And then I'm going to paint the uh base of the cosmic ghost rider. Here I've got three of them to do the edge. And that's a multi-step thing. I do standard. I think it's cold black from Monument. Let's see here. Now I hear no music. Is that because probably. Yep. How bizarre.

7:03 Anyway, so I use Monument Hobbies coal black. Let me double check. I should have it. Here's the old one that I have. It's still fluid. It's funny. It's probably not that long ago that they switched to making stuff in a uh Australia. Um Arizona. They were making it in uh Canada, I think in BC. But um because Scott bought some in 2021, I think I mean that's five years ago, but come on. There's paint. Bunch came out.

7:48 Is that the end of that paint? Wow. Let's find out. But yeah, we filmed this week and we worked on the studio. Studio has just too many games. We have been trying to really curb that stuff. We have far more than we're going to do all the time. And uh it's a little frustrating because we don't we don't want to not cover stuff, but we just can't do everything. There's too many too many games.

I don't know. Anyway, let's do this. So, I have to use I need to use one that I couldn't find the other day, and that's why they didn't get painted is I have this one dowel. I mean, from ages ago, probably at least 25 years ago. um that I made. You know, I just cut a piece of dowel and I don't think I finished it. It's just my hands. So, let me put a little water on the pallet.

9:35 I tried to get the wet palette a little bit more um wet today because the u paint was drying a little bit too quickly. Now, it's been warm, so it's not shocking that it's um Good gosh, I have a lot of these. How many do I have? I have a lot out. There's a two and there's a two. We'll use a two.

10:09 So, it says 7:30 or 10:30 on the um YouTube. That's because I didn't change it over. I thought I did, but I guess I only did it on uh Twitch. So, the way it is is you do this black and I don't start on the front.

10:52 And I let it dry completely. And then I don't know if this was uh Tabletop Minions, Adam, Uncle Adam, he um showed me actually I think it was on a stream. He did uh for BGG Conline, which was our virtual con during 2020. We did several. We did one for spiel not spiel the shores the spiel which was um we ran I think we ran 24 hours we did um multiple international streams plus our stuff and we ran I mean it's Nikki and I running the um game changing in in the studio because we had the setup to do it. And um so we would do that I think we actually had we did schedule a break in there and boy we needed it.

12:02 And then um after we were done for the day, we had to set up as much as we could fit in before we started the next day. So basically, we stayed up to just do it. Now, it wasn't terribly terribly late, but it was still way hard. But um

12:36 not even sure I was telling you about that. But uh it was it was fun, but it was work. But we also I mean I think we sent most of those games to the BG library. But we still get a good amount. We're not really I mean it's good to get stuff because we don't see everything and so we have no idea on some of the releases.

13:19 But I was thinking about it when we were digging through stuff here. That that was we probably had the most spiel games from 2020 because the publishers sent them to us.

13:45 And I think the next year was not super it wasn't empty, I'm sure. But many publishers did not, you know, it was just they sent folks to uh demo the games and stuff.

14:09 But yeah, we didn't go. I actually thought about it and I had gone to Gen Con which was delayed. I think it went into September and I went to that and after that I was like uh I think I've risked it too much.

14:33 Anyway, so then I'll do an I was That's what I was talking about was Adam showed his method for doing the dark the black edges on his u minis. And what it was is he would use the black and I don't remember which one it was at the time, but he did use uh black templar contrast paint as like a finish. And I really like how that looks. Oh, it's a little warm in here.

15:32 This week we put out Drillers, which is when we filmed uh just before Kristoff left in the middle of August, and it was great. It's a really fun game. I would like to play it some more.

16:21 Yeah, Adam live streamed. I think we sent him Marvel United. We sent him some Marvel uh like a Marvel United box, the main box. And he painted I know he painted um Hulk, but I don't know what the other one he painted was. I'm pretty sure he painted two. It was cool. He was like, "Okay, I'll do that stuff." And I was specifically picking some board game stuff that was newish. I had painted the main box. Is that right? in 2020. I feel like I didn't paint it till the next year. So, I must have painted it after he did that. So, you have to let it dry completely, which it does dry pretty quickly. It's humid here, so it's a little slower than normal.

