What are you doing, dude? Here, do you want to be in my video with me? Hold on to Mama. We're going to jump up and we're going to say, "Oh, hi." Okay, ready? 1 2 3

Oh, hi.

Hi.

Say, "Welcome back to Board Game Buzz."

Welcome back to us.

Say, "We're so happy to have you here."

Happy you.

Hey, is this room kind of a disaster?

Yeah.

Yeah? Do you want to help Mommy clean up this room?

I'm not.

No, you don't want to help? But you're down here. Can't you help us clean up?

Yeah.

Oh, thank you. I love that. Hello, everybody. Welcome back to Board Game Buzz today and welcome to our brand new house. Can you say, "Yay?"

Yay.

Do you like our house?

Yeah.

Do you like your bedroom?

Yeah.

Yeah, is it pretty great?

Yeah.

Yeah, well, guess what? We have a new We have a brand new board game room, which we are so excited about. The problem is this room is a little bit of a disaster, huh? It's super messy. We have been spending weeks unboxing and getting this house set up, and I just kept telling everybody, you know, when you find a game, just bring it down to the game room. I'll get to it eventually. Well, now we're to the point where I actually need to organize and clean the board game room and kind of put it together. And honestly, I am super overwhelmed. In our last place, we had We actually had a room that was kind of like this office room that doubled as Beckham's bedroom that had so many shelves all over it. So, I actually kind of got a lot of games while we were in Washington,

and it just didn't really feel like I mean, obviously, I have a lot of games, but it didn't really feel like we were drowning in games necessarily because we had a spot for them. But this house is laid out very differently, and this room that we are in, that's my future game room that I'm super excited about, is very small. I'm really nervous that I'm actually going to have to do a really big purge because there's no way that these games I mean I don't know. Maybe we'll get creative. Maybe we'll find ways um of storing these games where it doesn't feel like a It literally feels like a board game just threw up over this entire room. So, as I was taking a look at this room, I was like, "You know what? Let's do a video unboxing kind of everything and putting this room together, hopefully making it look really good." I am guessing this is not going to be a one-day thing. I think this is probably going to take multiple days of me putting this board game room together, but we're going to try our best. Huh? We're going to try our best?

And you think it's going to be a good room when we're all done?

Yeah.

Before we jump too far into this video though, if you are new to Board Game Buzz, welcome. We're so happy to have you here. Would it mind liking, subscribing, and doing all the good stuff to support me and the channel? We would really appreciate it. But without further ado, let's go ahead and dive into this board game room setup in the new house.

So, a part of the problem that I'm running into is obviously I need to take everything off the table, really everything off of everywhere, and reorganize it, but there is literally no room on the ground. If I move everything to the ground, I will have no room to walk. So, trying to figure out the best course of action here. Everybody organizes their board games in different ways. Lots of people like it alphabetical. Kim likes to organize it based on player count, so depending how many people come over, she knows exactly what shelf she needs to go to. I personally like to do mine color-coded.

Um when I think of a game, I just immediately think of the cover and what the game looks like, and so it makes it really easy for me to find games and grab games when when I'm thinking of I don't know Lost Ruins of Arnak I go to the green section because I know it's primarily a green cover. Um so I think that's what I'm going to do with these shelves. I've got two of them and I almost wonder if I need to get a third for this other wall kind of right here. Can't really see it because we we genuinely do not have like any storage in here. But I think what I'm going to do can you see me kind of? I think I'm just going to go ahead and start trying to find all my red game placing them with the games that we just threw on these shelves. The other problem that I kind of ran into is I don't have I like I don't have as many reds for example as I do blues and greens in regards to covers. So I don't know if red would really fill up everything that I need it to. I don't know.

We're just going to figure it out. I also didn't mention that in this corner we also shoved Jordan's like computer setup. So not only do we have my my board games and my massive board game table we also have kind of Jordan's setup in an very small room a very very very tight room.

Um I'm not sold on this setup. That's another thing that we could move things around. We tried moving the table different ways and I think this is probably going to be the best way for the table.

