and today we are doing our top 10 anticipated games for Spiel 2026. Spiel is right around the corner. We are excited. Will you be there? Yes. Will I be there? Yes.

hopefully to see you there. But today, top 10 anticipated spills. As always, two things, two caveats. Caveat number one, we haven't played any of these games because the games we have played, we're not putting on the anticipated list. So, some of these we might play and have a video about before spiel. Just want to film this before we played half of the games that we were most excited for to make it more interesting.
That also means if there's some games that are missing that just like are they not anticipating that?
Look, if we have already covered it, chances are likely that we might have done that. Yes, there's also more than these stand that I am excited about, but these are like the ones where there's
there is quite a few games I'm excited about, but there is like these are the toughest ones. That's not the topest ones. And then we have there's quite a few like smaller card games, trick taking games, games I won't tell you about because I want to make sure that we get a copy before they're sold out. So, but yes, I'm jumping.
The other caveat was Oh, there was two. The other one is that I do the research before for spiel and for everything. So if you feel like I'm jumping in to help cinema a bit more than I usually do, it's because you don't know much about these games.

Number 10.
Number 10. I start this time which is weird because you usually start. Number 10 is oil rock. This is from Cranio Creations which is like the main reason it's on the list. It's a new designer. It is a oilbased game and there haven't been that many good oil based games. There's been there's been wild caters. That's the one I can think about.
Furnace I'm thinking about right now.
It's an oil based. You do have oil like a resource, but you also have that I think in in power grid. So, but that's I wouldn't call power grid a oil based game.
What about the spill? That is a oil based game,
but in a different way and we haven't played it. That's you you're like, "Oh, I know things about games that we haven't played."
To like showcase that I actually know something before I'm going to butcher that.
O rock h it's a euro game. It's Crano Creations. Those are the main reason it's on the list. Cranio makes some very good games, publish some very great games, and I'm always excited to see what when when a pretty big publisher chooses to publish something from a brand new designer. That's always interesting. So hopefully and the pictures looks very nice. Like there is this round thing,
great descriptions,
taking great pictures of the game.
And this it looks like some things that might move or not, but it looked very nice.

If a lot of the components in this game is plastic components, you can really say it's an oil based game.

Number nine is Kingdom Come Deliverance.
This is probably number one for many people.
Yes. And I agree on that. Like I I understand it because it's two really great designers. Yes, it's Vlad and Thomas Hollik, which both have made amazing games.
Like one being a legend.

Um, but other than that, um, I don't know anything about this game.
It's based on a video game. I haven't played it, but I would like to play it. I have heard Paul Groen say about this game that if you enjoy Mage Knight, you will like this. You like Mage Knight? M

I played it solo once like 15 years ago. I think it's still on the shelf because it's one of those where like I would like I think it's still somewhere here in this

and this is Kingdom Come Deliverance the board game. So, but I I heard it's like it's a very long game. It's a long I think it's like one and a half hours per player.

on the box I think which means like a four player game is going to be
two players for no 2 hours per player
probably. So it's like it's in it's an event game like it's a probably a 6 to 8 hour game.
Yeah, as long as it's better than the the the Vark or what we call way. Yes,
because that was an event game that I did not enjoy.
But it's not the same at all. It has no similarities I think. H but it looks very nice.
Thinking about a long game.
I am. This this is rambling, but that's what we do. Uh if you came here for information, hopefully you get some you will get a little bit of information. Uh but this is one I'm excited to learn more about and uh to play. We will be getting it at Spiel. I don't think we will be playing it there because it is a long We know people who play long games at Spiel, but we don't have energy for that. I mean I mean for that one guy. We have all the energy in the world. Okay, next up is number eight. Oh, it's me because Yeah. Number eight is kind of weird because we said we we I wouldn't put things on this that I we have played. This is like the exception because we played it a year ago and I am very excited about it. So, the reason it's this go is probably because I have already played it and I'm even more excited about things I haven't tried yet. And this is Calypso. Calypso is for if it's as good as I remember, it is one of the better tail tingling games I have played in a few years. You only played a co-op version that we also did a play through of. I didn't play the competitive version. I think it's fantastic. And that's like the other main reason it's here because you haven't played the mode that I think is going to be the best fit for us. The cooperative version works perfectly, but I will never play it again because I don't enjoy co-op games that much. But
competitive version of that, fantastic. I cannot wait to see the finished project. I'm very excited to play Calypso again.

is Queen Alice. It is a game from Combo Games and it's about Alice in Wonderland.

And other than that, I don't know anything about this. Like
it looks because you're cool and I like you. Uh, Queen Alice looks very interesting. Uh, it has I don't know how it works because I haven't read the rules, but it has this chess board which is part of like the action selection mechanism. So, you have this chess board where you will probably be moving around pieces. No, I'm into thin like into like deepies. You will probably do actions and get some points

I think like Combo Games has made some good games. They haven't made I think this might be like their heavier on their side.
It's a pretty new company only like three I think three years maybe four but this is one I'm actually very excited about and then it's me number six Prague unseen. This one
I don't know too much about. I actually I actually I know it's a worker placement game. I think it's a worker placement game when I'm trying to like correct my head. I think it's a worker placement game where uh the action spots will evolve. So it's not like a workers will change. I might be mistaken. But the main reason it's here it's Alb which has made some great games like tea garden and also one of the designers it's a few designers on this one. I think four uh maybe three maybe eight. I'm saying numbers now. I know the numbers. Uh but one of the designers is the designer who did forestry which was our favorite game from last year. I think it was yours as well.

you can like for example there was this guy who stole Scream from the from the Norwegian
museum and check out that story because he he did it basically by he put up a ladder to a window. He walked in, got it, and went out.
