Quotes (from this video)
- For me to get rid of a game out of my collection I've got to dislike it pretty hard
- I don't want to be punching down on people
- this is the game that I think helped me understand that I don't really like real-time games all that much
- I don't like games where people can't be policed
- the immensely inexplicably popular and almost universally reviled flux
- life is random ah they have a little bit of random your game is fine flux is way beyond beyond anything that I can handle
- It's a drinking game is really what hex hex is and I don't drink that
- I would much rather have you know one designer two designers work on one game with components that are made specific before that game that they want me to play than just sort of this grab bag of game components and ideas and concepts
- Cyril helped me figure out that I don't really like tile placement games
- they managed to take sherlocky subject matter and build the really schlocky game out of it that feels like a zombie movie but it feels sort of slapdash

Quotes (from this video)
- Masterpiece was kind of this bluffing art bidding game that was one of my favorites.
- Risk was one that we we played a lot with the new Meyer side of the family.
- This is the only hobby where you can walk into a game store, play a game with people, and then a stranger will invite you to their house next weekend.
- I would say it was Gen Con 2013 that convinced me this is a real hobby.
- it's a social hub this is why we do this these things because we like to talk to people.

Quotes (from this video)
- 5 Things i Love About Board games.
- It's the reason why i don't play games like Dominion as much as i might, because i just don't like the card shuffling.
- i like that kind of thing! i recently played a game called Caravan which has, as part of the game, thief tokens, and you can use those tokens to steal goods from other people's camels, and two of the players - it was a four player game - two of the players got really mad that i was use - i DARED to use these thief tokens that are part of the game because thieving is not nice!
- pay attentio, board game publishers - when i turn a box over and i see die-cut bits that fit together, i think "i need to get that game!"
- i find that board games - playing board games - is one pastime that exercises my brain in a delightful way that feels really good.
- The #1 Thing That i Love About Board Games... is when they light up my brain like a Christmas tree!

Quotes (from this video)
- hi Rodney Smith here from watch it played
- I'm still in Gen Con recovery mode doing some fun family vacation things but I want to give you guys a quick update here about the fundraiser and thank you for helping us reach our first $5,000 goal in the fundraiser incredibly overwhelming thank you so much for your support support that really means a lot
- I also though want to give you a little additional perk level at $7,000 I thought what I'd do is I still have some of these Harvey Walters figures remember that Harvey Walters is certainly a key character in in a couple of our different games and we were giving these uh at a certain perk level in the last fundraiser but the last I think I have four of them left I like to just give them away so if you've already donated to this fundraiser then you're already in the draw you don't have to worry about contacting me but listen if you're not able to donate I don't want you to feel penalized all you have to do is send me an email at watchitplayed live.com and just put in the subject heading Harvey Walter's contest you'll be added into the draw as well
- now I know the map isn't updated yet guys I've just it's been really crazy busy here but the next time you see me which will be uh the start of our puzzle strike playthrough which I'm really excited about getting started on the map behind me will be updated I'll even try to make a point of doing a nice close-up shot of the map maybe at the beginning or at the end of of each episode so you can see the pins as they spread across the map
- let me say Gen Con which was my first gaming convention ever was an absolute blast I had such a great time I got to play a bunch of games I got to meet a bunch of Publishers people that I've worked with on the series like the guys that PL Hat games I got to talk to some new people that I hadn't talked about before I think we've secured a couple of really exciting games that we'll be able to talk about in the coming months
- he runs a video series as well at a really nice time we get to sit down and actually combine forces so we shot a little video together he does reviews of course we do playthroughs and so we smashed that together uh to do a video series on smashup a game from AEG so we're going to be working on editing that and hopefully having that up for you soon
- my primary focus is going to be getting back into the actual gameplay episodes with puzzle strike we're also going to be working on the mice and Mystics instructional video for plat Hat games so you might see that released around the same time as we're working on the puzzle strike video as well
- eminent domain is a card drafting deck building game this is a game that's ranked very highly on Board Game Geek and I've just never had a chance to play it so I'm very interested in being able to give it a shot in short over the course of the game you are executing orders to add cards to your deck enabling you to specialize in the way that you grow and expand your Colony so I'm really looking forward to giving this game a try I've heard a lot of good things about it
- Village is a worker placement game which was getting a lot of Buzz and something I wanted to pick up but I was having trouble tracking down a copy of it so it was a real treat to have Kevin rodkey contact me after he'd already sent a donation to our series and let me know that he had an extra copy of both Village and eminent domain and was interested in donating them to our Series
- thanks again for watching everyone truly appreciate when people take the time to contribute to our series and send us games or just send us your positive feedback on the series we had lots of that lately it's so incredibly kind we love that we're able to share our passion for the gaming hobby with you and that you guys want to do the same thing back to us