Honestly there's not a ton of board games that have

like really dark red colors or maybe just not ones that I have. Like red is always my shelf that's super like there's tons of blues tons of greens. There's these even like a decent amount of black or really dark ones. But red for whatever reason is kind of hard. So I'm looking around trying to find

them. Um and I'm not really organizing them super much. I'm just trying to kind of get them to general areas. Okay, I feel like the biggest idiot. For whatever reason, I didn't realize that the back of Return to Dark Tower looked like this. Did I really never notice that? It's like I almost Well, I don't know. The front cover is pretty cool, too. Let's see. The front cover is pretty cool, but that back cover, I had no idea looked like that.

Because I do organize by color, I actually really love it when publishers have different colors on different size like sides of the box. So, I technically could put Explorers of Noria in purple or orange or kind of blue green or green

um just depending on where I need it. So, because I kind of I'm needing more orange, I'm going to think I'm going to go ahead and put it right here for right now. Planet Evacuation, I got this on I was like a really crazy sale. I want to say it was Board Board Game Bliss. I think I got it for like 10 bucks. Like it was so cheap. So, I just got it because it was such a good deal. Um but I have yet to open it and I'm kind of sad about it. Like it's one I really am interested in and one I would like to play, but I'm looking around me right now and the amount of games that I have it's just insane. Like I'm going to have to call. I'm going to have to purge. So, if you have played Evacuation, if you think it's worth keeping, please let me know in the comments or if you think it's one that's probably worth putting in the potential purge pile, let me know that as well because I need all the recommendations.

I know everybody's going to be giving me grief that having Blood Rage in shrink. I obviously have played Blood Rage. I love Blood Rage. It's one of my favorite games. I just have yet to actually open my own personal copy cuz I've always just used other people's. I found a handful of kind of red, orange, yellowish games. I'm now going to kind of order them where I'm going to have darker reds on this side, slowly kind of fading to oranges and then yellows.

Yeah, I'm struggling with this Dune War for Arrakis one. This is where the color coding system It looks really nice when it's done right. Um but then you run into issues like this. Or something that even drives me more crazy

is when games have like a sequel or something that goes with it, but it is a completely different color scheme than the first one. Then it's like, "Okay, how do I Like, for example, all of the Wingspans, right? They're all a different color. And so it's like, "Okay, how What's the best way to What group What color do I put all the Wingspans in?" I don't know. So really I guess I technically just need the bird box is what I need for all that. But um or the nesting box is not the bird box, the nesting box. But yeah, so I don't know because I mean it's orange. I guess Maybe I would put it on this side with the oranges. Because and then another thing I'm running into is these shelves are actually kind of leaning a bit,

which makes me nervous. We're obviously we're going to anchor them to the wall, but I still don't really want to put too much weight.

I just opened this box and it made me so happy. A sweet follower of the channel, really dear friend of mine, sent me Honeybuzz fall flavors. If you remember when Jordan got laid off, I just like panicked and I ran I ran to a GameStop just to make myself feel better and I saw this I saw this expansion which I'd wanted. I'd been looking forward to for so long. Um, we weren't kind of sure if it was actually going to deliver or not, but um, anyways, long story short, I really wanted it and it was at the store and I was like, "Oh, I really want it, but Jordan just got laid off. We have no money." And just the sweetest person in the entire world

actually sent me a copy of it, which I am so Oh, just warms my heart every single time I see it. So, thank you so much. You know who you are. I can't even believe I'm saying this right now, but we have actually ran out of space. I'm looking around and I'm still seeing more reds and yellows on the floor. So, I think what I'm going to do is I'm just going to move past

red, orange, and yellow so far. I'll just leave all of them and then we'll just kind of see what we are left with at the end and kind of see where we can put that. All right, welcome back to day two of trying to organize my chaotic game room. So, we left off doing kind of red, orange, yellow a bit and then I actually had a family

a family kind of emergency. I had to run and go deal with. So, we are back at it this time, but we're starting with green. This whole shelf is going to be green. So, I then I think these bottom two we're going to have these be blue. So, that's kind of where we are at right now, trying to find all of the green games.

So, I'm kind of running into an issue with Everdell. Lots of them do not match and are not green. But, I'm pretty sure most of them are green. So, like look, Mistwood.

I run into this issue with Everdell every time. I guess if I did Is that green? It's kind of looking more light green, huh? Or maybe even yellow. So hard. Okay, let's see if there's another. There's this green. But, then that's kind of like more like it's darker. You see the problem? It's like darker than that one. This one's more blue. I think have I done Everdell before in purple? I can't even think. I think this one probably looks better with this side. Well, I don't know. Let's see. Maybe there's another side to Everdell. Okay, see look, that's dark.

