What? Where you going? Tragedy has struck and all of my games have disappeared. These would be the ones I would replace my collection with or start a new collection with. I took a slightly different approach. These aren't like my 10 favoritis games. I thought more about what does a holistic collection look like if I wanted to if I was starting a collection over again. A good starter collection. It encompasses all the different uh people we could accompany with that. So, let's get into it. So, for two-player games, I picked Lord of the Rings uh Duel for Middle Earth. This is the seven wonders dual system, which is the seven wonders system, which is a card drafting game where you're just going to take cards from the tableau to build out your own tableau that will then make buying cards cheaper. And you're trying to race to get to the uh end of Mount Doom or to take over all of the rest of the lands or to get all of the affiliations from all the factions to win. This game does often end in a tie though, uh, which ends up being who has the most area control, which I don't quite like. So, the allies expansion does help this a little bit, giving a little bit more variability to the game. Oh, you're so cute. Oh, you're so cute. Oh, you're so cute. Oh, you're so cute. Oh, you're so cute. Okay, what about deck building and bag building, Bo? We're going to go with Orleans. I actually don't own this game right now. Um, and I really would like to, but I'm trying to get my hands on the big box deluxe version with all the wooden screen printed components, and it's been really hard to find. Um, it's

actually one of the games that I'm trying to find. Like, a lot of these games I actually do want to read to my collection, and some of them I have already. We'll get to a couple of those later, but Orlons is one of those that I want to re to my collection. This is a d a bag building game where that's going to be the workers that you're going to be able to place out on the actions. And the actions are all just your standard euro of trying to get your resources and contracts and get your different uh point salary type of mechanisms there. For co-op and RPG style of game, I went with Mage Knight, which I have recently repurchased. Actually, I never owned Mage, but I have played it and my friends had the copy. Um, but I like playing this one as a co-op style game. I'm not really a lot for co-op style games because I don't like that kind of all going towards the same mission and it's getting really difficult and it's unbeatable kind of thing. I like the Mage Knight co-op style where we're both kind of on the same team beating things up, exploring and adventuring and seeing what we can get to and like kind of like that Dungeon and Dragons kind of style, cooperative thing where we're both we're all kind of independent and able to make our own decisions and moving towards the same goal versus having to work together and decide collectively on something.

For tiling, this one's a hard choice because these kind of cycle through my collection a lot. I went with Cascadia because I think it's something that I can end up replaying over and over again even though I currently don't have it anymore. I actually sold it. Um, so I might actually go with Cascadia Alpine Lakes, but I haven't played it yet in order to like really recommend it as a part of a new collection list. Um, but that Alpine Lakes one is also bringing back that Harmony's 3D effect. Um, but then it's not really tile placement anymore. Um, and then Harmonies isn't really tile placement either. You're just kind of building out. Uh, but those kind of frosted blooms would would be a really cool runner up though because for tile placement, it's completely different because you actually want to have gaps. So, it would be one of those two. For the thrash style of things, beat him up, wrestling, exploring, just smash smashy smashing with blood rage. I play tested this game a long, long time ago. I used to have the all-in Kickstarter version of it. Uh, my friends still have it, so I don't really need to add this cup into my collection because it is a very big box and I have very limited space here. There's this one shelf and three of the same size of it behind you on wheels so that they can roll in and out like a library stack.

Um, and that's already a lot. I kind of want to turn that thing into a a little cove so I can see everything instead of it all being thing. But anyways, Blood Rage is a really cool game where you are just building up your army and going out and beating things up with some area control and beating up your enemies and their friends. It's really fun. For using dice in a non-standard roll and move kind of way, I've gone with Grand Austria Hotel. This is something that I've recently discovered. It was one that I have wanted to play for a very long time and never did because everyone that had played it that I was talking to said it was like really hard and not very easy to teach and get around. But then I played it. I'm like that's so not true at all. This game is super easy. It's totally up my alley and I love it. And I recently got the Let's Walt expansion for it. Um and I have 3D printed upgraded bits for it. So it's got these little cute little cakes and stuff. Uh, but this is just a game of drafting dice in order to take actions that will get you resources so that you can feed your um attendants and then room your attendants in your hotel. And then if you room your attendance in a hotel, it's also got tile placement actions there where if you've managed to place your tiles correctly, you're going to get some bonus points as well. And as an autistic, I've got to have a train game, right? My favorite train game so far and still is Age of Steam. Although it would be either Age of Steam or Steam Power at this point. Um, Steam Power I've been playing a little bit more because it's a little bit easier to get to the table, takes up a little less space, quicker to get onto the table than Age of Steam, and doesn't have like debt and financial mechanics like Age of Steam does. But I like Age of Steam better with the deluxe reprinted version

because dealing with that and managing that debt is actually much easier than it has ever been in the previous versions of Steam and Age of Steam. However, both of these are done by Martin Wallace, maybe the king of train games, really. Um, or Leonard Oliger would be the other King of TR games, but I'm not wearing one for 18xx games. When it comes to multi-use cards and tableau building, I've gone with Wondrous Creatures. I've said this one numerous times. I don't need to say much for it. If you love Terraforming Mars, grab yourself Wondrous Creatures instead. It's cute. It's cozy, but it still can be aggressive with the gargantuan beasts, and it can still be um well, not even aggressive, but more competitive, I guess. Um, and the latest expansion, um, Winterfall or Fell, whichever it was, uh, is really cool, adding a lot more variability to it and making the setup easier as well, um, for actually putting out what the mechanics are that you need to score with will be because it comes with these little chits that you just put on the cards and bam, instead of having to figure out, oh, I already have the dragons out here, so I can't put the dragons here. They've simplified that so much. It's nice. When it comes to party games, until I can get my hands on Dino Racer, it's currently going to be Hot Streak, which is basically I don't want to say the same game, but they're that same idea of a game where we are betting on a race that's going there. A lot of people actually like Ready, Set, Bet, but that one is once again, it's like for a party game, that game is too huge.

Um, and uh, Hot Streak is really cool. It comes in this really cool unique box. However, that unique box also makes it a little bit hard for starting a collection because it's not a standard shelf size box, that 12 x 12 x 1 and 3 in size of a box you normally get here. It's more of a 4x4 inch square and it's got a roll out um board inside of the box and so I'm really scared of that box damaging over time. Um so I've actually sold that and I really want to get my hands on Dino Racer which is a card version of that. However, the next category is card games. And for that, I've gone with Trio or Nana. I have both Nana, Nana Christmas, and Trio, the English version of these all. Um, I love this game. It's a very simple memory game. It takes it right to the cusp of what my short-term memory could do um for my memory. And even then, I still forget it. When you get to four players or five players, it gets very difficult trying to remember everything. So, I recommend it at three or four. But, it's a lot of fun. You can only ask for the highest and lowest card of somebody or your own highest and lowest card or pick from the center. And then you're trying to create a uh trio of card there, hence the name trio in English. And that will win you the set. If you win three sets, you win. If you win two sets that are add up or equal seven, the lucky number, you win. Or if you manage to play out all three sevens, you also win. But that's very difficult because the sevens are in the middle of the hand and so it's hard to get out. So, those are 10 games that I would use to start a new collection, knowing what I know now, giving you a nice variability of that.

So, what games would be in your new collection, and how would you go about starting a new collection? See you next time. Bye.
