Solo Sunday Vlog! | Frosted Blooms, Take A Seat, Cavern Shuffle & more!
Transcript
What are you doing? What are you doing, boy? Look at my thing.
What are you All right. Hey friends, it is Jenna. What is up? And welcome back to the board game garden. And welcome to finally another solo Sunday, which it has been a really long time since I've done one of these. And I absolutely love filming these. And I think what I've decided, the reason why like I haven't uploaded any of these in a while is because my weekends end up being extremely busy and I find it so hard to carve out an actual Sunday to film one of these solo Sundays. So, what I think I've decided to do is I am not going to try to film these on Sundays. I am simply just going to try to upload these on Sundays because I find it easier to find a day where I can devote to filming the entire day, playing solo games the entire day. I do find it a lot easier to do it during the week instead of trying to fit it into my weekends.
So, anyways, hopefully you guys have been doing well. I am very excited to be filming this right now. You guys already saw that I made my coffee. I have a bagel. I went outside. We desperately need to get some sort of like shading for our patio. I think what I want to do I might actually see if I can get it this weekend cuz I love going out on our back patio and enjoying the beautiful weather in the morning with a cup of coffee and now my recent obsession which is Murdoku. Um but yeah, I found it really hard sitting out there in like the direct sunlight. So, I think this weekend I might try to grab some sort of outdoor umbrella so that we can have it out there and we can actually enjoy our back patio without roasting in the sun. So, you guys already saw this morning that I was out on the back patio and I did do one of the puzzles in the Murdoku book here. This is volume one. And the crazy thing is that I for the last like two to three weeks have been seeing people talk about Murdoku on Tik Tok.
I'm definitely getting my Tik Tok feed to be more so what I enjoy. My Tik Tok feed personally is like solo games, kind of cozy hobbies as well as cooking. That's pretty much all. Oh, and also dogs and things that make me cry often. I was seeing people in within like the cozy hobby community talking about Murdoku and I was like, "Oh my goodness, I think I would absolutely love that." because this is kind of a mashup of Sudoku, which I've talked about multiple times here on the channel that I am obsessed with Sudoku. Um, and then also like a murder mystery or those different games where it like has the people and it tells you different things and it kind of is like a logic deduction puzzle of who was the murderer um of the specific victim. So, it mashes those two things together. Sedoku and then murder mystery logic deduction puzzle into one.
It kind of reminds me a little bit of like Awkward Guests the board game meets Sudoku. Uh so yeah, I've been obsessed with this. Safe to say. Um and I cannot wait to play more of this. I have volume two as well. Uh, but what I was going to say is I've been seeing this for like the past two or three weeks and then lo and behold, the creator of Murdoku, aka Manuel, he reached out on email and said, "Hey, I saw your YouTube channel. I see that you're into like solo games and stuff. Uh, would love to send you Murdoku." And I'm like, "Oh my goodness, Manuel, I have been recently very intrigued by Murdoku. I got it like yesterday and I am already like on to puzzle number like 12 or 13. So yeah, safe to say I'm obsessed. But anyways, I also tried a new coffee creamer aka banana milk in my coffee. I was really obsessed with like a banana milk latte.
Starbucks also recently came out with like a banana bread matcha which I've been loving. So, I saw this like plant-based banana milk at one of these like health food stores that we go to often and I got it and unfortunately I don't think I like it. It's I think a little bit too like on the healthy side banana milk. It's like actually using bananas and it's making the coffee have a really weird texture to it. And I appreciate that it's healthy and it's like real banana, but it just doesn't it doesn't do the same thing for me. So, yeah. Safe to say I think I need like the fake banana milk, the fake flavoring, you know? So, yeah, I'm gonna try to finish this coffee, but it's it's not very good. Um, another thing I wanted to show you guys, I finally got a game that I've been wanting for so long.