Maybe we do that. Let's see. That might work. Maybe. Okay, now where are the Where are the other expansions? Oh, we also have Everdell duo, see? And I kind of want Everdell duo by Everdell. Hm. Uh

Well, we first have to find the rest of the expansions, so. Oh, look. Here's Pearl Pearl Pearlbrook. Oh, but see, Pearl Brick is super light. Oh, that's just not going to work.

There's so many different shades of green.

It's super overwhelming, actually. What I really need is Jenna. Jenna, I need your help. You're so good at this. I am not I like the look of it when it's done. I'm not really good at putting it together, though. Like I think that kind of works so far, but the problem is the rest of the greens. Like I don't know where to put this. Deep regrets. It's such a It's such a like a limey green. I have a special package coming soon that might have some fun new goodies for Tend, which I'm really excited about. So, as soon as I get them, I'm going to take pictures everywhere cuz Tend is still probably my favorite game from IV Studio. I love Tend.

And guess what? I found even more games. Something's not right here, and I can't figure it out. Viticulture. Man. I always struggle with Viticulture. It's such a Like it's such a weird It really is a weird color cuz it's dark. Like it's like an olive color almost. I like it would look weird being over here.

I think I'm going to have to show you proof that the rest of my house does not look like this. The rest of the house is clean, put together, pictures are even hung on the wall, drapes are up. This is the last room. And this was the most chaotic room out of everything. This room is just chaos. Um but here's another part that I don't know if I've showed you yet. More games stacked in here. I have to figure out what to do with and where to put. So, I'm still looking for green. I'm trying to find something that goes on top of Tent. Harmonice Harmonice should definitely go up. Oh, and Tag Team. Let's for sure move Harmonice and Tag Team up to yellow. Oh, there's no more space up there. Okay, we're going to set these over here cuz I want those out cuz I love those ones.

This one is green. And technically Fossils is green too, but the problem is I'm I don't really want my kind of more kid games, I guess you could say. Games that I play with my children. I don't know if I necessarily want those on the shelves.

And I don't I don't know. I don't know. This might work. Flamecraft Duels Do I like Flamecraft Duels enough to go up on the shelf? Is [snorts] it a shelf-worthy? We need a dual hole. Actually, as I've been putting all these games on the shelf, it's actually kind of crazy

how many I'm putting on the shelf that I just kind of am going I don't know if if to play that one again. I don't know if that necessarily needs to be here. And then there's some that I pull that I'm like, "Oh my gosh, yes. I need to get this tabled." Um I miss this game. So, it's funny. Like if you take a step back from the games for a bit and you come back, it's kind of clear which ones maybe are not worth hanging on to for me personally. So, I think a purging video is coming. Maybe we should just move on to blue at this point. It's kind of what I'm thinking. If here are blues, we are absolutely not going to have the same problem that we did with the greens. We're going to have too many blues.

Too many things we want to put on the shelf. So, I'm just going to start clearing and then putting stuff back on. So, I think I'm going to start darker blue. Wow, the lighting's pretty bad. Sorry. I'm going to start darker blue, work my way around, and gradually fade to lighter blues underneath. Or no, maybe we should do lighter blue. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and then purple. So, you know what? Maybe actually we'll start with lighter blues.

So big. So good. Bye. Go.

I already know everybody's going to give me crap for having Risk: Lord of the Rings. It's awesome, okay?

I love Risk: Lord of the Rings. I think it's so much fun. So, yes, it's a part of my collection. And we are back again on the third freaking day of trying to set up this game room. I am super busy, okay? So, we're just going to jump back into it and see how far we get. I hope we finish it right now. We have a good handful of hours. What is this? You want a fruit strip? Okay, here you go.

I'm this close to just throwing everything out and being done with it. So, this is kind of where we left off. We were kind of setting up some of the blues. Um but, we still have I mean, seriously, we have so many games it's actually insane. So, um we're just going to keep going here and maybe try to get some more darker blues and then hm I don't know. I don't know. Maybe start going into some of the darker tones down here.