17:15 So, I worked on her and I did some, you know, OSL kind of airbrushing, which is okay. To probably make this a little more it pop a little more, I need to probably do some white highlights on the cylinders here and stuff, but it's not important. I really I like this one, but I'm not super excited about painting the metallics. Um, even though I really do like them, but these kind of could use non-metallic metal. And I'm just not that great with these little tiny filigree kind of things.

So, the audio, the music, we used to run it through the V-Mix software that we use. That is our streaming software. There's lots of stuff um that people use that are pretty great because you can just capture stuff from your desktop. And um

19:15 ours is not that way. It actually it can probably but it captures from uh inputs. So we have physical inputs that we run cameras into. And we also have we can do virtual inputs that are um from like a phone. Um so live streaming I think I've done it once in a uh live stream that we did. I showed some of the game library because people want to see like it's crowded but we were the biggest issue is we've been just putting stuff tucking it away and not dealing with it and it makes it difficult to get around and so we specifically are pulling.

20:11 It was funny because Scott wanted us to do a video, you know, because people like the calling videos. I'm like, we don't have anything to say. We're just pulling kind of almost arbitrarily. Not really, but got just back from Moab. Awesome. Did you go biking?

Now, I don't pull anything off of sprus or anything like this one. You know, they don't do it. I'm not sure that I like the little bit I did there. I sometimes go up on the edge, but this is not really what it is. So, I'm now making a giant mess here with the paint, but I think I'm going to cover that back up with some gray.

I don't like that. I'm frustrated that there's um not the coverage protection of those that there used to be. And it seems like it's getting worse because it shouldn't be exploited. I mean, I saw some footage of a excavation. I don't know if it was mining or what, but really frustrating. There's no need to go in there

He's like I don't know exactly what's happening with like his parents' property. But he um he does have a a party that he's putting together for his what would you call it? So I noticed people posting that DC it's not DC it's deceased Marvel I mean zombie game so it's zombide they are it's already out like four boxes of something you know the main box probably you know obviously none of the stretch goals or anything like that but people are frustrated like It's going to it probably needs to happen. There were I there's an article earlier this week saying that they're looking for 17 million funding and I can't even believe that's enough but you know I put 500 in for the DC Superheroes United. Hopefully it'll come but I more and more feel it it will not happen.

27:10 And I did not back deceased. And I should have probably, but I didn't do Marvel Zombies. Um Scott was trying to get me to do it. You know, he's like, "Well, you know, big content, like not that much money because I think it was over $600 to go all in." And I'm not always that crazy about that, but you know, I'm regretting not doing some other I did not do um Zombies Zombie Side Dead Man Tales, you know, the one that we live stream and I should have. I I knew I liked it, but you know how it is. Can't do it all.

No. Um, I was talking to Nick Murphy and he put like backed a few things, but it's still it's got to be $150, $200 for him. And I, you know, Brian and I are both in for about 500. Are they hoping that it'll I don't know that they'll be able to just do United I mean, they definitely did not do one that they contracted. So, it wasn't um it wasn't any more Marvel or DC. Now, they might have had something else planned for DC, but since it hasn't delivered, I think it was to deliver last year.

I saw something last week or something that said it was the most humid here in Southern California. It's more humid here in Southern California than it is in the rest of the United States, which I really find hard to believe, I believe, because I used to go to visit relatives in the Midwest. And now that was August, I think, when I or maybe June and July, too. I don't know. It was humid, way more than I'm comfortable with here. Okay, let's see.

33:13 Oh, I was going to see if there's others that need to have the rims painted that I might have overlooked. I don't think so, though. I've been pretty good. But I have one more. I thought that um Iron Heart was the last of the Marvel United Multiverse main box, but it's not. There's much more. Well, no, there's one more, but of course there's much much much more of the rest. I don't see anything. I did airbrush today, so I worked on Spider-Man 2099 because he'll be the last one of that box.

34:00 Um, it's pretty interesting. I'm not sure that, you know, a lot of these minis, too many. Uh, the amount of Spider-Man, it's crazy. Oh, this is the another brush. It was good to see Dave. We had seen him a few weeks, a month or so ago. Three had to have been three weeks, I think. But we just, it was also just a day. Um, he's busy when he's in town, but we hope to hang out with him a little more.

