  • It's full gam straight up gambling today.
  • Yeah, I don't know, maybe I was doing something wrong there if you guys are watching later and like feel free to comment in the description anything you noticed that like maybe I was doing wrong.
  • This one's like super cheese like look there's there's only like three like two two kinds of henchmen look at how basic the objective is.

Quotes (from this video)
  • So, when I heard about Marvel Dice Throne Missions, I thought it might be another campaign style, and it is not. That is a nice part about this is that it is more of a oneoff sort of episodic almost like a TV show if you will where you can kind of play as you want to and you're also not stuck with a single hero.
  • It doesn't feel like something I want to just non-stop play through 20 missions, which is not a bad thing at all because I think the the the part that I'm trying to get across or the point I'm trying to get across is that it's not one of those campaign games where you you have to play it or if you step away from it, you're going to forget what's going on and you're going to be like, "Ah, I got to start all over again."
  • No, this is a lot more casual, a lot more relaxed.
  • This system has been really nice. I do like it. Again, it is not a campaign.
  • really awesome product. I love all of the dice thrown stuff, but this particularly is great for enjoying it solo in a way that is just nice to be able to pick up whenever I want to and not feel stuck in an ongoing campaign.

Quotes (from this video)
  • I like missions a whole lot. Spoiler, I like it more than Dice Throne Adventures.
  • This is a four out of five.
  • Gambit's pretty awesome because he's got the basic dice stuff, but he's also got these ace cards over here
  • This kind of a a fun little wrinkle on the regular dice thrown formula.
  • So, the best chances to go for another three. I am taking the full damage from barbed w Hey, that's too many threes.
  • Oh my gosh. Whoa. Uh, this is great rolling.
  • Yes, love it. Oh, Iron Rain did fire as well, but we just get barbed vine because we are next to somebody.
  • I think I'll take that. So, yeah, let's go and use her ability. So, I'll spend three more and I will exhaust her. So, I'll get plus a plus two damage token. Then I get to pick up one of these and resolve it for free.
  • I mean, here's where I would probably just go to one and suck up the crit cuz that's just so many tokens if the game was not going to be over.
  • I think I want to go for slight of hand because that does a little bit less damage, but I don't need the acceleration and regaining two ace cards would be great.
  • So, he is defeated. Yay.
  • So, I unlocked level three. Three. So, next time I do a perfect thing, I'll have unlocked level four and then a couple more times I'll get to level five.

Quotes (from this video)
  • So, I'm kind of just doing this kind of version of solo play against the boss um to see how it works out and kind of just practice playing a character against a boss without having to go through a campaign.
  • So, what's cool about rule pop for dice thrown is that they tell you the different tokens that you could uh gain and then you can figure out what it does because I don't remember everything.
  • Overall I think it's fun.
  • Definitely enjoying learning all the characters that came in the Outcast Kickstarter that I got.
  • The game felt a little light with the Dreadfuls.

Quotes (from this video)
  • I'm doing a solo playthrough of Dice Throne.
  • So, we have Nevermore, the companion.
  • So, I think I'll probably do the file uh friend upgrade and then we'll just go all the way down to zero CP and then we're going to roll.
  • So, unfortunately, we weren't able to take them out, which means they'll get a chance to attack us.
  • So, the king's hand refers to the boss. So, they do just come in with two.
  • I really like Ravenous. I think this is going to do really well in competitive play.
  • I'm definitely excited to do um 1v one with her. So, we'll give that a try and especially with Nevermore. That's a very interesting um mechanic there. Lots of uh lots of strategy with how how I would be able to use Nevermore.

  • It's just going to be the winner of this tournament because we've done some randomization here with some of the games that we've matched up.
  • kind of a popularity contest each time.
  • there I don't think there is a single pairing where to me it's just an obvious choice. These are all going to be tough choices.
  • Again, they're all two player games, so we won't belabor it by telling you that every single time.
  • I don't mind stepping my foot on the scales as much as I possibly can, as much as you even care, but come on, Quarto.

  • Splendor Duel is worth trying for sure.
  • It is such a great two-player game.

  • Make sure everyone has fun at the table
  • We are going to do a bracketed tournament for two player games culminating in not what I would say, it's not going to be the best two player game necessarily. It could be. It might be, but it's just going to be the winner of this tournament because we've done some randomization here with some of the games that we've matched up
  • You can fill out your own brackets, but you are also going to be picking the winners cuz we're going to be running polls on our Discord for each and every match up so that it's I mean, for lack of a better way of putting it, kind of a popularity contest each time.
  • I think Twilight Struggle was the game that popularized the two-player experience, at least as far as I'm concerned.
  • Oh, for a long time. Forever.
  • it is what a lot of people think of when you say when you say, 'Name a two-player game.' Lost Cities.
  • These These do have the the downside of being a little older games.
  • go to our Discord cuz as you're watching this right now, you can go to our Discord and go to the two-player March Madness channel on Discord. You'll be able to download the brackets. You'll be able to participate in all the polls that we're doing there.

  • Hi I'm Stella, here at Meeple University we do a variety of quality board game videos, how to play, overview, review, playthrough, vlog and our segment at board game breakfast The Dice Tower so if you new here I'm let each found out consider subscribing and hit the bell button to be notified when we post new videos
  • Players are heroes battling against each other to be the last player standing for the right to face the king and take the throne
  • The game comprises alternating turns in which players attack an opponent by rolling his or her fire dice and these dice are unique to each hero the player may then perform up to two partial or complete rerolls attempting to create one of the attack combinations shown on his or her player board
  • The mechanism which prevents the group from ganging up on a single player and the attack will deal some damage as well as potentially inflicting some negative temporary effects onto the target.
  • Players will also gradually build up a hand of cards through the game which can be played to power up the players abilities to manipulate dice while rolling in attack or some other effects.
  • The game can be played in teams or as a free-for-all
  • The theme with the game is quite straightforward so you are controlling heroes to play with that special ability of each hero.
  • The game similar to king of Tokyo and key from king of New York it has that yet see mechanics where you roll the dice and be roles and trying to make certain combination out of the dust that you get.
  • It is highly like base and dyadic art throwing as well it's quite heavily based on luck I feel that though you need to play the games a few times to get the feel and the the game rose so that the game can goes quicker.
  • After a few play dough it is fun and we feel like team phasis team is more fun rather than just more than two players.
  • When it comes to team versus team it's more fun it's and also more social this two fist is two versus two or three fifty three and three four.
  • There is also a small level of strategy in false with the cards so it's not just dice rolling and draw the cards and see what happens.
  • The thing that could cause a little imbalance in the game is the way the car works in addition of the dice roll especially if your card is not there you kind of like know what's happening but because of the cards there you have this big deck of cards it may cause a little bit more chaos.
  • The game is highly replayable because of the number of heroes you have you can combine season one and season two.
  • The components in out wait it looks great even from season one it was already pretty cool with six sets of trades that you have and then there's that step it up again on season two even more with eight different heroes.
  • The game Lang holds downtime I don't think I don't think it's not a lot it's a quick action each player either way you get to watch anyway what your opponents are doing.
  • It's almost like a party games again after a few plays I think it will be good with kids eight years old and above they would have fun.