Um, it is Heaven and Ale. I have talked about this game a ton on the channel and one of my subscribers reached out. Huge, huge thank you to you. You know who you are. you're so kind. And they mentioned that they saw this at their friendly local game store and picked me up a copy, which I can just not express how thankful I am for this community and how just like kind people are. So, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I cannot honestly thank you enough because this is a game that I've wanted in the collection for a very long time. Uh I'm excited cuz I believe there is a solo like fan-made solo mode for this one. But ultimately, Heaven and Nail, fantastic multiplayer, and I am just so excited to play it with more people. Uh because I have loved it. So, anyways, yes, I think I'm going to play one more mystery in Murdoku here and then I think I'm going to move on and play this game right here, which I've been playing this one recently. This is Cavern Shuffle.
Specifically, this is the Maze of the Minotaur. They recently did a Kickstarter campaign of some other versions. This is from the publisher Gravyboat Games. They did send this over to me cuz I really wanted to try it and I have been loving it. And it's kind of like um Solitaire but like with some additional mechanisms and stuff which I have really liked with a little bit more like theming to it. So this one specifically there's a minotaur that's like walking back and forth in like a dungeon that you're going through and you have to like defeat different monsters. Um, but ultimately the gameplay is very similar to Solitaire, which I absolutely love Solitaire. I was the type of person in like high school and college where I would play Solitaire on my computer while like doing homework and stuff. So anyways, yes, I'm going to play some Moku and then I'm going to play some Cavern Shuffle and then we're going to head downstairs. I do need to tidy up the board game room a little bit and also probably my office as well, but once we're finished with that, I have a few games that I've learned and I've been really wanting to play. So, we'll get into those and it's going to be a good day of solo gaming. Uh, and I am just so so excited. So, if you're excited for this vlog as well, please give this video a big thumbs up. Also, hit the subscribe button down below if you've yet to do so. We'd love to have you here in the garden. We are getting closer and closer every single video to 40,000 subscribers, which I think my goal for the end of 2026, I'd love to just reach 40,000 subscribers. I think that is one of my goals on my board game bingo in my board game journals. So,
that'll be fun to reach that. But if we could get to 50,000 by the end of the year, that would be amazing. And I feel like we can because it's only halfway through the year. Not even halfway through the year yet because halfway through the year is end of June. So, we still have 7 months to go until the end of 2026. So, fingers crossed we can reach 50,000 subscribers. But anyways, let's get into this video and get to some solo gaming, shall we?
Heat. Heat.
Hey, hey, hey.
Heat. Heat. N.
This is the worst situation I have been in in Cavern Shuffle. Look at all of these enemies. These four purple cards are enemies. So, you have to have a specific like party total. So, all of the cards that you have up at the top. Um, just like your standard solitaire, you start with like the ace and then you go up in each of the four suits. So, I've only started the cleric and we already have all four of these. So, in order for me to get rid of this swarm, my party level has to be five, which it's currently only one. So, wish me luck. This is great. Um, the minotaur does move every single time I place a card into my party. So, he will eventually move over top of this brood mother. But yeah, this is this is this is going great.
Whenever whenever I cook sausages or eat sausages that there's that one kids in the hall skit that will never escape my mind.
Where's that old guy? He's like, I want sausages. I want sausages.
You don't remember that?
No.
We're almost out of sausages.
Sausages.
I need more sausages.
Okay. We're going to go downstairs and play some board games downstairs.
this one.
All right, so I'm all finished with tidying up the office for the most part. The office is kind of always a little bit messy cuz it's where I spend most of my time. Um, but I did clean up the board game room. I had a live stream the other day, so I needed to clean up that for Let's Go to France. Then I also needed to put some games away because I went to a convention this past weekend as well. So, got all that worked out and now it is time to relax and play a few games, which I have all of my options here beside me. The ones that I want to play the most. Um, I haven't played Frosted Blooms yet solo, so I really want to play this one. I played it multiplayer once at packs unplugged this past year and I really enjoyed it multiplayer so I'm excited to play this one solo. Um I also learned how to play this one here which is Koi. This is another just like relaxing tile placement game. Um, both of these are tile placement games. And I really enjoyed DV Games first game, which is Bonsai, and I've been wanting to try Koi, which huge shout out Stacy for picking this up for me. We actually like swapped games. I picked up a game for her here in Canada, and she picked up a game for me in the US. Um, so yeah, huge shout out Stacy. She picked me up
Koi and I am so excited to play it. Uh, cuz like I said, I really enjoyed Bonsai. And this one is somewhat similar to Bonsai. It has this similar kind of hexagon tile placement game with different goals that you're trying to go for. You're also drafting cards and stuff to build up a little engine. So excited to play Koi. Excited to play Frosted Blooms. And then I also have this staff here, which I have Take a Seat, which is a flip and right game that I purchased from a bringin buy. It was actually published by Salt and Pepper Games, which I'm a huge fan of Salt and Pepper Games. And 21st Century Games is distributing it. So, I found this for a really good price at a bringin buy um actually at Breakout Con in March, and I haven't played it yet.
