And then we'll be playing one as well when we make our way to the other part of the studio here. So looking forward to that. Anything new with you? I'm just going to put you on the spot. What's going on? Oh man, I got to play a game called Quagmire yesterday. That was really fun. It's about frogs. And it was a two-player game and it was tile laying, so really cute. And I also got to check out Ivy Studio's Alterra. Oh yeah. And that one's coming out. And I I was really I really like the game.

1:54 Yeah, I have some thoughts about um paralysis for more than two players, but I think it would be better at a higher player count, but I think it goes up to five and I would never play that game at five. Just my own personal thoughts on it. But yeah, like I've been I love playing uh some board games this week. We actually got to play one together.

2:11 Yeah, uh Ruel and I are going through Title Blades 2: Rise of the Unfolders and we just hit our first boss fight

2:24 crushed. Well, which is so funny. So, uh we met up and actually Michelle, my wife, was there, too, where um she was working while we're uh playing the game and we had just told her like, "Oh, we're really good at this game."

2:41 No, we got crushed by the big boss. So, we're going to do we're going to replay that one. Um you know what I did this weekend? And I told you, but I got to tell y'all, I went to go see Lenny Kravitz this weekend.

2:50 Um he played he played a show uh on Saturday night. Michelle and I went and it was a great show. Um I don't know, if there any any Lenny Kravitz fans? Like I I mean, I was a I'm a fan, but just seeing him live became more I became more of a fan. Like the musicianship, the band was tight, and he actually walked through the crowd at the end during the um uh encore.

15:06 Okay, well, this works this works just as well, then. This is the Cats of New Orleans. Uh this is a game where you are playing as cats in 1868. Uh it's a miniature solo {slash} uh competitive um campaign game.

15:24 So it can be solo but it oh it's a cooperative and not not competitive sorry. You're playing directly on the spiral bound scenario book just like other games such as title blades two that we're playing right now. And you're using 12 sided dice for combat collecting cards for loots, skills and powers. I love the art here. This this is what got me. I was like look at this.

19:02 There's also Mars in space. In this case it is Race to Mars the Lunar Edition. Now a couple of people put this on my radar primarily Rado. Rado has raved about this game for years. It's one of his favorite underrated games.

19:18 Um it's been out for a few years, but this is the new edition of the game, which apparently streamlines stuff and makes it a little cleaner playing.

19:26 Um and uh this is you are building your own custom rocket and planning your crew to take them to the red planet. The red planet, Ray, if you don't remember, is Mars.

19:45 Yeah, I was trying to be cool. I can't be cool on this show. Um so what you leave behind is a decision as to what leftover cards will be used to build your game board. So I think that's a really interesting mechanism where yeah, you're building your things, but then the leftover stuff actually makes the board itself like the tableau here. Um there's Rado's number 85 game of all time. That's his that's pretty big for like a highly ranked game that no one's heard of for Rado.

20:22 Yeah. Rado is hardcore. Like he literally does this ranking of all his games as a collection every couple of years. So he has his top 100 right now, but he's like so precise. Yeah. So did you know I didn't know this until I started working with him. You know how you go on BGG and you rank games like one to 10, one like three, four, five, eight, whatever. He he goes decimal points. So he'll have certain games 8.345. 6.4

Um and robots are in this version. There were no robots in previous versions. Uh so, you're going to have to contend with the robots that are trying to um take over the world.

I am playing today as the red dwarf star Esphyr Volcova. Uh her her her's is really straightforward. It's basically I have a hand size of four instead of the normal three. And what we're trying to do is we're trying to avoid getting hit and how you get hit is basically if your bullets go all the way down to the bottom here you'll shift them over to the left. We each have four health. The first player to take four hits is the loser and that's that. Uh now there is a real time component of this game but for the first couple of turns um we're going to play non-real-time just so we can explain stuff and then we'll take a It's a I think it's a 3-minute round. This says I need to have any three uh bullets on the right column here, and then all these little um uh explosions, that's the clear symbol, I will be able to clear those out.
