I Emptied out my Shelf of Shame!

Oh, today's about to be a real good one. I played every single board game in my collection again.

Hello everyone, welcome back to the Wolfpack. So excited to have you here today because we're doing a full board game studio tour of my current collection. Now there have been a ton of changes. I've also have moved stuff physically around office because I redid my entire studio wall. That tour is coming soon, but I want to go over shelf by shelf and show you what's currently in the collection. I'm going to show you all the empty space, which is amazing because that means more games can come in, and we'll do a final count at the very end to see how many games are currently in the collection. Plus I'll show you the very first new game that's going to come in the collection and sit in one of these empty spots very very soon. Now I organize my shelves in three different ways. The first one is by play. This means by category. If I want something to pick up really quick, I need to know that this category of games is quickly available for play. So the first shelf is all the party games. Not much has changed here because I feel like the party games I've had in my collection have already been a staple and something that everyone enjoys playing. Got games that will make people laugh like Shifty Eyed Spies. Got quick games that could just fit in my pocket to introduce to brand new gamers like Flip Seven.

Like Wanted One Bats with the playmat. Tapple and Nuts to Go Go for those goofy game nights. This one is my favorite party game to introduce to everyone right now. Excalibur and the final deluxe edition, which I did buy this myself. So this one look at that, brand new in shrink. This was the prototype version that we filmed in the castle. Right, so it's got a purple back versus a a non-purple back. I think the text has been simplified a lot more in the final edition. Now aside from the party games, we also have a ton of my solo games that I'm playing here on shelf. So, we have the big one, Elder Scrolls, Vantage, Zuwadis, which I don't play as often anymore because people get a little too upset with this game, but I love it, which is why this is staying. I want to eventually make videos on this one, Hopping Maus Victorum, and Remaster because I'm having a ton of fun with this. It reminds me a lot of Street Fighter, which is why this has stayed in the collection as well. Now, on the bottom, got Say the Spy here. Tea Witch is and Fountains aren't shrink, but I have played them already multiple times.

I really love Fountains because it's just a easy game to introduce to a bunch of players, too, and the tiling aspect and how big the foam pieces are really gets people going right away. I've played Tea Witch a couple of times already. I don't know how much longer this is going to stay in the collection. I love the art. I love the production value with all the deluxe bits and everything, and the concept is really fun, but it's just a bit fiddly. Like, I just don't ever feel like this is a a smooth game that we've ever played every single time. Mythwind, if you follow my channel at all, you know that I absolutely love this game, and it is not going anywhere. Sushi Kitchen has a really fun dexterity element to it. You have like wind blowing up these little ping pong balls, and you're grabbing them with chopsticks. I just want to make a quick video about it, and then after that, my niece wants it, so this is going to be gone, leaving some more empty space, which is a good thing because more empty space means more new games.

And then, Ready Set Bet. I feel like also meets the same condition as Everdell, the big box. Every time there's a big box game, I've gone to realize like, yes, I love things in just one box, but the bigger the box, the less likely that it actually will get played. I think this is more of a holiday game for me when I have family in. It's not a game that will will play on a regular basis.

I know up there is not the most aesthetic thing, but I got nowhere else to put these games, and bangs. Oathsworn, I've not made it through half of the campaign, but I'm putting on hold for now because I do want to make some other videos on Primal, which you won't see here in my shelf cuz I'm currently playing it in another room. Tin Garden, I need to physically bring down to my lower shelves because ever since it's sat up here, I also haven't played it as often, but it's one of the few tile-laying games that I really love just because there's a really cool 3D terrain to it, and the bonuses that you build up as you combo off different pieces physically and by actual effects in the game are really, really fun. Now, here's a shelf that I really want to expand, and probably the category of games that I'm trying to buy the most, which are my tiny boxes because my family's super I mean, they've always been into board games, but I feel like because I've introduced them to a couple others that have really hit the mark for game night, they're like more into it than usual. But, they will play smaller, lighter games. Small box trick-taking games are probably their favorite. Here are a ton of the games for that, including a bunch of two-player games like Tag Team: Dracula vs. Van Helsing, we've got Grachten Pond, Scout, Dracula vs. Van Helsing. In the very deep corner is Rolling Realms, which is one of the few roll and write that I really enjoy.