So, really want to play that one. And then I also really want to play Witchdom. I haven't played this one multiplayer yet. I learned it multiplayer, but I haven't learned it solo yet. So, if I do play this, I'm going to have to learn the rules for the solo mode. And then I also have Welcome to the Moon here. Welcome to the Moon has been an interesting game. I have only played the like first scenario and I really want to go and dive into some of the other scenarios cuz I love the Welcome to kind of game series. I absolutely love Welcome to Your Perfect Home. I sold Welcome to New Las Vegas. Guess I didn't like that one as much. And then I've always enjoyed Welcome to the Moon, but obviously I don't love the uh space theme. If you've been around on the channel, space is definitely not a theme that I gravitate towards. So, I often find it challenging to play this one. But it's funny because May the like solo focus for the board game garden is space. And I do love some specific space themes, but not specifically this space theme where you have like the spaceships and the astronauts and stuff, but I do really like the gameplay of this. So hopefully we'll see if I jump into that one. Anyways, I'm going to stop yapping.
And I think the first game that I want to get into, I think, is going to be Frosted Blooms. I'm really excited to play this one. So I'm going to quickly set this one up and then we're going to get to playing.
Okay, so I am all set up for frosted blooms, which this is a very interesting polyomino kind of puzzle because you're going to be drafting these different tiles that have three different colored flowers. So there's orange, white, and purple. And there's also going to be some water as well. And you're going to be moving this flower around. You are always able to draft the next in clockwise to where this flower is for free. But any that you want to pass, you always have to drop off one coin um onto that tile. So then whoever drafts that tile, including the AI, will gain that coin. Um and then you can use coins again for, you know, skipping different tiles to get to specific tiles that you want. Um, but once you take it, you're going to be placing it into your kind of flower field. And whenever you place, you're then going to score one of the three cards that you have face up. So, I could score this one, which would be two victory points uh for every orange flower. And this has to be whatever orange flowers on the tile that you're placing. And then any connected from there. Um, so that's how that works.
Then I would discard this card. I would draw a new card. We're going to be playing over 10 rounds. And the interesting thing about this one is that you are purposely wanting to create empty spaces because whenever you create an empty space, whether it's a 1x one, a 2x one, or a 2x two, you're then going to be placing either people in a 1x one, a barn in a 2x one, or a windmill in a 2x two. If you create like a little L shape, that would be a one by two and then also a one. So you would place a barn and a person. Um, and these are going to get you victory points at the end of the game. You're also going to have some objectives here that you're going to be going for. And basically AI is just going to be gaining points based off of the cards that they're flipping.
They're also going to be um gaining the different objectives when they can. And then they're also going to be What do they do with coins? I think on their cards they're going to have different icons that either tell them to move this once or move it twice. And then when they do move it twice, they do have to drop off a coin like any player would. Um, and then also on the card you're going to have that they are going to collect the specific things either people, more coins, barns, windmills, so on and so forth. So yes, we're going to get right into this. I am very excited. I don't know if you guys are going to be able to really tell on camera, but these tiles actually have like beautiful foiling on them. And I am just like obsessed. I wasn't expecting that. I don't remember when we played it at packs if it had this like foiling, but it's like a holographic foil and it just like is just on the edges of all the flowers, so it makes it look like they are, you know, frosted. They have like little frosted tips. So yeah, very beautiful.