34:52 I'll be in Anaheim in two weeks. What's Hey, board game. James, what are you doing in Anaheim? Sir, is it Disneyland? Who are we talking with? Oh, Mike. He was saying that maybe we should go to Disneyland, get the So, they have SoCal passes that they sell for a short amount of time. And that's what we did two years ago. No, a year and a half ago and it was cool. We are not I mean obviously we are kind of into the Disney stuff but not that crazy. Oh, Nikki was talking to a friend about the Disney cruises because of the Haunted Mansion room, but I can't imagine doing that. We know we do the BG cruises and that's board games which is fun. I don't know what I would do on those cruises. I'm not that into the Disney shows. I mean, I don't mind animated stuff, but I'm not sure about the Broadway style production.

36:04 I'm sure they're fine, but did we go see any I We've seen The Lion King. I feel like we did that with Nikki's parents. Maybe they had tickets and they couldn't go or they had gone already. But I think that's what it was. And it was fine. It's just Disney and OogieOogie Bash. Nice. Nice birthday. Well, we have fun at Disneyland. Not as much fun. There's some great stuff at California Adventure, but I think it if I were to do something like a Disneyland with somebody else, I would do two days and do just one day no park hopper in Disneyland and then the next day park hopper for the two parks and then go to um a little bit of Disneyland California Adventure.

37:14 So, this is a promo I think that we got two years ago for Marvel. Not Marvel. Wow, that's on my brain. This is for Seven Wonders Architects, I believe. And I want to paint it. I think Nikki would like it. We don't even have the game anymore. And I would like that game, but we just used a library copy and it needed to go back. Sometimes we get to keep them if we want them because, you know, we'll have a bunch for a convention. Is DCA Halloween event nice? What do they have that would is it just characters?

38:04 It's just the park is a bummer. Uh I did enjoy. So the when we went in 2019, Rusty told me he that he had injured his uh tailbone on Guardians of the Galaxy uh whatever escape. And so of course I'm paranoid and I injure my tailbone. Um, so now you know I took me a long time to calm for it to calm down and heal, but uh now I ride that ride with my jacket under my rear. And they also tell you like to sit haunted mansion gets transfer. Yeah, we love the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland when it's the what is it? Haunted Halloween nights or it's fantastic.

38:59 Um, it's what we used to do. Um, every year we would go with our friends, our brother and sister friends. They were they moved out of California. Not California, excuse me, Southern California, but Mike passed away um, six years ago. Real bummer. Uh, and they both actually ended up getting married. It was um it was nice that Mike got married, but it didn't he didn't last, you know, couple years. It was during the pandemic. Real bummer. I'd known him for 30 years.

I definitely don't love going at Christmas time or around Christmas time and we went in 2019. I think it was the first year that we used the I mean it'd been quite a few years since we'd been and we use the app. Our friend Jennifer was, you know, she was annual pass like a round the world one and so she went to I think she went to Shanghai, probably went to Japan.

And I would like to I so I did not go in 2018 to Disney Tokyo took me to Disney and Disney C seas or whatever. Uh I would like to go on those uh haunted holiday. It's the Haunted Mansion turnover. Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah. Haunted Holiday. Yep. Um, the good thing about the haunted holiday was it cleaned the ride. They shut it down and so it needed help there for a while there. So once they started doing that and it's been a long time that they were doing it, it was really great for the ride.

41:37 So now it gets cleaned up more regularly. I mean, it is a haunted mansion. doesn't necessarily need to be cleaned, but it was looking ragged. We have some friends that Dave has a lot of friends that work at Disneyland. Um, but uh that thing between the cat's legs doesn't look great. I don't know that I can clean it, though. So yeah, we went in 2019 and so we went to the specifically I wanted to go to um Galaxy's Edge and it was great but um the uh it's not Smugglers Run uh Rise of the Resistance um had opened yet. It opened I think soft opened a month later and we thought about going thought about it then thought about it when it was still kind of open at the beginning of the pan pandemic and um didn't and then I heard there were some issues with the part of the ride and I guess it was down for four years.

43:08 And when I heard last year at the beginning of the year, that it had been fixed that Disney Imagineers resolve the problem, I'm like, "Okay, we got to go now." And we It was the this part where these cannons are shooting at, you know, gun uh laser cannons shooting out of the side of the ship. Pretty awesome. And um the guns were moving when we went to Florida for the Disney. It was not working. So you know that I'm not sure what we hear that there's like all kinds of it's not like a peaceful harmony at Disneyland. Like the app is not the same that you can't use the same app which just doesn't make any sense.

