Hey everybody, it's Joey Evans. I'm finally back for another 3D printed upgrades video. I'm going to show you a lot of things I printed and some things that you printed as well. Okay, so several things I want to show you in this video that I've printed, but also some things you printed. Before I get into that, there've been a lot of comments. I probably I mentioned this in the first video, but I'll try to mention each time for people that just jump in here. I do use a Bambu P1S as far as my setup. I'll show you a picture of my setup later. I do dry my filament occasionally. Everything here is printed in PLA. If I and if I don't mention something else, it's printed in PLA and with a 0.4 nozzle. I use a 0.2 occasionally, which I used for earrings for my wife, which I showed last video.

So, if you want to see how those turned out. And the 0.2 nozzle is very interesting in the fact that I'm thinking about starting to print some board game resources using the 0.2 nozzle and kind of compare to see if it's worth it printing those smaller resources, things like I don't know, little components, like little bits of meat or brick or whatever you need for certain games, if it matters, if it's worth that upgrade in in time to print those with a 0.2 nozzle as opposed to 0.4 because that can substantially add time. But, there is a quality difference. Is it worth it, especially when you talk about those smaller resources? So, I will look at that. Maybe we can address in the future. If you want to see some of that, let me know. Comment below and I'll take a look at that. Um also, anything else I wanted to um No, that's pretty much it. So, if you have any other questions, let me know.

Let's talk first about non-board game stuff I've been printing because again, I like printing random stuff. Last time I showed earrings. And this time because a lot of you have been giving me stuff at the conventions, these clickers. You know, they have little meeple clickers and die clickers. I went down the clicker rabbit hole and I printed so many of those clickers. All right, so now let's go on to board games. First off, I asked last time for you to send any prints that you love that and you printed your own pictures and things because I know I print things to board games I like that are in my personal collection but that means I won't hit a lot of games that number one I like but they're in the Dice Tower library or or I don't just own. So, you send in some. Let's take a look at some of those real quick. First off, um I think Umit, I think is is how you pronounce the name, printed a container insert. This is Listen, great insert, very functional. It's by Board Game Media. Board Game Media, I like a lot of the stuff they do. It's a gorgeous game and it so it definitely needs an insert. There will be another insert showing, too.

All right, then Everdell Duo is a game that I don't own but um again, Umit sent in this sent in this insert. This is a great insert. It's keeps everything there together. And here it is before and afterwards, you can see what a good insert does. And also, it's included the resource holders. They look incredible and replacement for that little sun and moon token. And again, these just really spice up the game. So, these are great. The links for these will also be below. I don't have the game but I wanted to include these. Then Ray sent this in for Triangulation. I particularly love when game these quick inserts like in between printing the larger inserts, I feel more accomplished when I print those quick inserts that go into small games. And this is one for Triangulation. It's a small game. The insert, it looks like an easy print. So, if you have this game, definitely add it. It does keep everything more organized. So, take a look at that if you have Triangulation.

Next, um from Salva Sythoff, I think. Salva designs inserts that focus kind of on being gorgeous. That and these really do. First off, containers. Again, we use this as a second container insert but this is a little bit different. This has everything looks like shipping containers. I mean, it's beautiful. It's really what you're looking for if you want if you care about the aesthetic as much, it's really what you're looking for. If it's a quick print and functional, that's the other one. Or if you want That's something that looks like this, that's definitely one. This is the newest design. It holds the base game and the expansion, which is great. Then also, speaking of looks, this is an insert that was done for Gugong and Panjun Panjun, I think I That's what I say. Anyway, this insert, it looks incredible. This focuses also on getting the game out easier. But the insert, again, when you open it, it just has that wow factor. I assume this does use an AMS. So, know that going in. But again, it's a gorgeous gorgeous look to it. So, if you have printed anything you're really particularly proud of and you think I should show off to people here, email them to me at joey@dicetower.com.

And also, give me any questions you have. Now, let's get started into what I printed. All right. So, first off, I love printing stuff for Settlers of Catan. I'm slowly upgrading my Settlers of Catan, and this is the first one. Suns got to shine, all right? So, I had to print a type of There's a type of sun out there that has an LED in there, but it needs wired and all that stuff. This one I love. This one just takes one of those little balloon lights, and it's a very simple print. It goes right there in the center. You set it there, put it the balloon light inside, sun on top. This looks gorgeous. And I just found out also about these little balloon lights you can get for fairly cheap on Amazon or wherever. Um the These balloon lights, I used to think you pull it out, and they just go for 9, 10, 12 hours, whatever, and they die. But you can put those tabs back in.