Um I believe it also has it on the box as well. Oh my god, that's so pretty. More games need to have foiling on all components cuz it's just so pretty. But all right, so I am always the first player. So I am going to get the first move. And what do I want to do here? I could right away do this and then that would allow me to score and then I could take I could do purple and water and that will immediately get me one person in that one by one empty spot. I think I'm going to do that. So, this card is going to score me one victory point for every flower, purple flower. And that is on this tile plus any connected to the purple flower on this tile. So, I have three, four, five for the purple flower.
And then one per water on this tile. So, another two. So, I got seven victory points for that card. I'll discard that. And then I will draw a new one. And then the AI is going to go. I just moved once and a new tile comes out where that flower tile was before. The AI is going to draw one. The interesting thing is that the AI, they're not actually building up a tableau um of tiles. They're building up a tableau of these cards. So you guys will see on that side the I think it's your right side of the card, they have little squares that are going to be them building up their icons in order to score for them. So this is going to go here. This card is going to score them for uh white flowers and purple flowers.
They have two purple and three white. So, they are going to score five victory points. And then they're going to gain one barn already. That's crazy. And then they are going to move this flower twice. So, they're going to go boom, boom. They're going to take this tile. That's going to go out of the game. They're going to drop off one there. A new tile is going to come out. And then it's back to me. Very straightforward AI, which we love. I also forgot to take my person, put him in here. I'm kind of I'm tempted to just gun for uh this objective tile here, which is the first person to have four people in their tableau. Um cuz basically the AI is always going to check to see if they have the highest of a specific objective. Um so currently the highest because in certain player counts you're going to put out a certain amount of tiles. there's going to be more objectives for a higher player count.
But in a two-player game, which is what we're doing right here, me and the AI, it is eight objectives. So, the rest of the objectives are here. Um, but there's just like certain ones in each of the categories. So, for the purple flowers, there's only one out, which is have eight purple flowers and you get 10 victory points. So, the AI is looking to do that one. And then for the orange flowers, it's you either have six orange flowers to get three victory points or you can wait and try to get 10 flowers in like a connected area for 25 victory points. So the AI is only going to accept an objective from a specific column if they have the highest one. So when they get to six orange, they're not going to accept that objective tile. They're going to wait until they have 10. Um, whereas there's no white ones.
There is just the six times water. So, we are going to be fighting for that one. So, I might want to try to grab that one as soon as possible. Um, I'm assuming the AI is going to get this one, which is have two barns for three victory points, but I'm okay with them taking that. And then we have the four people for 10 victory points, which actually this goes here. It's not at the bottom. Um, so four people for 10 victory points and then we also have windmills. Either one mil windmill for three victory points or three windmills for 25. I'm going to try to get that. I don't know if I'm going to be able to do that, but we will see. Um, okay. Anyways, I'm going to continue playing this and I will talk to you guys once I'm finished. I am very excited for this. I have been craving just like comfort games and very like tactile puzzly games. Uh, so this one I feel like is going to be really good. Also, Koi I feel like is going to be really good for me as well. And then maybe I'll I'll see if I can play another like tile placement game cuz that's really what I'm feeling. Ooh, maybe I'll play Keshi solo cuz I haven't played Keshi solo yet. Anyways, I'm going to get playing and I will see you guys in a little bit.
Okay, game is all over. I feel like I did pretty well. Um, but I am going to score now with you guys. So, we're going to first do what we have on here. I got 101 and then the AI got 57, which is pretty crazy. Um, I got four guys. Each of them are three, so I got 12. The egg I got three of them, so they got nine. Um, how many? Ooh, I got no barns. Didn't take a barn strat. And then they have four barns, so each barn is 10. So they did get 40 more, so that might help them out. We each got one windmill, which is 25 victory points.
Um, but because we both got one kind of evens it out. Uh, and then we have objectives, which I did a heck of a lot better than the AI when it came to objectives. So they only got three victory points. And then I have 25, 35, 45, 48 in objectives. And then I have three coins left over. They have one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight left over. Let me quickly do this math. I have a feeling that this game for the solo mode, I feel like it would be really swingy maybe just dependent on the cards that the AI has and the order that they come out. Um because they basically have 15 of these cards. You shuffle them up, take five of them out, and then depending on the order that it comes out in, that's how they kind of chain their actions. Um, so I think that there's like a bunch of them that weren't in play that were like really good for them. So they have five here. One of them gave them a person and a barn. This one gave them a person. This one gave them a windmill.