44:15 Yeah, that's what I've heard. Smugglers and I would like to see it. They're giving us a separate ticket event, but these AP people cannot attend. Okay. Yeah, I heard Smugglers Runners added stuff. It needs it. It was fine. But I will tell you the part that frustrates me the most is we end up getting in the same position. Like we're always in the back pushing buttons and not looking forward. Uh, one time somehow we got in there and up front, but we had a choice and Nikki insisted I go up front and I was like, "Well, I I'd rather you go." Um, but I did it and it was fun, but it was still challenging. So, you know, there is I've heard from Brian who went um can't remember what ride his wife and daughter were going on because he Oh, probably Space Mountain.

45:17 he can't really write it. And um so he went on Smuggler's Run and he was by himself and they're waiting for more. And then the person, you know, the uh cast member, it's like, "Oh, you want to do this by yourself? You're going to love it." And so he went on Smuggler's Run by himself. And so he's a pilot and it doesn't um mess up. He does it basically perfectly and there's another layer. So something else happens and I'm not sure what they're doing with the new stuff. But I think you fought TIE fighters which is awesome and I would love to see it but you know I'm not going to yell at the other families like come on get it together.

46:14 But, uh, I tried very hard to make sure at least my side was fine. But I had a little kid next to me. And it's the thing, I'd just rather the little kid have fun. But, and I'm sure he did. But me, the grump, who wanted to see it all, need to tip him. Hey, we want to go by ourselves. If you do it at the end of the day, I bet you could do it. I mean, we walked on uh several times on to one time really walked on uh to Rise of the Resistance. So, when we first went last year in February, um I talked to Brian because, you know, they had had annual passes and he's he's like I said, you know, we're thinking of going because we'd like to get on the but what while it's still working, right? And Um, and it was going to rain and they're like, "Oh, you got to go. It's going to be the best day." Now, it was still crowded, but it wasn't terrible.

47:22 And so, we went directly. You know, the thing is is you could pay for this single ride one time, um, what they call Lightning Lane for the ride. And it's like 25 or $30, but to ride one ride. And they do the same thing in California Adventure with the um um Radiator Springs Racers, which is great. You definitely want to ride that one at night. But um and that would probably be the case where you would want to I can't remember if we we might have done it. Um we went to in the morning. So basically we were like, I'm not going to pay the 20some dollars. It's just not worth it. Um and so we went directly to that. We went to smugglers. Oh, no, not smilers. Um Rise of Resistance and it was amazing.

48:11 It was a 50-minute wait. And you know, you can see the wait times on the app. And so couple times, one time I think we had just gone on Tiana's Bio Adventure, which is a log flume. And we got Nikki got really drenched and I got pretty drenched. Um, you know, and it's cold. It's not that cold, but it's cold. And, um, so she after we were done, I think Nikki had to go to the bathroom. And I see the app. It's around dinner time and the ride is like 20 minute wait. And I'm like, well, so you know, I can't force her to get out of the bathroom.

48:56 And so she flight comes out. I'm like, "Let's go." And so my goal was, this is after I had hurt my heel. Uh so I was my first full day of not wearing any boot or and doing things. And so the goal was to not walk around the park, but we tked all the way around through Frontier Land and all that. Get into the thing. And we get there and it's a 50-minute wait. So, we're like, "Well, we're here. Let's do it again." Then we decide to go at the end of the night before we leave. We'll go. We'll ride this one more time and then we'll go. This is the third time we get there. It's empty. We walk all the way through the queue, all the way. No stops. Get right to the orientation thing and starts up. We get on the ride. We go out and Nikki's like, "Do you want to do it again?" I'm like, "Uh, okay." So, we go in. It was like a 10-minute wait, which wasn't bad. I mean, come on. And then that was it. But we decided, why don't we go this other way to see what's over there since we got time. We go through and it's directly to the restrooms by Tiana. Like, it's a 10-minute walk, five minute walk.