Maybe we should be going from lighter purple to darker purple cuz then black will be down here. So, let's try to find Yeah, there's purple in that. I think I'm actually going to be sending this one to Kim though.

Oh, yeah.

So, maybe sit this on Daddy's desk for me. Yep. Two thumbs up. Good job. Can I Can I see your thumbs up? Yep, that That works, too.

Look, we got them settled.

Is that more pink?

Um no.

Does that look more pink than purple?

No. Yeah. Purple.

Okay, so not only are we dealing with the colors, okay? But, we're also dealing with boxes that don't freaking fit in this shelf. Don't fit, which means it has to be turned sideways.

Mom, that's cool.

Kind of lighter purple though. Where does pink? Where does pink fall into the rainbow? Okay, let me think. Red, orange, yellow. Would pink come before? Should pink technically be No, cuz that it is a purpley It's not really pink. Ah!

I believe I'm finally to the point where I have enough games kind of on the shelf and organized semi okay so far where we can actually start clearing off this table.

So, I found all of these art prints that I've kind of been hanging on to for a while. Um Andrew Bosley, who is the sweetest man alive. He sent me a bunch of prints a while ago um and even signed a couple of them. Oh, look how cute. The little turtle from Everdell. And I'm kind of trying to think of a way to possibly like display them or hang them up on kind of that wall over there. I think they could be really cool, but I also think I might need a few more and some more in like some different sizes. Um but they're really cool prints. Like I like them a lot. So, maybe I just need to go try to find some more board game prints that I can get.

Here I have come to the conclusion that this table is absolutely too big for this room. But you know what? I'm not changing a thing about it because I love this table. There are many games that really do take up this much space.

Um and I would just so much rather have this space than not. Um but it is uh

it is very big and I think we're just going to have to get chairs cuz like we have one bench that actually is going to like slide under here. I think I just need to find another one to slide under the other side. So, and that's what we'll use for seating because we don't really have room even like I actually sold the chairs that we had to this table because the back was so big. It was like a big like art like arched back. And it just would have taken up too much space. So, I just need to get another bench.

We have a clean board game table. Oh my gosh. I never thought I would see this day, but we're here. We made it. We have a clean board game table. I need to vacuum this off, get it cleaned up. And now we have a huge pile of games. This Well, I don't We still have more space. Okay, we still have more space down here. So, let's grab some more and see if we can find any purple or black games, but first I need to vacuum the table.

You can see the shelves are slowly starting to come together. Still not perfect by any means, but they are getting there. And then we have a big old stack of games

that still need to be shelved. I just found Nidavellir and I

actually just found out a week ago, a couple weeks ago, I can't remember, um, that there's actually a new game that is out for this. It's It's What is it called? It's like the Dwarves. Isn't it the Dwarves of something? I can't remember. I'll throw up a picture of it, but I'm super super stoked and I want to try it because I really like Nidavellir a lot.

It feels slightly unreal that I'm saying this right now, but I think we finally have a semi-put-together game room. It feels so good to have everything off of the ground and put away. Granted, we still have a pile of games in the corner and it's still not like perfect, okay? It's not exactly how I normally like it. I'm definitely going to be spending some time kind of reorganizing, trying to get the colors right cuz I know especially the greens are kind of throwing me off right now. Um, but I think we're we're getting there, right? We're getting there. And that pile of games is big enough that I'm definitely thinking we're going to be doing a purge soon. So, stick around for that. We'll be probably purging a handful of games, probably doing a couple giveaways with that. So, definitely keep an eye on the channel cuz I just don't I just don't have the space, especially considering, you know, getting back into the hobby, back into the swing of things, and probably getting new games that are coming. I just I simply cannot hold the amount of games that I did. And then, with new games coming, I know Alex from Board Game Co um does this. He has, you know, if one enters the collection, it's a one in, one out type of system. And I think I'm going to have to implement that because we just we simply do not have the room.

If you made it this far in the video, thank you so much for watching me kind of try to get my board game room kind of set up. I really appreciate the support. And yeah, I guess just get used to this kind of new setup and what Board Game Buzz is going to look like. Again, thanks so much for watching this video. If you wouldn't mind liking, subscribing, and doing all the good stuff to support me and the channel, I would really appreciate it. But until next time, I hope you have a great rest of your day, and we'll see you later.
