Hey everybody, I'm Tom Vassal and welcome to look back. This is series where I take a look at videos that I reviews that I've done a year ago, five years ago, 10 years ago and 20 years ago and I tell you what I think about the games now if I think about them at all. So 20 years ago, I took a look at Seismic. Seismic is a game in which you put tiles on on a board and there was an earthquake and at the time I was like, "Ah, it's close. You know, I don't This doesn't interest me at all anymore this game." So I kind of dropped it a bit because it just it doesn't hold up at all. Five out of 10. Poison. There are so many versions of this Knizia game. Friday the 13th, Baker's Dozen, which I think is hilarious. A game about poison and also donuts. The but the different themes in the same game. It's an interesting style card game. It's fine. 6.5.
Blue Moon City. This is a classic game which I believe is going to be reprinted very soon. Uh was printed by both Seeman and Fantasy Flight as the years went by. I never was never a big fan of Blue Moon the card game, but Blue Moon City where you're all working buildings to build them, dropping things off, moving dragons around, I thought worked very well. Eight out of 10. 10 years ago I reviewed Morocco, a game from Pinchback and Riddle. Um it's okay. It's about trading goods. It's what you think it might be. Six out of 10. Colony. Another six. This is a game that I think Bezier Games thought would be like the next big thing after Dominion where you're using dice and manipulating dice with cards, but it just wasn't interesting enough. It was close. There was some interesting ideas, the whole concept, but it never took off. I don't think there was ever any expansions for it.
What's up? This is a good game about birds from Strawberry Studios. This is a little game little studio that NSKN had for a while like for small games. It was pretty decent 6.5. And Ski Wampus, a Triomino style game that was meant to prove which meant I went into it expecting to hate it and was surprised when it was almost good another 6.5. Jenga Quake, you think this would be a terrible version of Jenga. It's probably one of my favorite versions because it just every once in a while quakes. I like that. I like that concept. It makes you play faster because you're not going to sit around waiting for the next quake to come seven out of 10. Hit Z Road. This is a This is one of the best themings of a game ever. Basically, the game is a game that a kid made while he and his family are on the road running from zombies. So, the all the pieces are bottle caps and other things he finds running around. It's about escaping zombies.
A nice little game seven out of 10. Dragon Racer, this game about racing dragons and I the game itself I remember the game but what I really remember is the artist Rocky Hammer is their name and then she's known more for I think probably her artwork as part of Spirit Island but I remember very much being happy with the artwork in this game. And then Imagine, a party game with transparent cards and pictures and you put them together to make things. I think this works well. There's not a lot of games that do it and so I thought this one worked pretty well 7.5. Five years ago I reviewed Castle Party a roll and write style game about inviting different monsters to your party. Not too good five out of 10. Happy City, a nice little game where you're building a tableau and making your city well as happy as you can from Cocktail Games seven out of 10.
Quacks of Quedlinburg the Alchemists, this is the second expansion for Quacks. I think it's I think it's built into the Quacks game and I'm not sure but I remember very much enjoying it 8.5. And The Crew Deep Mission Deep Sea, I can't believe this game is 5 years old now. So it's this was the second crew and I didn't realize that it's been that long since the crew has come out. You know, the the new one just came out. There's a 5-year difference. I thought it was a closer uh spread there, but this is one of my favorite version of the crew. The new one is is is awesome. I love the new one uh crew mission to the end of the earth, but crew deep sea is probably if I had to pick one for my favorite it might still be there. 10 out of 10. Last year I reviewed a bunch of small games. Bloom Chasers 3D I'm sorry, Corgi Pile Up, which was just terrible.
Terrible game. I can't believe it was reprinted. Three out of 10. Play 5 mixing Scrabble with poker. No. Four out of 10. Seventh Inning Stretch. I love baseball, but this dice manipulation game even though there's a card in it now that for for a Tom Vaselino um I didn't like I haven't played the new version, but I don't think it's changed much. Five out of 10. Bloom Chasers 3D trees. You made these It looks gorgeous. But it just it's too random. Five out of 10. Connect. Rolling right Tetris-style game. Five out of 10. Marbellous. Put marbles in this grid from Cosmos and and the marbles are cool, but again just playing app. Five out of 10. Speculas. This is a game about these little cookies and you're kind of collecting them and building a grid in front of you.
When played with two players I think it works. I think it doesn't work any other player count. Six out of 10. Cogs and Carts. This one doesn't look particularly good um with these wooden cogs, but I like the idea this as you move these cogs and then try to move across the board. I thought it worked well. Seven out of 10. Plan a Pita, which sounds like a delicious dish at a Greek restaurant. Nope, this is a magnet flicking game, which I do tend to like those. Seven out of 10. All Aboard. A Devir small box card game, which I tend to dislike Devir small games, but I thought this one worked well about playing animals at the right time. Sort of a Citadels ask situation with a Noah's Ark theme, seven out of 10. Where is that Europe? I really like the concept of this game. I think this one might might go up for me over time. It's a geography game and you're placing cards where you think they might fit geographically with just the name. So, is London to the west or east of Warsaw?
Is it above or below? And then you flip them over at the end and get points. Uh seven out of 10. And Cup the Crab, a funny little push your luck style game about when's the right time to play the cup and grab the crabs in the middle. I enjoy this one from Mandu, another seven out of 10. There you go, folks. A lot of different games from 1, 5, 10, and 20 years ago. Thanks for watching look back. I'm Tom Vassal. We'll see you next time.