50:21 And so I'm like, "Okay, now we know I don't have to walk all the way around. There's not there's more than one exit," which makes sense. It's actually like three exits out of uh Galaxy's Edge, but it was hilarious. I'm like, "Why didn't we go just to see?" But there's no signs. So that's the thing about Cal um Galaxy's Edge. They make it so it's like you have to find it. And I think it's hurting the the area. Um, we took Kristoff last year. So, we went and did two in the park in that park and one in California Venture and uh and he wanted to go. I'm like, okay. So, it's warm June and um so our fourth Disney park in the middle of the year and we drag him through. We didn't pay for the extra. I mean, it was already pretty expensive for him and us. And so we did the whole thing the way we did it before. And he's like, "Oh, this is amazing. You guys were right. We You did it right." Um, so that was our fourth Disney park thing. And then we did a thing where we had to go to when we Santael came out.

51:43 We didn't have to, but they asked us to do it. And I didn't really want to go in December. It was the 9th or something that we went and did that. But Nikki had never been to any of those parks, so we went to all of them. We went, not the water parks, but we did Epic uh Universe, which was great. Nikki loved that was separate from the rest of Universal Studios. And then we did the other two parks, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, um, with Park Hoppers, and you have to do that if you want to do the Hogwarts Express, which is great. And so we did all that. And um, then we did three days at Disneyland or Disney World. We did I think we started with Disney World.

52:44 Just did that. It was also open later. Then we did uh Hollywood Studios or whatever it's called. And I had done that many years ago. Nikki had never done any of them. And so we did the Rise of Resistance and the Galaxy's Edge. I mean, and the um Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run and all of the stuff because you know, Star Tours is in a in a Hollywood as well, but it's kind of cooler than the California one. And it was great. Really fun. And then we also did Epcot that evening because I think that park closed kind of early.

53:33 And then we did Animal Kingdom and did Epcot again in the evening dinner and ride some stuff. So we did Park Hoppers. I feel like we did them all three days though, but I don't feel like we did anything else on the first day. And they kind of have it that you can go get around and do stuff. Um, and the food was fun at the uh Epcot and it was pretty at night and the Guardians of Galaxy ride there was pretty good. But the Ratatouille was the really cool ride.

It must have been Friday, but uh or maybe after SNL. And you know, I didn't see much of that. there was somebody on that my brother and I like our parents had listed. But uh once we they were on NBC, I watched all the time and I remember vividly some of the episodes from you know 82 or something.

55:44 Um but they're all on Netflix basically. I mean, there's definitely some edited episodes because a couple of them are 17 minutes long and there's no way it was 17 minutes long. Um, I mean, if it's some, you know, there's some crazy weird goofy stuff and it's still in there, so I'm not really certain what they would be pulling. Um, but they changed the music. I guess they just didn't have the rights. And I the guy that the music is Ira Newborn. He did the um

I do have the DVDs of that stuff when it was came out 15 years ago or something like that. And they have the the music which is strange.

It's crazy too because Rhino was like the comedy records and then they then they were the monkeys and they still are the monkeys. um you know like all the monkey stuff, the TV show, the records and then now they do the classic stuff. So I think most of the Fleetwood Mac and many artists the catalog comes out on Rhino which is very strange.

This is the echo in my ears that are kind of driving me crazy. Um and it was really kind of a fun nightlight and it stopped working. Maybe he's like, "Hey, I haven't noticed it's been turning on." So, the deal is is it can't rotate. The bird hangs out off the thing, but you can't rotate it. Uh I mean, I did rotate it because it wouldn't have worked at all.

59:31 It's in our guest bathroom. And uh so I took it apart and fixed it. put in a new LED, but it doesn't shut off. It's something's wrong with the sensor. So, I don't know what I could have done. I didn't I don't think I disconnected that, but I had to solder the new LED in. It was fun. It's working. And it's a little brighter LED, I think. So, there's one I had floating around. I don't know if it's I don't know what it is. I don't think it was a flashlight. Not certain. Okay, so these are dry and you could see it's a little spotty. I mean, it's smooth enough, but once you put the Black Templar, I wonder if Scott had any extra of that. I hope so.

You know, the Mandalorian and Grou show up. I think that's all great. We have not seen them all. We've ridden it a few times. It's usually not busy. It's basically kind of like uh when I was young the uh what is it called?