I've got something similar for Spooktacular I'm going to show you later, this insert I bought. But it's really nice to put those tabs back in, so those lights can kind of last you longer game sessions or multiple game sessions. So, again, this adds that little something extra. It fits in the box perfectly. This is definitely something to print for Settlers of Catan. Again, easy print, throw it right there in the middle, just adds that little oomph to Settlers of Catan, which Settlers of Catan is a great game. Okay, Lord of the Rings: Duel for Middle-Earth is one I printed an insert for, and the one thing is the coins are just blah, little cardboard coins. So, I found these weighted coins. And what that means is inside of these, you have to print them in two parts, and then you put a small washer in the middle, and you superglue them together. One quick note, since doing this I've superglued a lot of stuff, and I've started wearing latex gloves, because before superglue just gets annoying, so it's not terrible when it gets on your fingers, but it's really annoying. So, those latex gloves really help me, although I do not have the feeling I have when I don't have gloves on. So, some of these came up kind of mismatched, but that being said, I like these, and at first I was like, I don't think they look great. I could have used a bit shinier of a filament, because I used a silk, but it's not a really, really silk PLA. So, I think these would look may look better with the silk PLA, like one of those bright silks, but honestly, I keep them in there, and people love playing with them. The weight actually matters, which is crazy.

The weight matters on those, you throw them down, they just feel good. It does take a bit of time. I kind of wish there was you could print them with a pause, and then put the washers in there, and then go print on top. But again, it wouldn't it would have to have supports, things like this. There are no supports on these, so they print very easy, and it's just supergluing those little washers in there, and it really does add to the weight, and that they do feel good. So, honestly, I may even reprint these with a different silk, and see if it matters that much, because they do add that little extra oomph when you bring those out. People are like, "Ooh, those look nice." So, anyway, if you like Lord of the Rings: Duel for Middle-Earth, check out these weighted coins. Pretty cool. Okay, so Heat: pedal to the metal. This one I'm really looking at blinging out a lot and this is one I've already printed printed the finish line and starting starting line and things like that. I've also printed little I think those speed limit signs which I think was in a previous video. But this one there are many gear shifts out there. The way to shift gears and I've looked through a lot. There's a lot on Etsy you can buy that are really well done. That Library copy has some that are very nice.

But I think they're fairly expensive on Etsy, but they look really good. Um but they also don't they don't really fold up well and they do tend to break. There are several options out there. This is one I looked at. This is a small gear shift box. This uses the same kind of gear shifts that come in the game. And these are really good. They just go they clasp together and you can do the base different player colors if you want to, which I did for a couple. I think I might do the rest gray because there's so many player colors out there. It just gets less confusing especially the fact that there are more colors going to be than players a lot of times. So, but these clasp together and they don't come apart because that that pawn will kind of slide in there and move around and it just again feels good. It feels like you're shifting up or shifting down. Also, it has on there it has the icons of the cool down and the heat you have to add.

It looks great. They say on there that you can use a point two nozzle if you want that to look more I guess vibrant and crisp, but honestly I use a point four nozzle. I think they look great cuz again you can see those icons. You know whether to add or take or cool down whatever. It looks good. These right here I very highly recommend if you love heat. They just they're very quick print again. Clasp together and you do need an AMS for this, but I guess you could use a marker to kind of draw those in there which will be fine. But um the these do look really good. So if you like something to print for heat, this is something I strongly recommend. And again, I don't know about like the the colors in the bottom because they don't really see the bottom. So, I I don't know. Maybe. Whatever. That's up to you. Okay, so layers. Layers. Layer I've I've realized by people telling me that I say that word wrong. L A I R S. Layers.

Lars. Whatever. Anyway, I want to insert I love this game, but there's a lot in this, right? So, I want an insert that fits everything even the kind of expansions as you go through the game. So, this fits everything into that base box and it makes it easier to come out. What? Yep, that is true. It does it. So, I'm going to show you what is in that insert. Now, one thing is I will tell you if you're one of those people that is like, "Oh, there's spoilers." This shows everything in all those boxes that have come out. So, skip to the next time stamp if you don't want to see what's in there. For me, you don't really know what they are, what you're looking at. This mainly just shows the insert, but there are different things in there like extra CUBES AND STUFF. WHAT? THERE COULD BE more cubes? Anyway, so this is this is the insert of this.

The whole thing is this fits everything in the box. I don't know how this was designed, but it's flawless. I mean, getting it back in takes time. I recommend putting some pictures and possibly in a printout and keeping them in there. However, with this everyone gets their own player trays and everything with it, so you can kind of print those by color and I do recommend printing these things by color because then you can kind of hand out each person their different color of things they get. The one thing it does not do is it does not take sleeve cards. That may be a concern for you, but it's a small one. I haven't sleeved these, so I probably won't. Also, as you open these envelopes and the boxes, it gives you more rules sometimes on the backs or inside of these envelopes and boxes. The good thing is that all of these rules are mentioned in the rulebook. So, you can throw all those away.