This one gave them a barn and a person. And this one gave them a windmill. So two of the three windmill cards that they had in here just didn't come out. So, like if those were in the game and they got two more windmills, that would be another 50 victory points for them. So, it just happened to be that those weren't in play. So, like I feel like I kind of just got lucky with the cards that came out, but we'll see. I might have actually not even have won. So, we will just have to check. So, I got 189 and then the AI got 142. I will say that I did still really enjoy the gameplay of this one. I feel like this one I don't know if I love the solo mode for this because like I said, I feel like it really just depends on the cards that they have in play and when you shuffle them and take five out.
It just depends on the five that you take out um truly. But I guess they could have gotten like really lucky with the way that the flowers came out because if ever a black square comes out and kind of like breaks off their chain of flowers or water that very well could uh you know lose them a lot of victory points. So it really just depends on the cards that are in play for the solo AI. What I guess objectives that are in play cuz they just didn't get lucky with timing of objectives. And then also, like I said, where the, you know, black boxes come out and where it like breaks up their chains. Um, so yeah, I guess there's just like quite a bit of luck when it comes to the solo mode, which is totally fine. Like I'm fine with luck in games, but at the same time, you do also have to play the game well in order to get enough victory points to beat them.
So yeah, I I really enjoyed it. I do want to play this one multiplayer again because I loved it multiplayer. Um, but it's just a fun polyomino game where you're having to think of things a little bit different than typical polyomino games because you can't just fit things in perfectly and you have to balance when you want to connect things for scoring your cards, but then also when you don't want to connect things and create those empty spaces for the barn, windmill, and farmers. So, overall really enjoyed it. I'm going to clean this up and then I think I'm going to play koi next.
All right, friends. I am all set up for my game of koi. I don't know if you guys can see, but there's like rainbows coming onto the table, which makes me so happy. I put a sticker on this window a while back and this time of day is perfect where it's like 3 3:30 and the light is coming in here perfectly. So, I always like to play games out here when it's this time of day cuz I just think it's so pretty and so peaceful and I just love the light coming in. I am type of person that absolutely loves sun and just sun makes me so happy and instantly boosts my mood. But anyways, we're going to get into this game of koi. Um, I also have like a koi pond like lowfi video on on the TV and it looks so nice and this is just the best vibes. Um, but yeah, I'm going to be going against an AI and this AI is really simple. It is just literally taking things from you. Um, so whenever I take a card, then you have to discard a card to the left of it. And then whenever I do a work action, I'm gonna have to discard the rightmost card. And ultimately, I am trying to
score a certain amount of victory points and also claim all three of the goals. So there are a bunch of different goals that have different pieces associated with them. And you have to achieve like the goal of the card in order to then add this into your pond. Um, so the three that I have is waterfall and I need to get two well cards in order to add that into my pond. I also have the purple water lily. And this is that I have to have I think it's one water tile and two of the normal lilies. And then I can add this purple water lily to my pond. And then lastly, we have this big ginormous koi fish, which this is one of my favorite parts of the game because all of the kois are on these like beautiful clear acrylic tiles and you're like layering them over top. Um, so it looks like they're in your pond. So this one I need five coins and I'm going to spend those five coins in order to place out this huge koi. So typically in the game you have single spot kois, two spot kois, then also three um like hex kois and then the special one is the four hex koi. So yeah and then at the end of the game each of these different goals slash things that you're adding in are going to get you victory points in different ways. Ultimately you're trying to get as many koi into your pond. Um, you're also
trying to get these different lanterns into your pond as well. And each thing is going to be scoring a little bit differently. Koi are going to score based off of the liies that are around them. The lantern is going to score you one victory point for every tile that is in a straight line from that lantern. You also have objective cards that you can get. Um, and then you also have the goals. And then they have these like special lucky cards or something like that that are one victory point each if you don't use them. So yeah, pretty straightforward game. We're just drafting these cards. We're paying coins in order to add koi into here. Um you're also taking work turns or work actions in order to add things into your koi pond. And then as you get more of these worker cards, that then generates more actions that you can do during a work turn. So that is that. I think I'm going to move you guys back to the other angle that I had you over here cuz I thought it was so pretty with the koi box here and then the koi pond video on the TV. I just think it looks spectacular. So we're going to get into this and then I will chat to you guys about it after.