Um, we have Yoda's Force fix lightsaber, which are the original sabers like they have at Disneyland. Um, and they I think Hasbro bought it out. It was uh the company's still around. I thought they bought the company, but I saw Master Replicas had the stuff. What happened was 23 years ago, my brother and I and Nikki were at a Christmas party of a friends and these guys came in dressed as Jedi and they had the Force Effects lightsaber. So I'm like, "What are these?" And uh asked them about it. And then the next day I ordered like um mace windows.

1:03:57 We had five of them and our house got broken into and those were stolen. That was basically all that was stolen. Um and like a DVD box set of uh maybe Blu-ray of James Bond. It's like nice. And so I contacted our insurance and they the lady was amazed. I said, you know, it's a bummer these are gone. They were we had used them at our wedding. Not you not like a crazy Jedi wedding. It was just that afterwards it was dark and my grade school, not grade school, junior and high school friend came for the wedding. You know, we were not making a big deal out of it. He's like, I'm going to come. So, uh because we I had gone to his I was his best man, one of his best men because um I could not go into the uh temple for the wedding. So his cousin was the uh other best man. Anyway, so we were playing with the lightsabers and it was just like a very fond memory and uh so the lady that was our adjuster or whatever, she was great. Did all the research, you know, at the time they would do a one of the lightsabers.

Um, and so she got the the correct prices to replace them and so I was able to replace them all except I had to get Luke's. I can't remember. Something about Luke's was not right. Like it was a different version, I think. So, there were two versions of that lightsaber. And I think I had the one that was electroluminescent tape, not a not a LED.

So the electroluminescent tape was kind of like clinging to the um when it was off you could see it. So I was a little bummed to not get that just because that was different. And so we did the ones in the workshop and I kind of did the I did the one Scott would love which was the the evil one, but I did do a purple blade. I think you can do whatever though because they I ended up getting the kyber crystals to change the colors.

I wanted to do it in the dark. I did not want to assemble the stuff and then come out and try your sabers in the daylight. And I also didn't want to carry them all day. Kristoff was very happy I went that route. But it turns out we were the last of the day. And they didn't explain to us what we were supposed to do. Like you you're supposed to go pick what you want before you go in. And I thought we would just be picking in a box. I didn't do any research because I didn't want to know. And you have to pick the style you want. And Kristoff picked one and I picked another. And you go in. I think you get to pick the color inside.

1:08:27 But I was going to just buy the other components and you can stick them on and switch your saber out. And they it was closed. But we they're like, "Oh, you need to go go talk to these people. This is as we're getting ready to go in. So, we go over and they pick them out. We pick them out and they give us the I think they give us a pin or something that tells them which one you're doing. So, they do this, you know, Jedi thing that's goofy. But the bulk of the lightsabers were red. Everybody picked red. We were the like the two only purple. It was funny. Oh, I didn't do this one.

And they I think they give you the little shoulder bag. I don't know that they all because I I think Brian was telling me they did not give it to them. Maybe they were out at the time. Um I would not want to carry the lightsaber without that. It was bad enough to carry it. I can't remember.

And this cost at least $5 or $6 and this was like $10. So if you're putting together a lot of minis, which I'm not, but come on. I went to the hobby store. I always got to buy something. So I bought that and these sanding sheets, sponge sheets.

I have not put any varnish on these yet, but yeah, these look good, too. These turned out really good. I'm not blown away by the shoulder pads, but it does. Once again, I miss them. Can you see it? A little bit of gray there. That was fire giant orange.

Oops. They are pretty nice. I end up mostly using my Badger or um harder and steam bag, but I watched a video from um Squidmar and they are it's literally just promoting their airbrushes. They're like, "Oh, you could we talk about other ones, too." But they don't. And I was kind of annoyed.

But, uh, it was fun and it's a good airbrush, but a little frustrating, expensive, although it's not that bad. So, Gallery has a new airbrush called the Aventus, and they did the first one and there was some bad problems. People were really frustrated and so they've redone it.

So he was completely saying the same thing is getting the parts if you buy harder and steambeck or badger. He didn't even he claimed he mentioned Badger, but he didn't mention when he was talking about accuracy. I gotta tell you, I I have a um Infinity and I have the um um Badger Sotar 2020. I like the Badger Sotar 2020 better. It's more the respon trigger response is better.

I had to track it down the rubber gasket because it would be worthless without it.