But again, this keeps everything perfectly contained and it just fits together kind of like a puzzle. This is quickly become one of my favorite inserts. This is just feels good for a just incredible game. It fits everything you want in there. It's got it it fits the adventure pack, deeper dungeons, the Kickstarter extras, box zero if you did get ones that have box zero in there, six dry erase boards, and everything in there. That's huge. So, if you have layers, if you have everything for layers, I think layers Lars if you have everything for l a i r s then definitely check this out because it's incredible. Man, my Kentucky accent really just throws off that word layers. layers Whatever.

One of the quick thing I want to throw in here, too, is I covered the hex system in a previous video and that's like where the magnets go together and this is incredible. But it is time consuming to set up. And a lot of times you use those cupcake holders for tokens. This right here is a stackable token tray that honestly I printed a couple of these and they get a lot of play in my game room. Now I have a stack of about four or five of them and well, two stacks I guess, different sizes and they're sitting in the game room and these probably I go to quicker than the hex system because I guess they're easier if you play a quicker game just to grab and set up. These are great. Again, simple print. These do stack really well, do different colors if you want to, and the you put the tokens in there. These are really quick. So, if you looking at something like this, this is something I definitely recommend. Again, if you use those cupcake holders, those are great or there's a lot of different holders you have out there, but this is something to add your game room because they do stack and they look good. You do different colors, it looks nice.

I love the fact that I've got these shelves in my room and uh I've had my painted minis my wife paints minis and those are all sitting on there but what's really cool is sometimes now these components look good I might have those sitting up because otherwise if they're in like a box like you like one of those little calyx cubbies you forget about them but if they're sitting there on display as you play a game you kind of see them be like oh I'm going to grab these and pull them out so this is again something great so you're looking for little stackable token trays this is it okay I do like to mix kind of the the free all these up to an album free this one is paid but it's only like 10 bucks or something so if this is something you want again I don't mind paying for something if I think it's going to really help the game and this does this is a Shadows of Brimstone dashboard this first off it is probably one of the one of the more complicated things that I've printed it's a hundred percent worth it it manages everything from combat values to sanity to gold status XP even the discs and cards it manages it all now the one thing is putting these little dials in there was difficult at first I thought I was going to break it but he does kind of walk you through there's a certain I guess knack a kind of angle that you put it in there to make sure these things don't break and they work so well they even click as you turn through each one because they have like I don't know magic inside of it that that makes it to where they click as you go up and down you can play Shadows of Brimstone without it of course you can but

why now that I have this I need one for every player at the table this is one of the more complicated prints like I said but man it's worth it it just manages everything it looks just slick and then you've got the base that you could take off and again cards and your your side tokens and everything will go right in there it looks good there's all these also these things in this component tray that I don't really use every campaign or every mission, but they're there when I want to use them. This is great. This is a fantastic system. So, if you love Shadows of Brimstone like I do, this is definitely one to check out. It really ups that gaming experience. So, check out that Shadows of Brimstone dashboard. Okay, woo! That is it. So, um please comment below. I love hearing your guys comments. What do you think about the videos? What do you think about the fact that finally I'm back doing these videos? If there's anything you want to see, if there's something you're excited about that you have printed lately that you think I would love to hear about, people would love to hear about, start that conversation below because I love reading through all these comments because this is a great community thing.

There's so much stuff out there to print. And I think as a community we can find the best things to kind of push these games and our gaming to the front and make it the best possible and we get to use our toys. I mean, I just printed a poop clicker. Why? Why did I do that? Because I could. That's why I did. I like printing random stuff and useful stuff, but mainly random stuff. Anyway, make sure you comment below, but thank you guys and I'll see you guys again. It won't be that long before my next 3D printing video cuz I'm going to print a lot of stuff that now that I'm home. I'm so excited. All right, thanks guys. Bye.

Hey folks, thanks for joining us for that video. If you haven't yet, like the video, subscribe to the channel, and hey, make sure you check out what's happening where I'll cover an app on an iOS or a Switch device,

and you can check it out along with me. Thanks very much. You've been watching The Dice Tower.

First off, I got a croissant. Look at that. Croissant, cauldron, Tamagotchi, Saved by the Bell. I'm sure why I printed this. Going to give it to Tom. Kool-Aid Man. Stanley. Wait, wait, yeah, yeah, wait, wait. There we go. Reese's. French fries. Gameboy. Yes. Alien. Oreo. Look at that. This is like triple stuffed, too. Penguin. Bogus. There we go. A dumpling. Look how cute he is. He focused on his dumpling. Very important. Oh. Oh, wait. Are they cookies or is it sewing supplies? They're cookies.

And everyone's a clicker. Yeah. Okay. So, that's the random stuff I printed.