All right. So, I just did my final score for Koi and I got 84, which I don't really know how that is. We will see here. So, I got 84. There are three different kind of levels. You can be a student, an expert, or a master. And I got 80 to 99, which is expert, which I feel like is pretty good. In order to become a master or a sensei, you have to get a score of a hundred or more, which I feel like that would be very difficult. But this was a lot of fun. I am absolutely obsessed how this ends up looking in the end. I love the kois. I will say the kois compared to like the other things are very large. Um, I understand that they had to make them the size of the different um, tiles, but like the waterfall is so small compared to the fours size koi. So, I'm like, that's a huge koiish if it's almost the size of a waterfall. Um, but anyways, I liked this a lot. It has a lot of similarities to bonsai, but instead of, you know, growing a tree and then trying to get objectives based off of the tree, you are building out a koi pond. And you still have that kind of engine building kind of aspect to it with the different worker cards that as you get more of those when you take a work turn, you're able to do more. Um, which I really, really enjoy. They added some fun things
with the different objectives that you can go for, which you do still have different objectives and like variable objectives in Bonsai as well. Um, but I really like the tile layering of the koiish as well as the liies, the water lilies. And you can like get more objectives here, which I forget if you could like draft objectives as cards in Bonsai. I don't remember that being a thing. Um, but I also really like the like lucky cards or whatever these are called. Please hold as I figure out what these are called. Lucky tokens or luck tokens. So, I do like the luck tokens. Um, I like those a lot. and all the different types of cards. And I think it'll be really fun to like always have three different objectives um or kind of things that you are adding that are like different than other games. I think that's a lot of fun. So with this game, I had the carp and then I had the purple water lily and then I had the waterfall. But in a next game, I could have three completely different um goal cards. So yeah, I liked this a lot. It was very relaxing.
I loved having this on the TV. There was like some very Japanese inspired Loi on the TV as well with the water and just like this makes me so happy. So, it was a good time. It is now 4:37. So, it's actually not quite dinner yet. So, what I could do is I could set up a game. I definitely don't have enough time to actually like fully play another game. Like I guess I could play like a quick game, but I don't really feel like doing that. So I might actually just tidy up Koi, decide what I'm going to play next, and then I will head upstairs, hang out with Francis for a bit, um have some dinner, and then I will come back down here and we will play probably like two more games. I really want to play Take a Seat. That is a flip and right. It's not really a roll and right. It's quite an interesting game. It has some like polyomino kind of vibes to it, but in a really unique way.
Um, so I might play Take a Seat and then maybe we will play something a little bigger. I don't know. We'll see. But I'm very excited for the rest of the vlog. Hopefully you guys are enjoying it so far. Um, let me know if you guys have been playing some solo games recently. What games have you been enjoying? Let me know down in the comment section. But I will see you guys after dinner. Hello friends. What is up? It has been a little bit. I had some leftover like flatbread pizza from a grocery store that we we got yesterday. Was very delicious. Um, but we are back to doing some more gaming. The dogs have joined me. I was literally just going to say I don't know if they're going to stay for long and they both have already left. Walter is sitting by the door begging to go out in the backyard. So, I will most likely have to get up again and let them out. But anyways, we're going to get back to some gaming. Like I told you guys, I really want to play Take a Seat. This is one that I've been wanting to play for a while since getting it in March. And then I have had Welcome to for a very long time. Welcome to the Moon specifically. And I've only played the first kind of map. So I really want to dive into maybe another one. We will see. So I think I'm going to play Take a Seat first here all cozy in our living room. Um, it is like I think 7:30, almost 8:00 now. So, the sun is definitely going to start going down soon. So, hopefully we don't lose too much light. But, we're just going to have a cozy night in here in the living
room. Francis is just in his office playing some video games and probably very sad because we are not playing Pow World tonight, which we have been obsessed with POW World recently. Let me know if you guys have played Pow World. It is still in early access and I believe sometime in 2026 they're going to be releasing the full game and yeah, Francis and I are very excited for the full game and we've just been enjoying it, playing it together. So yeah, anyways, I'm going to stop yapping and we are going to play Take a Seat.