That one and Ten are probably like my only roll and write games that I actually enjoy playing. As we make our way down the shelves, now we get into the family games where if they are awake and they're caffeinated, these are the games that I want to play a little bit more with my family and they're way more strategy involved and they're deeper, they're thinkier. Survive the Fattest, Team Up, Bark Avenue, Dog Park, Summer Camp Raw, Apothecary, all of them are around the same complexity and difficulty level. They also have really cute C art, which my family really loves, too. And then, I mean, come on, one of my favorite games of all time still, Aquatica. This is definitely not going anywhere. Come on. So, in this darker corner, I don't know why I'm whispering. In this darker corner are a lot of the games that I just have no place for them because they're mostly trophies or sort of just here to be here, which is fine. Nothing bad, but they do take up shelf space. Maybe if I find some storage areas somewhere else, I'll keep them there. But these are the games where I'm like purely keeping for memory's sake. And the very end here, we got the original Bantam West. I am dying to play the brand new one since that one has been streamlined a ton, the one that I found in Spain.

Un juego de aventuras y batallas en el bosque. A Marvel chess set that my wife got me for my birthday one year. And this copy in shrink still of the crocodile. And this copy and this legendary edition of Dwellings with the crocodile cover. Still in shrink that I bought and kept for quite some time now. I may even just open it because my copy of Dwellings is pretty beat up as you can guess.

Now, we get to shelves three and four, what I would call {quote} the big games. Now the reason why is because these are the games that give me the most satisfaction, the games that I always want to play and that I always try to make it to the table if A, we got the time and B, we got the group down to play and commit to these bigger games. Earlier I mentioned how I organized a lot of these games by play, which is true because these are a ton of air control games that you'll see in a second, but the second way I tried to organize this is by getting all the boxes for one game, all expansions and everything into as little shelf space as possible. I wish I could get Lords of Hellas into one box, but we got the Warlord box, we got the main box, we got the City of Steel and the Lord of the Sun and the Atlas expansion.

Look at the size of this miniature compared to my head. This is not going to fit in the box, and unfortunately, will take up shelf space that could technically fit about three of these small box games by IV Studio. Three more games. Now, this top shelf does have a bunch of small games just because of the size that these Hemnes bookshelves from IKEA can actually fit. And then up top, we got a broken box of Kemet and Scythe. Pokemon Splendor doesn't really belong on this shelf. I hate how it's like oriented sideways, but along this shelf, we have Red Rising, got Ankh, Wonderland's War, Foundations of Rome, which is usually along the family-friendly side, of course, but this box is so massive. Just look at the sheer size of this game. And the complexity is like a 1.5 out of five. I also tried to put games together just in case I forget expansion components everything. Like for Blood Rage, this actually should be together here. Now, shelf four is where my favorite game of all time rests along with randomly the Dice Throne because I don't know where else to put it. Now, Marvel Dice Throne has not changed. It is here in the collection, but it is accompanied now by Marvel X-Men Dice Throne. Below that, we got a bunch more IV Studio games, Brink, Fractured Sky along with the expansion. I can't wait for Pittsburgh to join Brass: Birmingham. I'm working on some stuff with Vindication, and I got their brand new action trackers. Probably the most complex game I have in my collection, which is Lisboa. And trust me, I got a bunch more Lisboas.

Well, they're already here technically, so they're just in a box that I haven't opened yet. And then at the bottom here, we got Tent Pirates, which we just filmed a commercial for. Kinfire Council, which we just did a gameplay for. Wild Garden, super fun, but the group I played it with just took so long in their turn, so I'm like, I need a break from this game for a second. Now, The Breach, another little disclaimer here. I have played every game except a few expansions. One of them was Marvel Champions: Sinister Motives, and the other one are expansions from The Breach, but I have played the base game twice already. And then Thunder Road Vendetta continues to be a game that I introduce to brand new players and people just have so much fun with this game. I just can't I can't deal with the expansions, so I never introduce the expansion at all, only the base game. Before Andromeda's around, we had Dwellings and then we have Return to Dark Tower and all of its expansions on the very bottom of the shelf.

