevens are worth uh negative points but if you get the black spies the black sevens they're uh going to hurt your score very much and actually any of the black cars will add you add more to your score and you don't want those but it's a standard trick-taking game I believe it's uh reminiscent of Hearts uh it's also in the same style of parade and the very nice uh uh nice big box nice colors on the back of the cards and it also comes with some coasters uh in this game the trick taking you have to follow suit um and again you're trying to avoid taking uh black cards if possible all right this is nishima hex 3.0 no the board is not this big when it
comes out of the box um uh basically it's the uh the same game uh as a Nima heex that we had published years ago uh it's just been graphically redesigned uh really very very nice art uh nice templating on the tiles as well as on the board uh this new version comes with the Doomsday Army which was a promo Army uh that came out a few years ago at Essen uh it also comes for a solo play it comes with 55 puzzle cards that you can try to solve and therefore play by yourself uh looks like uh the two armies here are fighting each other it's a tile game where you place it on the board uh and the tiles are either units and they have range attacks and melee attacks you also have a headquarters basically you're trying to get your headquarters to survive if you get your opponent's headquarters down below to Zero from 20 you win the game um battles occur when a battle tile is played and then you go from initiative you'll see white on black numbers those are the initiative on the tile so for example that green one over there with three that would fight first and it would do a range attack and hit the headquarters for a point um actually the uh well okay he moved it but uh originally it was attached to a module which increased the initiative of that tile so it would have been a four uh so here they're just doing this a learning game so they're just uh and the U the publisher ignasi over here the PO polish publisher is teaching the game I believe he's doing the ignosi challenge are you doing the OSI challenge now just all right so it was just an
introduction demo game very good but uh yeah very very cool game in two-player game takes in about a half hour or so to play everybody has a 35 uh uh tile Army uh that they play and um you can play up to four players all right and here we have a game of pandemic in progress uh this is the the uh the new version of pandemic the graphically enhanced uh and component enhanced version uh but they're also playing with the new expansion in the lab which we see over here uh in the lab uh makes curing uh diseases uh a little more different uh what you're doing is when you treat diseases you take the cubes off the board and you start putting them in the lab and you're putting them in the dishes actually with using on the brink you're going to put the petri dishes right here in the circles so you're going to put things in the separator or in the uh going to to the centrifuge when you put things from in the dish here and going to the separator you basically take uh all uh one of each color that's in the dish and you move it forward if you want to go to the centrifuge it takes one color but all of that color and moves it to that dish there from these two dishes here you can move them to the growth dish doubling the cubes that you put in there or you can move them immediately onto a sequence card now you'll see sequence cards here you'll see vials the again comes with colored vials here the that determines what colors they're trying to cure so for example this one is going to be a red cure and this one's going for a blue cure and what you need to do is to get the vials on the board you have to
put a card of a color and then say that's what we're going for so notice the uh it's uh uh you put a red card here and you're and you're putting it uh you're putting the vial here to show that this going to be a red cure so you're still going to be discarding five cards but you're going to do it in a different way one is to characterize that was the word I was looking for to characterize the disease and then later you're going to have to throw another red card to test the disease so soon as you start putting cubes on here you can put another red card here to test the disease so when you put that red card there you'll be able to take one Red Cube off the main board from anywhere on the board and then later if they want to cure it they have to finish the thing here so here they have to add blue and black when that is sequenced and those two cars are there anybody at a research station can discard three cards and that's how you cure disease now so it's still five cards but it's done in a slightly different way uh this game in the lab also includes team versions uh Team rules uh solo version where you play with the CDC helping you out new events new roles and so on and so forth all right this is Tera mystica looks like they're just starting a game here uh you are playing one of 14 races uh and uh in this game you sort of have to help each other by building close to each other because you can feed off each other's nearness by uh by getting discounts uh and also triggering some ability so you do you don't want to isolate yourself in this
game uh you do want to build next to your to the other players uh in this game though basic you'll notice the color cards like there's the blue green and that uh there's two there's two races uh on each card if you flip the card over that represents another race uh what you want to do is every race wants a particular land form so in this game you're terraforming uh so for example the brown here wants the swamp lands so there are some swamp on the board right now but obviously not the whole board is swamped so what they have to do in the uh on their turns are is turn some of the other landscape tiles into a swamp so that they can start building their buildings and you do that by uh uh invest in getting shovels basically doing in a dig action where you can start terraforming and putting a tile on the board to match what you want uh each player also have cities uh they have temples they have a shrine they have a stronghold and everyone has a special ability based on the shrines and temples um that uh strongholds that they build uh also there there like a little magic kind of things we have the purple Power tokens there uh there's three dishes you can expend the ones in Dish three to pay for certain things and on the board you'll see uh White on purple numbers and that can tell you the things you can spend your power on and there's other things you can spend your power power on but again you can only expend uh those in Dish three so there's a lot of uh management of getting the power tokens from dish one to Dish two to Dish three you can also remove some power tokens from the game uh to facilitate
that movement uh also on the player board you'll see the terraforming so you'll see what they want on top of the of the rondelle like thing and you can see how many shovels you need based on the terrain type uh to get there so for example uh he wants desert sorry for my hand there if he's on a forest he's going to have to expend one two three shovels to get to his terrain type so if he's on a forest he spends three shovel actions and therefore he can get to a desert and then start building there um the game ends after I believe about six uh six rounds and whoever has the most uh points wins uh in the game there's there's also uh every turn there's achievement tiles that you can reach and you can score points there like if you build for every settlement you build for every city you build uh maybe for every uh you know if you build a stronghold this turn you'll get a bonus point if you uh whoever has the most on the cultist track might score so you have you have to pay attention to that as part of your turn so even though that may not have been your strategy earlier you'd want to do it just to score points during the turn so there's d uh in-game scoring and then there's endgame scoring there's also uh some action tiles you'll see in between the blue and green player you'll see some uh uh rectangular tiles there those are actions that everybody picks uh you have in front of you and you can choose to do those and they do many many different things um and there's also some uh achievement stuff you can uh expend things and buy tiles I don't see them oh they're right over
here actually these are also things that you can do and these these give you uh permanent abilities or they can raise you uh you know on the cult tracks uh immediately when you purchase them uh or they can do various things you'll get like say if you build a city here and so you get three victory that kind of thing so you have a bunch over here that you can get as scoring as well this is a this is a gamer game this this game will take you about two hours or so to play