Here we go.
Hey, Hey,
hey, hey.
This overhead lighting looks very scary, but I am currently at the dining table and it is like 11:30, so it's a little bit later. And Francis and I, you guys saw, we went on a walk with the dogs, which was really nice. And then I finally got to playing Welcome to the Moon, which this is a game that I've been really wanting to come back to. Um, I personally really enjoy Welcome to Your Perfect Home. I love the theming of that, like filling in the houses and stuff. And obviously, because this is a space themed game, it definitely doesn't like call to me as much as the original. And truly, I always forget how good this iteration of Welcome 2 is. I really enjoy it. I've only played now the first two maps, and I had a lot of fun with this one. Basically, this is the first map that you go through, which is like you're taking off in your spaceship, and then you go on to the second one, which is then you're like now in outer space.
And then there's like other spaceships that you're trying to get to by following this little robot path. And then you're also collecting energy in order to cuz basically it's just like one continuous path from I think it's from Earth to the moon. I think that's probably your journey is you're going to the moon. Uh, obviously, Jenna, it's called Welcome to the Moon. Oh my goodness. Oh, also, it does look like I have just a pile of doodoo on this plate, but I had a cut up banana and I was dipping it in. It's Nutella pretty much, but it's like a different brand. Um, very good. Definitely recommend as a little snack. But anyways, there's one continuous path that's very long and you have to do numbers in consecutive order unless you cut the path. Um, which I think is really cool and kind of brings in the like blocks that you have in Welcome to Your Perfect Home. So, really like that part of it. Um, I will say that I lost sadly. I was on the level two of the Astra or AI character. Um, the one thing that I really like about this game is that you have a bunch of different kind of like levels of AI. So, I was on level two and it basically just changes the amount of victory points they get for each type of card you give them. Cuz when you're playing the solo, instead of taking or having three pairs of cards that have the number and on the other
side you have the icon, you're just drawing three. And then you're using one card for the number. you're using one card for the icon, then the third card is being given to the AI and then that's the cards that they're going to um score at the end of the game. So, you're kind of being mindful of what cards you're giving the AI, trying to avoid the ones that give them a lot of points, more so giving them the ones that will not give them points. And I feel like I did pretty good with that, but I wasn't really paying attention too too much to the Well, I was paying attention to the objectives. It was just very difficult. I was having a very hard time with the objectives. So, I ended up only getting one of the three objectives and I didn't get it until the AI flipped it over. So, yeah, very difficult. I ended up losing by two points. I got 62, the AI got 64.
Um, but for this being my first play of this specific like map and scenario, I feel like I did pretty good. Anyways, that is going to be everything for this video. Um, hopefully this is an okay outro space. I feel like it's not because of the weird lighting, but uh, yeah. Hopefully you guys enjoyed coming along with me for this day of gaming. I played a total of, if you're counting Murdoku, I played Murdoku in the morning, Cavern Shuffle, Frosted Blooms, Koi, Take a Seat, as well as Welcome to the Moon, which I feel like that's a pretty good gaming day. Um, I don't really know which one was my favorite. I am really obsessed with Murdoku, not gonna lie. I'm probably gonna go get ready for bed and then I'm gonna go into bed and then I'm probably going to play some more Rodoku. So, that's probably a favorite. And then I do really like uh Frosted Blooms. That one was a lot of fun.
I think that's probably a fave. Take a Seat was really fun. Koi was really fun. Cavern. Honestly, I can't really pick a favorite. They were all great, all good games, and I'm very happy that I was able to play them all today. So, anyways, if you guys enjoyed, please give this video a big thumbs up. Also, hit that subscribe button down below if you've yet to do so. We'd love to have you here in the garden. Uh, comment down below some solo games that you've been playing recently. I'd love to hear about that down in the comment section. I love you guys so much. Remember, you're somebody's reason to smile. And I will see you in the next board game video. Bye friends.