Here we are at my final shelf. Look at that, empty up top. Perfect for some bigger campaign games. And then Marvel Dice Throne Missions up here, which I played and I love this game. I knew it everyone was like, "You're going to love this game, Tim." And you were all were so right because this was so much fun. I can't believe that I haven't got this game played until I got to play it solo recently and it just slaps. This game slaps. It's like a It feels like a 2D arcade scrolling game and we're looking for it. So, love Marvel Dice Throne. I got through all of the solo games of Tanglewoods, gold, red, white, rose, and the purple one. So, that was a fun accomplishment. Here are all of my heavy euros, Galactic Cruise, Civil Unrest, Betrayal at House on the Hill, Taverns of Tiefenthal, Unconscious Mind, Looney Quest, Sweet Land, if you saw my top five video from last year, you know that I really have been raving about these two. I love Unconscious Mind. Civil Unrest has some staying power. We'll see how it goes. I haven't talked much about Galactic Cruise yet.

Or Betrayal at House on the Hill and Taverns of Tiefenthal, but I still want to get them played more often than just submit my thoughts about them, which is why they're here. And ultimately, this shelf I would say is actually my work shelf. So, this is where games are constantly rotating in and out, but again, everything here has been played. And then, the big white box is ATL or Eon Trespass: Odyssey. I have so many thoughts about this game, but I'm like, I need to get this played a couple more times to really solidify how I feel about this. I've had so much fun with Street Fighter and I've always kept it around because I just love the miniatures, but we finally got this played at two players the other day and I'm like, "Hold up. This is a really fun building game." So, I want to get a couple of other characters, play it out, and then we will have a video dedicated to that. Maybe in a list, maybe by itself. It's for light Lacerda, House of Fado Fado. This is some place so different from other Lacerda games, of course, because it's way easier. But, I just think the style overall just feels a lot more like flowy, a lot more straightforward than his other games, even though it is light. And then, Snow Planner, really love this game. It's a dice worker placement game. And last but not least, this giant big box, Merchants Cove, with absolutely everything. And that is the current 2026 board game collection with all these games played, a New Year's resolution accomplished in May. The only other game that is missing here, actually, is Primal the Awakening, which is sitting outside. But, other than that, we got a lot of shelf space.

Look at this. Empty empty empty empty. Look at this. So much space for more games. I am so excited to see what else is going to be joining the collection. We're going to finish off today by showing you the latest game that has currently arrived. Now, I do have a pile of cardboard boxes that have not been opened yet.

As of right now, those games in those boxes, some of them mysterious cuz I have no idea what they are. Other ones, I know I ordered. Like, I ordered a bunch of Lacerda games. But, the goal here is to just add in one game from that pile to the collection at a time. That way, I have just one game to work on, whether it's for play or for work, and I'm excited to show you all the new games coming in, and we will finish off today by showing you one that just showed up to my doorstep right now. I lost my voice because of Batman recently, but we got Root, the Homeland expansion, the frogs, the skunks, the bats are finally here. I did a video about this when it came out in its prototype form, but oh my gosh. Thank you to Leder Games for sending this one over. Of course, I cannot wait to play this.

Obviously, also got sent over the Squires and Disciples, frog clearing markers, regular clearing markers. Also got some of the other boards, brand new map the Gorge 2 in neoprene. Can't wait to play that one, and I also separately bought the mountain and lake playmat cuz I haven't had this neoprene one version just yet. Even though everything has been played, we still got a lot of new stuff coming in. Now, final board game count, even though for instance, like Black Rose Wars has like six expansions, this is still one game. With that in mind, the final count is 160 games. Hope you all enjoyed today's board game collection update. Thanks for hanging out with me, and if you made it to the very, very end, go ahead and comment win because we are celebrating wins right now. This is a win, and it feels so good. Like a breath of fresh air, just all that weight lifted off my shoulders, and now I hope you all get to do the same and get those games played one at a time when you can. Best way to do it. So, thank you all so much for watching, and I will see you all in the next one.
